In this paper, we propose a new simple scheme of layered nonlinear feedforward logic (NLFFL) overlaid on a linear feedback shift resistor (LFSR) to generate pseudonoise sequences, which have good balance property and large linear complexity. This method guarantee noiselike statistics without any designed connection scheme e.g. Langford arrangement.

In this paper, a code sequence generation method of the Suehiro sequence is suggested. In this method, a code sequence is generated only with integer sums and modular techniques. the auto-correlation and cross-correlation characteristics of the sequence generated by the method are investigated. The sequence generated by the suggested method has the orthogonality and satisfies the mathematical lower bound of the cross-correlation.

In this paper, for even integer N, we propose a new construction method of quaternary low correlation zone(LCZ) sequence set from a binary LCZ sequence set with parameters (N,M,L,$\varepsilon$). Proposed method applies the inverse gray mapping from Krone and Sarwate to binary LCZ sequences and their phase shifts. The only needed condition of binary LCZ sequence set used in this construction is even period.

In this paper we discover the generation principle of a sequence when the characteristic polynomial of the sequence is a power of a primitive polynomial. With the generation principle, we can rearrange a sequence. Also we get the linear complexity and the required term of the sequence efficiently.

The significant color enhancement in low quality Australian natural sapphire has been achieved by a hydrothermal method. The optimal conditions for the color enhancement of Australian natural sapphire were as follows; hydrothermal reaction temperature: $320{\sim}350^{\circ}C$, duration : 3 days, hydrothermal solvent: 2 M NaOH solution. After the hydrothermal treatment, Australian natural sapphires of transparent colors were obtained, and their grades were found to be improved from commercial to middle/top grade by value chart analysis.

In this paper, using bent functions defined [n the finite field we generalized the construction method of the family of p-ary bent sequences with balanced and optimal correlation property introduced by Kumar and Moreno for an odd prime p[3], called a generalized p-ary bent sequence. It turns out that the family of balanced p-ary sequences with optimal correlation property introduced by Moriuchi and Imamura [6] is a special case of the generalized p-ary bent sequences.

본 논문에서 제안된 Self_Decimated LM-128 키 수열 발생기(Keystream generator)는 2개의 비트 메모리 합산 수열발생기(summation generator)를 갖는 자체 클럭 조절형 키 수열 발생기(stream cipher)이다. Self_Decimated LM-128은 LM 계열에서 제시된 특수한 암호로 128비트 키와 128비트 초기 벡터 그리고 257 비트의 내부 상태를 가지며 128 비트의 보안 레벨을 유지한다. 알려진 보안 분석의 공격에 대비해서 2-비트 메모리를 이용한 합산 수열발생기와 자체 클럭 조절형 키 수열 발생기를 포함한다.

In this paper, we define a new Lucas-Padoovan sequence using the Padovan sequence, and a new topological interconnection network is constructed using it. Coding nonnegative integers using subsequences of the Lucas-Padovan sequence, and using this to construct a new Lucas-Padovan cubes to deal with topological properties.

Color enhancement of African rubies with dark red was carried out by the heat treatment and the hydrothermal treatment method respectively. The heat treatment method brought about an adverse effect causing the color to be deteriorated. However, the hydrothermal treatment method enhanced its color and clarity. The hydrothermal treatment conditions for color enhancement of them were as follows: solvent: 0.9M $Na_2CO_3-1M\;K_2CO_3$, temperature: $450^{\circ}C$, duration: 48 hrs, filling: $30\%$, pressure: 375 atm. As the results of characteristics for African rubies obtained under these conditions, it was known that the amount of $Cr^{3+},\;Fe^{3+},\;Ti^{4+}$ was reduced after the hydrothermal treatment from the ICP/MS and XRF analyses. Also, it was found that the red color from the colorimeter analyses was getting lighter. These results were consistent with the PL analysis showing that the intensity of the luminescence peak generated by the electron transition of $Cr^{3+}$ ion became lower after the hydrothermal treatment compared with the non-treated rubies.

One of important problems in the theory of sequences is to determine the values and number of occurrences of each value taken on by the cross-correlation. In this paper, we find the values and the number of occurrences of each value of cross-correlation between an m-sequence u(t) of period $2^n-1$ and its decimation $u(dt)(0{\leq}t{\leq}2^n-2)$ where n=2m, 2s|m and $d=(2^{2m}+2^{2s+1}-2^{m+s+1}-1)/(2^s-1)$. Also we show that a family of decimations leads to a four-valued cross-correlation.
