Biodegradation Enhancement of The Mixture of Kerosene and Diesel by using Biosurfactant from Pseudomonas aeruginosa F722 (Pseudomonas aeruginosa F722부터 유래된 biosurfactant를 이용한 등.경유 혼합물의 생분해율 향상)

  • We studied degradation effects of hydrophobic substrate such as kerosene and diesel by adding a biosurfactant originated from Pseudomonas aeruginosa F722 and chemical surfactants (Tween 80 and detergent) with aeration. The surface tensions of the biosurfactant, Tween 80 and detergent were 30mN/m, 39mN/m and 31mN/m, respectively. When the concentration of biosurfactant added in C-medium was 0.01 and 0.15%(w/v), the ratios of hydrocarbon degradation were 94.3% and 94.2% respectively. It was 6.2%(w/v) higher than when the concentrations of added biosurfactant were 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2%. The degradation ratios of the chemical surfactants (Tween 80 and detergent) were 94.5% and 93.5% respectively. The effects of the biosurfactant and chemical surfactants were similar on the degradation ratio in mixtures of kerosene and diesel. However, the population of viable p. aeruginosa F722 at the end of the cultivation period was twice as higher in the biosurfactant than that in the chemical surfactant. We also studied the effect of aeration (0.5vvm) on the degradation ratio. The biosurfactant addition experiment was conducted with 0.5vvm air, 35$^{\circ}C$, 150rpm, pH 8.0, 3days, 1.0% (w/v) substrate. When p. aeruginosa F722 and 0.15%(w/v) biosurfactant were added, the degradation ratio of hydrocarbon was 94.8%. Without p. aeruginosa F722, it was 68%. Thus, with aeration, the degradation ratio of hydrocarbon was increased by 26.8%. In addition, the cultivation time was shortened by 1/3. The degradation ratios of hydrocarbon in shaking culture (cultivation time; 3days) and stationary culture (cultivation time; 10days) were 94.8 and 93.7% respectively. Thus, the addition of biosurfactant and aeration enhanced the degradation of hydrocarbon originated kerosene and diesel.

Effect of additional gases on the Color of TixN Coated Film (TixN Coating층의 색상에 미치는 첨가원소의 영향)

  • Stainless steel is being used widely for various purposes due to its good corrosion resistance. There has been much research to produce a colored and corrosion-resistant stainless steel by several methods to use in decorating. In this experiment, we coated TiN(C,O,H)films on the SUS304 substrates with the DC magnetron sputtering system and then studied the texture and color of the films as a function of additional gases being inserted into the system. A (220) texture of TixN film changed to (200) by the addition of either hydrogen or the acetylene and changed further to (111) with an increase of the additional acetylene content. The addition of oxygen gas changed from the texture(220) to (111) to (200). The color of the TixN film changed from gold to gray to green with the increase of the content by the addition of oxygen gas, while it changed to pink and finally to gray with the increased of the content by the addition of acetylene gas. Reflectance increased in the region of short wavelength by the addition of hydrogen, but decreased with the increase of the oxygen and the acetylene content.

  • 수소경제로 가는 길목에서의 압축천연가스에 수소를 첨가한 수소-압축천연가스(HCNG)는 자동차 연료로서의 뛰어난 효과로 인해 미국, 캐나다, 유럽 등에서는 강화되고 있는 자동차의 배출가스 규제에 대해 만족할 수 있는 차세대 천연가스 자동차의 대안으로서 관련 기술개발과 실증사업에 주력하고 있다. 향후 수소시대의 도래에 즈음하여 HCNG의 사용은 수소사용에 대한 인식 향상과 아울러 수소사용을 안정적으로 공급할 수 있는 토대를 마련하고 수소제조 등 여러 분야에서 기술개발을 할 수 있는 부가적인 효과가 있다고 하겠다. 따라서 최근 국내에서 시내버스와 청소차등에서 천연가스 차량의 보급이 확대되고, 충전소도 점차 확대되고 있는 상황에서 HCNG 연료의 적용가능성을 확인하기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인프라 관점에서의 선진국과 국내의 기술개발 현황을 소개하고 향후 우리에게 필요한 과제가 무엇인지를 생각해보는 기회를 갖고자 하였다.

Effects of hydrogen addition during sputtering on the electrical properties of AIN insulating films for MIS device application (스퍼터링시 수소첨가가 MIS소자용 AIN절연박막의 전기적특성에 미치는 영향)

  • AlN thin films were fabricated by reactive sputtering for the application of MIS devices with Al/AlN/Si structure. It has investigated the surface morphology change, I-V characteristics, C-V characteristics, and chemical composition of AlN films with the intriducing time of hydrogen on the fixed deposition condition(RF power: 150W, sputtering pressure: 5mTorr, flow rate ratio of $Ar/N_2=1$, hydrogen concentration: 5%). By addition of the hydrogen the deposition rate decreased drastically whereas the surface morphology changed little. It has been found from the analysis of I-V and C-V characteristics curves that the films deposited with hydrogen addition in initial stage had lower leakage current density, lower flat band voltage and hystersis profile when compared with those with hydrogen addition in last stage. The oxygen concentration in AlN films decreased with addition of hydrogen gas, which suggesting a profitable role in the insulation and C-V characteristics of AlN films.

A fundamental study of hydrogen supplemented natural gas vehicle to meet ULEV (저공해 수소첨가 천연가스차량 개발을 위한 기초연구)

  • In the present study, investigations were carried out to obtain data on combustion characteristics of methane gas and hydrogen supplemented methane gas in a constant volume combustion chamber. The main results obtained from the study can be summarized as follows. The maximum combustion pressure increases as the initial pressure and hydrogen supplement rate increase, the total burning time is shorten by lowering the initial pressure and by increasing the hydrogen supplement rate. The maximum flame temperature and NO concentration increase by the initial pressure and hydrogen supplement rate increase. The flame propagation processes in near stoichiometric mixture are propagated with a spherical shape, but in excess rich or lean mixtures are propagated with a elliptical shape. And, they are changed an unstable elliptical shape flame with very regular cells by increasing the hydrogen supplement rate.

Regeneration of Spent Nickel Catalyst for Hydrogenation (수소화 반응용 니켈 폐촉매의 재생)

  • Nickel oxide was recovered through roasting of a spent catalyst for hydrogenation reaction. Nickel on Kieselguhr catalysts were prepared by a precipitation method after a treatment of the recovered-nickel oxide with an acid. Effects of roasting temperature of the spent catalyst on recovery of nickel oxide was investigated. Most of nickel oxide could be recovered through roasting of the spent catalyst at $1000^{\circ}C$. In regeneration of catalysts by the precipitation method after the treatment of nickel oxide with an acid, the effect of promoter, precipitation condition and reduction condition on catalytic performance in vegetable oil hydrogenation were investigated. The addition of CaO or $Ce_2$$O_3$ resulted in an increase of catalytic activity.
