천곡동굴이 위치하고 있는 동해시의 천곡동은 동해시역 중에서도 중심부에 해당되는 지역이다. 이 지역은 북쪽의 묵호지역과 남쪽의 북평지역을 연결시켜주는 지역이며 교통도 매우 편리하고 앞으로도 크게 발전할 수 있는 곳이다. 또한 이 지역은 수산항이라고 할 수 있는 묵호항과 산업항인 동해항( 및 북평항)과의 중간지점에 위치하여 두 지역의 결합적 역할수행이 요구되고 있는 지역이기도 하다. 또한 동북아시아의 관광루우트 설정시에도 동해시가 동해안의 중심적인 현관구실을 하여야 할 곳으로 대두되고 있어 앞으로 인구흡인의 원동력이 될 수 있는 관광개발이 요구되고 있는 현실이다.

현재 국내 어항은 순수한 수산업 생산지로서의 한계에 도달했고, 국가어항 프로젝트를 통해 새로운 가능성을 모색하고 있다. 어항과 고유자원을 활용해 관광을 위한 개발로 방향을 잡고 있으며, 이에 부응하는 다기능 플로팅데크의 출현도 기대가 가능한 상황이다. 구체적으로 (1) 어항의 원기능을 담는 생활공간으로서의 작업용 데크, (2) 관광수요에 대응하여 휴식공간을 제공하는 레저용 데크, (3) 해상재해 시 안전공간으로서 이용되는 구조용 데크 등 세 가지 기능으로의 전환되는 플로팅 데크의 설계를 위해 기본 개념 정의와 조사를 진행하고자 한다.

이 연구는 국내외 환경 변화와 관광트렌드 변화에 따른 웰니스와 치유관광의 부상, 국내 치유 휴양관광정책 현황을 살펴보고 국내 해양치유정책의 추진방향을 모색하고자 했다. 기후변화와 고령화, 일과 삶의 균형 추구와 같은 환경 변화 및 융합관광, 슬로우트래블 등의 인기를 배경으로 치유와 휴식에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 국내에는 문체부 복지부 중심의 의료관광, 산림청이 주도하는 산림치유가 활성화되고 있다. 해양치유는 해양과 배후자원을 활용한 치유행위를 말하며 국민의 삶의 질 향상과 산업유성 및 일자리 창출을 목적으로 해양수산부가 추진하고 있다. 해양치유에 대한 낮은 인지도, 사회문화적 여건 미성숙, 법제도적 기반 미비, 해양공간의 특수성과 같은 제약 요인을 고려하여 향후 국내 해양치유정책은 법제도 기반 마련, 공간 및 인프라 구축, 자원 발굴 및 홍보를 중심으로 전개해나가야 할 것이다.

다대포항은 1971년 국가어항으로 지정된 후 40여년간 방치되어 왔으며, 어항 내 수리조선 등 환경저해요인으로 인하여 지역발전에 부정적 영향을 미치는 장소로 인식되고 있다. 그러나 최근 해양레저, 관광 등 해양활동에 대한 수요 증가로 도심의 연안에 위치한 어항 등의 해양시설물을 활용, 보다 쉽고 유용하게 친수공간으로 재개발하여 활용하고자 하는 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 다대포항 또한 지역적 개발 요구와 함께 해양활동에 대한 최근의 트렌드를 반영한 복합관광어항으로써의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 다대포항을 직접 활용하는 수산업종사자와 지역의 자원으로써 다대포항을 바라보는 배후지역 주민들 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, 지속가능한 어항 개발을 위한 해수면 상승 시나리오를 반영하여 복합관광어항으로의 다대포항 개발 방향을 제사하였다.

In terms of coastal and marine tourism, Busan's Haeundae had the nation's representativeness, and is pushing for many kinds of related policies to revitalize the special tourism zone. Due to a drop in the number of beach users, it is inevitable for the Haeundae Special Tourist Zone to face active responses to new trends emerging in the global tourism market. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present a tourism strategy for making the Suyeong River as a more competitive ourist resource along the zone. First, a language network analysis is conducted through interviews to understand the ideas of interest groups for the river cruise activation project. Second, the frame structure of stakeholders is used to analyze solutions by comparing the similarities and differences in recognition frames of interest groups. Third, we intend to analyze the detailed frame types of stakeholders and present new alternatives based on the structure of relationships between types.

The purpose of this study is to understand general perception of utilizing whale resources and preference for implementing whale watching tourism. This article examines perception of whale resources and identifies preferred types of the whale watching program in the feasibility of a whale watching tourism. And also analyzing the causal effect between perception of the whale resources and intention for participating in regarding the types of whale watching tourism. The results of this study showed that there are high interest in protecting and preserving of whale resources and low intention to resume the operation of commercial whale hunting. For utilizing of whale resources, we need to consider developing whale watching tour as ecotourism. The interest and watching for whale resources have a high level of relation with participating intention in whale tourism. Participation of whale tourism will be induced by developing new types of whale tourism to meet the interests for whale resources, This approach is hoped by authors to provide useful data for implementation of whale tour program and establishing improvement plan of whale tourism.

This study examines the issue of causality between ocean industries and urban economic growth in the sea port city. To maximize economic advantage of Busan as a sea port city, we first need to analyze the effects of ocean industries on urban economic growth. This study focuses on the examination of the role of ocean industries and its related variations in economic growth at the urban level. Using data from Busan. Metropolitan City in Korea during 1985-2011, we find that the causality link between ocean industries and urban economic growth rates runs in both directions. Especially, industries of shipping/port, marine tourism, and shipbuilding were the most important variables in Busan economy. With this information, the empirical results show that ocean industries and its related variations have significant effects on urban economic growth. Based on these significant research findings, theoretical and practical implications were discussed.

어촌은 바다, 섬, 자연경관, 해양레저, 수산자원 등의 다양한 해양 관광자원을 보유하고 있어 성장 잠재력이 풍부하나, 이를 통해 성장할 수 있는 기본적 인프라 및 콘텐츠가 절대적으로 부족한 실정이다. 또한 수산업 침체와 어촌인구 감소 및 고령화로 어촌 공동화 현상이 심화되고 있으며, 정주환경 저하 등 삶의 질 전반에 걸쳐 낙후된 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 어촌마을의 자원활용과 자원 간의 연계를 촉진시킴과 동시에 정주기능, 생산기능의 활성화를 도모할 수 있는 소득증대 방안을 마련하고자 함

The Korean Peninsula, jutting southward from the Asian mainland into the Pacific Ocean, is surrounded by numerous bays and islands on three sides. The study area of this research is the coastal area surrounding the Sacheon Bay, which is located in the mid-southern tip of the peninsula. Historically, the bay region took the role of the main gate leading to the western part of Kyung-nam Do(Province) due to the fact that the bay is the nearest coast to Chinju, the central city of the province. The Sacheon Bay had provided important sea routes from the old days until the early twentieth century. Because of the bay's sea routes, the bay region has been militarily of great significance. Recently, road/rail/highway/airplane transportation functions have become gradually increased but sea transportation function has been decreased in the region. As the Sacheon Bay was rich in fishery resources, dozens of fishing villages in the bay region depended on fishery and marine product industries for long years. But the inflow of the fresh water used to cause serious damage to the fishing industry in the bay region after a drainage canal from the Nam River was constructed in 1969. As a result, the industry has dwindled gradually for last decades. Recently, a couple of industrial parks were constructed along the coast and many manufacturing factories were built on the parks. It has been expected that many jobs lost in fishery and agriculture are replaced by new opportunities in industry. More than half of the workers employed in the parks' factories commute from the city of Chinju. It is asserted in this paper that the transportation, fishery, manufacturing, and tourism functions of the Sacheon Bay region are closely associated with. The characteristics of the region can be well understood through the functional changes and associations.
