  • 본고에서 피로균열성장에 대한 일반사항과 배관용접부 결함의 피로수명평가 방안에 대해서 알아보았다. 고압의 가연성 가스나 액체를 수송하는 배관이 피로에 의해 파괴되는 경우에는 엄청난 재산과 인적 손실을 발생시킬 수 있다. 따라서 배관운용회사들은 배관의 안정적인 운용을 위하여 다양한 환경에 노출되어있는 배관의 피로특성을 정확히 평가해야 한다.

  • 피로는 하중이 반복됨에 따라 균열이 발생하고 진전하여 마침내 파단에 이르게 되는 현상으로 강 구조물 고장의 원인 중 70% 이상을 차지하고 있다. 이 글에서는 기본적인 피로수명 평가방법에 대하여 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 용접구조물의 피로안전도를 평가하는 기술에 대하여 정리하여 보았다.

  • In order to increase design efficiency, it is required to design steam boiler pressure parts systematically considering daily start-stop operation and load variation. The objective of this research is to develope an integrated system for increasing design efficiency of boiler pressure parts. The developed system consists of three program modules: (1) flexibility design module for the header stub considering fatigue life, (2) fatigue limit calculation and life evaluation module for the thick-walled boiler pressure part under cyclic operation using TRD301 code, (3) drawing automation module for the header and drum producing design drawings, welding data and bill of materials.

  • This study was undertaken to find out distribution and contamination sources of microbes on the processing steps and to estimate quality index and shelf life of fried bean curd. It was necessary that the sanitation for water, processing environment and instruments at digestion, formation, cutting and processes after frying must be controlled and microbial growth at digestion and formation must be inhibited, to process efficiently and to improve shelf life of fried bean curd. It was evaluated that quality indexes as to sensory evaluation, especially texture, mold generation and total viable cell counts will be useful to estimate shelf life of fried bean curd and that shelf life of fried bean curd was 6 days.

Prediction of Penetration and Break Fatigue Life of Surface Crack (표면크랙의 관통 및 파단 피로수명 예측)

  • A method of prediction for the fatigue life of surface crack, that is, initial cracks grow and penetrate through the thickness, was presented in the previous study of the authors. Effects of parameters such as the initial crack depth, material factors, etc., for the life were also discussed. However, in the case of adapting the concept of LBB(Leak Before Break), the break fatigue life after the penetration of the thickness must be taken into account. Hence, a method to predict the break fatigue life is presented in this paper. Effects of the parameters for the break fatigue life are discussed and compared with the penetration fatigue life.

Service Life Prediction for Steel Bridge Coatings with Type of Coating Systems (도장계 종류에 따른 강교 도장의 공용수명 예측)

  • To predict service life of coating systems registered in Korean specifications for steel bridge coatings, field deterioration evaluation and accelerated weatherproof test were carried out, and deterioration models were drawn through regression analysis for evaluation results. For the coating systems that have not been used in field, regression analyses were carried out for the virtual evaluation results drawn by applying coordination factor to the field evaluation results for chlorinated rubber and urethane topcoat system. Service life prediction results showed that application of thermal sprayed coating (TSC) could extend service life of coatings to more than twice of general coatings.

A Study on Shelf-life Management Program of Long-term Storage One-shot System (장기 저장되는 일회성 시스템의 수명 관리 프로그램에 대한 연구)

  • This paper presents an analysis of the shelf-life management program of the long-term storage one-shot system. The one-shot system is mainly maintained with long-term storage or non-operating status and is operated once at execution of the mission. The function corresponding to one-shot is mainly operated through a shelf-life item such as an explosive. The performance and characteristics of shelf-life item are subject to change as the storage period passes. Therefore, shelf-life management for maintaining good condition is very important during long-term storage, and criteria for management is necessary. We present a method for optimizing shelf-life extension by comparing criteria for management with current reliability. Next, the shelf-life evaluation schedule was decided by utilizing the reliability function of exponential distribution and Weibull distribution. Continuously accumulated test data from the shelf-life evaluation were analyzed, and the parameter of distribution was updated. The extension or expiration of shelf-life was selected by monitoring changes in reliability. In addition, we confirmed the applicability of the presented shelf-life management program by applying ASRP test data of the one-shot system K000 fuse.

  • 테이퍼롤러 베어링의 축방향 과다 예압에 의한 수명 단축 효과를 실험적으로 검증하고 그 결과에 의한 베어링의 수명 분포를 분석하여, 기존의 $L_{10}$ 수명식에 비하여 현장 작동 조건에 따른 실질적인 수명을 산출할 수 있는 축방향과 반경방향을 고려한 수명식을 도출하고 이를 프로그램화 하여 설계 및 생산 현장에서 용이하게 활용할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • 국내 기존원전의 가동기간 증가 및 신규 원전에 대한 투자비 상승으로 인하여, 기존원전에 대해 연장운전을 포함한 종합적이고 체계적인 수명관리가 시급한 문제로 대두됨에 따라 고리 1호기를 시범발전소로 선정하여 주요기기들에 대한 지금까지의 소비수명과 잔여수명을 기술적인 측면에서 평가하고, 연장운전의 경제성, 인허가 가능성을 고찰하여 최적 수명 종료시점까지의 운전에 필요한 수명관리 추진방안을 검토하고자 한다.

Lifetime Estimation of a Bluetooth Module using Accelerated Life Testing (가속수명시험을 이용한 블루투스 모듈의 수명 예측)

  • This paper shows quantitative reliability evaluations of a Bluetooth module through extending previous qualitative methods limited to structure reliability tests and solder joint reliability tests for Bluetooth modules. Accelerated Life Testing (ALT) of the modules using temperature difference in temperature cycling as an accelerated stress was conducted for quantitative reliability evaluation under field environment conditions. Lifetime distribution parameters were estimated using the failure times obtained through the ALT, and then Coffin-Manson model was implemented. Results of the ALT showed that the failure mode of the modules was open and the failure mechanisms are both crack and delamination. The ALT reproduced the failure mode and mechanisms of failed Bluetooth modules collected from the field. Further, a quantitative reliability evaluation method with respect to various temperature differences in temperature cycling was proposed in this paper. $B_{10}$ lifetime of the module for the temperature difference $70^{\circ}C$ using the proposed method would be estimated as about 4 years.
