One and Two Dimensional Hydraulic Models Application for Simulation of Fish Habitat (어류 서식처 모의를 위한 차원 및 차원 수리모형 1차원 2차원 적용)

  • 최근 하천의 유지유량을 결정함에 있어서 어류의 서식환경을 고려하여 최적의 유량규모를 제시하는 연구결과가 국내 여러 연구자에 의해서 제시되고 있다. 하천에서의 어류 서식처를 고려한 유지유량의 결정방법은 미국에서 제시된 유지유량증분 방법론(Instream Flow Incremental Methodology)에 근본을 두고 있으며 대부분의 방법이 어류 서식처에 대한 수리모의를 위해서 1차원 수리모형을 이용하여 왔다. 특히 어류 서식처에 대한 1차원 수리모의를 위하여 물리적 서식처 모의시스템(PHABSIM)이 가장 보편적으로 적용되고 있으며 모의 결과로 제시되는 어류 서식처의 가중가용면적(Weighted Usable Area)을 토대로 하여 최적 유량의 규모를 제시하게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 어류 서식처를 고려한 하천유지유량 산정함에 있어서 최적유량 결정에 중요한 지표로 사용되는 가중가용면적(WUA)을 산정함에 있어서 일반적으로 사용되어 온 1차원 수리모형인 PHABSIM을 이용한 결과와 함께 최근 개발되어 수리학 분야에서 폭넓게 적용되고 있는 2차원 수리모형을 이용하여 산정된 결과를 비교하여 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 2차원 수리해석을 위해서 River2D를 이용하였으며 한강수계의 주요 지천을 선정하여 2가지의 서로 다른 수리모의 결과를 비교하였다. 대상 어종은 어류상 조사 결과, 각 지천의 우점종인 피라미를 선정하였으며 수리해석에 의한 어류의 서식처 모의를 위하여 필요한 서식처 적합도 지수 Habitat Suitability Criteria)는 낙동강 수계에서 작성된 결과를 이용하였다. 각 1차원 및 2차원 수리해석에 의해서 산정된 가중가용면적에 대한 상관분석을 실시하였으며 유지유량 증분방법론(Instream Flow Incremental Methodology)의 개념에 입각하여 최적의 유량 값을 산정하였다. 각 지점에서의 가중가용면적-유량 관계를 모의하고 대상 어종의 성장 단계별(산란기, 성어기) 가중가용면적(WUA)을 산정하여 비교.분석하였으며 분석결과 가중가용면적(WUA)값의 분포가 성어기, 산란기에서 선형(linear)으로 잘 표현되었다.

  • A three-dimensional numerical model of surface buoyant jets with variable density was established. The model uses fully nonlinear, time-dependent, three-dimensional, ${\sigma}$-transformed equations of motion and equation of heat transport. A semi-implicit numerical scheme in time has been adopted for computational efficiency. The model was applied for thermal jets discharging into a stagnant water and the simulated results were compared with a hydraulic experimental data set showing good agreement. Comparative studies of exchange coefficients and stability functions indicated that spatial variation of exchange coefficients should be considered and the existing stability functions should be modified to simulate surface buoyant jets accurately.

Effects of Growth Regulators, Temperature, and Light on the Germination in Wild Vegetable (Chwinamul) Seeds (生長調節劑 , 溫度 및 光이 취나물류의 種子發芽에 미치는 影響)

  • This study was conducted to determine the effects of growth regulators, temperature, and light on the germination of Chwinamul(Aster scaber, Aster tataricus, Synurus deltoides, Solidago virga-aurea var. asiatica, Ligularia fisheri) seeds. Compared to GA, IAA, and kinetin, BA (150ppm) stimulated best seed germination of all five species under the both light and dark condition at $25^{\circ}C$. The effect of growth regulators was not observed significantly under the light condition except of Ligularia fisheri and Synurus deltoides while it was shown markedly under the dark condition. Germination rates of Ligularia fisheri and Synurus deltoides in different concentration of BA were relatively higher under the light at $15^{\circ}C$ while those of other species varied in different concentration and temperature.

Diffusion in Coastal Waters of the Yellow Sea (황해연안해성의 물질확산에 관하여)

  • To investigate the flow patterns and diffusions in the Taean coastal waters of the eastern Yellow Sea, hydraulic and numerical experiments of tidal currents and diffusions of dye and cooling water were performed during spring tide along with field observations. Flow patterns obtained by the hydraulic and numerical experiments approximately coincide with those of the field observations. In the fold observations of tidal current, currents flow southwestward during the ebb tide, while currents flow northeastward during the flood tide. and the maximum velocity is 2.13 ㎧ toward WSW direction. The Eulerian diffusion coefficient estimated from field measmements of current is 7.82$\times$10$^{5}$ $\textrm{cm}^2$/s. Diffusion coefficients obtained from the area of dye plume in the model are given by the expression 0.18 $r^{4}$3/, and the coefficients have the range of 10$^{5}$ ~10$^{6}$ $\textrm{cm}^2$/s. These values are similar to the Eulerian diffusion coefficient estimated fram field measurements. Diffusion coefficients obtained in the hydraulic model are one to two orders higher than those obtained in the Onsan Bay in the eastern waters and two to three orders higher than those obtained in the Chinhae Bay in the southern waters of the Korean Peninsula. Diffusion patterns of cooling water by numerical experiments are similar to those of dye plume by hydraulic experiments. Both hydraulic and numerical experiment results of diffusions of dye plume and cooling water in the Taean coastal waters, have shown that the diffusion during the ebb tide is more prevalent than one during the flood tide.

  • This paper presents qualification process of the T700/701K turbo-shaft engine for Korean Utility Helicopter(KUH). The T700/701K is the rear-drive variant of the GE's T700-701C/D engine which was qualified for military applications in the world. The main scope of the development is the modification from a front-drive engine to a rear-drive one, the performance enhancement of the power turbine and the incorporation of two channel FADEC(Full Authority Digital Engine Control) system for more reliable operation. Therefore, T700/701K engine must be qualified by Korean government in order to perform a flight in the country. Reflecting the influence of developing scope, the main requirements including performance and control are verified by test and analysis, while the requirement for module or component that is same to that of T700-701C/D are verified by similarity.

  • A finite element code was developed to analyze coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical phenomena. This code is based on the finite element formulation provided by Noorishad et al. (1984) and Joint behavior was simulated Goodman's joint constitutive model. The developed code was applied for T-H-M coupling analysis for two kinds of shaft models, with a joint or without a joint respectively. For a model without a joint, temperature increased from the shaft wall to outward evidently. The radial displacement showed opposite directions of outward and inward at some distance from shaft wall. For a model with a joint, closure of joint was found due to thermal expansion. The temperature distribution along a joint showed relatively lower than that of rock matrix because of low thermal conductivity and high specific heat of water. And it could be concluded that effects of thermal flow to joint were more than that of hydraulic flow in a rock mass.

  • This paper presents development activities of the T700/701K turbo-shaft engine for Korean Utility Helicopter(KUH). The main workscope of the development includes a modification from a front-drive engine to a rear-drive one, an performance enhancement of the power turbine and an incorporation of two channel FADEC(Full Authority Digital Engine Control) system for more reliable operation. The first engine run for development and qualification test was successfully completed in 2008. Since the PFRT(Preliminary Flight Rating Test) has been completed, the first flight of the engine installed in the first prototype of KUH has been successfully demonstrated in March, 2010 and the engine installation compatibility tests are being carried out during KUH flight test. The test and evaluation for qualification has been done except for the low cycle fatigue test up to date.

  • 포항가속기연구소 PLS-II 저장링에 설치 운용중인 In-vacuum undulator (이하, IVU) 내부 Cu/Ni foil에 발생한 국부적 손상에 대하여, 원인을 분석하고 수리 및 정상 운용을 위한 절차들이 진행 되었다. 해체된 IVU의 손상부위를 세밀하게 조사하고 손상 원인에 대하여 다각도로 분석하였다. 손상된 Cu/Ni foil은 개선된 신규 제품으로 교체하고, 손상 원인이 될 수 있는 부품들을 제거토록 하였다. IVU 내부 관측을 위한 장치를 추가 설치하고 안정적인 온도 데이터 획득을 위한 노력도 함께 검토 되었다. 본 발표는 IVU 손상에 대한 원인분석 내용과 함께 해체, 수리, 재설치 과정 등에 대한 종합적인 내용으로 한다.

Characterization of Conductive Fractures in Fractured Rocks using Borehole Logging Data

  • 본 연구에서는 전기전도도, 온도, 유속 검층을 이용하여 시추공내의 유동성 단열구조를 확인하고 각 유동성 단열구조를 통한 시추공간의 수리적 연결관계를 해석하였다. 검층은 자연상태와 인근 시추공으로부터의 양수에 의한 부정류상태에서 각각 실시되었다. 자연상태에서는 지하수 유동이 매우 느려 유동성 단열구조가 쉽게 인지되지 않으나, 부정류 상태에서는 각 시추공간의 수리적 연결성을 보여준다. 각 시추공별 검층에서 나타나는 유동성 단열구조는 모두 일치하지 않으며, 특히 부정류 상태에서의 유속 검층에서는 타 검층에서 인지된 유동성 단열구조중 일부만이 시추공간에 서로 수리적으로 연결되어 있음을 보여준다.
