A Study of the comparison of Inversion of Rayleigh wave Group and Phase Velocities for Regional Near-Surface 2-Dimensional Velocity Structure (천부지각 2차원 속도구조를 위한 레일리파의 군속도와 위상속도 역산의 비교 연구)

  • The surface wave data obtained in a tidal flat located in the sw coast of the Korean Peninsula were used to analyse the shear wave velocity structure of the area. First, the phase velocity dispersion curves were obtained by the tau-p stacking method and the group velocity dispersion curves by a wavelet transform method and the Multiple Filtering Technique by Dziewonski. The phase velocity dispersion curves exhibited bigger errors than the group velocity curves. The results showed that the wavelet transform method was more effective in separating the fundamental and the 1st higher mode group velocity curves than the Multiple Filtering Technique. Combined use of the fundamental and the 1st higher mode group velocity dispersion curves in the inversion for the shear wave velocity structure gave better spatial resolution compared when the fundamental mode group velocity was used alone. This study indicates that the group velocity dispersion curves can be used in the inversion of Rayleigh waves for the shear wave velocity structure, especially effectively with the higher mode group velocity curves together.

Pre-Monsoon Dynamics of Zooplankton Community in the Yongwol West River Tributary (갈수기 영월 한반도지형 습지 주변 유수역의 동물플랑크톤 군집 동태)

  • Pre-monsoon dynamics of zooplankton community were investigated in Yongwol West River tributary; wetland shaped Korean Peninsula. Zooplankters were collected at three sites (stn 1: Yongwol West River, stn 2: Pyungchang River, stn 3: Jucheon River) monthly during the period between March and July 2014 except April. Totally 58 taxa of zooplankton occurred, consisting of 27 species of rotifer, 18 species of cladoceran, eight species of copepod, four kinds of aquatic insect larvae and one nematod. Lotic cladocerans of Alona spp. belonging to Chydoridae occurred frequently while typical lentic ones of Bosmina spp. and Daphnia spp. were not distributed, then sampling sites may be located in lotic waters. Zooplankton abundance recorded as $4,451-8,011indiv{\cdot}m^{-3}$ in Jucheon River but never exceeded $500indiv{\cdot}m^{-3}$ in other rivers. In Yongwol West River, dominant taxa were aquatic insect larvae from March through June and succeeded to cladocerans and copepods in July. Similar succession was observed in Jucheon River where aquatic insect larvae dominated in March and changed to cladocerans and copepods from May with high abundance. No such succession of zooplankton community was detected in Pyunchang River. Species diversity indices were the highest in Yongwol West River except in March. High values of dissolved oxygen ($9.0-11.0 mg{\cdot}liter^{-1}$) may show the characteristics of mountain streams. Water temperature increased gradually from $10.1^{\circ}C$ to $27.9^{\circ}C$ and pH varied within generally high range between 7.9-8.9, respectively. High value of pH seems to be derived from lime stone mines and cement factories around the studied area.

Receiver Function Inversion Beneath Ngauruhoe Volcano, New Zealand, using the Genetic Algorithm (유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 뉴질랜드 Ngauruhoe 화산 하부의 수신함수 역산)

  • To estimate the shear-wave velocity (${\nu}_s$ beneath the OTVZ seismic station on Ngauruhoe volcano in New Zealand, we calculated receiver functions (RFs) using 127 teleseismic data ($Mw{\geq}5.5$) with high signal-to-noise ratios recorded during November 11, 2011 to September 11, 2013. The genetic inversion algorithms was applied to 21 RFs calculated by the iterative time-domain deconvolution method. In the 1-D ${\nu}_s$ model derived by the inversion, the Moho is observed at a 14 km depth, marked by a ${\nu}_s$ transition from 3.7 km/s to 4.7 km/s. The average ${\nu}_s$ of the overlying crust is 3.4 km/s, and the average ${\nu}_s$ of a greater than 9-km thick low-velocity layer (LVL) in the lower crust is 3.1 km/s. The LVL becomes thinner with increasing distance from the station. Another LVL thicker than 10 km with ${\nu}_s$ less than 4.3 km/s is found in the upper mantle. Those LVLs in the lower crust and the upper mantle and the relatively thin crust might be related to the magma activity caused by the subducting Pacific plate.

A study of the prosodic patterns of autism and normal children in the imitating declarative and interrogative sentences (따라말하기 과제를 통한 자폐범주성 장애 아동과 일반 아동의 평서문과 의문문의 음향학적 특성 비교)

  • The prosody of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) has several abnormal features, including monotonous speech. The purpose of this study was to compare acoustic features between an ASD group and a typically developing (TD) group and within the ASD group. The study also examined audience perceptions of the lengthening effect of increasing the number of syllables. 50 participants were divided into two groups (20 with ASD and 30 TD), and they were asked to imitate a total of 28 sentences. In the auditory-perceptual evaluation, seven participants chose sentence types in 115 sentences. Pitch, intensity, speech rate, and pitch slope were used to analyze the significant differences. In conclusion, the ASD group showed higher pitch and intensity and a lower overall speaking rate than the TD group. Moreover, there were significant differences in s2 slope of interrogative sentences. Finally, based on the auditory-perceptual evaluation, only 4.3% of interrogative sentences produced by participants with ASD were perceived as declarative sentences. The cause of this abnormal prosody has not been clearly identified; however, pragmatic ability and other characteristics of autism are related to ASD prosody. This study identified prosodic ASD patterns and suggested the need to develop treatments to improve prosody.

Florida, USA Food-Related Lifestyle Segments of Older Consumers in Seoul and Its Characteristics (서울지역 고령소비자의 식생활 라이프스타일에 근거한 시장세분화 및 특성 규명)

  • The objectives of this study were to explore food-related lifestyle segments of the older consumers, to identify its socio-demographic characteristics, and to investigate the differences in variables regarding health beliefs. A survey was conducted of adults 55 years of age and older living in Seoul, South Korea from March 28 to April 10, 2007. Out of the 500 distributed questionnaires, 361 were retained for final analysis: a response rate of 72.2%. As a result of cluster analysis, five consumer segments were identified; health-managing group, diet-unconcerned group, convenience-oriented group, taste-oriented group, unpracticed group. Significant differences were found among the five segments in terms of socio-demographic characteristics and variables regarding health beliefs (i.e., perceived self-efficacy, perceived barriers, perceived benefits). In the health-managing group and taste-oriented group, mean scores of perceived self-efficacy (p<0.001) and perceived benefits (p<0.001) were significantly higher than other groups. However, in the diet-unconcerned group and convenience-oriented group, the mean scores of perceived barriers (p<0.01) were significantly high. This study shows that foodservice operators targeting the older consumers should consider characteristics of each segment to develop a customized program.

  • 모바일 서비스는 공급사슬의 모든 단계와 연관되어 있는데, 특히 재고 주문관리, 주문 충족, 구매, 물류와 모니터링 분야와 밀접히 관련시켜 볼 수 있다. 기본적으로 모바일 서비스의 핵심은 참가자들 간에 정보의 공유로서 이를 통해서 공급사슬의 지각과 반응의 효율을 높일 수 있다. 모바일 서비스의 장점은 편재성(ubiquity), 속도, 추적, 위치확인, 개인화와 안전성에 있다. 공급사슬의 3가지 중요한 요소는 속도, 변화 및 가시성을 들 수 있는데, 모바일 서비스는 이 세가지 분야를 충족시킬 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 모바일 서비스를 이용해서 wireless 공급 웹을 모델링 하고자 한다. 재고관리, 원격 진단, 현장 작업자와의 통신, 추적과 모니터링을 포함한 고객요구 충족, 재고의 가시성, 실시간 shop floor data collection, 자산 추적 및 창고관리분야에 적용가능한 고객중심의 공급 웹을 모델링하고 RFID를 이용해서 창고관리 문제에 대한 프로토타입을 제시하고자 한다.

Geophysical Study on the Ultramafic Rocks of Chungnam Province, Korea: Characteristics of Seismic Velocity (충남지역 초염기성 암체의 지구물리학적 연구: 탄성파 속도 특성)

  • Compressional and shear wave velocities (Vp and Vs) and densities have been measured for serpentinite, amphibolite, amphibole and biotite schist, and gneiss from western part of Chungnam Province at room temperature. Ranges of the density are 2.6${\sim}$2.86g/cm$^3$ for serpentinite, 2.25${\sim}$2.81g/cm$^3$ for talc, and 2.74${\sim}$3.07g/cm$^3$ for metamorphic rocks. Of these rocks, talc shows wider ranges than serpentinite and amphibolites due to its metamorphic process from serpentinite. Values of Vp and Vs are 5719${\sim}$6062m/s and 2898${\sim}$3351m/s for serpentinites, 4019${\sim}$5478m/s and 2241/${\sim}$2976m/s for talc, 5375${\sim}$6372m/s and 3042${\sim}$3625m/s for amphibolite, 5290${\sim}$5499m/s and 2968${\sim}$3137m/s for schist, and 4788m/s and 2804m/s for gneiss, respectively. Velocity of P wave increases 1.47 times faster than S wave with increase of density. The results of seismic velocity measurement show anisotropy, higher velocity across than along the schistocity of rocks, especially in metamorphic rocks. This fact indicates that there were regional metamorphism related with tectonic forces. Values of seismic velocity increase with increasing pressure from 20 MPa to 70 MPa, especially in metamorphic rocks. Overall recalculated Vp and Vs values suggest that the serpentinite indicates for upper mantle in the respects of seismic characteristics, in spite of high degree of serpentinization. In addition, those of the amphibolite do for low crust, and gneiss and schist for upper crust.

  • 색상에 의한 내용기반 이미지 검색 기법에 있어서 조명과 관찰자의 환경과 같은 주변 조건을 반영한 시지각 색상 모형은 사진 이미지 속에 나타나는 반사광과 그림자와 같은 영역의 색상 정보를 알 수 없는 것이라고 간주한다는 단점이 있다. 이 연구에서는 그와 같은 알 수 없는 정보를 빛의 방향에 의해 추정하여 검색 시스템의 효율을 향상시키려 하였으며, 검색 실험 결과 이러한 추정 작업과 검색 효율성 향상 사이에는 유의미한 관계가 존재하고 있는 것으로 결론지을 수 있었다.

인터넷 의류쇼핑몰의 상품정보 제공방법 연구

  • 한국에서의 인터넷 이용자 수는 빠른 속도로 증가하고 있다. 2002년 6월에 발표된 KNP (Korea Netizen Profile)의 자료는 한국의 인터넷 사용자 중 여성은 약 42.9%이고, 20대가 약 43.6%를 차지한다고 보고하였다. 그러나 인터넷 쇼핑 방식에서는 소비자가 직접 실물을 확인하고 구매할 수 없으므로 의류 제품 구매 시 위험을 낮추기 위한 방안이 필요하다. 선행연구는 구매하는 의류의 품목에 따라 구매시 소비자가 지각하는 중요도가 다름을 보여준다. (중략)
