Compensation of Chromatic Dispersion and Self Phase Modulation in Long-haul Optical Transmission System using Mid-span Optical Phase Conjugator (Mid-span Optical Phase Conjugator를 이용한 장거리 광 전송 시스템에서의 색 분산과 자기 위상 변조의 보상에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we investigated the method of compensation for optical pulse shape distortion due to both chromatic dispersion and SPM(self phase modulation) in a single mode fiber We selected MSSI(mid-span spectral inversion) as compensation method using OPC(optical phase conjugator). We used EOP(eye-opening penalty) parameter in order to evaluate the efficiency of waveform distortion compensation. In this paper, we induced optimum pump power level in optical phase conjugator through analytic method of computer simulation. And we investigated input signal power range being able to maintain stable reception performance under the condition of optimum pump power. We verified the possibility of high performance optical transmission system realization through the inducement and application of optimum pump power, input signal power and in-line amplifier spacing, because power control is important in the compensation for optical pulse distortion.

Compensation of the Nonlinearity of the High-Power Amplifiers with Memory Using a Digital Feedforward Scheme (디지털 피드포워드 방식을 이용한 메모리 효과가 있는 전력 증폭기의 비선형성 보상)

  • In this paper, we show the memory effect of the high-power amplifiers for wied-band signals, present a compensation method for the nonlinearity combined with memory effect, and analyze its performance. For the modeling and the compensation of the nonlinear high-power amplifier with memory effect, we investigate the Volterra series model, the Wiener model, and the Hammerstein model. As a compensator scheme, we propose a digital feedforward technique. Compared to analog feed-forward scheme, the proposed scheme has better stability and adaptability to the environmental changes. It has a simpler structure than the conventional digital nonlinear compensation schemes. The result of computer simulations using ADS of the Agilent shows that spectral re-growth is suppressed by more than 20 dB, which amounts to at least 10 dB back-off. Considering the compensation performance, implementation complexity, and convergence rate, we could conclude the Wiener model is most suitable for the proposed scheme.

  • Totem-pole 역률 보상 회로는 스위치 body diode의 reverse-recovery 문제로 인해 전류 불연속 모드 혹은 임계 도통 모드로 동작 시키는 것이 일반적이다. 본 논문에서는 전류 연속 모드로 동작이 가능한 새로운 interleaved totem-pole 역률 보상 회로를 제안한다. 제안하는 interleaved totem-pole 역률 보상 회로는 각 스위치 leg 사이에 보조 인덕터를 연결함으로써 스위칭 시에 body diode에 흐르는 전류를 없애 전류 연속모드로 동작이 가능하다. 또한 보조 인덕터로 인해 스위치의 영 전압 스위칭도 가능하게 된다. 제안하는 interleaved totem-pole 역률 보상 회로는 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • Calculated velocity distribution was used to visual information by image that is obtained from camera. The visual velocity of object that is obtained from this visual information were fused and experimented. That is, need motion of eye that motion of head that happen by external disturbance or move of camera itself to get stable image in environment that receive external disturbance can be compensated. In this treatise, algorithm that control gaze which vision and sense of equilibrium are fused in environment with external disturbance proposed, and thing that compare with that it controls gaze only that control gaze which vision and sense of equilibrium are fused in the experiment result and position deflection is few confirmed. This was because action of camera prop is effect that record conclusion error of the speed because the appearance speed is decreased being compensated by angular velocity sensor.

  • In this paper, we presents automatic Korean continuous speech recognizer which is improved by the speech rate estimation and the compensation methods. Automatic continuous speech recognition is significantly more difficult than isolated word recognition because of coarticulatory effects and variations in speech rate. In order to recognize continuous speech, modeling methods of coarticulatory effects and variations in speech rate are needed. In this paper, the speech rate is measured by change of format, and the compensation is peformed by extracting relatively many feature vectors in fast speech. Coarticulatory effects are modeled by defining 514 Korean diphone set, and ETRI's 445 word DB is used for training speech material. With combining above methods, we implement automatic Korean continuous speech recognizer, which shows improved recognition rate, based on DHMM(Discrete Hidden Markov Model).

  • A quest system is one of the important parts in the MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) contents. Because of its complexity in combining various content components, quest reward design belongs to a complicated work in estimating quest reward levels correctly in the initial development stage. In this paper, we suggest a new quest reward design technique by considering optimal quest play paths. We model a quest reward problem as the TSP (Traveling Salesman Problem) and solve that by adopting genetic algorithms. With our system, game designers easily estimate the optimal quest play path and it can be useful in reducing the trial-errors in the initial quest design process.

  • Inertial navigation system has navigation errors because of the error of inertial measurement unit (IMU) and misalignment over time. In order to solve this problem, aided navigation system is performed using global navigation satellite system (GNSS), speedometer, etc. The inertial navigation system equipped with underwater vehicle mainly uses speedometer and performed aided navigation because satellite signals do not pass through underwater. There are DVL, EM-Log, and RPM in the speedometer, and the sensors are applied according to the system environment. This paper describes velocity aided navigation using RPM of inertial navigation system operating in high speed and deep water environment. In addition, we proposes an algorithm to compensate the limit of RPM with straight direction and the current velocity error. There are results of monte-calo simulation to prove performance of the proposed algorithm.

  • 본 연구는 인코더를 사용한 Flatbed scanner DC 서보 모터시스템의 저속 제어기 설계 기법을 제안한다. 실제 구동되는 저속에서 DC 모터 시스템을 MSR 알고리즘으로 모델링하여 파라미터의 변동과 부하 외란을 추정하고, 속도 제어주기마다 위치 추종명령을 계산하여 실제 위치에 대한 에러를 보상하도록 설계함으로써 저속에서의 속도 추종능력을 향상시킨다.

  • 최근 임베디드 시스템 설계에서 저전력 소모와 SoC가 주된 관심사가 되면서, ARM 프로세서와 AMBA 버스가 각광을 받고 있다. AMBA 버스가 고속 모듈에 대해서는 장점을 지니지만. 저속 모듈과의 인터페이스에는 많은 제약이 따른다. 따라서 속도가 서로 다른 이종 모듈간에 속도 보상을 위한 bridge 가 필요하다. 이러한 용도로 APB bridge가 표준으로 자리 매김하고 있지만, 속도가 고정되어 있기 때문에 융통성이 배제된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단정을 보완하기 위해, 구조가 간단하고 구현이 쉬운 ISA 방식의 bridge를 제안하여, 많은 주변장치들을 손쉽게 AHB Slave로 인터페이스 할 수 있게 만든다.

  • 본 논문은 슬라이딩 모드 제어 기법을 이용한 직류 전동기의 디지탈 속도 제어기에 관한 연구이다. 또한 연속 시스템에 적용하던 슬라이딩 모드 제어기법을 이산 시스템에 사용할 수 있도록 해석하고, 실험하였다. 슬라이딩 모드 제어기에서 발생되는 채터링(CHATTERING) 현상을 감소시키기 위해 스위칭 주파수를 높이고, 샘플링 주기를 최대한 줄였으며 제어기 출력에 필터를 도입하였다. 또한, 스위칭 지연과 외란에 대한 보상도 고려하였으며 슬라이딩 모드 제어기를 마이크로 프로세서로 구성하였다. 전력 소비를 줄이기 위해 LIMITED UNIPOLAR 모드에서 직류 전동기를 구동하였다.
