Study on the Strain-Rate Effect using Elastoplastic-Viscoplastic Constitutive Model. (점탄소성 구성모델을 이용한 변형을 속도의 영향에 관한 연구)

  • 응력-변형률 관계의 모델링에 있어서 creep, stress relaxation, strain rate effect 등의 묘사는 중요한 지반거동중의 하나인 시간 의존적 거동의 simulation은 있어서 대단히 중요한 요소라 할 수 있다. 특히 지반은 변형률 속도에 대하여 때로는 매우 다른 거동 특성을 보이기 때문에 지반의 모델링에 있어서 변형율 속도를 고려한 구성방정식의 제시는 큰 비중을 차지한다 하겠다. 본 연구에서는 변형율에 따라 변화하는 지반의 거동특성을 보다 현실에 가깝게 묘사하기 위한 구성모델을 제시하였다. 이를 위하여 Bounding Surface Model의 점탄소성 부분을 Perzyna(1966)와 Adachi and Oka(1982)의 구성방정식 이론을 이용하여 발전시켰다. 제안된 구성모델은 기존의 모델에 비하여 다양한 변형율 속도에 적용할 수 있는 모델 정수를 비교적 간단히 결정할 수 있다는 장점이 있으며, 변형율 속도의 영향뿐 아니라 creep, stress relaxation등의 현상도 잘 simulation 할 수 있다. 본 모델은 후에 엄격히 실시되는 실내시험을 통하여 검증될 예정이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 HMM 학습모델을 이용하여 1445단어 음성인식기를 구현하고, 대분류기법을 이용하여 그 성능을 향상시키는 방법에 대하여 연구를 수행하였으며, 속도개선에 중점을 두었다. 속도개선을 위해서 HMM모델에 계층적 대분류 기법을 적용시켰다. HMM의 상태수가 많을수록 속도가 저하된다는 점을 고려하여, 적은 상태수의 HMM모델로 후보를 정하고, 가변적으로 해당하는 상태수의 HMM모델로 목적단어를 인식하는 방법을 제안하였다. 후보를 정하는 방법을 후보수와 특징파라미터의 종류와 수를 고려하여 다양하게 설정, 실험하여 가장 이상적인 경우를 찾아내었다.

Text-to-speech with linear spectrogram prediction for quality and speed improvement (음질 및 속도 향상을 위한 선형 스펙트로그램 활용 Text-to-speech)

  • Most neural-network-based speech synthesis models utilize neural vocoders to convert mel-scaled spectrograms into high-quality, human-like voices. However, neural vocoders combined with mel-scaled spectrogram prediction models demand considerable computer memory and time during the training phase and are subject to slow inference speeds in an environment where GPU is not used. This problem does not arise in linear spectrogram prediction models, as they do not use neural vocoders, but these models suffer from low voice quality. As a solution, this paper proposes a Tacotron 2 and Transformer-based linear spectrogram prediction model that produces high-quality speech and does not use neural vocoders. Experiments suggest that this model can serve as the foundation of a high-quality text-to-speech model with fast inference speed.

  • Travel speed is an important parameter for measuring road traffic and incident detection system. In this paper I suggests a model developed for estimating reliable and accurate average roadway link travel speeds using image processing sensor. This method extracts the vehicles from the video image from CCTV, tracks the moving vehicles using deep neural network, and extracts traffic information such as link travel speeds and volume. The algorithm estimates link travel speeds using a robust data-fusion procedure to provide accurate link travel speeds and traffic information to the public. In the field tests, the new model performed better than existing methods.

  • 과거의 연구들은 교통 속도만을 활용하여 교통 속도 예측 문제에 접근했다. 그러나 교통 속도의 비선형성으로 인해 정확한 예측이 어려워, 최근에는 교통 속도에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 외부의 요인을 활용해 정확도를 높인 연구들이 이루어지는 추세이다. 그 중에서도 강수량은 직관적으로 교통 속도와 관련이 있을 것으로 생각되어 자주 사용된다. 다만, 실제로 교통 속도가 강수량에 얼마나 영향을 받는지는 확인되지 않고 대부분의 연구가 적은 양의 데이터로 이루어지기에 강수량이 딥 러닝모델의 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있다고 단언하기는 어렵다. 본 논문은 강수량 데이터가 교통 속도를 변화시키는 양을 정량적으로 측정하고, 딥 러닝 모델의 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 강수량이 높을수록 속도가 크게 감소하고 딥 러닝 모델의 정확도 또한 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • This paper presents the preliminary survey and simulation results of the prediction of Leonid stream's orbital motion. Based on the model survey on eject velocity and perturbation of meteoroid particles, a simulation program was developed and applied to orbital motion of Leonid stream. The Jones ejection distribution model was used to describe the particle's eject velocity and the orbital dynamic model includes perturbations of major planet's gravity. DE405 ephemeris file generated by Solar System Dynamics Group at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in NASA was used for the planet's ephemeris calculations. Solar radiation pressure were also considered in the simulation and 8th order Runge-Kutta algorithm was used a numerical integration method.

  • In this study, for estimating responses of a controlled structure and determining the maximum control force of velocity-dependent damping devices, three estimation models such as Fourier envelope convex model, probability model, and Newmark design spectrum are used. For this purpose, a procedure is proposed for estimating actual velocity using pseudo-velocity and this procedure considers the effects of damping ratio increased by the damping device. Time history results indicate that actual velocity should be used for estimating accurate maximum control force of damping device and Newmark design spectrum modified by the proposed equation gives the best estimation results for over all period structures.

  • A rate-sensitive constitutive model was developed, with some simplifying assumptions, in the frame of the standard elastoplastic-viscous relation. The simulations performed using the model were successful for the normally consolidated cohesive soils with the advantage that the parameter values determined at a rate could be used at. different rates. Details on the parameters and additional modification of the model are presented in the successive paper.

  • In this study, kinetics data was obtained for steam reforming reaction of ethane over the nickel catalyst. The variables of steam reforming reaction were reaction temperature, partial pressure of ethane, and mole ratio of steam and ethane. Parameters for the power rate law kinetic model and the Langmuir-Hinshelwood model were obtained from the kinetic data. Also, sizing of steam reforming reactor was performed by using PRO/II simulator. For the steam reforming reaction of ethane, Langmuir-Hinshelwood model determining the reaction rate by the surface reaction was better suited than a simple power rate law kinetic model. On water-gas-shift reaction, power rate law kinetic model was well fitted to the kinetic data. Reactor size can be calculated for production of hydrogen through PRO/II simulation.

  • In determining a shear wave velocity (Vs) profile model based on field tests for dams, the uncertainties always exist. These uncertainties are caused by spatial variations of material properties in each dam and between dams and should be considered in determining Vs profile model for dams. In this paper, these uncertainties are evaluated and Vs profile model for core zone of fill dam in Korea is proposed using the shear wave velocity profiles determined in seven fill dams. The proposed Vs profile model is compared with Kim's model and Sawada-Takahashi model widely used for evaluation of Vs profile of core zone of fill dam.
