m-MTDATA정공수송층을 가진 유기발광소자에서 엑시플렉스 발광 메커니즘

  • 차세대 디스플레이로 각광 받고 있는 유기발광소자는 다른 디스플레이에 비해서 빠른 응답속도, 넓은 시야각 및 고휘도의 장점을 가지고 있으나 낮은 색순도, 전압에 따른 색 안정성의 변이 및 색조절의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 유기발광소자의 발광층과 낮은 이온화 에너지를 갖는 tris(3-methylphenylphenylamino)triphenylamine (m-MTDATA) 정공수송층 표면에서 엑시플렉스 발광에 의한 적색편이 현상으로 인해 발광색의 순도가 저하하거나 색 조절이 어려운 문제점이 생긴다. 엑시플렉스 발광현상을 조사하기 위해서 정공수송층으로 m-MTDATA를 사용하고 tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alq3)와 2,4-bis(dicyanomethylene)-6-(p-dimethylaminostyryl)-4H-pyran (DCM1)을 발광층으로 사용하여 계면에서 발생되는 엑시플렉스 발광특성에 대해서 관찰 하였다. 낮은 전압에서는 정공수송층과 발광층에서 엑시플렉스 발광에 의한 발광스펙트럼의 적색편이가 나타났으며, 전압이 증가할수록 엑시플렉스에 의한 발광 현상이 감소하면서 색순도가 증진되었다. 유기발광소자에서 색안정성 증진과 관련된 엑시플렉스 발광 메커니즘을 실험 결과를 사용하여 기술할 것이다.

A Simulation of Forcing Function for the Piping Vibration in Petrochemical Plants (석유화학 플랜트에서 배관 가진 함수의 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구)

  • For the simulation of piping vibrations in petrochemical plants, forcing functions mainly depend upon the equipment working mechanism and vibration resources in the piping systems. In general, harmonic function is used to simulate rotary equipment. Mechanical driving frequencies, wave functions, and response spectrum are used to simulate reciprocating compressors, surge vibration of long transfer piping, and seismic/wind vibration, respectively. In this study, the general suggestions for forcing functions were reviewed and proposed the forcing function to simulate the spray injection system inside the pipe in which two different fluids are distributed uniformly. To confirm the results, the scheme was applied for a real piping system. The vibration mode of the real system was consistent with the 4th mode (26.725 Hz) obtained by simulation using the forcing function presented in this study.

Effect of aging on the optoelectronic properties of a single ZnO nanowire (단일 ZnO 나노선의 광전 특성에 대한 에이징 효과)

  • The effect of aging on the optoelectronic properties of a single ZnO nanowire is investigated in this study. The photoluminescence (PL), photocurrent spectrum, current-voltage characteristics, and photoresponse were measured for the as-grown ZnO nanowire and for the same nanowire exposed to air for three months. For the aged nanowire, the broad PL band is weaker, the intensity of the photocurrent is strengthened, and the photoresponse is slower, compared with the as-grown nanowire. It Is suggested in this paper that the observed aging effect on the PL is due to the reduction in the number of oxygen vacancies within the nanowire and that the aging effect on the photocurrent and photoresponse originates from the formation of oxygen vacancies near the surface.

Evaluation of Site-Specific Seismic Amplification Characteristics in Plains of Seoul Metropolitan Area (서울 평야 지역에 대한 부지 고유의 지진 증폭 특성 평가)

  • Total 350 borehole profiles were selected from the database of borehole logs in Seoul, for the site-specific seismic evaluation at two 4km${\times}$4km plain areas. Equivalent-linear site response analyses for the selected 350 sites were conducted based on shear wave velocity (Vs) Profiles, which were determined from the N-Vs correlation established using borehole seismic testing results in the inland areas of Korea. Most sites were categorized as site classes C and D based on the mean Vs to 30 m in depth (Vs30) ranging from 250 to 550 m/s. The she periods of the plains in Seoul ranging between 0.1 and 0.4 sec were significantly lower than those of the western US, from which the site coefficients in Korea were derived. For plains in Seoul, the site coefficients, Fa's and Fv's specified in the Korean seismic design guide, underestimate the ground motion in short-period (0.1-0.5 sec) band and overestimate the ground motion in mid-period (0.4-2.0 sec) band, respectively, because ol the differences in the geotechnical conditions between Seoul and the western US, although the Fa's in several sites overestimate the motion due to the base Isolation effect resulted from the soft layer in soil deposit.

A Dynamic Analysis of PSC Box Bridge Varying Span Lengths for Increased Speeds of KTX (고속철 속도변화에 대한 PSC박스 교량의 경간길이 별 동적해석)

  • A dynamic analysis procedure is developed to provide a better estimation of the dynamic responses of bridge during the passage of high speed railway vehicles. Particularly, a three dimensional numerical model including the structural interaction between high speed vehicles, bridges and railway endures to analyse accurately and evaluate with in-depth parametric studies for dynamic responses of various bridge span lengths running KTX railway locomotive up to increasing maximum speed(450km/h). Three dimensional frame element is used to model the simply supported pre-stressed concrete (PSC) box bridges for four span lengths(40~25m). Track irregularity employed as a stationary random process from the given spectral density functions and irregularities of both sides of the track are assumed to have high correlation. The high-speed railway vehicle (KTX) is used as 38-degree of freedom system. Three displacements (Vertical, lateral, and longitudinal) as well as three rotational components (Pitching, rolling, and yawing) are considered in the 38-degree of freedom model. The dynamic amplification factors are evaluated by the developed procedure under various traveling conditions, such as track irregularity camber, train speed and ballast. The dynamic analysis such as Newmark-${\beta}$ and Runge-Kutta methods which are able to analyse considering the dynamic impact factors are compared and contrasted.

Characteristic of $LiNbO_3$ Domain Inversion and Fabrication of Electrooptic Device Application using Domain Reversal ($LiNbO_3$ 기판의 도메인 반전 특성과 이를 이용한 기능성 광변조기의 제작)

  • The periodic domain-inversion in the selective areas of $Ti:LiNbO_3$ Mach-Zender waveguides was performed and band-pass modulators and single sideband (SSB) modulators were fabricated by using domain-reversal. The domain wall velocity was precisely controlled by real-time analysis of a poling-induced response current under an applied voltage. The domain wall velocity was significantly affected by the crystal orientation of the domain wall propagation which influenced the final domain geometry. In a certain case, the decomposition of $LiNbO_3$ crystal was observed, for example, under the condition of too fast domain wall propagation. The fabricated band-pass modulator with a periodic domain-inversion structure showed the maximum modulation efficiency at 30.3 GHz with 5.1 GHz 3dB-bandwidth, and SSB modulator was measured to show 33 dB USB suppression over LSB at 5.8 GHz RF.

Characteristics of Elastic Wave in Fire damaged High Strength Concrete using Impact-echo Method (충격반향기법을 이용한 화해를 입은 고강도 콘크리트의 탄성파 특성)

  • In this study, the damages of high strength concrete exposed to high temperature have been evaluated by the impact echo method. Elastic wave velocity and dynamic modulus of elasticity were measured by the impact echo method, and the compressive strength and the static modulus of elasticity were measured by the compression testing method after exposure to high temperature. The results showed that elastic wave velocity has a linear correlation with the compressive strength and dynamic modulus of elasticity has a linear correlation with static modulus of elasticity. Based on results, it is concluded that the impact echo method can be effectively applied to evaluate the mechanical properties of fire damaged high strength concrete.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the main program and pre/post processor for the geometric and plastic non-linear analysis of steel jacket structures subjected to wave and earthquake loadings. In this paper, steel jackets are modelled using geometric non-linear space frames and wave loadings re evaluated based on Morrison equation using the linear Airy theory and the fifth Stokes theory. Random wave is generated using JONSWAP spectrum. For earthquake analysis, dynamic analysis is performed using artificial earthquake time history. Also the plastic hinge method is presented for limit analysis of steel jacket. In the companion paper, the pre/post processor is developed and the numerical examples are presented for linear and non-linear dynamic analysis of steel jackets.

혼합된 호스트 발광층을 가진 청색 유기 발광 소자의 발광효율 향상

  • 유기 발광 소자는 낮은 구동전압, 낮은 소비전력, 높은 명암비, 넓은 시야각 및 빠른 응답속도의 장점을 가지고 있기 때문에 전색 디스플레이에서 각광을 받고 있다. 고효율의 청색 유기 발광 소자를 제작하기 위해서 다양한 구조를 제작하고 있지만, 적색 및 녹색 유기 발광 소자에 비해 낮은 효율, 색 순도의 저하 및 짧은 수명으로 인한 문제점을 갖고 있기 때문에 이를 해결하기 위한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 발광층내에 호스트 물질로 1.3-Bis(carbazol-9-yl) benzene (mCP)와 2-t-butyl-9,10-di-2-naphthylanthracene (TBADN)을 혼합하였고, 형광 도펀트인 4,40-Bis[4-(diphenylamino)styryl]biphenyl (BDAVBi) 또는 인광 도펀트인 bis(3,5-difluoro-2-(2-pyridyl) phenyl-(2-carboxypyridyl)iridium III (FIrpic)을 혼합한 발광층을 사용한 유기 발광 소자를 제작하여 전기적인 특성과 발광 효율을 관찰하였다. 유기 발광 소자의 정공 수송층 N,N,'-bis-(1-naphthyl)-N,N'-diphenyl1-1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (NPB)와 정공 저지층 3-Benzidino-6-(4-chlorophenyl) pyridazine (BCP) 사이에 호스트 mCP와 도펀트 TBADN:BDAVBi를 혼합한 발광층의 혼합비율을 최적화 할 때 구동전압이 낮고, 발광효율이 증가됨을 확인하였다. 호스트 mCP에 도펀트를 혼합한 발광층에서는 호스트로 mCP 또는 TBADN만 사용하였을 때보다 전계발광 스펙트럼의 최대치가 청색 영역에서 나타남을 확인하였다. Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) 측정을 통해, 호스트 mCP와 도펀트 TBADN : BDAVBi의 최적화된 혼합비에서 전압의 변동에 따른 CIE 값이 매우 안정적임을 확인하였다.

CdSe/ZnS 양자점과 무기 형광체를 색변환층으로 이용한 백색 유기발광 소자의 특성 연구

  • 유기발광소자는 고휘도, 넓은 시야각, 빠른 응답속도, 높은 색재현성, 좋은 유연성의 소자 특성 때문에 디스플레이 제품에 많이 응용되고 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 최근에 저소비전력, 고휘도, 소형화 및 장수명의 장점을 가진 유기발광소자의 상용화가 진행되면서 차세대 디스플레이소자로서 관심을 끌게 되었다. 최근에는 고효율의 장점을 가지는 무기 형광체와 양자점을 이용한 백색 유기발광 소자에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있으나 색 안정성이 좋지 않은 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 적색 빛을 방출하는 CdSe/ZnS 양자점과 녹색 빛을 방출하는 YAG:Ce3+ 무기 형광체를 포함하는 polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA)를 색변환층으로 이용하여 청색 유기발광소자에 결합한 백색 유기발광소자를 제작하였다. CdSe/ZnS 양자점과 YAG:Ce3+ 무기 형광체의 광흡수대역은 250 nm에서 500 nm이므로 470 nm의 청색 발광소자의 청색 빛을 흡수하여 색변환층에서 재 발광할 때 색 변환 결과를 무기 형광체와 양자점의 여러 가지 혼합 비율에 따라 전계발광 스펙트럼을 통해 관측하였다. 또한, 전압을 12 V 에서 16 V까지 변화하였을 때 색좌표가 (0.32, 0.34)에서 (0.30, 0.33)으로 적은 변화를 보여 높은 색안정성을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이 연구 결과는 양자점과 무기 형광체를 혼합한 색변환층을 이용한 백색 유기발광소자의 색 변환 효율 증가와 색안정성에 대한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있다.
