The aim of this study is to compare and analyze the similarities and differences in traditional perspective about women between Algery and Korea. Through this study, we found out following common denominators: sexual discrimination and denigration of women. Under the patriarchal system in Korea and Algery in the past, women were considered to be inferior to men and treated as men's possessions. The noteworthy feature is the perspective of mother. In both countries, the image of woman as a mother is regarded as the source of life and a central axis leading our society. It is very remarkable that we could find a lot of common ground despite that there are a lot of social, cultural and geometrical differences. Therefore, through this study, it is proved that the proverbs tell us the universality among people in the world regardless of culture and region.

새해가 밝았다. 모든 사람이 어느 자리에 있든지 자신을 돌아볼 줄 아는 사람으로 살았으면 하는 바람이다. 인간으로서 가져야 할 기본적인 도리를 지키지 못하고 살아가는 모습이 많지만 언제까지 위정자들만 탓하며 살아가야 하는가. '윗물이 맑아야 아랫물도 맑다' 라는 속담을 이제는 '윗물이 설사 더럽다해도 아랫물이라도 맑자'로 바꾸면 어떨지 제언하고 싶다.

"봄 부추는 아들 대신 사위에게 준다." 는 속담이 있다. 몸에 좋다면 아들에게 줄 것이지, 왜 사위에게 주는 것일까? 봄 부추는 몸에도 좋지만 남성의 양기(陽氣)를 돋우는데 뛰어난 효능이 있어서 아들에게 주면 며느리가 좋아할 것이니 차라리 사위에게 먹이는 게 낫다는 뜻이 담겨져 있다.

Behavior Economics, a branch of social sciences, which seeks to find the answers about why man sometimes does absurd economy-related things, came into existence through combining economics and psychology. To the contrary of the traditional economics', behavior economics has developed by explaining how man makes economy-related choices by means of applying their own cognitive principles. Individuals lack the information on the goods and services in the market, and don't know how to make best use of the obtained information, failing to achieve maximum utility. Therefore, man's rationality is meant to be confined to bounded rationality. It is the very Heuristic that does work in the process of this simplified decision making process. Heuristic utilizes established empirical notion and specific information, and that's why there can be cognitive biases sometimes leading to inaccurate judgment. As Oral Literature is basically based on heavy guesswork and perceptual biases of general public, it is imperative to contemplate oral literature in the framework of Heuristic of behavior economics. This thesis deals with thinking types and behavioral patterns of the short-piece proverbs, folklore language-game riddles on the basis of personal or public memory. As a result, it is evident that proverbs point out biases arising from human behaviors, while riddles make full or active use of biases.

"호미로 막을 일을 가래로 막는다." 다양한 형태의 사건을 대하다 보면 종종 생각나는 속담이다. 모든 일이 그렇겠지만 시의 적절한 대응은 일을 쉽게 만든다. 시간이 흐를수록 사건을 해결할 단서들은 사라지고 그 해결방법도 줄어든다. 그리고 더 많은 시간이 흐르면 법적으로 청구할 수 있는 권리마저 사라진다. 일상생활에서 흔히 겪을 수 있는 충동구매 사례에서 소비자 보호 방안을 알아본다

11월에는 겨울의 문턱인 입동(立冬)이 들어 있다. 과거 민간에서는 입동을 김장의 기준일로 삼았는데, 입동 전이나 직후에 김장을 해야 김치가 제맛이 난다고 여겨서다. 그래서인지 우리나라에는 '입동이 지나면 김장도 해야 한다'는 속담이 있고, '농가월령가'에는 '시월은 초겨울이라 입동, 소설 절기로다. ${\cdots}$ 무, 배추 캐어 들여 김장을 하오리라'라는 노래 기사가 나온다.

첫아이를 임신하고 출산하고, 태어난 아이와 함께 보내는 첫 1년은 하루가 멀다 하고 궁금증과 고민거리가 생겨난다. 아프리카의 속담 중에는 "아이 하나를 키우기 위해서는 온 부족인의 손길이 필요하다."는 말이 있다고 한다. 그처럼 많은 도움과 경험, 오래된 지혜를 필요로 한다는 것. 지금까지 어렴풋이 짐작해왔지만 정확히는 알지 못했던 것들에 대해 하나하나 파헤쳐보자.

미국 속담에 '트림은 부끄러움을 잉태하고 트림을 죽이면 복통을 잉태한다.'라는 이야기가 있다. 나오는대로 사람들 앞에서 트림을 하면 부끄러워해야 할 실례의 행동이지만 트림을 참으면 복통을 유발할 수도 있다는 말이다. 음식을 바삐 먹거나, 음식을 먹으면서 쉬지 않고 떠드는 경우에는 음식을 삼킬 때 바람을 같이 삼키게 되고 탄산음료나 자극성이 많은 음식을 먹는 경우에도 위장 내부에 공기가 많아지는데, 위장에 있던 공기나 탄산가스가 입을 통하여 배출되는 것이 트림이다.
