Design and Development of a Standard Guidance for Software Requirement Specification (소프트웨어사업 요구사항 명세화 표준지침 개발)

  • Domestic software market is struggling with product's low quality and low return-on-investment. The cause for the problems is due to unclear requirements at the early stage of software project. Studies show that, to lessen the problem, the requirements specification must reflect the right project scope and quantifiable quality goal. To achieve such features, this paper describes a standard guideline for SRS (Software Requirements Specification), which helps in defining the scope of project, measuring and quantifying quality, linking and tracing of requirements, and improving usability. The proposed SRS enables separating the requirements analysis activity from implementation activity and thus can improve subcontract management process in software project.

  • In order to develop high quality software, software metrics have been made to assess the quality of software, and recently, many object-oriented metrics have been suggested for this purpose as well. However, research on the utilization of metrics to control software quality in a development process has been inadequate. This is due to the difficulty in assessing the significance of metrics in a software development process from the perspective of overall software quality. In this paper, we propose a method of applying metrics to a development process using the Hierarchical Software Quality Model(H-SQM) which is defined in terms of the products' special features. The method represents the H-SQM as the cause-and-effect diagram and changes the diagram to the process-analysis diagram. And it applies software quality metrics to each development stage by the process-analysis diagram. In this way, we could utilize the software quality metrics efficiently in order to improve the quality of software in the software development process.

  • 데이터품질관리에 대한 인식과 수요가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 데이터품질관리를 수행하기 위해서는 고려해야 할 사항들이 많아짐에 따라 보다 효과적이고 경제적인 데이터품질관리를 위해 새로운 방안이 모색되고 있다. 데이터품질관리 어플라이언스의 구성은 데이터베이스, 서버, 스토리지, 솔루션으로 이루어져있다. 시스템 구성의 용이성뿐만 아니라 추후 사용자의 관리와 유지보수 체계도 단일화 되어 현재의 시스템보다 사용자의 만족도가 상승할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 효율적인 데이터품질관리를 위한 데이터품질관리 어플라이언스의 구성과 체계에 대해 분석하였다.

  • In today and near future, most of the commercially manufactured IT products will be evolved into software convergence product. Recently, the embedded software products is called as 'Software Convergence Products.' This phenomenon does not simply show the trendy fashion, but has the seriously implication that the functionalities of IT product is accomplished and evolved via software technology, not via mechanical nor electrical means. It will become true that the quality of the convergence product is dominantly governed by the software it uses. Meanwhile, we are facing with the threatening fact that software defects in the mass products will requires tremendous amounts of cost proportional to the quantity of the product. We can remind ourselves of the disasters that have been already happened, such as Automotive recalls, Smart-phone recalls, and others. In software engineering, there have been large amount of work done in software quality improvement for the past couple of decades. Software process improvement, and testings are the representative ones. But we are facing with limitations of those traditional approaches in current convergence industry; exponentially increasing software sizes and rapid changes in software technology. In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of the software convergence industry, the limitations of the traditional Software quality improvement approaches. We suggest a new approaches in software quality improvement in different angles of thought and philosophy.

  • Recently, as the weight of software in the weapon system increases, the quality of the software becomes a very important factor. In order to improve the quality of the weapon system software, DAPA(Defense Acquisition Program Administration) has institutionalized software reliability in Weapon System Software Development and Management Manual. The manual presents specific methods and procedures to improve the weapon system software quality. In order to meet the required reliability test standards specified in the manual, it is necessary to continuously detect and correct defects throughout the entire development period. However, it is difficult to build proper reliability test environment due to the cost of software reliability tools, setting up secured and separated network environment, and etc. Therefore, in this study, we propose an efficient environment construction method for software reliability test of defense industry field in restricted development environment and limited resources.

  • This research provides the solution of defect problem and detection of defect and its causes that happen on software development. For developing a reliable software, a key factor is to find and manage defects that are during software development. Based on defect items analysis, we understand associated relation between defects and design defect opportunity tree. Developing the similar project, we can estimate defect and prepare to solve defect by using defect management opportunity tree.

  • 최근 정보화 사회의 진전과 함께 각계각층에서 컴퓨터의 활용이 크게 늘어나고 있으며 따라서 소프트웨어를 이용하여 각 산업 활동이 신속성, 효율성, 생산성 및 편리성 등의 측면에서 많은 효과를 보게 됨에 따라 소프트웨어의 비중은 날로 높아지고 그 중요성도 새롭게 인식되고 있다. 국내 민간분야에서의 소프트웨어 개발은 다양한 민간규격(ISO/IEC-12207, ISO/IEC-9126 등)을 따라 수행되고 있으며 국방분야에서는 “소프트웨어 개발 프로세스 (방위사업청 지침 2006-9, 2006.1.25)”이 소프트웨어 개발지침으로 최근 채용되어 개발에 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 “소프트웨어 개발 프로세스 (방위사업청 지침 2006-9, 2006.1.25)”의고찰을 통하여 소프트웨어 개발 프로세스의 요구조건을 소개 하였으며, 국방사업에서의 소프트웨어 품질관리 방법에 대하여 살펴보았다.
