  • Ecological characteristics of landlocked and anadromous populations of Hypomesus nipponensis were investigated from December 2008 to April 2009 in the Soyangho (landlocked population) and Hyangho (anadromous population). Morphological differences between the landlocked and anadromous populations were not found. The spawning season was March in the Soyangho and late February in the Hyangho. Individuals of both populations were sexually mature at sizes over 60 mm total length. Gonadosomatic index of the landlocked population (female: 20.5%, male: 3.7%) was higher than in the anadromous population (female: 17.4%, male: 3.3%). Number of eggs in the ovaries was greater in the anadromous Hyangho (7,325) population and fewer in the Soyangho (4,902) population; this corresponded to the greater total length in the former. Condition factor was 0.6 (0.49~0.74) in the Soyangho population and 0.7 (0.47~0.76) in the Hyangho population. Stomach contents of H. nipponensis consisted mainly of zooplankton and aquatic insects, and the size of prey was larger in the Hyangho population than in the Soyangho population.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate secondary school teacher's perceptions and needs of computer and information literacy(CIL) convergence education and to suggest implications for promoting CIL convergence education in the actual school fields. We conducted a survey on teachers perceptions and the needs for CIL convergence education and analysed 227 secondary school teachers responses. As a result, we found that the perception of the necessity of CIL convergence education was very high while understanding level of the CIL convergence education and the actual frequency of teaching experiences were relatively low. In addition, CIL convergence education activities are mainly conducted through Informatics curriculum rather than various subjects. We identified that the main constrains of CIL convergence education were the burden on the progress of subject based curriculum as well as the lacking of teaching and learning equipments including computers. We identified that the needs for empowering teachers professional developments and constructing the physical and institutional environments of school sites were high. In discussion, we suggested the support strategies in terms of teacher professional development, institutional supports, and physical environments.

  • The purpose of this paper is to propose the policy change of teachers education in Korea with an analysis of America statistical literacy education. we found the difference of statistical literacy education between Korea and America with each nation's social and educational environment. We can get the need of new change for statistic teacher's education in Korea. We think of Mathematics teachers should know about the difference between statistics and mathematics at school mathematics. And they should know the new change thinking about teaching method and process assesment methods. Second, Teachers should focused on teaching of problem solving and statistical thinking ability based on data analysis than the teaching of probability and mathematical theory.

  • In the fourth industrial revolution, the government has established a policy to cultivate the creative convergent talent with software literacy in order to cultivate human resources leading the economy. Therefore, software education based on computational thinking is being adopted in liberal arts courses in universities. However it would be damaged the fundamental objectives for increasing computational thinking by a weighted stress of students to learn programming of software education. In this paper, we proposed a teaching method that can improve computing thinking through information literacy education which can be directly applied in practice as a way to reduce the burden on the programming learning of software education. Through this paper, it was found that information literacy education can improve the computing thinking as well as the computing ability by making it possible to construct enough knowledge, analysis and efficient procedures for problems.

  • This study was conducted to examine the correlations between humanistic literacy, empathy ability, and interpersonal relationship, and to identify the influencing factors on interpersonal relationship of nursing students. Data were collected from 177 nursing students from March 4 to 14, 2019. Data were collected through personal interviews using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Humanistic literacy according to the general characteristics showed significant differences in economic level. Interpersonal relationship according to the general characteristics showed significant differences in satisfaction with major. Interpersonal relationship showed significant positive correlations with humanistic literacy and empathy ability. Empathy ability, which accounted for 21% of the variance, were significant predictors influencing interpersonal relationship in nursing students. Strategies for nursing students are needed to increase Empathy ability.

  • This study investigated middle and high school students' perceptions of scientific literacy in the $21^{st}$ century through the survey. Subjects were 952 students from 13 participating schools. 482 middle school students and 470 high school students, 471 male students and 481 female were involved. The survey questionnaire asked which elements they thought would be important to be scientifically literate in the $21^{st}$ century and why they chose the elements. The results showed that most of the students tended to focus on orientation, content knowledge, and mindset. A large portion of female students showed orientation was the most important element. On the other hand, male students showed that scientific knowledge as well as orientation was important.

  • The present study aimed to understand high school students' environmental literacy for water and their attitudes toward environment. This study was conducted during the spring of the 2010 academic year with the participation of 123 students from a public international high school located in Seoul. The Environmental Science Literacy for Water test and the Revised New Ecological Paradigm scale were administered, and the data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and content analysis. The high school students in this study put strong emphasis on encouraging others to conserve water resources. This belief, however, was not aligned with self-recognition of their own roles in water supply shortages and other problematic water-use behavior. They also had difficulties in understanding the invisible part of matter transformations in water systems. Nevertheless, they showed favorable attitudes toward environmental conservation. In conclusion, the researchers suggest recognizing our own water problems and narrowing the gap between environmental and scientific knowledge of water and actual attitudes about the environment through curricular incorporation of interdisciplinary environmental science literacy into school science.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of global science literacy-oriented instruction on students' views of the nature of science. The participants were 65 male students in 8th grade, and they were taught for five weeks about the Unit of "Earth and Star" that was designed based on global science literacy. Survey was conducted to determine the students' views of the nature of science before and after the instruction. Results revealed that it was hard to change students' views of the nature of science during the short period of time; however, in the sociological aspect, the students acquired relatively more improved students' views of the nature of science than the other aspects including philosophical, psychological, and historical aspects.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze university students' views on STS(science-technology-society) literacy. We divided definition and interaction of science, technology and society in the views' category about STS literacy. Research object was three universities' students(engineering department: 119 and social science department: 117) in Seoul and Jeju. Research result was following. First, students from engineering department valued convenience of life in the definition of science and technology. Students from social science department valued explanation of phenomenon and experiment in the definition of science and technology. Second, two groups perceived inter-relationship of science, technology and society. Third, two groups had different opinions about responsibility and ethics of scientific technician and technical use. As a result of this study, students perceived highly about STS literacy. Therefore, the result of this study will provide important implication for establishing and operating subjects about STS literacy in university curriculum.

  • Alcohol affects human body very seriously by causing different types of disease. Therefore, a great deal of studies on alcohol addiction have been conducted. There is little, however, on skin problem in relation to alcohol abuse in domestic researches. This study, with this reason, has been conducted on alco holic women, especially who have sensitive skin, with pruritus. From May 1st until 20th, 2013, surveys using same questionnaires had been carried out for the two different groups. one with 114 female alcoholics from four different clinics for acoholics through the nation, the other with 106 residents without alcoholic problems in Cheong-ju and Seong-nam city. From the comparative study of those surveys, alcohol addicts showed higher scores on pruritus than those without alcoholic problems. In addition, Audit-K score had positive correlation with pruritus score, and drinking cycle and quantity, too, had been found related to pruritus. It is expected that the findings will be used as a fundamental data for treating alcohol addicts with skin disease and leading more active researches on this field for the future.
