  • '95년 하반기부터 시작된 경제위기를 맞이하면서 의류시장의 외형적 규모와 소비자들의 소비심리가 크게 위축되자, 국내 미시존 여성복 브랜드에서는 단품의 강화와 트랜드를 반영한 캐릭터성 보완의 두 가지 측면으로 시장구도를 형성하며 의류시장의 위기를 모면하려 노력한다. 그러나 IMF 이후, 베이직 상품의 판매비중이 늘어나게 되자 정장에 트랜드를 반영하기보다는 단품에 트랜드를 반영하려는 현상이 나타나게 되고, 대다수의 브랜드들이 기획비중을 줄이고 보완반응의 비중을 늘리면서 인기 브랜드의 인기 아이템에 대한 디자인 카피가 늘어나게 되면서, 브랜드의 차별화가 없어지는 공동화 현상이 심각하게 대두되게 되었다.   • Data is the most important asset in the financial sector. On average, 71 percent of financial institutions generate competitive advantage over data analysis. In particular, in the card industry, the card transaction data is widely used in the development of merchant information, economic fluctuations, and information services by analyzing patterns of consumer behavior and preference trends of all customers. However, creation of new value through fusion of data is insufficient. This study introduces the analysis and forecasting of consumption trends of credit card companies which convergently analyzed the social data and the sales data of the company's own. BC Card developed an algorithm for linking card and social data with trend profiling, and developed a visualization system for analysis contents. In order to verify the performance, BC card analyzed the trends related to 'Six Pocket' and conducted th pilot marketing campaign. As a result, they increased marketing multiplier by 40~100%. This study has implications for creating a methodology and case for analyzing the convergence of structured and unstructured data analysis that have been done separately in the past. This will provide useful implications for future trends not only in card industry but also in other industries.

  • A social trend can change market trend because it influences on consumer's lifestyle. Therefore the trend has been considered as an important factor for planning and producing new items. If a new trend occurred, its impact on market needs to be examined. Recently, well-being became top global issue and it caused many changes on packaged food products. This study focuses on measuring the impact of well-being trend on package design. The range of products for this research is limited to packaged food product selling in discount stores because it is main category to show well-being trend. Generally, good package design generates impulsive buying at the point of purchase. Colors on packages are critical point for good product design and they are also reflecting social trend to meet their consumers' psychological desires. After gathering basic information from market research, several colors had been selected and classified. For providing specific evidences result from the trend, the role of four major colors have been compared and analyzed. Finally, questionnaire had been handed out to trendy consumers to reach consensus on well-being color.

  • Distribution channels are changing its industry paradigm from quantitative increase to qualitative improvement. In addition, it incorporates new characteristics and consumption tread of customers and the core value of service is developing focused around on online to offline (O2O) business model of omnichannel. In this respect, companies are integrating various distribution channels and in order to provide high content business service to customers, their interest in finding a new business strategy is increasing. Currently, most of the service being provided to customers are formed based on distribution structure centered around big companies and financial industry and the problems faced by small to medium and micro enterprises, which are expansion and improvement of channels, discovery of new distribution channels and finding O2O marketing strategy, can be said as very important task. Accordingly, this research purports to create added values which can serve as the driving force of growth of "creative economy" by improving distribution channels in which anyone who incorporates needs of smart consumers can enter into the smart commerce market and to further form sustainable win-win market that is strategic through business platforms for small to medium and micro enterprises therefrom.

Consumer Consciousness Toward Well-being Trend and Well-being Behaviors (웰빙트랜드에 대한 소비자의식 및 웰빙행동)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the well-being behaviors and the consciousness toward well-being trend. The well-being behaviors were composed of 4 dimensions such as regular exercise, purchase the organic agricultural products, use of the air cleaner, and diet for health. The consumer consciousness toward well-being trend was composed of 3 factors such as the marketing criticism, the pursuit of mental richness and orientation for rural life. Especially, the differences of well-being behavior and consumer consciousness toward well-being trend according to socio-demographic variables. The main results were as follows: 1. The well-being trend was extended every consumer, but consumers were not after well-being trends or goods. In addition to consumers thought that well-being trend was stoked by marketers. 2. The well-being behaviors and consumer consciousness were statistically different among groups by the socio-demographic variables.

Development of Colored Gemstone Products Through Analysis of Color Preference (색채 선호 분석을 통한 유색보석 제품 개발)

  • This study aims to develop colored gemstone products based on the analysis of color preference. Colored gem stones were classified by their colors using Munsell's ten basic colors and the color preference of women consumers in their twenties was analyzed, in consideration of trend analysis and design image description analysis, which led to the direction of product development. The analysis of color preference seems to suggest that consumers preferred blue quartz, cahnite, spessartite garnet, the colors of which are rather less known to ordinary consumers, to the other more common kinds of gem stones. Through the analysis of the trends and adjectives to describe preferable design images, the current study has made it possible to explore the designs for the future development of colored jewelry products, which would satisfy the consumption value and individual tastes of the consumers. It is expected that the current study may contribute to the jewelry industries and designers as a basic data for developing colored gem stone products.

Changes in Consumption Trends of Men As Conveyed in Advertisements in 'Gentlemen's Quarterly', a Men's Magazine (남성패션지 광고분석을 통해 본 남성의 소비트렌드 변화 - GQ를 중심으로)

  • Male consumers, who had largely been overlooked in comparison to their female counterparts, are recently emerging as a major target of marketing. The five-day workweek system and shifts in the expectation of traditional sex roles have brought about this change. This study examined changes in consumption pattems of men and analyzed relevant trends and meanings. Advertisements were chosen as data for analyses in this study because they are the most fundamental tool to stimulate consumption and also because they are the media that convey the culture of the times in the most compressed form. One thousand four hundred and seven advertisements appeared in the 19 volumes of 'Gentlemen's Quarterly,' a men's magazine, that were published between March 2001 and October 2005. These advertisements were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. From the analyses of this study, six different kinds of trends were found. In each trend, important values sought after by men through consumption, and the meanings of consumption for male consumers were explained.
