Economic Feasibility Analysis of Building Seonam Biogas Combined Heat and Power Plant (서남 바이오가스 열병합발전 시설 건립의 경제적 타당성 분석)

  • Recently, technology for energy recovery from waste has been increasing interest globally including the Korea. In Korea, we have interested in using biogas generated from the sewage treatment process. As one alternative, there are operating biogas combined heat and power plant. The generation amount of the Sewage Sludge are expected to grow in the future. For this reason, total processing cost of Sewage Sludge will increase. To solve this problem, it seems will be invested with the expansion of facilities that use biogas as energy. Therefore, quantitative information on such facilities is required. Thus, this study attempts to economic feasibility analysis for Seonam Biogas Combined Heat and Power Plant. Meanwhile, as the benefit items for economic feasibility analysis consider electricity supply benefit except for heat supply benefit. The average prices of electricity use were residence 123.69, commercial 130.46, and industry 102.59 won per kWh for the year 2015, In addition, the economic benefit are calculated to be residence 310.21, commercial 378.49, and industry 222.87 won per kWh. The results of economic feasibility analysis is NPV 72.18 billion won, B/C 1.90, IRR 37%, shows that economic validity of Seonam Biogas Combined Heat and Power Plant.

  • 본 연구는 방글라데시의 친환경농업 실태와 농업인들의 인식을 바탕으로 친환경농업 개발에 대한 정부의 역할과 정책적 대안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구 자료는 방글라데시 탕가일 지역의 농업인을 대상으로 유기농가 100가구와 일반농가 100가구를 무작위로 추출하여 설문조사를 통하여 수집되었다. 인구 과밀의 방글라데시 정부는 식량안보를 위하여 지력 저하 및 환경악화를 방지하고자 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 즉 지속 가능한 농업개발을 위하여 통합해충관리(IPM), 통합작물 관리(ICM)를 비롯하여 토양의 비옥도 개선, 페로몬트랩이나 자연 천적을 이용한 해충방제 등 다양한 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 농업인들의 의견 조사에 따르면 친환경농업에 대한 정부의 역할은 긍정적으로 평가하고 있으나 정책이나 관련 프로그램은 아직 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 일반농가인 경우 극히 소수 농가만이 친환경농업을 실행하고 있는데, 이는 관련기술에 대한 지식의 부족과 유기농 비료 등의 자재 부족이 친환경농업을 실행하는데 가장 큰 어려움이라 지적하고 있다. 일반농가의 39%는 유기농업 의사를 보이고 있지만 마케팅시설의 부족과 농사 실패에 대한 두려움 등을 유기농으로 전환하지 못하는 주요 이유로 들고 있다. 일반농가의 일부(17%)만이 정부의 농업교육 프로그램임인 통합해충관리(IPM)과정을 이수하고 있다. 정부의 유기농 정책은 거의 전무하며 NGO들의 지원에 의하여 꾸준하게 진행되고 있을 뿐이다. 따라서 농업인들은 통합해충관리(IPM), 유기농 퇴비, 페로몬트랩이나 자연 천적 등 매우 다양한 농민교육프로그램들을 정부 주도적으로 실시하여야 하며 친환경농업정책을 보다 명확하게 규정하기를 요구하고 있다. 비교적 젊고 교육수준이 높은 소규모 농업인들이 유기농에 적극적임을 알 수 있다. 유기농의 평균 농지규모는 0.246ha, 유기농 평균 경력은 7.63년, 일반농가대비 농가수입은 11.4% 높게 나타났고 비교적 소농들이 높은 수익률을 보이고 있다. 소비자의 신뢰, 마케팅시설, 생산자단체나 조직의 부족 등이 유기농가들의 가장 큰 애로점이 되고 있고, 유기농산품의 표준화를 위하여 정부의 인증제도와 인증기관 설립이 필요함을 지적하고 있다. 유기농을 보다 활성화하기 위해서는 정부 주도하에 마케팅을 비롯하여 교육, 수출 및 각종 장려책 등이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

A Study on Community Counter-terrorism (지역사회 대테러활동에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, Horgan(2005)'s argument highlights the centrality to any successful counter-terrorism strategy of understanding the social context in which terrorist ideologies take root. Counter-terrorism refers to the practices, tactics, techniques, and strategies that governments, militaries, police departments and corporations adopt in response to terrorist threats and/or acts, both real and imputed. Pickering et al.(2008) historically explained four counter-terrorism strategies as traditional counter-terrorism model, community intelligence model, belonging model, social cohesion model. It is thus proposed that counter-terrorism strategies are based in established networks within the community and proactively seeks to continually renew these relationships between the community and police. This approach must embrace an explicit recognition of multiculturalism and its political imperative and drive in a policing organization explicitly committed to social cohesion and human rights in both discourse and practice. We, therefore, suggests community tree counter-terrorism approaches, or community intelligence model, belonging model and social cohesion model to apply to counter-terrorism agencies in Korea. These models are on the basis of Pickering et al.'s counter-terrorism models, which by using community policing to boot socially cohesion police are better able to position themselves as mediators to negotiate settlements between the competing demands of different social groups.

A Development of System for Efficient Quantitative Risk Assessment on Natural Gas Supply Facilities (천연가스 공급시설에 대한 효율적 정량적 위험성 평가를 위한 시스템 구축과 적용)

  • While the natural gas supply industry has continuously been growing, its potential hazard has also risen since the natural gas facilities essentially require installations that carry highly flammable and pressurized gas close to the populated areas, posing a serious consequence of significant property damage as well as human casualties in the event of accident. Therefore Quantitative Risk Assessment (QAR) has been recognized as a appropriate method to reduce the risk as far as possible, considering the reality of unachievable zero-risk. However, it is hard to perform effective QRA on hundreds of gas facilities because of insufficient number of expert and long-term analysis. In this paper, we suggest a conceptual QRA system framework to support more efficient risk analysis in gas supply facilities. In this system, the experts make questionnaires and internal calculation formula needed in accident frequency/consequence analysis of the facility through pre-analysis on the point of analysis, called incident point, and general users locate the point on the map and input the value required by the questionnaire to obtain the risk. Ultimately, this is suggested based on the idea that the specialization is available in QRA analysis process and the validity of the system is verified through actual system construction and application.

  • In this research, we analyze about the effect of the traditional market supporting policy about 16 large unit self-governing bodies and effeciency through DEA analysis. The plan for supports of the traditional market were shown. Now, the object of the traditional market supporting policy was any more not improvement of facilities and the thing which is the attraction of customer activity for the sales increase of the traditional market could be confirmed. For the sales increase, supporting of the field like the client information center, source indicator, autonomic packing stand, and the broadcasting facility are effective more. In addition, for the visiting customer inducement activation, we could know that supporting of the field like client information center, broadcasting facility, broadcasting advertisement, and the premium event for gift certificate were required. The method including the customer distribution service operation, which is the various product development and cross sellings and client friendly based on data which it investigates the actual conditions the market merchant on the Incheon area and consumer with the concrete plan for support gift certificate activation, the market information system construction, and etc. was shown.

Study on the High Frequency Heat Treatment Characteristics with the Distance between Coil and SCM440 Parts (고주파 열처리 코일과 피가열물 사이 간극에 따른 SCM440 강의 고주파 열처리 특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigates the high-frequency heat treatment characteristics with the distance between a coil and SCM440 parts for an automobile. Global automobile makers are focusing on research to develop high-performance automobiles with improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions in accordance with consumer demand and environmental policies. However, most research on high-frequency heat treatment has been experimental, and it is very difficult to obtain high-frequency heat treatment conditions for a specific product. Therefore, all the conditions of high-frequency heat treatment except the distance between a coil and SCM440 parts were kept the same. As a result, the optimized distance between the coil and SCM440 parts was observed to be 1-2 mm. When the distance between the coil and SCM440 parts was over 3 mm, the effective case hardness depth and total case hardness depth did not satisfy the standards.

  • One of the recent important issues in IT fields is the convergence. It had been simply focused on functional convergence of technologyies. However the convergence in terms of businesses or services also has been made in recent years. The convergence between broadcasting and telecommunication industries can be possible because the e-transformation of broadcasting industry based on digital technology such as multimedia and multi-channel, can be combined with the high speed telecommunication network. It is giving a birth of various convergence services such as IPTV. IPTV is a kind of new service that is combined with the convergence of network, contents, and device. Nevertheless the controversy about the scope and the value of this new convergence service has constantly been raised; for example, what is the difference between IPTV and Internet TV? or what are the benefits that customers can have? This study measured the expectation level and the cognitive level of users before and after using the service and analyzed the gap between the importance and the satisfaction of the service. From this study, we proposed the priority of each function by analysing Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) method to suggest required functions of IPTV service based on N-Screen technology. This study will identify the gap of awareness level between service providers and end users for the functions of broadcasting and telecommunications convergence service and suggest a solution enhancing user satisfaction.

An analysis on the characteristics of regasification system for LNG-FSRU depending on the changes in performance with vaporization and temperature of the heat source (LNG-FSRU용 재기화 시스템의 열원 온도 및 기화성능의 변동에 따른 시스템 특성분석)

  • In this study, according to increase of thermoelectric power plants that use LNG, LNG-FSRU(Floating-Storage and Regasification Unit) appeared and it is installed on the Topside in order to deliver in a gaseous state to consumers who are in the shore. This study about the study on the characteristics analysis of the system depending on changes in performance with the vaporization and temperature of the heat source. For the characteristics analysis of the system, we devided vaporization method into Ethylene glycol water vaporization method and sea water as a heat source. Then the system that can vaporize 200ton per hour of LNG of $-157.9^{\circ}C$ and 10,400kPa was configured, and according to the temperature of supplied sea water, required minimum flow rate value was calculated. Also in case of using Ethylene glycol Water as a vaporization method, providing for regional and seasonal factors such as decrease of temperature of water. The system is configured by adding a steam boiler of $174.5^{\circ}C$, 775kPa as heat source. The generation amount of the steam required according to the performance of the vaporizer compared to the water temperature changes in the steam boiler and the amount of required evaporative performance due to changes in the quantity of steam and Ethylene glycol Water was confirmed.

Quality Evaluation of Fresh-Cut Products in the Market (시중 판매중인 Fresh-Cut 채소 제품의 품질평가)

  • Most fresh-cut agri-food products are less stable than unprocessed materials from which they are made. The objective of this study was the development of a quality control system for fresh-cut agri-food products. In this study, vitamin C, minerals, residual heavy metals, and pesticides of various fresh-cut agri-food products were analysed. Sensory evaluation revealed that overall acceptability scores were less than expected in most products since fresh-cut products are likely to cause browning and easily lose their freshness. Therefore, the postharvest technologies that can maintain the quality, freshness and appearance must be supplied. Although vitamin C and minerals are main nutrients that can be supplied from salads, the results showed that vitamin C and mineral contents were very small and extremely small compared with the values from the food composition tables. It is possible that vitamin C and most minerals that are easily destroyed were lost through minimal processes like peeling and cutting. In safety side, the remaining heavy metal contents of fresh-cut agri-food were investigated and the results showed that copper and lead existed in some products because only cadmium in agricultural produce is controlled by the minimum standard of heavy metal contents in Korea. No residual pesticides were detected in all products.

A study on Consumer's Needs for Development of Diet Guide Application for Pregnant Women (임신부의 건강식생활 가이드를 위한 애플리케이션 개발 소비자요구도 조사)

  • This study was conducted to assess needs of educational mobile application (App) development for nutritional management and information on pregnant women. A total of 105 pregnant women were investigated on general characteristics, dietary habits, health behavior and needs for contents and composition of the application. The mean age of the subjects was 31.9 years and the mean gestation period was 25.4 weeks. The rate of skipping meal was 39.0% and the rate of irregular meal time was 46.6%. The consciousness of the meal as balanced nutrition and health was 19.9%. Eating out at least forth a week was 35.3%. Obtaining information about pregnancy and childbirth were internet (35.3%), hospital or health center (19.9%), books (17.1%), experience (15.2%), mobile (8.6%) and friends or acquaintances (4.8%). If the application is developed, subject replied 'frequently use' (51.4%), 'when needed' (47.6%) respectively. The favour topic in developing application were 'nutrition information of pregnant and fetal' (36.2%), 'weight management, feeding' (33.3%), 'food choice and cooking' (21.9%), 'shopping' (5.7%), 'example of menu' (1.9%), 'effect of smoking, drinking, exercising' (1.0%). The favorite content was 'include sufficient amount about information' (44.8%). Depending on the age and education level, the best age for pregnancy group have significantly higher ability for utilize and information gathering than old age pregnant group. Also the best age for pregnancy group have high demands of design, convenience and various contents in App development. Therefore, mobile application (App) for pregnant women could be widely used as an effective dietary guide.
