Relationship between Digital Contents Characteristics and Consumer's Usage Behavior in the Online Environment (온라인 환경에서 디지털콘텐츠의 특성과 소비행동의 관계)

  • The recent technology boom has created a new digital age. With the help of information technology consumers can have more power than ever and they use digital contents more than ever. This study relates consumer attitude to the recent digital contents using behavior about digital file-sharing. Through the use of the multimethod approach, we identify four characteristics can affect illegal digital contents using behavior. The methodology used was to take in depth look at the consumer with phenomenology as a qualitative research. We select 6 participants who have experience of digital content using. We also examine the structural configurations of the relationship between digital contents characteristics and illegal downloading intention. We surveyed 200 people who also had experience of digital content. This research gives theoretical and practical implication to the marketers related to online communication.

An analysis of consumption behavior and consumption problem according to the digital convergence (디지털 융복합에 따른 소비행동과 소비문제)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate convergence level of digital device and service and analyze group difference of consumption behavior and problem according to digital convergence level. The research method was survey with digital business expert and 343 samples. ANOVA research method was applied. The results of research are as follows. First, the study suggests that with a self-directed consuming attitude associated with both online and offline, there are the possibility to spread social problem which has unclear boundary, the possibility of intrusion into privacy through the network flow, and the matter of the credibility of information in convergence media. Second, since digital devices are important to connect consumers to the network, consumers have anxious dependence on the devices, which causes the fatigue of information to increase rapidly.

  • 이제까지 부활된 정기시장인 원주시 쌍다리 풍물시장의 현황을 관찰, 면담, 설문지를 통하여 많은 문제점과 나름대로의 대안을 살펴보았다. 여러 가지 문제해결의 요소들이 복잡하게 얽혀 있는 쌍다리 풍물시장의 활성화 방안을 살펴보기에 앞서 풍물시장의 이해 관계자들을 살펴보기로 하자. 쌍다리 풍물시장의 이해관계자는 크게 4가지 부류로 나눌 수 있다. 첫째로, 상설상인들을 들 수 있다. 이들은 거리에서 노점상을 했던 도시빈민들이 대부분이며, 설문지에서 나타나듯이 낮은 학력, 소자본 그리고 노령인구층과 여자의 비율이 높다. 이들은 두 가지에 큰 관심을 가지고 있는데, 매장의 소유권과 5일장이다. 매장의 소유권은 이들에게 있어서 큰 희망이며, 5일 장날의 매상은 평소의 $5{\sim}6$배를 웃돌고 있기 때문이다. 또한 풍물시장 번영회라는 그들의 이익을 대변할 수 있는 단체를 구성하고 있으며 이러한 풍물시장 번영회는 상설상인들의 이익을 도모할 수 있는 여러 노력들을 하고 있다. 둘째로는 이동상인들을 들 수 있다. 이들은 장터를 떠돌아 다니며 상행위를 하는 부류로서 상설상인에 비해 상대적으로 고학력과 장년층이 많다. 이들은 5일장의 성쇄와 깊은 관련이 있으나, 5일장이 열리는 상설시장의 발전에는 아무런 흥미가 없다. 즉, 이동상인이 많이 모여드는 곳은 5일장이 크게 번창하지만, 그곳의 장이 패할 기미가 보이면 미련 없이 떠난다. 따라서 보다 많은 이동상인의 유치는 도시 5일장의 성쇄와 깊은 관련이 있다. 셋째로는 시당국을 들 수 있다. 시당국에 의해서 쌍다리 풍물시장은 노점단속에 반발하는 노점상들에 대응하기 위하여 생겨났으며, 5일장 역시 시당국에 의해서 부활된 것이다. 그러나 단기적인 측면만을 고려한 듯한 인상을 풍기는 쌍다리 풍물시장에 대한 행정은 대단히 아쉬운 부분이며 앞으로도 여러 가지 구조적인 문제점의 해결은 시당국에 달려있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 즉, 풍물시장에 관련된 이해관계자들 중 유일하게 조직과 행정력을 가지고 문제해결을 할 수 있는 주체인 것이다. 넷째로는 풍물시장을 이용하는 소비자를 들 수 있다. 이들은 주로 원주에 살고 있는 사람들이 대다수이며 쌍다리 풍물시장을 이용하는 이유는 저렴한 가격에도 원인이 있지만 민족의 정서가 어려있는 시골장터에 대한 향수 역시 큰 원인으로 꼽을 수 있다. 이러한 점은 소비자 설문에서 구경거리를 위하여 장에 오는 소비자의 비율이 생각 외로 높게 나타남으로써 알 수 있다. 미국을 위시한 선진국들의 시장개방 압력과 우루과이라운드의 등장으로 우리나라는 경제, 사회문화적인 위기에 봉착해 있다. 1960년대 이후 계속되어 온 경제 제일주의 정책으로 우리 민족의 정서와 문화를 보존하는 일에 등한시하여 왔다. 이 때문에 우리 민족 고유의 뿌리를 점차 잃어가고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 도시노점상을 정리하기 위한 목적으로 정부에서 도시 5일장을 개장한 것은 역사의 아이러니라 아니할 수 없다. 이렇게 정부주도로 개장된 5일장이 운영되어 온 지 2년이 되어가고 있다. 개장 초기에는 시에서의 지원도 적극적이고 소비자들의 호응도 좋았으나, 최근에 들어 활성화의 속도가 둔화되면서 도시 5일장의 개념을 재정립할 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 정부의 주도로 시작된 5일장이므로 정부의 적극적인 추진하에 풍물시장 번영회와 활성화 방안을 모색해야 한다. 쌍다리 풍물시장의 5일장을 활성화하기 위하여 도시 5일장의 개념을 ${\ulcorner}$국민들의 생활수준이 향상되고 여가를 즐길 수 있는 여건이 형성되고 있으므로 전통문화(향토문화)를 유지하고 시민들의 정서함양에 기여할 수 있는 여가공간 조성${\lrcorner}$으로 규정해야 한다. 이러한 개념 하에 5일장의 주체를 명확히 하기 위해 시청 지역경제과를 중심으로 지자제의 실시에 발맞춰 지역특색에 맞게 5일장을 활성화하기 위한 전학을 수립해야 한다. 서울대형백화점인 롯데 슈퍼백화점이 송파 큰장터나 그랜드 백화점의 향토물산전의 성공은 도시 5일장의 활성화 가능성을 미루어 짐작할 수 있다.

The differences of Product Attitude and Purchase Intention of Mobile Convergence among Consumers (소비자 유형별 모바일 컨버전스의 제품태도 및 구매의도의 차이)

  • In this study, we present a new product strategy corresponding to the needs of the consumer segment in the mobile convergence industry, which is a field with a very high interest, and the implications are as follows. First, we believe that mobile convergence will lead the market for products that are regarded by consumers as innovative. Second, it can be seen that it is more attractive to consumers to dramatically improve existing functions than to add multiple functions that are not so important. Third, the type of convergence preferred by each type of consumer differs. For consumers who are less innovative, less professional and more technologically fatigued, it was shown that breakthrough improvements in existing technologies lead to better evaluations than adding multiple innovations. In addition, highly innovative consumers are more likely to appreciate the addition of a variety of mediocre features, such as less convergent innovations than the existing ones, as well as mobile convergence. Moreover, there was no significant difference in the product attitudes between the consumers with low technological fatigue and the highly innovate ones.

  • In the process of product design, shaping is the process of making a substantive existence, and ultimately it generates the outcome. The process of shaping is generally led by designer's initiative work, and in this process, various formative elements are used to generate the outcome. In this research, the basic purposes are to figure out the differences of elements which generated by the differences of consumer's and designer's view in the process of shaping of the product, and the characteristics of the affective responses caused by those differences. Also, it will examine how the consumers can directly participate in the process of the shaping of the consumer-participated product, and the feasible guidelines of design in which consumers' needs can be reflected more efficiently to the process of shaping. As a result, consumers and designers have certain degree of difference of view-point about the formative element of the shape. The difference was due to subjective common ideas of design in case of designers, and in case of consumers, it was due to their immature visual understanding. There is another experiment of affective response about the shape of the product. First, I established the sensible image vocabulary based on the shape of the product. And based on the vocabulary, I carried out the same experiments to the consumers and designers.

The Effect of Subject-Classified Consumer Education on Allowance Managing Behavior of Middle School Consumer (주체별 소비자교육이 중학생 소비자의 용돈관리 행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the middle school students' allowance managing behaviors and consumer education by the educational subject in order to explore a desirable direction of consumer education for allowance management. Questionnaire survey was conducted with 468 middle school students in Gyeongnam. The major findings are as follows: First, as for recognition of consumer education, the consumer education from home was the highest, and then the from school and mass media followed in that order. Second, the average score of the students' allowance managing behavior was low. The fulfillment ability was relatively high compared to planning and evaluative ability. Third, as for overall allowance managing behaviors, the more promoted a students' level of consumer education from school and mass media, the more cultivated his/her allowance managing behaviors. As for allowance managing behaviors in accordance with sub-factors, students' planning and fulfillment abilities were more cultivated, the more promoted his/her level of consumer education from school and mass media. Students' evaluative ability was more cultivated, the more promoted his/her level of consumer education from school and mass media. Fourth, there were differences in educational contents the students wanted in accordance with the educational subjects of consumer education. The consumer education can be more practical when it is connected with home, school, and mass media, development of an educational program with such connection is necessary.

  • An overflow of information leads consumers to be easily distracted and to neglect the information being provided to them. E-tailers have to select types of information sources and provide their consumers with the most appropriate information. This study was done to specifically contribute to the research in proposing strategies of providing information of the Internet merchant to the e-shoppers through the analysis of relationships among the online purchase motives of consumers, the use of information sources, and decision making styles. This research categorizes the use of information sources into information sources concerning online stores and information sources concerning products. The uses of information sources relative to online stores are classified into the neutral, human, and marketer-oriented sources. The uses of information sources concerning the products are classified into the online and offline source. This study provides important suggestions for e-tailers to provide information about stores as well as products to the consumers with adaptable strategies.

  • Consumer's value based content and business platform are more important than the existing supplier based market. Convergence civilization paradigm is being accelerated with expanded combination of information & communication technology and others. In this study, it was classified into four groups with respect to the level and viewpoints of innovation in products and services, which were already supplied on the market by industry convergence activity. Barriers that are obstacles to the development of a new converged industry through strategic approaches were identified by surveying the current industrial status. In detail, they were summarized with respect to three aspects, such as, target, infrastructure and main agent of individual sector. Finally, it presents an alternative to overcome the obstacles and develop a new growth engines for the future industrial evolution.

  • In the modem times, consumers are exposed in a plethora of advertisements either consciously or unconsciously. Generally, companies try to make eye-catching advertisements by using highly attractive models (HAM). In the case of apparel, consumers mainly collect information on fashion trends from advertisements they see in magazine, newspaper, catalogue, and television programs which are created by marketers. Therefore, the advertisements which are supplied by marketers affect consumers apparel purchasing behavior. In this study, a structural equation model is developed to examine how consumers determine the match-up suitability between models in the advertisements and the apparel they promote. As a result, we find two dimensions, sensuality and cuteness, in model attractiveness. Empirical results show that each dimension of the attractiveness plays different role in enhancing model-apparel match-up in the advertisements. Several implications of this study are discussed.

A Study on the Utilization of Arbitration in the Change of International E-commerce (국제 전자상거래 변화에 따른 중재활용방안)

  • This study recognizes that consumers are becoming important as a subject of commerce as they change from the existing e-commerce market to the consumer-led e-commerce market, and proposes the use of consumer intervention as a remedy for consumer damage in international e-commerce disputes. In Korea, there is no separate regulation on consumer arbitration, so we will analyze the U.S. arbitration judgment, which is the most active in consumer arbitration, and examine it through the U.S. arbitration judgment so that arbitration can become active as a remedy for consumer disputes in Korea. In summary, in the event of a dispute between consumers and companies through e-commerce, consumers' preference for arbitration was confirmed through repeated collection of opinions without coercion. It is necessary to revitalize arbitration in Korea to protect consumers through arbitration rather than litigation and to resolve disputes through active alternative dispute resolution as a solution to disputes in e-commerce, which is rapidly increasing through U.S. consumer arbitration cases. The topic of the activation of arbitration has been mentioned a lot before, but the preference for arbitration is still lower than that of litigation. However, from now on, as the appearance of existing commerce has changed to consumer-led e-commerce, it has proposed a plan to use arbitration to rescue consumers from damage as consumers as buyers grow in the market.
