Case Study about BX(Brand Experience) Design System Development -Focusing on JUNGGANEGOTGAN Brand- (브랜드 경험(Brand Experience)디자인 시스템 개발사례 연구 -'정가(家)네곳간' 브랜드 개발사례 중심으로-)

  • This study is about brand design system development cases based on BX, focusing on research of JUNGGANEGOTGAN brand conducted from January 2018 to April. BX is a subjective and internal response of consumers arising from design stimulus including brand identity. BX design is brand-related stimulus based on brand experience and BX is generated when stimulant of brand design and consumers' contacting with brand are interacting. The most important thing of BX design system is that BX design system plays a very important role when consumers choose goods or services of some brand at the various touch points of brand in the process that consumers form the certain brand image. This study suggests the final completed brand design draft plan along with brand design system development strategy conducted about JUNGGANEGOTGAN based on BX design. As a result, modeling and associations of JUNGGANEGOTGAN brand experience design seem to be statistically meaningful (F=30.961, p<.001). Preferences of brand design is rated by modeling (=.443, p<.001), associations (=.218, p<.001) in order and it turns out to be affected.

  • It is frequent to develop the fashion product through predict purchasing needs of consumers in Textile and Fashion Industry. If failed in its prediction, that is, if consumers would not purchase the product, there comes some problems that big sale is inevitable or stock increase tremendously. Otherwise, Quick Response System allows that the company observe the consumer's needs consistently and design products and establish manufacture schedule rapidly so that they could prohibit the products unnecessarily stocked. Consumer's preference is collected and analyzed through the data generated by POS system, and this is provided to the related manufacturer through network in realtime, so that the manufactures could merchandise, produce and provide the products according to the consumer's need. Thus, this study developed POS system-education program, that is, the merchandising of apparel product, product by prediction, retailer, purchase behavior, reduction in stock inventory and product lead time, cooperative system between apparel company and retailer, and conformation to the consumer's needs are included in this program, through binding the new technology in textile and fashion industry for the purpose of Quick Response system.

Design Strategies of a Shaver for Men based on Consumers' Sensitive Images of Preference (소비자 선호 감성이미지 기반 남성용면도기 디자인 전략)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the design direction based on consumer sensitivity through the structure between product design preferences - sensitivity image - design elements. For the purpose, we selected men's shaver products for this study subject and collected 164 shavers' pictures released between 2001-2007 years. Then, we carried out a pilot test for collection of sensitivity images about shavers, made a survey using semantic differential method and analyzed the survey. According the result, consumers preferred the sensitivity images "luxury, attractive, stable", design elements satisfied the preference images were "form of body is not a circular arcs or a polygon, material is steel, button is push style, and a color of body is not brown." This study can provide a base of the causal relationship between design preferences - sensitivity image - design elements and a design process to predict consumer sensitivity-oriented design.

Implications to Consumer Preferences on Visual Image Elements of Coffee Houses (커피전문점의 시각이미지요소가 소비자 선호도에 미치는 영향)

  • One of the most important factors for the consumers to select a coffee shop is a visual factor. The analysis results of interior pale face image of the coffee house doesn't show significant differences on all the categories. It is recognized that the items affected by symbolized color are supplies and interior design. If a respondent choose a coffee house by the symbolized color, 'Starbucks' is the most memorable or want to visit place, and only one category, pocket money shows significant difference in choosing coffee houses. The investigation results say that the most memorable or want to visit coffee house by the visual icon color are 'Starbucks', 'Angelinus' and 'Caffebene', and that 'Ediya's icon color marks the characteristics of the shop very well, and 'Hollys' has the most characterful color. Resultingly, visual elements and icon colors of the shop seriously affect consumer's choice in visiting a coffee house. This study is to understand the influence of visual elements in choosing a coffee house for general customers, and it is considered that the importance of visual elements and color marketing must be recognized and developed.
