  • This paper discuss the acupoints and flowing of channel. The Acupoints issued from the Foot Taiyin channel's energy are seventy three. The acupoints issued from the Foot Shaoyang channel's energy are sixty two. The acupoints issued from the Foot Yangming channel's energy are sixty eight. The acupoints issued from the Hand Taiyang channel's energy are thirty six. The acupoints issued from the Hand Yangming channel's energy are twenty two.   • The existing interpretations and translations do not give adequate explanations about hidden meanings of the oriental theory, making it not easy for other researchers not majoring in oriental medicine to understand oriental medical classics. For other researchers who are trying to understand oriental medical classics and perform interdisciplinary co-research, we suggest there should be more detailed explanations about the hidden meaning of oriental theory such as Eumyang(陰陽, Yinyang) theory, Five-phase[五行] theory, Un-gi(運氣) theory. This paper, interpreting and translating the east(東), the west(西), the south(南), the north(北) in "Hwangjenaegyeong Somun(黃帝內經 素問)" focusing on the meaning of each character, will be a good example of such detailed explanation.

  • Influence propagation is an important research issue in social networks. Influence propagation means that the status or the disposition of nodes get changed by new idea, information and gossip propagated by other nodes. Influenced nodes also make other nodes influenced across the network. The influence propagation problem based on 'word of mouth' referral is to find most influential nodes set in networks to maximize influence. In this paper, we study the influence measuring and finding most influential nodes set in Delay-Tolerant Networks. It is difficult to measure exact influential power in Delay-Tolerant networks where network topology is not stable due to the nodal mobility. In this paper, we propose a distributed scheme that each node constructs $k$-clique community structure and estimates local influential power in Delay-Tolerant Networks. Simulation results show that the influential nodes information estimated by proposed scheme is in agreement with a global view of influential nodes information.

Feature-Strengthened Gesture Recognition Model based on Dynamic Time Warping (Dynamic Time Warping 기반의 특징 강조형 제스처 인식 모델)

  • As smart devices get popular, research on gesture recognition using their embedded-accelerometer draw attention. As Dynamic Time Warping(DTW), recently, has been used to perform gesture recognition on data sequence from accelerometer, in this paper we propose Feature-Strengthened Gesture Recognition(FsGr) Model which can improve the recognition success rate when DTW is used. FsGr model defines feature-strengthened parts of data sequences to similar gestures which might produce unsuccessful recognition, and performs additional DTW on them to improve the recognition rate. In training phase, FsGr model identifies sets of similar gestures, and analyze features of gestures per each set. During recognition phase, it makes additional recognition attempt based on the result of feature analysis to improve the recognition success rate, when the result of first recognition attempt belongs to a set of similar gestures. We present the performance result of FsGr model, by experimenting the recognition of lower case alphabets.

A Study on the Theory of Stomach and Lung in Suwen·Kailun (『소문(素問)·해론(欬論)』의 '취어위(聚於胃), 관어폐(關於肺)' 조문(條文)에 대한 고찰(考察))

  • Objectives : The purpose of this paper is to extinguish the debates surrounding the sentences found in Suwen Kailun that deal with flocking to stomach and closure in lung. The paper seeks to do this through studying the assertions of historical doctors and their theories regarding the topic. Methods : The interpretations of annotators regarding these sentences were studied, and text DB was searched to collect and analyze materials related to the theories of the relationship between stomach and lung. Results : The sentences of flocking to stomach and closure in lung, judging from their contexts, seem to be related to the symptom of Sanjiao ke or Liufu ke. However, they may be pointing to internal organs' ke as a whole based on the close relationship between stomach and lung. They could mean either the abnormality of mechanism of stomach and lung could cuase ke or that Zhuoqi could accumulate inside of stomach to cause phlegm-fluids thereby blocking thorax and causing cough. Theory of Warm disease, too, provides a number of treatment suggestions for stomach, lung damages such as supporting Yin and dispersing dampness. Conclusions : The study of the sentences regarding flocking to tomach and closure in lung is expected to not only provide an analysis of the sentences, but also provide a perspective and a method for clinical treatments.

Counting Method and Application of Pulse-taking on both Carotid and Wrist Pulses in Suwen·LiuJieCangXiangLun (『소문(素問)·육절장상론(六節藏象論)』의 인영(人迎)·촌구(寸口) 맥진(脈診)의 셈법과 활용에 대한 연구)

  • Objectives : Clear and detailed analysis on Pulse-taking on both Carotid and Wrist Pulses is an absolute prerequisite if it is to be applied in real practice or its practical value proven. Methods : The original notes found in Suwen and Lingshu, their translations, and conventional studies regarding Suwen LiuJieCangXiangLun's Pulse-taking are compared and analyzed to find cases within medical texts where this method was used and to get an idea of the direction taken by the conventional study. Results : The ilsung, esung, samsung, and sasung of Carotid (or wrist pulses) refers that the pulse is one-, two-, three-, four-fold in differences. Refrainment should be practiced while comparing carotid and wrist pulses. Rather, they need to be compared with their normal states. Used by Luo Tianyi in Ming Dunasty, this method of pulse-taking was used for (radial artery) when diagnosing and treating the degree of seriousness of food injury. The measurement of maximum blood flow velocity using TCD done recently proved the validity of this pulse-taking, and it's been used for alleviating hypertension or tinnitus through acupuncture, or abating intractable diseases (around carotid). Conclusions : The obscurity of the measuring method of this pulse-taking can be resolved, and the problem which occurs while comparing carotid and wrist pulses can be solved. Even though there are differences in opinion regarding the positions when comparing the two pulses, their practical values are acknowledged since their usages in diagnosis, treatments, experiments, and researches have yielded positive results to a degree. They may not be used that often, but they are nonetheless under utilization.

A study on FiveSu-point(五輸穴) in 『Yingshu(靈樞)』, 『Sumun(素問)』 and 『Najing(難經)』 (『영추(靈樞)』, 『소문(素問)』, 『난경(難經)』에 나타난 오수혈(五輸穴)의 개념에 대한 고찰)

  • In $\ulcorner$Yingshu(靈樞)$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$Sumun(素問)$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$Najing(難經)$\lrcorner$, there are differences in viewing FiveSu-point(五輸穴) and its practical application in treatment. The following conclusions are induced from these different point of views. 1. Fundamental features of FiveSu-point are shown in$\ulcorner$Yingshu(靈樞)$\lrcorner$ 2. In $\ulcorner$Internal classic(內經)$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$Najing(難經)$\lrcorner$, it seems attachment that FiveSu-point is identical to the Five Elements, but there are differences in using the Five Elements sangsyang-sangguk in treatment. 3. There are clear differences between $\ulcorner$Internal classic(內經)$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$Najing(難經)$\lrcorner$ in attachment of FiveSu-point and Fourseasons. Differences are shown in each chapter of $\ulcorner$Yingshu(靈樞)$\lrcorner$. 4. Different application of FiveSu-point's various cases is shown in $\ulcorner$Yingshu(靈樞)$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$Sumun(素問)$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$Najing(難經)$\lrcorner$. 5. Different application of FiveSu-point in $\ulcorner$Yingshu(靈樞)$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$Sumun(素問)$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$Najing(難經)$\lrcorner$ is due to different historical background.

  • In Cheon Won Gi Dae Ron(天元紀大論), Cheon(大) means Nature, Won(元) means sources, Gi(紀) is Gang Gi(綱紀) that means rules or regulations, so Cheon Won Gi(天元紀) means sources and rules of change that make Nature phenomenons. This volume treats of cause that weather change of Nature caused by, and its general rules, and presents fundamental notions and systems of measuring of 'Five elements' evolutions and Six kinds of natural factors(五運六氣)'. So named Cheon Won Gi Dae Ron(天元紀大論). This article of the research on the Cheon Won Gi Dae Ron(天元紀大論) can be divided into 3 chapters. Chapter 1 presents a theory that the principle of changes of creations' birth, groth and extinction is complished by sympathizing with Hyeong(形) of Ji(地) and Gi(氣) of Cheon(大) by rules of movement of O Un Yum Yang(五運陰陽). Chapter 2 presents theories that Tae Heo(太虛) makes Won Gi(元氣), and this Won Gi(元氣) makes the change of creations' birth, groth and extinction, and movement of O Un(五運) controls creation of nature. And treats of that 'excessive and short(太過不及)' that is made by a quality of Gi(氣) and ups and dons of Hyeong(形) controls weather of year. In Chapter 3, Cheon O Ji Yuk(天五地六) regard six and five as Yong(用). And A Cycle that movment that sympathizing with O Un(五運) and Yuk Gi(六氣) is Il Gi(一氣) as 30 years, and Il Ju(一周) as 60 years. And presents that O Un(五運) and Yuk Gi(六氣) that Gan Ji(干支) control.

Analysis of words related with medical concept and context of paragraphs in Suwen of Huang Di Nei Jing based on concreteness and ideality (『황제내경(黃帝內經) · 소문(素問)』의 개념어(槪念語)와 논지(論旨) 분석(分析) - 구체성과 관념성을 중심으로 -)

  • Objective : analysis of words related with medical concept and context of paragraphs in Suwen of Huang Di Nei Jing based on concreteness and ideality. Method : First, I extract words having medical concept out of the whole sentence of Huang Di Nei Jing. and classifies them according to the type of medical concept. Second, I classify all sentence of it on the basis of analysing of the words. Result : 1. There are not an interrelationship between the abstract and concrete words from the perspective of cause and effect. Abstract words group are divided into two different parts according to the fundamental character. There are the concept being formed from pure idea and the concept being formed from material idea. The main words composed most important part of the oriental medicine have a combination mode with these two word groups. 2. We have several data about concreteness and ideality of Huang Di Nei Jing. Subjects and contents in provisions are concrete relatively. But the logical basis of sentences is remarkably ideational. Many kinds of abstract words are used dominantly to compose logics of these basis. It confirms that concrete words can not be used to make theories and concepts in Suwen. Conclusion : I analyzed words related with medical concept and context of paragraphs in Suwen of Huang Di Nei Jing based on concreteness and ideality and I found that the concept and logical system of Huang Di Nei Jing in the objective point of view.
