  • 전 세계적으로 인플루엔자에 의해 매년 29~64만의 사망자가 발생하며 사회, 경제적 피해를 일으키고 있다. 기침에 의해 생성된 비말은 인플루엔자의 주요 전파 방법으로, 기침 감지 기술을 통해 확산 방지가 가능하다. 이전의 기침 감지에 대한 연구는 기침 소리와 전통적인 기계학습기법을 사용하였다. 본 논문은 기침 소리와 더불어 기침 시 발생하는 신체의 움직임 정보를 동시에 학습하는 멀티모달 딥러닝 기반의 기침 감지 모델을 제안한다. 도출된 모델과 기존의 모델과의 성능 비교를 통해 제안한 모델이 이전의 기침 감지 모델보다 정확한 기침 인식이 가능함을 보였다. 본 논문이 제안하는 모델은 스마트 워치와 같은 웨어러블 기기에 적용되면 인플루엔자의 확산 방지에 크게 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Noise-Robust Anomaly Detection of Railway Point Machine using Modulation Technique (모듈레이션 기법을 이용한 잡음에 강인한 선로 전환기의 이상 상황 탐지)

  • The railway point machine is an especially important component that changes the traveling direction of a train. Failure of the point machine may cause a serious railway accident. Therefore, early detection of failures is important for the management of railway condition monitoring systems. In this paper, we propose a noise-robust anomaly detection method in railway condition monitoring systems using sound data. First, we extract feature vectors from the spectrogram image of sound signals and convert it into modulation feature to ensure robust performance, and lastly, use the support vector machine (SVM) as an early anomaly detector of railway point machines. By the experimental results, we confirmed that the proposed method could detect the anomaly conditions of railway point machines with acceptable accuracy even under noisy conditions.

A Study on the Sound Amplitude and Decaying Time of the Jing Depending on the Depth of Rim (징악기의 RIM 깊이에 따른 음향 증폭 및 음향 지속 시간에 관한 연구)

  • Jing(gong) is one of the most well known Korean traditional Samulnori instruments to the general public. Samulnori is consisted of four instruments, them being : the jingo the janggu (hour-glass drum). the kkwaenggwari, and the buk(drum). Of the four instruments, the jing with its deep, and yet soft and beautiful long lingering sound embraces the sounds of the other three. The jing is a brassware instrument, a compound of $70{\%}\;copper\;and\;22{\%}\;tin.$\;A high quality brassware is used when the jing is made. The jing is shaped with a 39-40cm circular plate and a rim that gives 7.0-7.5cm of depth to the instrument. Even with its most simple structure, when the circular plate is hit during performance, the rim which supports the circular plate gives resonance to the sound making low-frequency sounds. Therefore the range of the representative frequency of the full rim jing is between $118.4{\~}366.0[Hz],$\;the lingering sound lasts for more than 20 seconds afterwards. When the jing with half of its rim cut off is hit the basic frequency is $139.9{\~}387.5[Hz].$\;And the sound lasted for ten more seconds. The jing of its rimless frequencies are distributed between $990.5{\~}1,372[Hz].$\;And the lingering sound lasts for 5seconds afterwards. Therefore, different thickness and depth of the rim may give new resonance frequencies and alter the longing time of the sound. This thesis paper will try to reveal the relationship between the thickness or depth of the rim (which holds the bending circular plate) and the frequency or the lasting time of the sound.

  • 본 연구는 이상음원(비명, 유리창 파손음, 경적소리 등) 발생 시, 2개의 마이크로폰에 입력되는 사운드에 대하여 음원 방향추적 장치와 연결된 카메라에 음원의 방향 정보를 전송함으로써, 카메라의 View Point를 음원 발생방향으로 이동시켜 사고현장을 더욱 신속하게 대처할 수 있는 시스템에 대한 연구이다. 일반적인 음성을 이용한 감시카메라는 단순히 소리 발생 여부만 감지하지만, 본 시스템은 이상음원 발생 지점으로 카메라의 방향 제어를 가능하게 한다. 이상음원의 검출은 기존에 수집한 DB를 기반으로 비교, 분석 과정을 통하여 이상음원을 분류한다. 음원 발생 방향은 음원 발생 시, 마이크로폰에 도달하는 음원의 시간차에 따른 음파의 위상차를 계산하여 음원 발생 방향을 판단하게 된다.

  • This research began with the intention to create music using the superposition characteristics of quantum computers. Existing music has characteristics that are limited to those composed by composers. However, music using the overlap of quantum computers has musical characteristics that change when executed within a limited range. Using this, you will be able to create music that changes based on specific chords at run time. In this paper, quantum computers and existing computers are connected to generate sound, And it focuses on creating changing sounds by applying the nature of superposition.

Stress Detection of Railway Point Machine Using Sound Analysis (소리 정보를 이용한 철도 선로전환기의 스트레스 탐지)

  • Railway point machines act as actuators that provide different routes to trains by driving switchblades from the current position to the opposite one. Since point failure can significantly affect railway operations with potentially disastrous consequences, early stress detection of point machine is critical for monitoring and managing the condition of rail infrastructure. In this paper, we propose a stress detection method for point machine in railway condition monitoring systems using sound data. The system enables extracting sound feature vector subset from audio data with reduced feature dimensions using feature subset selection, and employs support vector machines (SVMs) for early detection of stress anomalies. Experimental results show that the system enables cost-effective detection of stress using a low-cost microphone, with accuracy exceeding 98%.

  • With the steady growth of the content industry, the need for research that automatically recommending content suitable for individual tastes is increasing. In order to improve the accuracy of automatic content recommendation, it is needed to fuse existing recommendation techniques using users' preference history for contents along with recommendation techniques using content metadata or features extracted from the content itself. In this work, we propose a new graph-based music recommendation method which learns an LSTM-based classification model to automatically extract appropriate tagging words from sound data and apply the extracted tagging words together with the users' preferred music lists and music metadata to graph-based music recommendation. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms existing recommendation methods in terms of the recommendation accuracy.

  • This paper presents a study on acoustic characteristics and sound generation mechanism of Cryptotympana atratas' songs which cause noise problems in summer days. The waveforms & FFT of Cryptotympana atratas' songs in nature were analyzed, and the actions of tymbals were visualized by the high speed camera. In order to know resonance frequency of the abdominal cavity of male Cryptotympana atrata, the sine sweep test was done. It was observed from the experimental results that Cryptotympana atrata's two tymbals act asymmetrically with respect to time & shape, and make a variety of frequencies every time it vibrates. It was also shown that Cryptotympana atratas' have a structure that cause resonances sounds only in a $7{\sim}7.5 kHz$ bandwidth.
