놀라운 중국의 경제 발전 속도는 세계를 놀라게 하고 있다. 해마다 10% 이상의 고속성장에 경기가 너무 가열되어 문제일 만큼 약동적인 경제성장을 하고 있다. 게다가 그간의 로우 테크(low-tech)위주의 성장에서 탈피, 첨단 기술 산업분야로도 큰 발전을 보이고 있는 상황이다. 이대로 가다가는 중국 경제가 언젠가는 세계 최고가 될 것이라는 전망들도 팽배한 지경이다. 중국의 이러한 경제 성장 분위기라면 자판기 산업 역시도 빠르게 성장해야 마땅한 분위기이다. 하지만 유독 중국의 자판기 산업은 맥을 못 추고 있다 할 만큼 성장세가 더디다. 서서히 산업기반이 발전해 가고 있다고는 하지만 타 산업 분야의 성장에 비하면 크게 미흡하다. 흔히들 2008년 올림픽, 2010엑스포를 기점으로 큰 성장을 할 것이라는 장미 및 청사진 가득한 전망을 내놓지만 현재 분위기로서는 힘겨워 보인다. 내수 성장세가 꾸준히 이어지고 않고 단순히 시간이 간다고 해서 비약적인 성장을 한다고 기대하는 것은 무리이다. 이러한 상황을 볼 때 중국의 자판기 산업은 여전히 가능성의 시장에 머물고 있다 할 수 있다. 실체는 별로 없고 장미 및 청사진만 가득한 게 엄연한 중국의 자판기 산업의 현실이다. 지난 5월31일부터 6월2일까지 개최된 제2회 중국 국제 자동판매기&키오스크 쇼는 이러한 중국자판기 산업의 현실을 여실히 느끼게 해 주었다. 어려운 시장 상황 가운데서도 내일의 가능성에 도전하는 관련 참가업체들의 분투 속에서 그나마 희망을 봤다고 할 수 있을까.

몇 년 전, 그가 행정 부지사로 재직할 때 그를 한 번 만난 적이 있었다. 저소득층 주민 암 검진 사업 등 도민 복지 사업 실현에 주도적 역할을 담당했던 김진선 당시 부지사에 대한 느낌은 냉철한 판단과 합리적인 계획을 바탕으로 추진력 있게 일을 한다는 것이었다. 그때나 지금이나 그가 변함없이 들려 준 이야기는 '심지기위의(心之起爲意)'다. 그러니까 마음이 일어나면 뜻이 된다는 말이다. 어디에 있든 만년을 있을 것처럼 일에 전념하고 최선을 다하는 자세야말로 자신과 사회를 건강하게 하는 기본이라고 김진선 강원도지사는 강조한다. 김지사와의 이번 만남에서, 당시의 느낌이 틀리지 않았음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그는 여전히 최선을 다하고 있었다. 당시 도민 5대 암 검진 사업을 실현시킨 것처럼 강원 국제 관광 엑스포를 성공적으로 마무리했고, 다가오는 새 천년 강원도의 힘을 하나로 모아 세계 최고의 '도'로 만들기 위한 아주 구체적인 일들을 추진하고 있었다.

The tourist industry is expecially one of the successful areas for the application of electronic commerce because it is an information-intensive and consumer-oriented industry where information and services play a large part in transaction processes. A electronic tourism market which integrates tourist information systems, reservation systems, and real-time broadcasting systems based on the Internet Web was developed by a collaborative team of Dongguk University and Daou Tech. Inc. with sponsorship of Kyongbuk province and Minister of Information Communications of Korea. Based on the development case of the system, this paper proposes development and operations strategies of electronic market in the tourist industry. The paper reviews the development strategies in the perspective of potential travelers, technology, cooperation among players, and development methodology. The paper also discusses strategies which are able to be employed as the guideline in order to operate the system.

The purpose of this study was to investigate Visitors' satisfaction at Eco-Agriculture/Organic Food Expo held in Uljin in 2005. The questionnaire survey with 1,120 participants was conducted at the venue for three times from July 22nd to August 15th, 2005. The evaluation considered Expo facilities and services, and motives of visit along with demographics of 1,080 valid samples. Evaluation results indicate overall satisfaction level of Expo participation was positive and 63.6% of the respondents showed intention of revisit and/or future visit to agricultural events. Expo facilities and service represented higher satisfaction level, however cost factors such as food and beverage, souvenirs and entrance fee had lower performance levels. The study outcome can help local governments and/or organizers host hallmark tourist events in planning and managing.

GDC(Game Developer Conference) 2004는 지난해와 마찬가지로 미국 서부의 조용한 시골 산호세에서 개최됐다. 세션 참가를 위해 따뜻한 아침했살과 상쾌한 공기를 마시며 GDC에서 제공하는 셔틀버스를 타고 행사장으로 향할때 바깥 풍경을 통해 느낀 점은 간혹 어도비나 썬 마이크로시스템즈 같은 글로벌 기업들의 거대한 건물이 가끔식 눈에 띄긴 했지만, 도시의 전반적인 분위기는 한적한 시골의 분위기를 풍기는 조용한 도시였다. 내년부터 샌프란시스코에서 GDC행사가 진행된다고 하니 한편으로는 이제까지 산호세로의 직항로가 없어 버스나 국내선을 갈아타야 했던 번거러움이 없어져 반갑기도 하지만, 다른 한편으로는 이런 한적하고 조용한 분위기를 느낄 수 없을 것 같아 약간 아쉽기도 하다. 올해는 지난 3월 22일 부터 3월 26일까지의 일정으로 각종 엑스포와 세션들이 산호세 컨벤션 센터를 중심으로 진행됐다. 대부분의 세션들은 컨벤션센터와 주위의 호텔 세미나 룸에서 이뤄졌고 일부 많은 개발자들이 몰릴 것으로 예상됐다. 키노츠(Key notes)부분들은 컨벤션 센터의 맞은편인 시빅오디토리움(Civic Auditorium)에서 진행됐다.

2012년 5월 12일부터 8월 12일까지 전라남도 여수시에서 2012여수세계박람회가 개최되었다. 105개국 및 10개 국제기구가 참가한 이번 대회의 관람객은 820만 명에 이른다. 본 연구는 여수엑스포 준비의 실효성을 평가하였다. 교통 분야를 중심으로 교통대책의 수립과 집행과정에서 나타난 특이사항을 파악하여 향후 우리나라에서 개최되는 대규모 국제행사에 시사점을 주고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 제시된 주요 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대규모 국제행사의 교통대책을 수립할 때는 개최지역의 지리적 특성과 교통수단의 통행저항을 적절하게 반영해야 한다. 둘째, 중앙정부와 지자체의 업무분장을 명확히 하여 이로 인한 갈등과 예산낭비 및 교통대책의 비효율을 예방해야 한다. 셋째, 교통운영의 일관성을 유지하고 교통안내의 효율성을 확보해 관람객의 혼란과 불편을 최소화 시켜야 한다. 넷째, 교통대책의 대외적 객관성과 합리성을 확보해야 하고 이를 토대로 시기적절한 예산조달이 이루어지도록 해야 한다.

The Purpose of this study is to suggest the necessity of linking and coordinating Cultural Tourism Festivals among local governments and to propose a plan for maximizing the effects of these festivals. The 'World Ceramic Exposition 2001 Korea' which took place from August 10th to October 28th was selected as a case study for the linkage plan of Cultural Tourism Festivals among local governments. Data were collected from a random sampling of visitors to 'World Ceramic Exposition 2001 Korea' from 24 to 28 October, 2001. 369 samples from a total 375 respondents were used for the final analysis. The contents of the questionnaire consisted of the cognition and satisfaction about the effects of the festival linkage among local governments and the preference of festival linkage types. The results of the analysis showed that not only festival staff but also visitors recognized the necessity of linking festivals among regions. Both visitors and festival staff had a positive attitude about the effects of the linked festival. In addition, they highly rated the 'World Ceramic Exposition 2001 Korea' as a successful festival. Visitors were satisfied with the festival. Furthermore, the number of visitors was more than staff expected. The organizing committee and staff considered the 'World Ceramic Exposition 2001 Korea' as a successful festival. The successful evaluation of the 'World Ceramic Exposition 2001 Korea' was related to the successful linkage of the festival. This study originated in the increased necessity of linking cultural Tourism Festivals among local governments. Since it is a transcendental study, it is not only significant but also limited. However, in the near future, more varied case studies about the linkages of Festivals will be conducted and these will generalize the results of this study and test the effectiveness of the linkage plans through positive analysis. For the effective linking of festivals among regions, it is necessary to study the definition of factors that affect visitors satisfaction, and determine which methods will improve visitors satisfaction.

현재 중국은 개혁 개방을 통하여 고도 경제성장을 이룩하였으며, 베이징 올림픽과 엑스포 개최, 그리고 G2체제를 통한 세계 초강대국으로 진입하는 등의 성과로 대다수 국민들의 지지를 받고 있지만, 그 이면(裏面)에 많은 난제(難題)들도 있다. 다민족으로 구성된 중국은 분열과 통합의 경험이 있어 다른 어떤 국가보다 분리주의에 민감하게 반응하고 있으며, 실제로 종교 민족문제 등으로 인한 갈등과 분쟁이 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 특히, 중국의 한족과 신장지역 위구르족은 역사 민족적으로 그 기원이 상이하고, 종교 문화적으로 융합하기에 한계가 있어 유혈사태와 테러리즘이 자주 발생하고 있다. 중국정부는 다양한 민족 종교 경제 외교정책을 제시하였지만, 근본적인 문제 해결책을 찾지 못하고 있다. 이로 인하여 중국의 유혈사태와 테러리즘은 지속적으로 발생할 것으로 예측되기 때문에 정치 민족 외교정책 등의 재검토가 필요하가고 본다.
