Despite the growing importance of video-based social media content, such as vlogs, as a marketing tool in the travel industry, there is limited research on the characteristics that enhance engagement among potential travelers. This study explores the influence of emotional valence in YouTube travel content on viewer engagement, specifically likes and comments. We analyzed 4,619 travel-related YouTube videos from eight popular tourist cities. Using negative binomial regression analysis, we found that both positive and negative emotions significantly influence the number of likes received. Videos with higher positive emotions as well as negative emotions receive more likes. However, when it comes to the number of comments, only negative emotions showed a significant positive influence, while positive emotions had no significant impact. These findings offer valuable insights for marketers seeking to optimize engagement strategies on YouTube, considering the unique nature of travel products. Further research into the effects of specific emotions on engagement is warranted to improve marketing strategies. This study highlights the powerful impact of emotions on viewer engagement in the context of social media, particularly on YouTube.
Urban Air Transportation (UAM) is a three-dimensional transport within the city using eVTOL as an alternative to the saturation of land transportation due to overcrowding in major cities around the world. Design has played its roles in various fields in the development of transport, but research on the design application of UAM, which will be commercialized soon, is insufficient. Accordingly, there is a growing need for prior research on the forecasting the future environment and the design application through phenomenon analysis. The purpose of this study is to derive mega trends through STEP analysis for UAM and present ways to apply design in the UAM field based on this. The research method was conducted in the following order. First, the theoretical background of UAM was established by analyzing prior art documents on UAM. Second, five trends in the future environment centered on UAM were derived through STEP analysis. Finally, in order to derive a design application, five experts in each design area (product, visual, video, environment, service) discussed the design application focusing on the results of STEP analysis and derived a design application plan for each design area in the UAM field. Through this study, it was found that the most frequent design area in the STEEP analysis is product design and service design, and therefore related design development is important. After analyzing UAM's information provision plan, display method, and usage process suggested in this study, it is expected that it will lead to various prior design studies related to UAM, such as customized service design, to establish an infrastructure environment for commercialization of UAM.

Therefore, this researcher decides whether to use the local standard time of the country of birth or convert it to the Korean time zone when a foreign-born person writes four weeks, because the position of the sun determines the time and date, so the local standard time It was concluded that it was appropriate to use it, and to support the discussion on the correction of true solar time in Eastern and Western countries, we carefully selected major countries and major cities where the time difference between the currently used national standard time and the true solar time according to the actual longitude line was expected, and the results were presented. was calculated and derived. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the time difference between the national standard time and the true solar time is much greater than the general idea. On the other hand, through the case of actual foreign-born people, it was possible to find out the great influence of summer time on the composition of the sandbar, in addition to the influence of the exact time difference on the birth date and cutting time. Through the results of this study, it is thought that we have laid the systematic foundation of the myo-logical theory on the correction of true solar time in Eastern and Western countries for the simplicity of the four weeks of foreign-born people, and this will serve as an opportunity to reduce confusion about the method of simplifying the four weeks of foreign-born people. Recently, there has been an increasing interest in the migration of young people to local areas. These young people are discovering and reinterpreting local resources to open local businesses while generating new value in local activities and businesses. This study was initiated with the recognition that fundamental solutions are needed for these young people to settle and sustain residence in the local area. Edward Relph stated that 'place' is a fundamental attribute that influences human existence in the world and is the source of stability and identity formation for individuals. This is deeply related to the psychology of young people who have migrated to local areas. These young people accept the unfamiliar 'space' as a 'place' to form stability and personal identity. Therefore, this study utilized PhotoVoice methodology to examine the process and key factors of place identity formation among migrant youths. As a result, the study identified factors that enable young people to settle in local areas and sustain residence while recognizing elements the local government should focus on to support and address the influx of young people. The results of this study can serve as a foundation for addressing the declining population in local areas through the formation of a relationship population and spur the inflow of young people to local cities in the future.

As awareness of the problem of global warming emerges around the world, the role of carbon sinks in settlement is increasingly emphasized to achieve carbon neutrality in urban areas. In order to manage carbon sinks in settlement, it is necessary to identify the current status of carbon sinks. Identifying the status of carbon sinks requires a lot of manpower and time and a corresponding budget. Therefore, in this study, a map predicting the location of trees was created using already established tree location information and Sentinel-2 satellite images targeting Seoul. To this end, after constructing a tree presence/absence dataset, structured data was generated using 16 types of vegetation indices information constructed from satellite images. After learning this by applying the Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) model, a tree prediction map was created. Afterward, the correlation between independent and dependent variables was investigated in model learning using the Shapely value of Shapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP). A comparative analysis was performed between maps produced for local parts of Seoul and sub-categorized land cover maps. In the case of the tree prediction model produced in this study, it was confirmed that even hard-to-detect street trees around the main street were predicted as trees.
The sharing economy service is now spreading in various fields such as accommodation, cars and bicycles. In particular, bicycle-sharing service have become very popular around the world, and since September 2015, Seoul has been providing a bicycle-sharing service called 'Ttareungi'. However, the number of bicycles is unbalanced among rental stations continuously according to the user's bicycle use. In order to solve these problems, we employed social network analysis using Ttareungi data in Seoul, Korea. We analyzed degree centrality, closeness centrality, betweenness centrality and k-core. As a result, the degree centrality was found to be closely linked with bus or subway transfer center. Closeness centrality was found to be in an unbalanced departure and arrival frequency or poor public transport proximity. Betweenness centrality means where the frequency of departure and arrival occurs frequently. Finally, the k-core analysis showed that Mapo-gu was the most important group by time zone. Therefore, the results of this study may contribute to the planning of relocation and additional installation of bike rental station in Seoul.
In modern society, most people of the world are densely populated in cities so that the traffic sound has a very significant meaning. people tend to classify traffic sound as a noise pollution while they are likely to categorize most nature sound as positive. In this paper, we applied various forms of FFT filters into white noise belonged in nature sound to find frequency characteristics of white noise which preferred by people and confirm its correlation with nature sound. In addition, we conducted an analysis through the comparison of various traffic and nature sound waveforms and spectra. As a result of analysis, the traffic sound have characteristics which sound energy had concentrated on specific frequency bandwidth and point of time compared to nature sound. And we confirmed the fact that these characteristics had negative elements to which could affect to people. Lastly, by letting the subjects listen directly to both traffic and nature sound through brainwave experiment using electrode, the study measured the energy distribution of alpha waves and beta waves. As a result of experiments, it has been noted that urban sound created a noticeably larger amount of beta waves than nature sound; on the contrary, nature sound generated positive alpha waves. These results could directly confirm the negative effects of traffic sound and the positive effects of nature sound.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the change of environmental capacity in Yong-in City, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea through calculation of ecological footprint indices and analysis of their changes, and to suggest implications for urban development and planning. In this study, we analyzed ecological footprints of 1993, 2003, and 2013 to understand the patterns of land use changes and development in Yong-in City. We also compared the GIS land cover maps and ecological footprint indices to figure out land cover changes associated with resource consumption in Yong-in City. As a result, we found the following three lessons. First, the ecological footprint indices of Yong-in City are 3.20(gha) in 1993, 6.50(gha) in 2003, and 11.15(gha) in 2013. This implies that the ecological footprint of Yong-in City is much larger than 1.80(gha), the globally required ecological footprint per capita and 3.56(gha), the average ecological footprint of South Korea. Second, the forest ecological footprint of Yong-in City was calculated as the largest, followed by the ecological footprints of energy, food, and built environment. In particular, the forest ecological footprint was the most rapidly increased from 0.002(gha) in 1993 to 7.32(gha) in 2013, followed by energy ecological footprint from 0.87(gha) to 2.38(gha). This implies that the provision and consumption of timber are seriously unbalanced, and energy consumption is unsustainable because of the rapid increase of residential and commercial land development in the city. Third, our analysis of the rapid increase of forest ecological footprint indicates that the disturbed forest areas are concentrated in the increased built environment areas. We also observed that the increase of energy ecological footprint indices was caused largely by the increase of the commercial and road areas. This implies that Yong-in City should minimize forest disturbance and expand green areas for future in the city. In addition, this may provide a reasonable ground that the city should reduce the use of fossil fuels and facilitate the use of renewable energy.

The greenhouse gas emission caused by rapid economic growth and population is increasing in Korea. Also, climate change from greenhouse gases emission is accelerated. IPCC(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) report projects an increase of greenhouse gas emissions by 90% from the year 2000 to 2030(SRES, 2000). Within this context, establishing countermeasures on climate adaptation and mitigation is becoming increasingly important to reduce the negative effect of climate change at a global level. Along with global efforts to tackle climate change, Korean government has incorporated 'Low Carbon Green Growth'strategies into its national policy agenda. Local governments have also conducted a number of studies to devise plans for environmentally friendly and sustainable city development. In this paper, the land-use equilibrium model, which reflects economic and geographical characteristics, is used to analyze the change in residential land use and population density. The target area for study is Jeju island in Korea. With an application of land use equilibrium model, it derived three types of scenarios of the land use change: (1) dispersion scenario-reflecting present-day conditions (2) adaptation scenario-applying adaptation measures to climate change and (3) combined scenario-integrating both adaptation and mitigation measures in model to climate change. By applying dispersion to combined scenario, the general trend shows a downward shift in population density. Subsequently, energy consumption and expected cost associated with casualties were calculated on the basis of the findings of respective scenario. The results show a descending trend in energy consumption and expected casualtie. Therefore, understanding for residential land use and population density of each scenario that analyzed land use equilibrium model in the study is expected to devise a environmental city plan for climate change stabilization and climate adaptation and mitigation.
To estimate the prevalence of hypertension among the aged in urban area, the blood pressure was examined on the subjects of 565 men and 762 women of 65 years old and older among the residents of Nam-Ku and Soosung-Ku in Taegu between January and December, 1986. The mean systolic blood pressure was $136.0{\pm}25.01mmHg$ in male and $133.0{\pm}24.56mmHg$ in female. The mean diastolic blood pressure was $83.7{\pm}14.41mmHg$ in male and $82.4{\pm}14.43mmHg$ in female. There was no significant differences between male and female in both mean systolic and diastolic blood pressure. According to WHO category, the prevalence of pure systolic hypertension (${\geq}$160/<95mmHg) was 7.8% in male and 6.8% in female. The prevalence of pure diastolic hypertension(<160/${\geq}$95mmHg) was 6.0% in male and 3.9% in female. The prevalence of both systolic and diastolic hypertension (${\geq}160/{\geq}95mmHg$) was 13.5% in male and 12.9% in female. According to joint National Committee category, the percentage of normal blood pressure (/<90mmHg) was 46.7% in male and 50.8% in female. The prevalence of mild hypertension (/90=104mmHg) was 34.5% in male and 34.6% in female. The prevalance of moderate hypertension (/105=144mmHg) was 5.1% in male and 2.5% in female. The prevalence of severe hypertension (/${\geq}$115mmHg) was 2.3% in male and 3.0% in female. The prevalence of borderline isolated systolic hypertension (140-159/<90mmHg) was 9.0% in male and 6.6% in female. The prevalence of isolated systolic hypertension (${\geq}$160/<90mmHg) was 2.3% in male and 2.5% in female.
