The Effect of Copper, Selenium and Vitamin E on the IgG Level and Growth Rate of Broiler Chicks (Copper, Selenium과 Vitamin E의 첨가 급여가 육용계의 IgG수준과 성장율에 미치는 효과)

  • The experiment was conducted to compare the effects of supplements of copper, vitamin I and selenium on growth and immune responses of broiler chicks fed cornsoy diets. The basal diet contained 21% crude protein, 2,800 kcal ME, 10 mg Vitamin E, 10 mg copper and 0.1 mg selenium per kg diet. Additions of the basal diet were copper (150mg and 250 mg/kg) or combination of vitamin I(200 mg/kg) and selenium(2 mg/kg). Serum immunoglobulin G(IgG) concentrations and body weight gain were determined weekly from hatching to 7 weeks of age. Additions of copper(150mg, 250mg) to the basal diet were showed, at the four weeks of age, 4.8% and 4.5% higher in body weight gain than that of control group, respectively. The active immune system of copper and (Vit. E+Se) treated groups developed one week earlier than control group(basal diet). Negative correlation between IgG concentration and body weight gain was showed at the period from hatching to three weeks of age and, thereafter, positive correlation were identified (p<0.01). Mortality rates were observed lower in all treated groups than that of control. In conclusion, the lower the levels of serum IgG, at the first two weeks of age, the lower in disease Infection and the higher in body weight gain.

  • 본 연구는 인터넷의 진화 및 이미징 디바이스 전반의 발달에 따른 디지털 카메라의 진화 전략을 다룬 논문이다. 오늘날의 카메라 기술은 하루가 다르게 발전해 나가고 있다. 수동 필름 카메라에서부터 최첨단 하이브리드(hybrid) 카메라에 이르기 까지 카메라는 끊임없이 진화해 왔으며 사용자 계층 역시 다양해지고 있다. 디지털이 적용된 디지털 카메라의 경우, 웹의 발전과 더불어 활용도가 다양해 짐에 따라서 기존에는 전문가와 비전문가 계층으로 명확하게 나뉘던 사용자 계층도 그 경계가 모호해졌으며 사용자의 수 역시 비약적으로 증가하였다. 수많은 사업자들이 디지털 카메라 시장에 진출함에 따라, 높은 성장세가 지속되던 컴팩트 카메라 (compact camera)시장은 과포화기에 접어들어 성장성이 점차 감소하는 추세에 있으며, 전문가의 영역으로 여겨졌던 DSLR 시장 역시 선발업체의 높은 진입장벽과 이를 극복하기 위한 후발업체의 지속적인 도전으로 인해 경쟁은 치열하고 이익은 내기 어려운 레드 오션(red ocean)이 되었다. 이러한 상황 속에서 디지털 카메라가 활용될 수 있는 대표적 매체인 웹 역시 '웹 2.0' 이라는 용어가 생길 정도로 발전했다. 웹2.0시대가 본격화되어 서로 다른 사용자들이 자유롭게 컨텐츠를 공유하고 누구든지 쉽게 정보의 생산에 동참할 수 있게 됨으로써 기존의 웹에서 일어나지 않았던 다양한 변화들이 생겨나게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 변화의 특징들을 살펴보기 위해 웹 2.0 시대의 대표적인 컨텐츠 공유 커뮤니티로 자리매김한 야후(Yahoo)사(社) 플리커(Flickr)의 사례를 통해 디지털 카메라 사용자들의 디지털 카메라 사용패턴을 살펴보고 이를 통해 디지털 카메라의 진화를 설명하고자 한다. 인터넷이 발전하며 디지털 카메라와 관련 되어 나타난 대표적인 변화는 일반 소비자가 진화하는 점 이라고 볼 수 있다. 컨텐츠의 공유가 자유로운 웹 플랫폼의 등장, 카메라 기술이 결합된 소형 디지털 단말기의 발전 등으로 인해 비전문가 영역에 속해있던 일반 소비자 계층에 Flickr와 같은 웹 커뮤니티에서의 활동을 통해 준전문가 계층으로 진입하려는 욕구가 생기게 되었는데, 이렇게 형성된 욕구에 따라 디지털 카메라 시장 역시 새로운 수요를 만나게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 경쟁이 치열한 시장 상황 속에서 디지털 카메라의 향후 발전 방향을 알아보기 위해 우선 디지털 카메라 기능을 나누어 본 후, 이미징 디바이스 시장과 웹의 발전 형태에 대해 분석해보았다. 이어 본 연구에서는 분류된 디지털 카메라의 기능을 바탕으로 웹 2.0 시대에 시장을 주도할 수 있는 디지털 카메라의 변화방향에 대해서 알아보았다. 본 연구는 감성적 및 이성적 측면에서 디지털 카메라의 향후 전개방향을 살펴보았다는 점에서 이론적 실무적 함의를 가지는 논문이라고 사료된다.

Influences of Nutrient Deficiency on the Phytoplankton Community in Pal'tang Reservoir (몇가지 영양염 결핍이 팔당댐의 식물플랑크톤군집에 미치는 영향)

  • To understand the effect of nutrient deficiency on the plankton community in three stations with different water qualities in Pal'tang Reservoir, Korea, phytoplanktons(> 10 ${\mu}m$) were cultured in nutrient enrichment Allen's media (AM) and nutrient-deficient Allen's media. A distinct shift in the species composition and biomass of phytoplankton (as chlorophyll- a) showed in all treatments. In particular, it was very interesting that the new development of cyanobacterium Microcystis aeruginosa occurred by the Fe-deficient AM. Except for Si, a community growth (as chlorophyll- a) was inhibited in all nutrient deficient treatments. Species diversity after nutrient deficiency was changed to below 2.0; slightly increased in N and P-deficiency, while decreased in Si and Fe, respectively. As suggested, dominance was entirely opposite to diversity. Therefore, the nutrient deficient effectively induced the succession of species and biomass, phytoplankton community, suggesting a possibility as a reliable tool to control the algal bloom in eutrophic lakes and reservoirs.

Survey on Kimchi Intake Patterns and Attitudes towards Development of Functional Kimchi among Middle and High School Students in Busan Area (부산지역 중·고등학생의 김치 섭취 실태 및 기능성 김치 개발에 관한 태도 조사)

  • The intake patterns and attitudes towards development of functional kimchi among middle and high school students in Busan area were studied. Nine hundred respondents, consisting of middle and high school students, were surveyed. A total of 833 completed copies of the questionnaire were used in this research. Respondents preferred kimchi due to its 'ot taste' (49.2%) and 'alty taste' (17.9%), but they did not like kimchi due to its 'our taste' (33.8%) and 'eotgal taste' (22.9%). Most students (64.3%) consumed kimchi at home, 68.1% of students ate kimchi more than twice a day, and 27.4% of students consumed 3~4 pieces (size of a piece: $3{\timess}4cm$) of kimchi per meal. Students showed a strong desire to develop kimchi with a good taste at school food services (65.1%). They also showed intentions to increase intake of kimchi if 'aste of kimchi' (80.6%), and 'ealth functionality of kimchi' (65.2%) are strengthened. Students wanted kimchi to contain the following fruits: pears (41.3%), apples (24.6%) and pineapples (10.3%). Finally, students showed a desire to develop kimchi that helps growth and development (59.5%), weight loss (40.4%), and learning ability improvement (32.8%). This study concludes that it is necessary to increase kimchi intake in school foodservices by developing new kimchi recipes that meet students' desires and by educating students about the health benefits of kimchi.

Regulation of Skeletal Muscle Differentiation by Akt (Akt에 의한 근육세포의 분화 조절)

  • Akt plays an important role in a variety of cellular physiologies such as growth, proliferation, and differentiation. In skeletal muscle, Akt has been implicated in regulating regeneration, hypertrophy, and atrophy. In this study, the role of Akt has been examined during skeletal muscle differentiation. Culturing C2C12 myoblasts under low serum (1% horse serum) and high density converted cell morphology from a round shape to an elongated and multi-nucleated shape. Morphological changes were initiated from day 2 of differentiation. In addition, the expression of both myogenin G and myogenin D was elevated from day 2 of differentiation. Skeletal muscle differentiation was abolished by silencing Akt1 or Akt2, but was significantly enhanced by the over-expression of either Akt1 or Akt2. The activation of Akt was observed from day 2 of differentiation and disappeared after day 7. The expression of kruppel-like factor 4 was observed from day 6 of differentiation. Moreover, this expression was blocked in cells silencing either Akt1 or Akt2. In addition, the promoter activity of kruppel-like factor 4 was significantly reduced in cells silencing Akt1 or Akt2. These results suggest that Akt regulates skeletal muscle differentiation through the regulation of kruppel-like factor 4 expression.

RF Magnetron Sputtering 및 Evaporation을 이용하여 증착한 CdTe 박막의 물성평가

  • 최근 의료산업에서는 고해상도 및 동영상 구현이 가능한 직접 방식의 X-선 검측센서에서 X-ray 흡수효율이 좋은 반도체 센서(CdTe, CdZnTe 등)와 성숙된 기술, 집적효율이 뛰어난 CMOS 공정을 이용한 제품을 출시하여 대면적화 및 고집적화가 가능하게 되어 응용분야가 점차 확대되고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 이 역시 고 성능의 X-선 동영상 구현을 위해서는 고 해상도 문제, 검출효율 문제, 대면적화의 어려움이 있다. 기존의 X-선 광 도전층의 증착은 증착 속도와 박막 품질에서 우수한 Evaporation 법이 사용되고 있다. 한편, 대면적에 균일한 박막형성이 가능하기 때문에 양산성에서 우월성을 가지는 sputtering법의 경우, 밀도가 높은 소결체 타겟의 제조가 힘들뿐만 아니라 증착 속도가 낮아 장시간 증착 시 낮은 소결밀도로 인한 타겟 Particle 영향으로 인해서 대 면적에 고품질의 박막을 형성하기가 어렵다. 하지만 최근 소결체 타겟 제조기술 발달과 함께, 대면적화와 장시간 증착에 대한 어려움이 해결되고 있어 sputtering 법을 이용한 고품질 박막 제조 기술의 연구가 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 $50{\times}50$ mm 크기의 non-alkali 유리기판(Corning E2000) 위에 Evaporation과 RF magnetron sputtering을 사용하여 다양한 기판온도 (RT, 100, 200, 300, $350^{\circ}C$)에서 $1{\mu}m$의 두께로 CdTe 박막을 증착하였다. RF magnetron sputtering의 경우 CdTe 단일 타겟(50:50 at%)을 사용하였으며 Base pressure는 약 $5{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr 이하까지 배기하였고, Working pressure는 약 $7.5{\times}10^{-3}$ Torr에서 증착하였다. 시편과 기판 사이의 거리는 70 mm이며 RF 파워는 150 W로 유지하였다. CdTe 박막의 미세구조는 X-ray diffraction (XRD, BRUKER GADDS) 및 Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM, Hitachi)를 사용하여 측정하였다. 또한, 조건별 박막의 조성은 Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS, Horiba, 7395-H)을 사용하여 평가하였다. X-선 동영상 장치의 구현을 위해서는 CdTe 다결정 박막의 높은 흡수효율, 전하수집효율 및 SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) 등의 물성이 요구된다. 이러한 물성을 나타내기 위해서는 CdTe 박막의 높은 결정성이 중요하다. Evaporation과 RF magnetron sputtering로 제작된 CdTe 박막은 공정 온도가 증가함에 따라 기판상에 도달하는 스퍼터 원자의 에너지 증가로 인해서 결정립이 성장한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 CdTe 박막이 직접변환방식 고감도 X-ray 검출기 광도 전층 역할을 수행할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Study on the Establishment of Cybercrime Business Model(CBM) through a Systematic Literature Review (체계적 문헌 연구를 통한 사이버범죄 비즈니스 모델(CBM) 구축)

  • Technological innovations and fast-growing new internet businesses are changing the paradigm of traditional business management, having various impacts on society. The development of internet technology is also increasing the adverse effects on technological innovation, and in particular, cybercrime related to computers continues to increase with each technological innovation. The purpose of this study is to construct a cybercrime business model (CBM) by using the business model canvas (BMC) theory for cybercrime in order to reduce cybercrime, and this model is applied and analyzed based on types of Korean cybercrimes. For this study, a systematic literature review was conducted to determine the components of cybercrime, and 60 relevant documents were classified through a keyword-based literature search. Besides, qualitative research in the classified literature has led to the derivation of cybercrime into 18 sub-blocks and nine building blocks. This study applies BMC theory to this derivation of cybercrime and builds the CBM through proper redefinition. Lastly, the developed CBM could be applied to cybercrime in Korea to help cyber incident-response staff understand cybercrimes analytically. This study contributes to the development of a new analysis framework that can reduce cybercrime.

  • De Grouchy syndrome or Distal 18q- is a genetic condition caused by a deletion of genetic material within chromosome 18, and the deletion involves the distal section of 18q. It causes a wide range of medical and developmental concerns. Congenital orthopedic anomalies, cleft lip and palate are relatively common. People with distal 18q- are often small for their age. Most individuals with distal 18q- fall in the mild to moderate range of intellectual disability. Strabismus and nystagmus, changes in the optic nerve as well as colobomas are also fairly common. People with distal 18q- frequently have conductive and/or sensorineural hearing loss. At present, treatment for distal 18q- is only symptomatic. This article presents a case report: Caries treatment of a 4-year-old female patient with de Grouchy syndrome under general anesthesia. The special considerations of dental care, especially caries treatment for the patient with de Grouchy syndrome are discussed.

Monitoring the Development Process of Edge Vegetation Structure in Deciduous Broad-leaved Forest( II ) -Focused on the Case Study from the Baekwoonsan Research Forest, Seoul National University- (낙엽 활엽수림 대 주연부식생구조 발달과정 모니 터 링(II) -서울대학교 백운산연습림지역을 중심으로-)

  • The objective of this study was to monitor the edge vegetation development process after timber harvesting at deciduous hardwood forest in Seoul National University Research Forest of Baekwoonsan (Mt), Korea The results from the 4th (2001) and 5th (2003) survey for edge vegetation development process after timber harvesting are summarized as follows. The competitive species at the harvested forest edge are Lindera erythrocarpa, Weigela subsessilis, Lespedeza maximowiczii, Lindera obtusiioba, Arajia eiata. There were Lindera erythrocarpa, Ivelgela subsessilis, Staphyiea bumaida as competitive species at harvested forest border between harvested forest edge and harvested interior. And at the forest interior, the competitive species were Lindera erythrocarpa, Lindera obtusiloba. There were differences in the competitive species at the forest edge due to the differences in direction, altitude, and existing dominant species. But Lindera erythrocarpa, Weigela subsessilis were appeared to be a competitive specieg at the southwestern slope (A site) and northeastern slope (B site). After timber harvesting, Sasa borealisshowed a good growth in early days, but showed a tendency of declining with the developing of canopy layer And coverage was generally higher at the Northeastern slope (Site B) than southwestern slop (Site A). The similarity index was lower as the distance from the forest edge becomes farther.

Male Parental Care, Egg and Larval Development of the Smoky Damselfish, Chromis fumea (Pisces: Pomacentridae) (연무자리돔, Chromis fumea (Pisces: Pomacentridae)의 산란보호, 난발생 및 자어의 형태발달)

  • Parental care of eggs of Chromis fumea (Tanaka) was observed by Skin Scuba gear in August 1995 off Cheju Island. The eggs and larval development were observed in the laboratory at Pukyong National University, Pusan. Eggs were deposited on a flat surface of hard substratum and formed a plain sheet of one layer of eggs. Males showed parental care of the eggs by hovering over the nest and attacking other fishes that approached the nest. The spawned eggs were transparent, elliptical in shape and measured 0.73~0.88 mm in long axis and 0.50~0.56 mm in short axis. An analysis by T-test of the long axis of the egg with time showed a significant difference (p<0.01). However, there was no significant difference in short axis with time. Eggs were reared at water temperatures of $23.0{\sim}25.5^{\circ}C$ and took about 4~5 days from embryonic body stage to hatching. The newly hatched larvae were 1.10~1.61 mm in notochord length (NL) had 21 myomeres, has closed mouth but open anus, preanus length was 45.8% of NL. Melanophores were distributed on the occipital region of head, the eye, the peritoneal region, and along the ventral contour. The larvae absorbed the yolk material and oil globule in 3~4 days after hatching and became postlarvae. On the third day after hatching, the larvae had attained 1.9~2.4 mm in NL, had 25 myomeres, and showed rapid growth. By the ninth day after hatching, the larvae had attained 2.9 mm in NL, had an swimbladder in the dorsal margin of ventral region, the preanus length was 37.9% of NL, and their melanophores were enlarged and reduced in number.
