System Reliability Analysis Considering Correlation of Performances (성능의 상관관계를 고려한 시스템 신뢰성 해석)

  • Reliability analysis of a mechanical system has been developed in order to consider the uncertainties in the product design that may occur from the tolerance of design variables, uncertainties of noise, environmental factors, and material properties. In most of the previous studies, the reliability was calculated independently for each performance of the system. However, the conventional methods cannot consider the correlation between the performances of the system that may lead to a difference between the reliability of the entire system and the reliability of the individual performance. In this paper, the joint probability density function (PDF) of the performances is modeled using a copula which takes into account the correlation between performances of the system. The system reliability is proposed as the integral of joint PDF of performances and is compared with the individual reliability of each performance by mathematical examples and two-bar truss example.

  • 기존의 단방향 차단기 소전류 차단성능 해석에서는 해석의 편의를 위해 실제 차단기의 고정부(고정아크접점과 피스톤)를 움직이게 하고 가동부(퍼퍼 실린더 노즐 등)를 고정시켜 놓고 해석을 하였다. 기존 차단기에서는 이런 식으로 해석을 하여도 아무런 문제가 발생하지 않았으나 이번 당사 모델인 550kV 50kA 1점절 차단기는 차단성능 향상을 위해 양방향으로 구동이 이루어지고 있어서 기존 방식으로 해석을 하는 것이 거의 불가능하다. 따라서 이번 연구에서는 상용프로그램인 PHOENICS를 이용하여 실제 차단기와 마찬가지로 가동부가 움직이도록 모의하는 방법을 개발하여 550kV 1점절 차단기의 소전류 차단성능을 평가하였으며, 앞으로 개발될 모든 복잡한 형태의 차단기도 쉽게 해석할 수 있는 계기를 마련하였다.

Cooling Performance Analysis of a Sub-scale Calorimeter (축소형 칼로리미터의 냉각성능 해석)

  • A cooling performance analysis has been made in the 8-channel calorimeter based on sub-scale KSR-III engine. Three-dimensional heat transfer analysis in cooling channels has been performed using the heat flux distribution through the chamber wall predicted from axi-symmetric compressible flow inside the combustion chamber. The heat flux distribution is verified against the published literature. Presented for the development and operation of the calorimeter are the coolant pressure drop, coolant temperature rise and the maximum chamber wall temperature. Required coolant flow rate is determined for given chamber pressure. Cooling performance is also predicted for temperature dependant coolant properties.

  • 최고진공도 10-10 mbar, 배기속도 2500 L/s를 구현할 대용량 복합 분자펌프(TMP) 설계를 위한 3차원 유동해석을 실시하였다. 진공도가 10-5 mbar 이상이 되는 고진공도에서는 Knudsen 수가 102~107에 이르러 분자간 충돌을 거의 무시할 수 있게 되며, 이때의 유체해석 방법으로서는 통상 희박기체 해석법으로 많이 쓰이는 Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) 방법이나 Continuum fluid에 대한 Navier-Stokes 해석보다, 충돌이 없는 분자의 자유운동을 모사하는 Monte Carlo 방법이 더 적합할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 다단계 rotor와 stator로 구성되는 복합분자 내 유동장에 Monte Carlo 해석법을 적용하여 유동해석을 실시하였다. 해석 방법의 타당성을 확인하기 위해 동일한 형상에 대해 Navier-Stokes 해석과 DSMC 해석을 병행하였다. 각각의 수치적 해석에서 공통적으로, TMP의 성능에 지배적인 영향을 미치는 설계변수는 rotor-stator의 날개각임이 확인되었고, 이 설계변수들의 최적값을 다양한 3차원 유동해석을 통해 도출하였다. 해석결과는 펌프설계에 적용되어 펌프 성능시험결과를 통해 확증된다.

A Study on Performance Analysis Technique of Turboprop Engine(PT6A-62) Using $EASY5^{\circledR}$ (EASY5를 이용한 더보프롭엔진(PT6A-62)의 성능해석기법에 관한 연구)

  • A steady-state performance simulation program using $EASY5^{(R)}$ on the turboprop engine was developed through in this study. The PT6A-62 turboprop engine which is the power plant of the first Korean basic trainer KT-1, was selected for this study. In order to evaluate the proposed perfrmance model the analysis results of $EASY5^{(R)}$ model were compared with the simulated results by the GASTURB program, which is well blown commercially for the simulation performance analysis at various cases. The first case was the uninstalled condition with various altitudes from ground to 30000ft and flight Mach No. 0. The second case was the install condition with various altitude from ground to M at the maximum take off and the ECS (Environmental Control System) OFF conditions. The third case was install condition with the altitude range from 5000 ft to 1000ft and Mach No. 0.1 to 0.3 at maximum ECS operating condition. It was confirm that the results by the $EASY5^{(R)}$ model were well agreed with those by GASTURB within maximum 5.0%

  • It is very important that predict the inelastic seismic behavior exactly for seismic performance evaluation of a building in the performance based seismic design. Evaluation method of seismic performance based on the pushover analysis reflected in PBSE was developed by some researchers. For the evaluation of inelastic global and local seismic responses by pushover analysis exactly. lateral load distribution should be adjusted and reflected the dynamic characteristics of structural system and various seismic ground motions. And performance point should be determined based on the evaluation of reasonable deformation capacity of a building more exactly. An effective method based on the improved the adaptive lateral load distribution and the equivalent responses of a multistory building is proposed in this study to efficiently estimate the accurate inelastic seismic responses. The proposed method can be used to evaluate the seismic performance for the global inelastic behavior of a building and to accurately estimate its local inelastic seismic responses. In order to demonstrate the accuracy and validity of this method, inelastic seismic responses estimated by the proposed method are compared with those obtained from other analytical methods.

  • Drifter is equipment which is hard to localize. Performance of prototype hasn't performed well compared to product of leading companies even though advanced foreign firm's product were dead copied. This study shows cases of approaching the factor which produces performance gap through drifter hydraulic analysis model which is core component of rock drill. Progression of procedure is following. 1) Securing reliability of the analysis model by comparing impact test result with analysis result. 2) Drawing a graph which indicates performance gap between prototype and drifter of advanced foreign firm by using analysis model. 3) Approaching the factor which produces performance gap with analysing variable of the analysis model. Software used for this analysis is SimulationX.

  • 차량의 조종안정성을 해석하기 위해서는 차륜과 현가장치에 의한 비선형성과 조향장치의 동특성 등을 고려한 3차원 차량 모델을 이용하여 정상상태와 과도상태에서의 조향입력에 대한 차량 주 행역학을 해석하여야 한다. 승차감, 조향성능, 주행안정성 등의 동적성능과 현가장치의 특성관 계를 규명하기위하여 3차원 차량모델에 의한 해석과 설계변수에의 민감도 해석을 수행할 필요가 있다.

  • 다구찌 방법을 이용하여 안정거울 시스템의 민감도 해석, 강건설계 및 공차설계를 행하였다. 민감도 해석을 통해 안정거울 시스템의 안정화 성능에 크게 영향을 미치는 7개의 중요한 설계변수를 도출하였다. $m_{M}$이 안정화 성능에 가장 크게 영향을 주므로 공차범위를 줄여야 한다. $m_{M}$, $m_{B}$, $K_{MB}$ , $p_{3}$, $b_{3}$는 공차범위가 크게 안정화 성능에 영향을 미치지 못함을 알 수 있다. 기타의 변수들은 각각 하한공차 및 상한공차로 주어진다.
