Improvement of Flexural Structural Performance and Applied Section Shape for Sound Proof Wall Structures Using Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer(GFRP) (GFRP를 활용한 도로 방음벽 구조물의 구조성능 및 단면형상 개선에 관한 연구)

  • This research presents the structural performance and an improving technique for flexural capacity of road safety facilities based on the damage cases by wind pressure. Among road safety facilities, a support frame of soundproofing walls is considered as a prototype structure and its corresponding structural behaviors and section design are performed mainly by analytical and experimental studies. On the basis of analytical results, glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP) with an epoxy matrix which is high stiffness-to-weight ratio was used for applied one of strengthening techniques and their results shows that support frame strengthened by GFRP is the most effective compared to other cases proposed in this research for advancing its flexural improvement, Finally, optimum section design was performed analytically to evaluate wind-resistance capacity and its result would be very useful for developing a practical design guideline for Road safety facilities under strong wind.

A Performance Improvement of Linux TCP Networking by Data Structure Reuse (자료 구조 재사용을 이용한 리눅스 TCP 네트워킹 성능 개선)

  • As Internet traffic increases recently, much effort has been put on improving the performance of a web server. In addition to hardware side solutions such as replacement by high-end hardware or expansion of the number of servers, there are software side solutions to improve performance. Recent studies on these software side solutions have been actively performed. In this paper, we identify performance degradation problems occurring in a conventional TCP networking reception process and propose a way to solve them. We improve performance by combining three kinds of existing methods for Linux Networking Performance Improvement and two kinds of newly proposed methods in this paper. The three existing methods include 1) an allocation method of a packet flow to a core in a multi-core environment, 2) ITR(Interrupt Throttle Rate) method to control excessive interrupt requests, and 3) sk_buff data structure recycling. The two newly proposed methods are fd data structure recycling and epoll_event data structure recycling. Through experiments in a web server environment, we verify the effect of our two proposed methods and its combination with the three existing methods for performance improvement, respectively. We use three kinds of web servers: a simple web server, Lighttpd generally used in Linux, and Apache. In a simple web server environment, fd data structure recycling and epoll_event data structure recycling bring out performance improvement by about 7 % and 6%, respectively. If they are combined with the three existing methods, performance is improved by up to 40% in total. In a Lighttpd and an Apache web server environment, the combination of five methods brings out performance improvement by up to 36% and 20% in total, respectively.

Performance Analysis of Hybrid CDMA Systems in Impulsive Noise and Nakagami Fading of Wireless Radio Communication (임펄스 잡음과 나카가미 페이딩이 공존하는 무선통신로에서 하이브리드 CDMA 시스템의 성능 해석)

  • In this paper, the performance of Hybrid CDU MFSK system has been analyzed in the environment that narrowband Class-A impulsive noise include Gaussian noise in wireless communication channel and Nakagami fading. The performance of system improved to adopting both of technique MRC diversity and BCH channel coding. The results show that there is substantial degraded in Hybrid CDMA system performance by impulse index is stronger and the fading index is smaller. But also improvement can be obtained when BCH coding techniques are adopted. Additional MRC diversity techniques is more improvement than BCH coding techniques when degraded environment with the low fading index. But BCH coding techniques is more improvement than MRC diversity techniques when fading index has been increased. The Hybrid CDMA MFSK system is incomplete to voice communication standard BER$(10^{-3})$ in Rayleigh fading by independent each adopting techniques BCH coding and MRC diversity. But it's satisfy(improvement can be obtained) to voice communication standard BER in strong impulse noise(24dB over) by adopting techniques BCH coding and MRC diversity at a time. Additional it's a substantial enhancement $(10^{-3})$satisfaction) in fading index (m=3, 22dB) in addition to strong impulse noise and 24dB over with data service standard $(10^{-5})$ BER satisfaction. This result show that there is error performance improved by diversity branch and coding advantage.

  • 최근 빅데이터를 처리하기 위한 고용량의 저장장치의 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 특히 낸드 플래시 메모리 기반 저장장치인 SSD(Solid State Drive)는 고속 데이터 처리가 가능하기 때문에 다양한 저장 시스템에서 사용되고 있다. 그러나 낸드 플래시 메모리는 읽기 속도가 빠르고 쓰기 속도가 느린 비대칭 구조를 가지고 있어 데이터 쓰기 작업이 진행 중일 때 다른 작업이 대기하게 되어 전체적인 시스템 성능에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 이에 대해 대부분의 연구에서는 쓰기 성능을 개선하기 위한 버퍼 관리 정책들이 제안되었다. 기술의 발전으로 쓰기 성능은 개선되었지만, 그에 비해 읽기 성능이 저조한 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 읽기 성능이 쓰기 성능보다 취약한 점을 분석하고 플래시 메모리 내에 저장장치 속도를 개선하기 위해 앞으로 읽기 요청 가능성이 있는 예상 데이터를 선형회귀 모델을 적용하여 전송 대기 시간 중 미리 읽는 정책을 제안한다.

Study of Compressor-Performance Improvement in Automotive Air-Conditioning System (자동차용 에어컨 압축기의 성능 향상에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to realize compressor-performance improvements in the fuel economy of an automotive air-conditioning system. We conduct cooling performance tests in a compressor calorimeter test stand. To improve the cooling performance, we investigate the increase in the suction flow rate and the decrease in the discharge dead volume. Based on the results of the test, we found that the cooling capacity and the coefficient of performance (COP) of the compressors were improved as follows. The cooling performance improved greater at high speeds than low speeds in the case of an increase in the suction flow rate increase, and it improved more at low speeds than at high speed when there was a decrease in the discharge dead volume. When both of the above factors were included, we observed that the improvement effects were generally balanced for both high- and low-speed modes, and there was a significant improvement in the discharge temperature. The improvement was found to be about 3.2% at low speed, 8.3% at high speed during in cooling performance improvement, about 5.8% at low speed and about 6.2% at high speed in COP improvement, and there was a decrease of about $3^{\circ}C$ at low speed and a $5^{\circ}C$ decrease at high speed in discharge temperature.

  • 본 논문에서는 모바일 기반 OpenCV 라이브러리를 이용한 마커리스 객체 인석 성능 향상을 위한 소프트웨어적인 관점의 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 마커리스 기반 알고리즘을 이용하여 테스트를 수행한 후 성능에 저하를 발생시키는 요인들을 분석하고 그에 따른 상황별 적절한 해결책을 제시한다. 이에 따라 크게 프로그램 코드 개선, 마커리스 기반 알고리즘 코드 개선, 센서를 활용한 성능 향상을 도모한다. 프로그램 코드 개선은 테스트 결과를 분석 한 후 수행시간이 가장 많이 소요되는 함수를 최적화하고 또한 최적의 특징점의 수를 제한한다. 마커리스 기반 알고리즘 코드 개선은 병렬 처리가 제공되는 모바일에 한하여 병렬처리기법으로 코드를 수정한다. 마지막 센서를 활용한 성능향상은 실시간 작업 처리 단위를 묶음으로 처리하였을 때 발생하는 품질의 저하를 보정하는 역할을 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 마커리스 객체 인식 성능 향상 방법을 소프트웨어적인 관점에서 제안하고 이에 대한 결과 모바일 기반 실시간 증강현실 서비스를 위한 성능 향상 면에서 효과적이다.

  • In this paper, the performance of DS-CDMA system and FH-CDMA system has been comparision analyzed in a channel environment which is characterized by Multi-User environment and Rayleigh fading environment. The techniques of improvement of the performance has been comperision analysis evaluated when adopting MRC diversity techniques. In same condition, We are analyzed the BER(Bit Error Rate) as increase Use's number due to comparing performance of two systems by Same communication band(300KHz), jamming signal(JSR) 10∼20dB, user data-rate 300bps. In the result, the performance of DS and FH systems in multiuser and Rayleigh fading environment is improved performance when adopting MRC diversity techniques. Especially DS system has been improved performance about 9.5 times than FH system when adopting MRC diversity techniques.

  • In this paper, an improved detection method is proposed by supplementing various types of Proportional gam for a MMSE detecter. This method is proposed io complement the shortcomings of the conventional detection method which is used for multiuser detection in STBC(Space-Time Block Code) CDMA system. We analyzed the improved method in bit error probability viewpoint and compared the result with that of the conventional method. In this result, we showed that the Improved method obtains better performance of bit error probability than the conventional method when parameters such as delay, number of user and SNR are increased.

  • In this paper, we have analyzed the BER (Bit Error Rate) performance of MC-CDMA systems under indoor wireless environment with class A impulsive noise suggested by Middleton. For the performance evaluation, we considered from strong to weak impulsive noise characteristics. And we have evaluated the degree of performance improvement by using turbo code as a compensation technique to impulsive noise. From the result of analysis, it is found powerful performance improvement scheme must be adopted in the system under impulsive noise environment, and when turbo code scheme is adopted, system BER performance is improved by the $10^{-2}$. As the impulsive noise characteristics approaches AWGN characteristics, the degree of performance improvement by adopting turbo code become larger.

  • 효과적인 소프트웨어 프로세스 개선을 위해 SPICE와 CMMI 프로세스 심사 표준을 도입하려는 노력을 하고 있다. 이러한 표준을 통해 효과적인 개선하기 위해서는 개선점과 위험을 식별하고 이들 이슈들을 개발환경에 적용시켜서 조직의 비전에 대응한 작업성능을 높여야한다. 지속적인 개선을 필요로 하는 조직은 현재의 작업성능을 측정하고 이를 개선하기 위한 개선점을 찾아내는 능력과 경험을 축적하여 체계적으로 관리하는 것이 중요하다. 하지만 기존의 SPI 모델들은 무엇을 수행해야 하는지에 대한 지침은 제공하고 있지만, 정량적인 작업성능 측정 및 특정 환경의 소프트웨어 개발 조직의 SPI를 위해 필요한 구체적인 지침을 제시하고 있지는 않다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 정량적인 SPI룰 위해 프로세스 측정 메트릭 정의와 심사 경험이 분석되어 활용될 수 있는 PCM(Process Capability Metric) Experience Factory 모델을 제안한다.
