중국 기업의 가치 혁신 신제품개발 전략에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 중국 기업들을 대상으로 가치 혁신 신제품개발 전략, 관리 방식, 학습 방식, 그리고 신제품 성과간의 관계를 살펴보고, 중국 고유 문화와 중국이 겪고 있는 환경적 변화가치 혁신 신제품개발을 위한 관리 방식과 학습 방식에 어떻게 영향을 끼치는지를 조사하였다. 본 연구 결과는 이론적으로, 가치 혁신 신제품개발을 위해서는 조합적 관리방식과 조합적 학습 방식이 필요하다는 점을 밝혀 주고 있다. 그리고, 중국 기업들은 이러한 관리와 학습 방식을 수행하는데 유리한 국가 문화와 환경을 갖고 있음을 보여 주고 있기 때문에, 국가 문화와 국가 환경이 신제품개발 관리에 영향을 끼치고 있음을 증명해 주고 있다.

  • There are more problems in distributing agricultural and special products than industrial products because they have such restrictions as seasonal fluctuation in the quantity, indeterminate and diverse shapes, many farm households, a small amount of shipment, and mandatory guide and maintenance. However, with social atmosphere called well-being, there are increasing concerns about inorganic agricultural products and direct trade with farmers. It is therefore urgent to stabilize the price of agricultural and special products and to correctly grasp and improve logistics activities for those dealing with agricultural and special products in order to supply fresh ones. This study aimed at examining logistics activities and the information technology level for agricultural and special products, determining how these factors affect logistics performance, and eventually suggesting a scheme to improve the logistics achievements for agricultural and special products. For this purpose, it selected information technology and logistics activity levels as independent variables and logistics performance as a dependent variable. The information technology level was measured for utility, holding level, and concern, respectively, and the logistics activity level was tested for the level of using the logistics information system in those companies concerned. From the above-mentioned findings, it is urgent to enhance distribution technology and its level immediately since distribution of agricultural and special products is poor in Korea and good distribution can contribute to a reduction of logistics costs or improvement of customer service.

  • The most serious problem company facing in today's business environment is the failure of new product development outcomes. Statistically, almost half of the new products released each year failed. Despite the innovative technological advances, consumers' expectation level become much higher and global competition is intensifying. In addition, the new product life cycle is becoming shorter and shorter. It is difficult for a company to survive without developing long-lived products. The most important issue in a company's success and failure is the successful development and introduction of new products. Previous research has presented many determinants to achieve a successful new product development. This study focuses on dynamic competence as an important determinant, and identifies the constituting elements. Enterprises need to acquire, absorb, integrate and reconfigure their resources to survive and develop continuously. It is necessary to hold a dynamic ability switching resource bases in order to adapt to changing environments. The results of this study are as follows: First, the effect of learning, reconfiguration, and alliance capabilities on the new product development of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises seems to be positive. Second, the integrative and reconfiguration capabilities positively affect a new product development under high environmental turbulence.

A measure for activating BIM by actual application analysis of integrated utilization process of quantity, process(4D), and construction cost(5D) in view of life-cycle

  • In this paper, we propose a novel method for converting the existing 2D processes in the design and construction phase of civil engineering, to the future BIM-based processes. First, we compare and analyze the actual application processes of the outputs of the existing 2D method and the outputs of the 3D BIM method, for the whole process of BIM design of earthworks and road structures and integrated utilization of quantity, process(4D) and construction cost(5D), in view of life-cycle. The proposed method acquire the outputs of the design phase integrating IFC international common standard file information and CBS/OBS/WBS standard classification scheme information, and acquire the outputs of the construction stage by using an integrated utilization module for quantity, process(4D) and construction cost(5D). Ultimately, we intend to commercialize the step by step technologies for BIM design and construction in civil engineering by using the proposed method.

The Effect of Interfirms Communication on the Financial Performance due to New Product Development (거래업체간 의사소통이 신제품 개발로 인한 재무적 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently many companies build interfirms cooperation based on their trust. These typology of partnerships play important roles for good results especially for joint product development. Therefore the purpose of this article is to investigate the role of interfirms communication in B2B market. We also investigate interfirms communication affecting the result of new product performance through two relationship factors(trust, conflict) in B2B market. Data were gathered from respondents who work in industrial buying center. Major findings of this study are summarized as follows: First, communication has positive effects on trust but negative effects on conflict. Second, trust is shown to have positive effects on cooperation and new product performance. However, conflict is shown to have negative effects on cooperation and new product performance. As a result, interfirms communication derives new product performance. In conclusion, this study means that we tried to investigate the human relationship in B2B market.

A Study on the Effect of NPD(New Product Development) and Communication on Performance through Collaboration (협업을 통한 신제품 개발과 커뮤니케이션이 성과에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • New Product Development (NPD) is essential for companies' survival, and continuous growth in the rapidly changing, convergence and business environment, and companies need to collaborate with their internal and external partners to improve performance in NPD. This research examined the integrated relationship between NPD (Cross-functional collaboration, and supplier collaboration) and collaborative communication (formality and reciprocal feedback) on corporate performance. The employees who worked in manufacturing for more than one year with experience in NPD were tested. The reliability and feasibility were assessed using the sample 272 data. The results are summarized as follows. First, cross-functional collaboration and supplier collaboration, which are the factors of NPD collaboration, had a significant positive effect on formality. Second, formality and reciprocal feedback had a significant positive effect on reciprocal feedback and corporate performance. Therefore, for successful NPD, manufacturing companies need to establish efficient management strategies and communicate officially and reciprocally to maximize productivity and efficiency based on the reciprocal partnership between suppliers. To accomplish this, companies need to plan effective communication strategies to respond quickly to internal and external partners' needs.

Prior Industry Experience, Product Attributes and Online Customer Review on New Product Sales: TV Products on Chinese Online Shopping (이전사업경험, 제품속성 및 온라인 고객평가가 제품 매출성과에 미치는 영향: 중국 온라인 쇼핑몰내 TV제품 중심으로)

  • This paper examines the effects of prior industry experience, new product attributes and online customer review on new product sales. Different from prior researches on the volume and valence of customer review on online shopping, this paper investigated multiple factors on new product sales in online shopping mall. Based on 407 TV new products in China online shopping mall, we investigated the relationships of kew factors with new products sales. New products of Incumbent TV manufacturers outsell those of new entrants in TV market. Low initial price and low level of discount rate have positive relationships with new product sales. Technological superiority has positive effect on new product sales but the adoptions of new technological functions show different effects on sales. The volume of online consumer review also has positive relationship with new product sales. This paper suggest some theoretical and practical implications and future research directions.

  • 대부분의 서구 하이테크 기업들이 "신제품 프리어나운싱 (new product preannouncing)"을 공식적인 신제품 개발, 출시 전략의 일부분으로 채택, 활용하고 있다. 최근 미국 학계에서도 이 분야에 대한 연구관심이 급속히 증가하고 있지만, 한국에서는 신제품 프리어나운싱이라는 개념조차 제대로 알려져 있지 않은 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구는 신제품 프리어나운싱에 대한 개념적 고찰 및 미국에서의 기존 연구 성과를 요약, 제시한다. 이를 통해 한국 하이테크 기업들이 프리어나운싱 전략을 활용, 신제품의 성공가능성을 높이는데 도움을 주고자 하며, 아울러 이 분야에 대한 한국에서의 향후 연구에 실마리를 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구는 먼저 신제품 프리어나운싱의 개념적 특성, 사례 및 신제품 프리어나운싱에 수반되는 혜택 및 위험을 구체적으로 기술한다. 그리고 신제품 프리어나운싱 의사결정과 관련된 개념적 모형도를 개발, 제시하며, 관련된 기존 연구 및 향후 이 분야에서 요구되는 연구내용 들을 요약, 제시한다.

Slotting Allowances: Antecedents and Consequences (신제품 입점지원비 : 선행요인과 결과)

  • At this paper, we investigate two factors of market aspects, such as market power perspective and market efficiency perspective, as influential factors on size of slotting allowances of new products. Also, our research might examine the effects of slotting allowances of new products on both performance of new products and consumer prices. For the empirical research, we analysis 128 domestic manufacturers. In result, there is a positive relationship between retailers' brand equity and the size of slotting allowances. However, there is a negative relationship between retailer replaceability and the size of slotting allowances. Also, the effect of transaction period is negative direction and the effect of the environment uncertainty is positive direction. And the effect of the scale of the slotting allowance of new products is positive direction on the performance of the manufacturers and the price of new products. And, the theoretical and practical implications of this result and future research were suggested.

The influence of entrepreneurial orientation and absorptive capacity on SME's NPD (기업가적 지향성과 흡수역량이 중소기업의 신제품개발에 미치는 영향)

  • New product development(NPD) is imperative management activity for growth and survival of the firm. In the context of the small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs), the firm became further dependent upon NPD with the increasing turbulence in environments. This research suggests the role of entrepreneurship orientation(EO) and absorptive capacity(ACAP) that affect the success rate of NPD in SMEs. Although each of them has been highlighted as critical resources in the aspect of the sustainable competitive advantage, the relationship and the effect between EO and ACAP have received scant attention. Based on the sample of 261 Korean SMEs, this study examines the direct/indirect effect of EO and ACAP on NPD performance. While innovativeness of EO has the direct effect on NPD performance, both risk-taking and proactiveness of EO show no significance. While realized ACAP has the positive influence on NPD performance, potential ACAP shows no significant influence. In addition, we found that the impact of innovativeness on NPD performance was being partially mediated by ACAP whereas the relationship between proactiveness and NPD performance being fully mediated by ACAP. These findings would provide generic insights that both exploration and exploitation regarding knowledge and resources in SMEs are necessary in order to increase NPD performance and two activities have to align with EO.
