Design of a Knowledge Oriented Global Supply Chain Management Model and Analysis of Its Effectiveness (지식지향 글로벌 공급사슬관리 모형의 설계와 효과분석)

  • The purpose of the present study is to analyze how and to what degree multinational companies organize and operate their supply chains in accordance with the strategic resource of knowledge in their multinational management, and what kind of influence knowledge oriented global supply chain management has on the management performance of multinational corporations. For this purpose, the current research proposed a measurement model to provide specific shape to the concept of knowledge oriented global supply chain management by adopting the knowledge creation process proposed by Nonaka (1994), and conducted an empirical analysis of what kind of impact the knowledge management system and the knowledge creation process of companies have on the performance of their global supply chain management. The result of the empirical analysis of 113 multinational companies verified the validity and reliability of the measurement model proposed in this study. In addition, the comparative study of the sampled companies by grouping them according to the level of knowledge orientation in global supply chain management indicated that the enterprises that effectively manage the knowledge created within the global supply chain presented overall superiority on the performance of global supply chain management.

합병기업(合倂企業)의 수익률행태(收益率行態)와 장기적(長期的) 효과(效果)

  • 합병은 정의 초과수익을 실현할 것이라는 가설과는 다르게 많은 연구들이 부의 초과수익을 실현하고 있는 것으로 보고하고 있다. 이러한 이유로 합병성과가 자본자산가격결정모형에 의해서 측정하는 것과 합병대상기업의 시장성과를 측정하는 과정에서 측정상의 오차를 배제할 방법이 강구되지 못하였다는 것을 들 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 두번째 이유를 해결하기 위한 대체적인 방법으로 합병기업의 합병전 후 수익률의 행태를 분석하고, 수익률행태에 차이가 있다면 그 원인이 투자자의 과민반응 때문인가 아니면 체계적 위험 때문인가를 밝혔다. 검증결과 우리나라 상장기업간 합병으로 인한 수익률의 행태변화는 없었으므로 투자자가 평가하는 합병의 중 장기적 효과는 없다고 할 수 있다. 이는 구미의 자율적인 합병과는 달리 우리의 경우는 비경쟁적이고 정부 주도적 산업정책적 합병이 주류를 이루고 있기 때문에 나타나는 현상이라 사료되며 따라서, 계열기업의 합병으로 인한 추가적인 시너지 효과도 기대할 수 없다. 다만, 검증대상 기업중 유일하게 한 회사만 투자자의 과잉반응은 나타나지 않았지만, 체계적위험의 변화가 있었다.

A Study on the Cross Hedge Performance of KOSPI 200 Stock Index Futures (코스피 200 주가지수선물을 이용한 교차헤지 (cross-hedge))

  • This paper tests cross hedging performance of the KOSPI 200 stock index futures to hedge the downside risk of the KOSPI, KOSPI 200 and KOSDAQ50 spot market. For this purpose we introduce the minimum variance hedge model, bivariate GARCH(1,1) and EGARCH(1,1) model as hedge models. The main results are as follows; First, we find that the direct hedge performance of KOSPI 200 index futures is better than those of indirect hedge performance. second, in case or cross hedge performance the hedge effect of KOSPI 200 stock index futures market against KOSPI 200 stock index spot market is relatively better than those of KOSPI 200 index futures against KOSPI and KOSDAQ spot position. Third, for the out-sample, hedging effectiveness of the risk-minimization with constant hedge ratios is higher than those of the time varying bivariate GARCH(1,1) and EGARCH(1,1) model. In conclusion, investors are encouraged to use simple risk-minimization model rather than the time varying hedge models like GARCH and EGARCH model to hedge the position of the Korean stock index cash markets.

A Study on the Effects of Mindset on the Cabin Crew's Stress and Job Performance (마인드셋이 객실승무원의 스트레스, 직무성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the mindset on stress and job performance. For the analysis, a questionnaire is conducted for cabin crew members in K airlines, and a total of 266 copies are used for the final analysis. To verify the hypotheses of the study, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, measurement model analysis, validation of the measuremen model, and structural equation model analysis are used based on the questionnaire. First, it is confirmed that the mindset had a negative (-) effect on the cabin crew's role stress, reward stress and relationship stress. Second, it is found that cabin crew's reward stress have a negative (-) effect on job performance. On the other hand, relationship stress is found to have a positive influence on job performance and there is no significant result in effect with role stress. Third, the mindset showes a significant positive impact relationship on job performance. As a result, it is necessary to introduce a mindset intervention program so that it can be applied in practical work. These research results confirm the positive effects of mindsets and show that they contribute to organizational performance. In addition, it is necessary to prepare a program to change the mindset of airline cabin crew and to be applied in actual work.

  • 무한경쟁시대를 맞이하여 세계는 고 부가가치 경제구조로 전환이 빨라지고 있는 이 시점에서, 대기업을 중심으로 한 성장프라이드 정책에 의해 진행되어온 우리 경제구조가 IMF구제 금융을 받아들임으로써 그 한계를 들어내고 이에 대한 대안으로 떠 오른 것이 벤처기업이다. 벤처기업은 정보동신, 소프트웨어, 첨단산업분야를 주요 사업 영역으로 삼고 있으면, 첨단 고 부가가치 기술을 보유하고 있기 때문에 이에 정보통신부는 정보통신분야의 벤처기업에 대한 투자자금 공급기반을 확충하기 위해 2002년까지 총 4,000억원 정도의 정보통신 벤처기업 투자펀드를 조성할 계획이다. 이처럼 벤처기업의 중요성이 부각되고 있는 이 시점에서 이에 대한 공정하고 엄격한 성과측정이 중요시되고 있다. 경제성 평가모형과 관련한 연구는 재무적인 측면과 비재무적인 측면으로 구분하여 진행되어 왔으며, 본 연구에서는 비재무적 측면의 BSC(Balanced Score Card)를 가지고 경제성을 평가하려 한다. BSC는 기존의 재무적 실과지표 뿐만 아니라 고객관점, 내부 경영프로세스관점, 학습과 성장관점의 4가지 차원에서 통합적인 성과평가가 가능한 모형이다. 이를 위해 국내정보통신 벤처기업들을 대상으로 FGI(Focus Group Interview)를 실시하여 경제성 평가모형 구축에 필요한 항목들을 찾아내고 이를 바탕으로 경제성 분석 모형을 개발하였다.

The Relationship between TQM Practices and R&D Performance: A Contingency Approach (구조방정식을 이용한 TQM 프랙티스와 R&D 성과에 관한 연구: 상황이론적 접근)

  • Research interest in TQM has recently begun extending beyond manufacturing to moreinnovative R&D activities. Despite numerous studies of the relationship between TQM and organizational performance, little are known about the relationship between TQM and R&D performance. This is especially true for manufacturing-based R&D performance. The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between TQM and R&D, and also explore several contingencies that moderate the relationship. The study uses data from 133 R&D divisions of Korean manufacturing firms to test hypotheses regarding the relation of TQM with R&D. TQM measures are aligned with the six criteria of Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, and the R&D performance measures consist of incremental and innovative R&D aspects. The findings from structural equation modeling show that TQM practices contribute to R&D performance significantly in aggregate, and their specific contributions vary according to the contingencies, which provide further understanding of the relationship between TQM and R&D in the manufacturing sector. Therefore, the results could offer firms a better strategy for their R&D management. This study is, however, exploratory in nature; the conclusion is tentative and may thus be different in other research settings.

  • The privatization and commercialization of airports has moved forward at the globa1 level. individual countries have begun to focus less on the public welfare aspect of airports, and to emphasize the need to uncover means of increasing their respective airports economic performance and profitability. Although there is a need for Korean airports to be managed in accordance with this global trend. In order to conduct an accurate comparison and analysis of the managerial performances of the fourteen airports, the WLU(Work Load Unit) a concept which integrates the two outputs of airports, namely, passengers and freight, was employed in this study. Furthermore, in order to overcome the limitations of conducting a financial comparison based solely on WLU, the DEA model was also employed to evaluate airport efficiency: moreover, the benchmarking method was used to establish the input-output goals.

Evaluation of university funding research program via social network analysis (사회 네트워크 분석을 이용한 대학 자체학술지원 프로그램 성과 평가)

  • This research develops an evaluation framework of social network analysis, overlooked in traditional program evaluation, and applies to university funding research program. By setting degree increase, an indicator of level of research collaboration, as a goal from the viewpoint of network, we can conclude that researchers funded by university in a form of competition show statistically significant changes in degree increase via one-way ANOVA and permutation-based simulation. This research provides a tool for measuring and managing the degree of contribution of university funding to promoting research collaboration.

Development of Signalized-Intersection LOS Determination Method Based on Satefy (교통안전에 의한 신호교차로 서비스수준 결정방법의 개발)

  • 신호교차로 서비스수준은, 객관적으로 측정 할 수 있는 여러 가지 기준에 의해 결정될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 지체시간(Delay), 교통사고수(Number of Accident), 교통사고율(Accident Rate), 충돌수(Traffic Conflict), 그리고 교통사고에 노출된 차량수(Exposure)등이다. 지금까지는 1985 Highway Capacity Manual(HCM)에서 소개된 지체시간에 의한 서비스수준 결정방법이 널리 사용되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 1985 HCM 방법의 중용성과 유용성에 대해 논하지 않고, 교통안전(Safety)에 의한 신호교차로 서비스수준 결정방법을 제시하였다. 교차로의 위험도(Degree of Intersection Hazard)를 예측하기 위해, 교통사고빈도 수가 가장 높은 두가지 교통사고 유형, 즉 좌회전추돌(Left-Tum)과 후미추돌(Rear-End) 예측 모형이 개발되었다. 여기서 첫째, 좌회전추돌 위험도를 예측하기 위하여 음지수 분포(Negative-Exponential Distribution)를 이용한 확률적 모형이 개발되었다. 둘째, 후미추돌 위험도를 예측하기 위하여 연속류 모형(Continuum Model)을 이용한 거시적 모형이 개발되었다. 개발된 두가지 모형을 이용하여 신호교차로 안전도를 예측하였으며 교차로 서비스수준이 안전도에 의해 결정되었다. 본 논문에서 제시된 교통안전에 의한 신호교차로 서비스수준 결정방법은 연동교차로를 제외한 독립교차로에만 적용이 된다.

Reliability in longitudinal study (종단적 연구의 신뢰도)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate retest reliabilities in longitudinal study, the same test is administered repeatedly over time. Linear mixed models were used to establish various situations of tests occurred in longitudinal study. Combination of two types of true value and three types of systematic error was considered. In order to apply the models to real longitudinal data, height data from the Berkeley growth study and vocabulary score data from the University of Chicago experimental school were used. Using the mixed model, there is an advantage that the reliability can be determined by selecting the covariance structure of the true value and the error separately. However, in order to properly analyze the reliability, researchers need to consider variations that can occur in measurement, such as characteristics of subject, the test, and the the treatment applied in the study. And the proper model should be selected and the quality of the measurement should be evaluated for each trial.
