Numerical Integration-based Performance Analysis of Cross-eye Jamming Algorithm through Amplitude Ratio Perturbation (진폭비 섭동에 의한 cross-eye 재밍에 대한 수치적분 기반 성능분석)

  • This paper deals with the performance analysis of the jamming effect of cross-eye when the difference between the real amplitude ratio and the nominal amplitude ratio due to mechanical defects is modeled as a random variable with a normal distribution. We propose how to evaluate mean square difference (MSD) obtained using a numerical integration-based approach. The MSD obtained by the proposed method is closer to non-approximated Monte-Carlo simulation-based MSD than the analytic MSD calculated using the first-order Taylor approximation and the second-order Taylor approximation. It is shown that, based on the numerical integration, the effect of amplitude ratio perturbation on the cross-eye jamming performance can be evaluated without going through the computationally intensive Monte-Carlo method.

  • Damping characteristics of pressure oscillation induced by an orifice in fluid feeding line for are investigated numerically and experimentally. Assuming small pressure oscillation, acoustic damping effect of orifice is confirmed experimentally, and with the mean flow, damping characteristics of an orifice are investigated numerically. When an orifice is installed at the node of pressure oscillation corresponding to the anti-node of velocity oscillation, suppression of pressure oscillation is maximized and with the mean flow, the resonant frequency is decreased. And, it is found that the optimal position of an orifice for damping shouled be changed.

  • In this paper, a new method to estimate stress status in metal nondestructively by using nonlinear dependency of sound speed on stress is proposed. For the purpose, equivalent nonlinear elastic constants up to fourth-order are introduced and a new characteristic parameter given as a function of these constants is presented. And a concrete system to measure the characteristic parameter is constructed by electromagnetic pumping wave and ultrasonic probing wave system. Some experimental results for Al alloy showed that the estimation of stress status in metal is possible by the proposed method.

  • We developed the S/W which calculate the Planetary and the Moon ephemerides. The ephemeris of the Solar system objects was obtained from a simultaneous numerical integration of the equations of motion for the nine planets and the Moon. The mathematical model includes contributions from (1) point-mass interactions (2) figure effect (3) earth tides (4) the orientations of the Earth and the Moon. The calculated ephemerides are compared with DE200 data produced by JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory).

  • Combustion characteristics of KSR-III liquid rocket engine are investigated numerically in the standpoints of engine performance and acoustic instability. In the present calculation, engine performance for design and off-design conditions is estimated effectively with reasonable error. Numerical results of acoustic instability show that engine operation for the design condition has sufficient stability margin, but for a certain off-design condition, acoustic instability can be triggered by artificial pressure perturbation. The present results are in a good agreement with the available experimental results and can be adopted for the prediction of engine performance and stability, depending on the specific operating condition.

  • A coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) technique is applied to measure temperature profile in a flame. The CARS signal is obtained with BOXCARS phase matching to get better spatial resolution. A program routine for calculating temperature of the flame from the measured CARS spectra is studied. The routine includes the line broadening mechnism of the molecules described with a modified energy gap (MEG) law by using the perturbation theory. We have found that the temperature profile obtained with the MEG law is properly fit with the results measured with a thermocoulpe and calculated with the adiabatic theory.

  • 가스터빈용 희박 예혼합 연소기 내부에 와류 발생기(vortex generator)를 장착하여 그에 따른 연료/공기혼합 및 NOx 배출 특성 변화를 조사하였다. 이를 위해 수치해석적 방법을 채택하여 연소기내 유동특성, 연료/공기 혼합도, 배기가스(NOx), 화염형상을 분석하였다. 와류 발생기를 장착한 경우, 연소기 내부에서 와류 발생기에 의한 나사산 형상으로 인해 와류가 형성되며 이는 연소기 전면부까지 유지되었다. 또한 연소기 내부 면적 차로 인해 압력섭동이 발생하였다. 이와 더불어 연소기 전면부 기준 상류지역의 연료와 공기의 혼합도가 증가됨으로서 연료 과농지역이 감소하게 되며 이로 인해 전반적인 NOx 발생량의 감소 효과를 볼 수 있었다. 화염 형상의 변화로부터 와류 발생기의 영향으로 선회수는 다소 감소할 것으로 예상되며, 이는 와류 발생기로 인한 유속의 반복적 증감에 의한 결과라고 판단된다.

  • The integral Hellmann-Feynman Theorem of Parr is generalized to give a full significance to the off-diagonal form, and certain aspects of it are discussed. By use of the generalized form of the theorem, effects of configuration interaction to the crystal field theory are examined, taking perturbation energies of all order collectively into account. Thus, it is shown that there do not exist, especially when the field is strong, the radial integral which is common to all states characterized by ${\Gamma}$, S and m, and could be parametrized. If, however, one restricts the perturbing excited states only to those angularly undistorted and radially equally distorted, there results simple scaling of the crystal field parameter 10 Dq and Condon-Slater parameter $F^n$ defined within the framework of the classical crystal field theory.

  • Combustion oscillations are caused by a coupling between acoustic waves and unsteady heat release. They can be eliminated using passive controller such as a helmholtz resonator. But, helmholtz resonator is normally only effective over a narrow frequency range. In this work, helmholtz resonator is applied for reducing the combustion oscillations and we vary the helmholtz resonator volume using piston in oder to tune in the wide range of operating conditions. As the result, it is found that the dominant combustion oscillations can be reduced by optimizing the size of resonator volume. Also, from these results, we investigate feasibility of actively tuned passive control

3차원 입자 시뮬레이션을 이용한 직각 자석 구조의 마그네트론 스퍼터 장비 모델링 및 타겟 침식률 계산

  • LCD 생산에 적용할 수 있는 대형 마그네트론 스퍼터 장비에서 공간적으로 불균일한 타겟 침식은 타겟의 사용 효율을 떨어뜨린다. 특히 직사각형의 외부 자석과 직선형태의 내부 자석 구조를 가진 마그네트론 스퍼터에서는 cross-corner 효과로 인해 국부적으로 일정 부분에 대한 상대적으로 높은 침식률이 문제가 된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 국부적으로 자기장 세기를 바꾸는 시행착오를 통하여 실험적으로 문제를 해결하려는 방법이 있지만 비용 및 시간이 매우 많이 들어 전산모사를 통한 문제 해결 방법이 훨씬 유리하다. 우리는 몬테 카를로 방법에 기반한 3차원 입자 시뮬레이션을 통하여 마그네트론 스퍼터 장비를 모델링을 하였다. 직사각형의 외부와 직선형의 내부 자석 구조가 만들어 내는 정적인 공간 자기장의 분포는 OPERA3D를 이용하여 계산하였고, 플라즈마 입자들이 만들어내는 자기장에 의해 섭동영향을 받지 않는다고 가정하였다. 플라즈마 전기장 및 전하의 운동은 상호작용의 일관성이 유지되도록 계산하였다. 이온밀도의 공간분포는 내부 자석과 외부 자석 사이의 직선 부분 보다 cross-corner 효과가 일어나는 부분에서 상대적으로 더 높은 밀도분포를 보였다. 플라즈마 시뮬레이션을 통하여 얻은 타겟에 입사한 이온의 개수 및 속도에 대한 정보를 이용하여 타겟의 침식률을 계산하였다. 이러한 침식률을 계산하기 위한 시뮬레이션 기술은 산업용 대형 스퍼터 장비 연구 및 개발에 매우 효율적인 방법이 될 것이다.
