In this study, we analyzed the written and drawn explanations of thirty elementary school pre-service teachers in order to examine their perception on the seasonal length of day and night. The main findings are as follows: First, pre-service teachers used the most common term in the description of the texts, such as meridian altitude, axis of rotation, and revolution, and there were more misconceptions in the drawn explanation than in the written explanation. Second, by analyzing the pre-service teachers' perceptions by combining written and drawn explanations, it is possible to detect scientific errors that the distance between the Earth and the Sun is closer when the axis of rotation is tilted in relation to the revolution and seasonal changes due to changes in the orbital radius of the Earth. In addition, there have been types of explanations such as seasonally changing meridian altitudes related to the rotation of the Earth but no change in the location of the Sun. Based on the results of the analysis, we discussed the lack of experience in constructing an explanatory system of specific phenomena using scientific knowledge, lack of observational experiences about natural phenomena, and lack of exposure to other explanatory systems that cause cognitive conflicts. We hope that it will be concrete and practical help to improve the understanding of pre-service teachers in the science domain of primary teacher training program.

This study attempted to test whether or not students' collaborative argumentation and explanation activity while using concept mapping did improve understanding on texts. Total of 52 college students participated in this study. They were randomly assigned to one of four experimental conditions. The experiment lasted for two or three weeks and students were tested on comprehension level of a text material that they have studied over the period. As a result, with two independent factors of explanation and collaboration, there was a significant interaction effect without main effects. That is, individual did better when they did have to explain what they were doing. However, this is not the case when students collaborate. Students in the paired condition, they did better when they do not have to explain what they were doing with concept maps. This study showed efficiency with using computerized software does not always guarantee higher understanding on text materials. Instructional contexts and variables, collaboration and explanation, needs to be considered. Collaborating with others and explaining their own learning processes should be carefully designed when they are combined with concept mapping contexts. How to minimize learning obstacles from discussing ideas with others are a critical issue for future research.

이 글에서는 재료의 경년열화의 종류, 판정 방법 등에 관한 일반사항을 기술하고 고온 . 고압용 기의 경년열화현상의 대표적인 예인 T.E의 기구와 T.E감수성에 미치는 화학성분의 영향에 대해 설명하였다. 아울러 필자가 그 동안 연구해온 T.E에 의한 재료강도저하를 설명하고 수명예측을 행할 수 있는 방법을 설명하였다. 끝으로 열화의 비파괴 판정만으로 수명예측이 어려우므로 시 간에 따른 열화 정도를 파악 할 수 있는 재료강도의 주곡선을 만들어야 할 것이다. 이와 같은 실험을 하기 위해 열화재의 가속제작방법과 열화치료대책 등에 대해 설명하였다. 앞으로 국내 에서는 열화에 대한 재료강도의 주곡선이 많이 얻어져서 기계 구조물의 수명예측이 정확하게 이루어질 날이 올 것을 기대한다.

CO-ROM에 의한 데이터베이스의 제작이 큰 관심의 표적으로 되어있다. 그러나 대부분은 아직도 베타테스트의 단계이다. 먼저 CD-ROM의 개요와 현황을 설명하고 다음은 CD-ROM의 대표적 제품인 Dissertation Abstracts Ondisc에 대해 설명한 다음 Ondisc 검색과 Online 검색의 기능을 비교하였다. Ondisc, Online 양검색법의 장점과 단점을 서로 보완하기 위해 개발된 DIALOG Ondisc ERIC을 설명하고 Ondisc, Online의 상호검색에 대해 간단히 설명하였으며 더욱이 CD-ROM이 가지고 있는 문제점에 대해서도 일반에게 널리 알리고, 이것이 해결되면 Ondisc를 중심으로 분산형 Online시대가 될 것으로 예상하였다.

한국리모델링협회에서는 2001년 9월 7일 부산시 크라운호텔에서 건축물 리모델링산업의 동향 및 전망에 과한 설명회를 개최하였다. 이 설명회에서는 윤영선 건설산업연구원 선임연구위원이 시장동향 및 전망에 관한 주제발표를 진행하고 이어 참가업체 및 지역 공공기관 관계자들의 토론이 이루어졌다. 부산지역의 리모델링 시장은 수도권지역과 비교할 때 시장 활성화가 1년정도 늦어진 것으로 분석되고 있어 최근 지역 업계 및 공공기관을 중심으로 시장분위기가 점차 조성되고 있다. 이날 설명회의 내용을 정리하였다.

서울인쇄정보산업협동조합(이사장 이충원)은 지난 10월16일 인쇄정보센터 7층 강당에서 조달청 물품구매제도와 관련한 설명회를 개최됐다. 이날 설명회는 서울지방 조달청 혁신담당팀 박희경 계약전문관의 '나라장터 운용방법'과 조달청 중앙구매사업단 일반물자팀 설태웅 사무관의 '물품구매 적격심사제도 설명회'라는 2가지 주제로 진행됐다. 이에 본지에서는 인쇄업관계자들의 이해를 돕기 위해 조달청 물품구매 적격심사 부분을 요약, 게재한다.

작업 기억내에서의 통사처리과정을 살펴보기 위해 생략어를 포함하는 네가지 유형의 대등 연결문을 마지작 단어 읽기 과제를 통해 비교하였다. 특히 통사과정에 관한 설명으로 제시되는, 근접 가설, 작업 기억 가설, 최근 필러 이용 가설의 상대적 설명의 효율성을 검증하고자 하였다. 실험 결과는, 주어가 공통논항인, 표준 어순의 연결문이 다른 세 유형의 연결문보다 이해 시간이 빨랐다. 이 결과는 어느 한 가설로는 설명될 수 없으며, 대안적인 설명으로 작업 기억내에서 이용 가능한 여러 정보의 상호 제약에 의해 이루어짐을 논의 했다.

본고에서는 Nd:YAG 레이저의 구조 및 특성에 대하여 설명한 뒤 그 제작 및 응용기술에 대한 이해를 돕고자 한다. 제2장에서는 일반적으로 레이저에 대하여 잘 모르는 사람이 이해하기 쉽도록 발전원리에 대하여 간략하게 기술한 후, YAG 레이저의 구조 및 특징에 대하여 간략하게 기술하고 YAG레이저의 구조 및 특징에 대하여 설명하고자 한다. 제3장에서는 전기연구소에서 수행한 YAG 레이저의 설계 및 제작기술, 그리고 연구결과에 대하여 간략히 설명하고 제4장에서는 그 응용기술에 대하여 설명한다. 제5장은 본고에서 기술한 내용을 정리함과 동시에 금후의 발전방향에 대하여 이야기 하고자 한다.

ESCO협회는 12일 오후 2시 JW메리어트호텔에서 '선진 에너지절약전문기업(ESCO:Energy Service Company) 시장 진출 전략 설명회'를 개최했다. 이번 설명회는 미국, 호주 에너지 관리전문 기업을 연사로 초청해 우리기업에게 에너지 절약방안을 설명하고, 선진 ESCO시장에 진출할 기회를 모색해 보고자 마련됐다. 이번 설명회에서는 에너지관리 분야에 기술력을 보유하고 있으면서도 미국, 캐나다, 호주 등 선진시장에 대한 정보가 부족하여 ESCO 시장진출에 애로를 겪고 있는 기업들을 위해 마련되었다. 이에 해외 ESCO 시장 진출에 필요한 최신 정보를 접할 수 있도록 각국의 구체적인 사례 중심으로 발표가 구성되었다. 이번 행사는 중소기업청이 주최하고, KOTRA와 ESCO 협회가 공동주관했다.
