The Study on Solid Fuel Regression Rate of Swirl Hybrid Rocket (선회류 하이브리드 로켓의 고체 연료 후퇴율에 관한 연구)

  • Hybrid rocket had many advantage with compared to solid and liquid rockets. In this study, swirl flow hybrid motor was designed and manufactured. And the methods of regression rate improvement wire considered. Thrust was calculated with pressure of the combustion chamber and the regression rate was measured in low flow rate of oxidizer. Several problems and solutions of operating hybrid rocket was presented.

  • 선박의 조타기 작동 신호를 AIS를 통하여 전달함으로써 상대선박의 변침의도를 신속히 파악하여 충돌위험을 피할 수 있는 선회조기감지시스템을 구현하고 실선실험을 통하여 그 실효성을 검증하였다. 또한, 실선실험을 통해 선박의 타각정보가 AIS를 통해 송 수신이 가능하다는 것을 확인하였으며, ECDIS에 표시된 타각정보는 주변선박의 충돌회피에 크게 기여할 것으로 판단된다. 선회조기감지시스템은 선박의 안전운항을 위한 정보 제공의 필요성, 선박 통항량 증가 및 고속화 등으로 인한 위험성 증대로 VTS관제의 역할이 더욱 중요시 되고 있는 상황에서 선박의 조타각이 표시된 해당 시스템을 활용할 경우 변침상황을 보다 신속히 파악할 수 있으므로 관제가 보다 쉬워질 것으로 예상된다. 또한, 선박의 침몰이나 VDR의 소실로 인한 해양사고 분석의 어려움도 AIS를 통한 조타신호가 저장된 해양안전종합정보시스템(GICOMS)의 분석을 통해 다소 해소될 것으로 판단된다.

An Experimental Study on Flow Angle with Swirl in a Horizontal Circular Tube (수평 원통 관에서 선회를 동반한 유동각에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • Flow angle with Swirl in a horizontal circular tube and a cylindrical annuli were experimentally studied for its visualization. This present investigation deals with flow angle, flow visualization studies and vortex core by using oil smoke and a hot wire anemometer for Re = 40,000 and 50000 at X/D = 41, 59 and 71 in a horizontal circular tube. In the swirl air flow, a vortex core was formed at high swirl intensity along the test tube. The flow angle and the vortex core depended on the swirl intensity along the test tube. The results of flow angles with swirl measured by flow visualization and hot wire reasonably agree with those of Sparrow One of the primary objectives of this research was to measure the flow angle with swirl in a cylindrical annuli along the test tube for different Reynolds numbers. The Reynolds number for these measurements ranged from 60,000 to 100,000 with L/D = a to 4.

  • The Twin-fluid Swirl Nozzles are used in many parts of the industry to produce homogeneous spray. This study is to investigate the effects of outer air swiller and inner water swiller on atomization of liquid.. The experiment was carried out with increasing air-flow rate at constant liquid-flow rate and with changing outer air swiller angle and inner water swiller angle. A Particle Dynamics Analyzer(PDA) was used to measure drop size, mean and ms values of axial velocity, number density and Sauter mean diameter(SMD). The axial mean velocity and SMD of droplets were measured along the center line and radial directions. It was found that the higher air flow-rate resulted in the smaller Sauter mean diameter of liquid spray and the higher axial mean velocity of droplets. This experimental results will be conveniently used for the preliminary design stage of twin-fluid nozzle development.

  • An experimental study is performed on the flow characteristics of a swirl-jet diffuser for factory ventilation. Swirl number ranges from 0(nonswirl jet) to 0.6 when the angle of swirl vane is 60 degree. As swirl becomes strong, the maximum velocity in the plane perpendicular to jet axis decreases fast and the uniformity of velocity becomes good, particularly in the ventilated area. The similarity in velocity profiles has been found for axial velocity from even when swirl number equals 0.6. The flow characteristics of the swirl-jet which has the swirl number of 0.6 is thought to be the best among these three swirl numbers for factory ventilation. However, the pressure drop in the diffuser increases as the swirl becomes strong. This should be considered in the design of the total ventilation system including a duct system.

  • 선회조기감지시스템은 조타기-AIS-ECDIS를 통하여 선박 상호간에 조타 상황을 신속히 전달해 주는 시스템을 의미한다. 본 연구에서는 실선실험을 위한 장비구성과 각 단계별로 신호를 추출하고, 추출된 신호를 장비에 실어 송수신하는 하는 내용을 다루고자 한다. 조타기에서는 조타핸들, Autopilot Dial 신호, 그리고 ROT 신호를 NMEA 형식으로 추출하고, 이를 AIS 장비의 특정 또는 다양한 정보영역에 입력하여 송수신하는 방법을 모색한다. 그리고 최종적으로 수신된 AIS 정보를 ECDIS에 표현하는 방법을 제시한다. 이러한 선회조기감지시스템이 구축되면 다양한 실선실험을 통하여 그 성능을 점검할 계획이다.

Outlier(이상치) 분석을 통한 등부표 등부표 효율적 위치 관리 방안 연구

  • Outlier(이상치) 분석을 통한 등부표 선회안전반경 정보 제공에 관한 연구는 AIS 또는 RTU가 설치된 등부표에 대한 이탈 위험 인지, 항해안전 사고 예방 등 안전대책을 강화하기 위한 연구이다. 등부표는 조류, 바람 등 외력에 의해 이출거리가 발생하여 일정한 패턴으로 선회반경이 형성되나 외력으로 인하여 정상범위에서 벗어나 유실, 위치이동 등이 발생할 수 있고 이는 선박추돌 등 항해안전 사고로도 이어질 수 있다. 이러한 등부표 사고는 물적 피해비용과 이용자의 안전운항에 대한 심리적 부담감 또는 위험감수 등의 추가적인 행정소요 비용이 발생할 수 있다. Outlier(이상치)란 외력 등으로 인해 최대 이출거리 이내 정상범위에서 벗어나거나 존재할 수 없는 극단적인 위치 값으로써 21년도 등부표 위치 데이터를 일정 단위 방위별로 분석해 본 결과 Outlier(이상치)가 식별되었다. 따라서 등부표의 안전한 위치 상태를 시스템적으로 모니터링 하기 위해 Outlier(이상치) 분석을 통한 등부표 선회안전반경 정보 제공에 관한 연구를 하였다.

  • This paper contributes to the development of an early detection system to detect the alteration of a target ship during early stages using the steering wheel signal via AIS communication. The feasibility of this system is also verified with a real ship trial. It was confirmed that the rudder angle on ECDIS was ordinarily marked green or red by the used rudder angle after the steering wheel operation. We were able to detect intentions for a change in course by a target ship quickly and efficiently avoid collisions. This system will contribute to more active VTS services and the analysis of marine accidents using the General Information Center On Maritime Safety & Security (GICOMS).

Analytical Study on the Slewing Dynamics of Hybrid Coordinate Systems (복합좌표계 시스템의 선회동역학에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • In this paper, an analytic solution method is proposed to overcome the numerical problems when the slewing dynamics of hybrid coordinate systems is investigated via time finite element analysis. It is shown that the dynamics of the hybrid coordinate systems is governed by the coupled dual differential equations for both slewing and structural modes. Structural modes are transformed into the time-based modal coordinates and analytic spatial propagation equations are derived for each space-dependent time mode. Slew angle history is obtained analytically by appropriate applications of the boundary conditions and structural propagation is re-calculated using the slew angle. Numerical examples are demonstrated to validate the proposed analytic method in comparison to the existing state transition matrix method.
