A Study on the Design of an Acoustic Actuator Based on the Singing Mechanism of Cicadas (매미의 발음 기제를 모사한 음향 발생 장치의 설계에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 매미가 소형이면서도 광대역의 소리를 낼 수 있는 원리가 무엇인지를 파악하고 이중 음향 발생 장치 제작에 적용할 수 있는 요소를 도출하였다. 매미의 발음기관에서 가장 중요한 부분은 복부 공명실과 진동판이다. 복부 공명실은 위상 반전형 인클로져 시스템으로 모델링 할 수 있으며, 진동판은 돔 형태의 박판으로 볼 수 있다. 근육에서 발생된 입력 신호는 진동판의 곡면에 의해 판에 좌굴을 일으켜 높은 음압의 소리를 발생시킨다. 발생된 소리는 복부를 통해 위상이 반전되어 특정 대역이 강조된다. 진동판의 가장 큰 특징은 곡면구조에 의한 비선형적인 출력이며 이를 통하여 가진 주파수와 상이한 주파수 성분들을 효과적으로 발생시키게 된다. 이러한 구조를 음향 발생장치로 활용하기 위하여 단순한 곡면판의 기하학적 파라미터 변화에 따른 출력 변화 경향을 관찰 하였으며, 이러한 원리를 활용한 음향 발생장치를 구성하였다.

Characteristics of Scattered Rays Depending on the Use of a Flattening Filter (선속평탄 여과판 사용 유무에 따른 산란선 특성)

  • This Study aims at measuring scattered rays depending on the use of a flattening filter when radiation is irradiated using a linear accelerator. measurement of the scattered rays, an ionization chamber was used, and the energy of the irradiated radiation was 6 MV and 10 MV. The ionization chamber was located at the spot 15 cm, 25 cm, 35 cm and 45 cm far away from the center of gantry rotation, and the scattered rays were measured according to whether a flattening filter was used or not and to the distance. As the result of investigation of 100 cGy about each energy, when the flattening filter was not used with 6 MV, it occurred at a low level of 65%, and with 10 MV at that of 55%. In other words, it's been concluded that when a flattening filter is not used for radiation dose of the parts around the critical organ, scattered rays generate in a small quantity, and it's a useful way to decrease the stochastic effect of radiation.

Isogeometric Analysis of FG-CNTRC Plate in Bending based on Higher-order Shear Deformation Theory (탄소 나노튜브 보강 기능경사복합재 판의 등기하 거동 해석)

  • Purpose: This study investigates mechanical behavior of functionally graded (FG) carbon nanotube-reinforced composite (CNTRC) plate in flexure. Isogeometric analysis (IGA) method coupled with shear deformable theory of higher-order (HSDT) to analyze the nonlinear bending response is presented. Method: Shear deformable plate theory into which a polynomial shear shape function and the von Karman type geometric nonlinearity are incorporated is used to derive the nonlinear equations of equilibrium for FG-CNTRC plate in bending. The modified Newton-Raphson iteration is adopted to solve the system equations. Result: The dispersion pattern of carbon nanotubes, plate geometric parameter and boundary condition have significant effects on the nonlinear flexural behavior of FG-CNTRC plate. Conclusion: The proposed IGA method coupled with the HSDT can successfully predict the flexural behavior of FG-CNTRC plate.

Buckling Strength of Orthotropic Rectangular Plate with a Longitudinal Stiffener under In-plane Linearly Distributed Loads (면내 선형분포하중을 받는 수평보강재가 설치된 직교이방성판의 좌굴강도)

  • In this study buckling behavior of orthotropic plate with a longitudinal stiffener under in-plane linearly distributed loads is investigated. All edges of plate are assumed to be simply supported and the stiffener is considered as a beam element. For the equation of buckling analysis Rayleigh-Ritz method is employed. The upper limit of the critical stress at various location of stiffener is determined by using Lagrangian multiplier method. Buckling analysis is performed for the various position of stiffener and for the various width ratios between plate and stiffener. The parametric study shows that, when four edges of plate are simply supported, the most effective position for a longitudinal stiffener is at the location of which the upper limit of the stress is the maximum.

Design of leaf spring with high fatigue life applied to horizontal linear vibrating actuator (수평 선형 진동 모터에 적용 가능한 높은 피로 수명을 가진 판 스프링 설계)

  • This paper aims to design the leaf spring of high fatigue life which guides the moving part of the horizontal linear vibrating actuator. The vertical linear vibrating actuator has been used as the vibration device for haptic and alarm function on smart phone. However, the vibrating actuator has a major cause on the limitation to make smart phone slim because of its own characteristic of vertical direction vibration. The horizontally linear vibrating actuator for smart phone slimness has been developed in recent years. One of the most significant parts of horizontal vibrating linear actuator is the guide spring which supports moving part of actuator and enables actuator to vibrate elastically. Various types of leaf springs were designed and analyzed to get the required stiffness with high fatigue life through the stress analysis using commercial structural analysis program, ANSYS. The experiments were performed with prototypes to measure vibration acceleration and life time of leaf spring.

Effects of Corrugated Webs on the Ultimate Behavior of Horizontally Curved I-shaped Girders (파형 복부판이 수평 곡선 I형 거더의 극한 거동에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, the effects of corrugated webs on the ultimate behavior of horizontally curved I-shaped girders are investigated. Because of the geometric characteristics of corrugated plates, corrugated webs can be used for enhancing torsional and warping stiffness of plate girders. Many researches have been conducted to study the effects of corrugated webs on the ultimate behavior of straight girders. But, the studies of the ultimate behavior of horizontally curved girders with corrugated webs, which generally show out-of plane behavior manly, have been rarely performed so far. By performing inelastic-nonlinear analysis, the ultimate behavior of curved girders with corrugated webs is studied in this paper. Laterally unsupported length and subtended angle of girders, and length of height of corrugation of webs are considered as the geometric parameters which would be expected to affect the ultimate behavior. By this analytical study with considering the geometric parameters, the changes of ultimate behavior and load carrying capacity of curved girders with corrugated webs are investigated. Also, the effects of corrugated webs on the increase of load carrying capacity for curved girders are studied with comparing to the capacity of general curved girders with flat webs. According to the analytical results, corrugated webs can be used to increase the ultimate load carrying capacity of curved girders, because of their high torsional and warping stiffness. But, it is also indicated that they may decrease the load carrying capacity of curved girders which have relatively small subtended angle or initial curvature, because of an accordion effect.

A Study on the development of GEOCON for the Geometry Control of Precast Segmetnal Bridges (II) (프리캐스트 세그멘탈 교량의 선형관리를 위한 GEOCON의 개발에 관한 연구(II))

  • 프리캐스트 세그멘탈 교량의 3차원적인 선형관리를 수행할 수 있는 S/W로서 GEOCON이 개발되었다. GEOCON은 기본적으로 제작장에서 세그멘트 제작관리를 통한 선형관리를 실시하고, 그 결과로서 자동적으로 계산되는 제작선형은 가설시 선형관리에 활용된다. 본 논문에서는 실제 현장에서 나타날 수 있는 검측오차등으로 인하여 수치계산상으로는 마치 정확한 선형관리가 이루어지는 것으로 나타날 수 있는 상황들을 방지하기 위해 GEOCON에서 채택하고 있는 기술적인 특징들에 대하여 논하고 있다. 또한 실제 현장적용을 통하여 GEOCON의 효용성을 검증하였다. GEOCON을 통하여 선형관리된 부산항 배후도로 현장은 총 길이 2109m의 프리캐스트 세그멘탈 교량구간을 포함하고 있으며 고임판의 사용없이 허용 관리치 내에서 매우 정확한 선형관리가 이루어졌다.
