Incorporating Genetic Operators into Optimizing Highway Alignments (도로선형최적화를 위한 유전자 연산자의 적용)

  • This study analyzes characteristics and applicability of genetic algorithms and genetic operators to optimize highway alignments. Genetic algorithms, one of artificial intelligence techniques, are fast and efficient search algorithms for generating, evaluation and finding optimal highway alignment alternatives. The performance of genetic algorithms as an optimal search tool highly depends on genetic operators that are designed as a problem-specific. This study adopts low mutation operators(uniform mutation operator, straight mutation operator, non-uniform mutation operator whole non-uniform mutation operator) to explore whole search spaces, and four crossover operators(simple crossover operator, two-point crossover operator, arithmetic crossover operator, heuristic crossover operator) to exploit food characteristics of the best chromosome in previous generations. A case study and a sensitivity analysis have shown that the eight problem-specific operators developed for optimizing highway alignments enhance the search performance of genetic algorithms, and find good solutions(highway alignment alternatives). It has been also found that a mixed and well-combined use of mutation and crossover operators is very important to balance between pre-matured solutions when employing more crossover operators and more computation time when adopting more mutation operators.

  • 선형보존자 문제들은 행렬들로 구성되는 벡터공간들 사이에서 어떤 함수, 부분집합, 관계 등을 불변하게 옮기는 선형연산자의 형태를 규명하고 그와 동치가 되는 조건들을 찾는 연구주제들을 말한다. 이 논문에서는 선형보존자 문제에 대한 전반적인 연구문제들과 연구의 동기와 원인들, 활발한 연구주제들, 연구방법들 및 앞으로의 연구방향에 대하여 요약한다.

Analysis on the Regularization Parameter in Image Restoration (영상복원에서의 정칙화 연산자 분석)

  • The Laplacian operator is usually used as a regularization operator which may be used as any differential operator in the regularization iterative restoration. In this paper, several kinds of differential operator and 1-H operator that has been used in our lab as well, as a regularization operator, were compared with each other. In the restoration of noisy motion-blurred images, 1-H operator worked better than Laplacian operator in flat region, but in the edge the Laplacian operator operated better. For noisy gaussian-blurred image, 1-H operator worked better in the edge, while in flat region the Laplacian operator resulted better. In regularization, smoothing the noise and resorting the edges should be considered at the same time, so the regions divided into the flat, the middle, and the detailed, which were processed in separate and compared their MSE. Laplacian and 1-H operator showed to be suitable as the regularization operator, while the other differential operators appeared to be diverged as iterations proceeded.

  • This paper proposed noise insensitive 4*4 mid frequency-OCT (MF-DCT) focus measure operator. Proposed operator enhanced low power 8*8 MDCT operator to have 4*4 rotationally same form for Gaussian noise. MF-DCT operator acting like band-pass filter suppresses both low-frequency signal useless for focus measure and high-frequency signal affected by impulsive noise. Also it is proved to be linear because it uses the energy of band-pass filtered signal as focus measure. Experimental result shows its superiority by comparing AUM with traditional operators.

  • In this paper, we present a new interpolation scheme for image enhancement using nonlinear operator. In general, interpolation techniques are based on linear operators which are essentially lowpass filters, hence, they tend to blur fine details in the original image. In our approach, the operator itself balances the strength of its sharpening and noise suppressing components according to the properties of the input image data.

  • This paper addresses an intelligent digital redesign (IDR) technique for observer-based output-feedback control systems, in order to efficiently convert a pre-designed Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model-based analog controller into a sampled-data one in the sense of state matching. A delta operator is used to get an asymptotic relation between the analog and the sampled-data control systems. The IDR problem is viewed as a minimization problem of the norm distances between linear operator to be matched. The condition is represented as linear matrix inequalities, and the separation principle on the IDR is shown.

  • A DCT-based energy-ratio measure for autofocus in digital camera is proposed in this paper. This measure, namely AC2DC1 and AC5DC1, determines the sharpness of an image using a ratio between AC and DC energy in the DCT domain. This method is derived from energy analysis of DCT coefficients. Autofocus score calculation method is used to assess the performance of the proposed measure and to compare it with other measures. Experimental results under various conditions verify the robustness of the proposed focus measure for the Gaussian as well as impulsive noises.

  • In the restoration of degraded noisy motion blurred image, we have trade-off problem between smoothing the noise and restoration of the edge region. While the noise is smoothed, die edge or details will be corrupted. On the other hand, restoring the edge will amplify the noise. To solve this problem we propose an adaptive algorithm which uses I- H regularization operator for flat region and Laplacian regularization operator for edge region. Through the experiments, we verify that the proposed method shows better results in the suppression of the noise amplification in flat region, introducing less ringing artifacts in edge region and better ISNR than those of the conventional ones.

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로프로그램을 위한 테스트 데이타를 자동으로 생성하는 시스템을 제안하였다. 이 시스템에서는 주어진 경로를 따라 마이크로프로그램을 기호수행(symbolic execution)시켜 경로조건식을 구하고 이 식를 풀어서 테스트 데이타를 생성한다. 기호수행 방법을 이용하여 테스트 데이타를 생성하기 위해서는 경로조건식이 선형이어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 마이크로프로그램의 테스트 데이타를 생성하기 위하여 마이크로프로그램에서 사용되는 연산자들을 선형 연산자로 변환하는 방법을 제안하였다. Abstract In this paper, we propose an automated test data generation system for microprogram. This system symbolically executes microprogram along a given path, extracts path conditions for the given path, and generates test data by solving the path conditions. To generate test data using symbolic execution, the path conditions must be linear. Therefore, we propose a linearization method which transforms operators used in the microprogram into linear operators.
