Analysis of Thermal Characteristics by Poor Contacts at the Connection Parts of DC Power Appliances (DC 전원설비 접속부에서의 접촉불량에 의한 발열특성 분석)

  • 본 논문에서는 DC전원설비 접속부에서의 접촉불량에 의한 발열 특성에 대하여 실험, 분석하였으며 사용된 DC 전원설비는 상용 교류전원을 직류전원으로 변환하는 AC/DC 컨버터의 출력전원을 이용하는 LED 가로등 조명설비의 전원 접속부을 대상으로 하였다. 외부의 기계적 진동에 의해 동전선 접속부에 아크와 열이 발생하며 이때 발생한 발열 온도와 열 분포를 측정하였으며 적열부가 형성된 후 25분이 경과하였을 때 최고 $842.68^{\circ}C$까지 온도가 상승하였으며 접속부의 접촉전압은 1.5~1.6V, 통전전류는 6.6~6.9A로 약간의 변화만 나타남을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 DC전원에서 동전선 접속부에서의 산화물 생성과 증식 거동에 대하여 분석하였으며 AC전원에서와 유사하게 산화물이 형성되어 성장함을 볼 수 있었다. 이러한 실험과 분석 결과는 향후, DC 전원설비에서의 전기화재 예방을 위한 자료로 활용 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

Analysis of RF Inductive Couplers for Power Line Communication (전력선 통신의 RF 유도형 결합기 해석)

  • We investigated the structure of inductive coupler and its magnetic coupling to increase the transmission coefficient for power line communication. A Rogowski coil, which is an air-cored inductive coupler, and a magnetic cored coupler were fabricated to analyze the transmission coefficient for different coupler parameters. This paper proposes the impedance matching method using lumped elements and an impedance transformer to increase the transmission coefficient. In the experiment, the transmission coefficient of the proposed system was increased in both narrowband and broadband cases, and a trade-off between the transmission coefficient and the bandwidth was shown. This method will be useful for the further study of impedance matching with the load variation.

  • 비정질 합금재료와 페라이트를 사용하여 비접촉식 커플러를 제조하여 각각의 재료가 적용가능한 범위를 규명하고자 하였다. 비정질 합금재료에 비해 페라이트는 안정적인 특성을 발휘하는 주파수 대역이 좁으며, 낮은 포화자속밀도로 인해 내전류 특성이 떨어졌다. 즉 페라이트는 20 MHz 이하의 주파수 대역과 비정질 재료가 적용되는 선로보다 유입전류가 낮은 전력선에 적용 가능할 것으로 보인다.

  • The catenary of a high-speed electrical train is modeled by the finite elements with the upper suspension wire, lower contact wire, and droppers, and the dynamic contact between the catenary and the pantograph is numerically analyzed by solving the whole equations of motion of the pantograph and the catenary system subjected to the contact condition. For the stability of the numerical solution, with the cubic spline interpolation of the catenary displacement, the velocity and acceleration constraints as well as the displacement constraint are imposed on the contact point. Through the various numerical examples, it is shown that the dropper positions as well as the static deflection are crucial to determine the contact and separation of the pantograph of a high-speed train.

  • 배전 계통을 대상으로 하는 통신 시스템에 전력통신(PLC : Power Line Communication)기술을 적용하고자 할 때, 고압 배전선의 통신 채널로서의 특성 분석이 근간이 되어야 한다. 일반적으로 지하 공동구의 배전 지중 케이블에는 케이블-케이블 간의 전기적, 물리적 접촉점인 접속 개소가 일정한 간격으로 존재하게 된다. 그러므로 통신 신호의 매개체가 되는 전력 케이블의 채널 특성 분석에는 케이블 접속 개소의 영향도 고려 대상이 되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 서울시 광진구 일부의 부하를 담당하고 있는 22.9 kV 고압 배전 지중 선로를 시험 선로로 비접촉식 커플러를 통해 통신 신호를 전송하여 삽입 손실 측정 결과를 보았고 케이블 접속 개소의 영향을 주파수 영역에서 채널 특성을 통해 분석 하였다. 시험 결과 케이블 접속 개소를 통과할 때 채널 특성은 십여 dB의 신호 감쇄를 보였다.

  • Applying the conjugate contact condition, contact lines of a cylindrical worm gear has been calculated. The characteristics of tooth contact were analyzed and the pitting resistance were also assessed. It has been verified that: i) the length of contact is shortest on the 1st tooth of the front region, ii) the contact region is more narrow in the recess side than in the access side, iii) the contact region is more narrow in worm than in worm wheel. Hence, the pitting resistance is weakest in the recess side of the 1st contacting worm tooth.

  • The Korean High Speed Train(KHST) had been developed and evaluating on the Kyoung-Bu High Speed Line by through 'G7-R&D project'. In order to evaluate the function and characteristics of high speed train system, various experimental conditions have been considered and conducted. In this paper, current collection characteristics of KHST between pantograph and catenary system and dynamic behaviors are measured and analysed over 300 to 350km/h in running speed of KHST. A measuring system which was developed and installed on the Korean High Speed Train for the performance and mechanical characteristics of the KHST pantograph is used for this trial running test and we proofed that KHST has a remarkable and stable current collection characteristics as it had been designed.

  • The conventional analysis for the numerical computation of fluid film thickness with elastic deformation of contact region. is performed by Newton-Rephson method for its 18st convergence characteristics. However, both high load and relatively low sliding velocity frequently make it impossible for Newton-Rahpson method to get both converged and stable solutions. In particular, this method cannot provide converged Solution under the condition of high load above 1.0 GPa which frequently occurs in line contact of EHL problem. Multigird multi-level method for the solver of non-linear partial differential equation including solid deformation is preferred to Newton-Rshpson method for better convergence and stability and is applied to line contact EHL behavior in this study.

  • A new method of dynamic contact force measurement between a pantograph and a contact wire is proposed in this paper The method does not require design modification of an original pantograph in order to install sensors such as load cells. Contact forces can be expressed as the sum of vertical shear forces at the support points and inertial forces. Using specially-designed strain gage rosettes. vertical shear forces at the supported points can be measured without noise mixing and thermal effects. In order to obtain contact forces from shear forces, 3 inertial force compansation methods are proposed and compared in this paper. By validation process, the new proposed measurement method is verified to be applicable to the on-line current collection test.
