Multivariate GARCH models are interested in conditional variances (volatilities) as well as conditional correlations between return time series. This paper is concerned with high-frequency multivariate financial time series from which realized volatilities and realized conditional correlations of intra-day returns are calculated. Existing multivariate GARCH models are reviewed comparatively with the realized volatility via canonical correlations and value at risk (VaR). Korean stock prices are analysed for illustration.

항만이나 항로에서의 심층적인 선박운항 안전성 평가를 위한 목적으로 주로 선박운항 시뮬레이션 시스템이 사용되고 있다. 하지만, 실제해상에서 선박이 조우할 수 있는 환경 조건은 매우 다양한 반면, 비용이나 시간적인 제약으로 인하여 실시간 선박운항 시뮬레이션은 극히 한정 된 경우에 대해서만 수행되는 것이 일반적이다. 본 논문에서는, 이러한 실시간 시뮬레이션 실험 조건을 효과적이고 체계적으로 도출하기 위한 통계적 기법에 대하여 제안하고, 이 기법을 실제 선박 운항 안전성 평가를 위한 시뮬레이션 연구에 적용한 실증 분석 결과를 사례 연구로 기술하였다. 실증 분석에는 주성분을 이용한 종합 운항 난이도 산정 방법과 누적 확률분포 개념을 이용하여 선박 운항 난이도가 높은 실험 조건을 실시간 시뮬레이션 실험 조건으로 선택하는 기법을 제시하였다.

내용기반 이미지 검색을 하기 위해서는 이미지에 대한 내용정보가 필요하며, 이러한 내용정보간에는 상호 연관성이 존재한다. XML(eXtensible Markup Language)은 내용정보간의 상호연관성을 표현하기에 적절하므로 본 논문에서는 이미지 내용정보를 구조화하기 위한 방법으로 XML을 사용하였다. 또한 이미지는 눈에 보이는 객체의 시각적인 특징과 이미지 전테가 내포하는 시술적인 의미도 가지므로, 이러한 이미지의 특성에 따라 내용정보의 구조도 객체의 시각적 특징 중심의 모델링과 의미 중심의 모델링으로 구분하여 XML 문서 구조를 모델링 하였다. 구조화된 모델들 간의 객체지향 특성을 이용하여 XML 데이터 서버인 eXcelon에 통합하고, 이를 XQL(XML Query Language)에 의하여 질의해 냄으로써 검색 구간에 제약을 가하고 이를 통하여 더욱 효과적인 검색을 지원하도록 한다. 검색되어진 XML 문서 구조는 XSL(extensible StyleSheets Language)의 적용을 통하여 쉬운 형태로 웹 브라우저 상에 출력하도록 한다. 마지막으로 본 논문에서 제안한 모댈링의 효율성을 검증하기 위하여, 웹 상에서 이미지 내용정보의 상호 연관성에 기반 하여 원하는 이미지를 검색할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하였다.

공개자원운동의 일환으로 등장한 OER, OCW 컨텐츠를 정보자원으로서 관리해야 할 필요성이 커지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 국내 대학도서관 OER 현황분석을 하고자 한다. 이를 위해 성균관대학교, 숙명여자대학교, 부산대학교를 분석대상으로 선정하였으며, 컨텐츠 및 컨텐츠 품질, 홍보, 플랫폼 세 항목을 기준으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, OER을 정보자원으로서 체계적으로 수집 관리해야 할 대상으로 보고 있지 않았다. 둘째, OER 서비스 활성화를 위해 적극적으로 홍보가 이루어지지 않고 있었다. 셋째, 이용자들이 참여할 수 있는 OER 플랫폼은 구축되어 있으나 이용자들이 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 수준이라 보기 어려웠다. 이에 대한 해결 방안을 모색하여 대학도서관이 교내정보자원의 통합관리기관으로서 역할제고 방안에 대해 고찰하는 것에 의의가 있다.

News Impact Curves(NIC) developed by Engle and Ng (1993) have been useful for graphically representing the volatilities arising from financial time series. Adding an improvement and refinement to the original NIC, this article proposes so called two dimensional NIC and principal component NIC. We illustrate the methodology via Kosdaq data.

This study is on the aesthetic characteristics of Balenciaga design succeeded to by Nicolas Ghesquiere, and tried to understand his pursuing brand's new design concept and aesthetics. The three key characteristics of Balenciaga designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere are Retrospecitvness, Eclecticism, Deconstruciton. First, Balenciaga looks retrospective sense through reinterpreting tradition. Nicolas created a new sense of expression by mixing his proper instinct with Balenciaga's original properties, historical components of the past western dress, and various design elements of assistants who used to work in Balenciaga. Second, Balenciaga expresses uncertain meaning by compromising between contrast and synthesis among the past and the future, the males and the females, simple and ornament, or different styles. Third, Nicolas's experimental and outsider-oriented view of Deconstruction through reorienting of thought is considered a try for a new formative concept as a designer who is not limited by general rules.

Zero-inflation has recently attracted much attention in integer-valued time series. This article deals with conditional variance (volatility) modeling for the zero-inflated count time series. We incorporate zero-inflation property into integer-valued GARCH (INGARCH) via conditional Poisson and negative binomial marginals. The Cholera frequency time series is analyzed as a data application. Estimation is carried out using EM-algorithm as suggested by Zhu (2012).

육상으로부터 다양한 고급 정보를 전달 받아서 항해의 안전성과 효율성을 높이는 항해지원 기술의 필요성이 제기되고 있고, 이러한 맥락에서 e-navigation에서도 육상-선교간 정보 교환을 토대로 항해 관련 정보를 주고 받는 기술에 대해 강조하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실시간 항행정보시스템의 구축을 위한 요소 기술 개발 단계에서 개발된 교통정보 및 사고정보 모듈을 실선에 탑재하여 실해역 시험을 수행하고, 실해역 시험 결과를 통해 파악된 문제점을 분석하여 향후 실시간 항행정보시스템의 구축 방향을 정비할 수 있는 방안을 마련하였다. 실험 결과, 육상과 선교간 통신 인프라의 한계를 체감하였으며, 실시간 항행정보시스템에서 육상-선교간 정보 컨텐츠 뿐만 아니라, 제한된 통신 인프라에서의 정보 교환 방법에 대한 적극적인 해결 방안이 마련되어야할 필요성을 인지하였다.

웹 자원의 휘발성에 대한 불안에도 불구하고 학술정보 유통의 거대한 통로로 웹이 부상함에 따라 웹상에 존재하는 정보자원들이 학술정보의 재생산에 활용되어 왔다. 이에 본 연구는 학술정보에 인용된 웹 자원의 현황을 살펴보고 그것의 접근성과 유용성이 어느 정도 보장되는지를 살펴보기 위해 문헌정보학 분야의 대표적인 학술지 중 하나인 한국문헌정보학회지를 대상으로, 2007년에서 2011년까지 5년간 수록된 논문에 인용된 웹 자원을 조사.분석하였다. 본 연구를 위해 수록된 논문들의 참고문헌 중 웹 자원 비율, 현시점에서의 웹 자원의 접근 가능성, 그리고 웹 자원 주소를 분석하여 도메인과 파일 각각의 비율과 종류에 대해서 조사하였다. 또한 표기된 웹 자원의 주소는 아니더라도 인용에서 사용한 정보를 통해 웹상에서 여전히 사용가능한지를 살펴보기 위해 세계 3대 검색엔진을 사용하였다.

A hamartoma can be defined as a developmental malformation composed of tissue that normally constitute the organ in which the tumor occurs, but in which the tissue elements, although mature, are disorganized. Hamartoma is one of the most common benign lung tumors. Most of them are located in the lung parenchyme, but very rarely it can originate endobronchially. There is no case report of multiple endobronchial hamartomas in Korea. We report a case of multiple endobronchial hamartomas in a 63 year old woman with a review of the literatures.
