  • This paper introduces the design of detection, recognition, and tracking algorithms for VTS radar image-based objects. The detection of objects in radar images utilizes artificial intelligence technology to determine the presence or absence of objects, and can classify the type of object using AI technology. Tracking involves the continuous tracking of detected objects over time, including technology to prevent confusion in the movement path. In particular, for land-based radar, there are unnecessary areas for detection depending on the terrain, so the function of detecting and recognizing vessels within the region of interest (ROI) set in the radar image is included. In addition, the extracted coordinate information is designed to enable various applications and interpretations by calculating speed, direction, etc.

  • In order to implement the autonomous navigation function, it is essential to track an object within a certain radius of the ship's route. This paper proposes the Multiple Probabilistic Data Association Filter (MPDAF), which can track multiple ships by extending Probabilistic Data Association Filter (PDAF), an existing single object tracking algorithm, using radar data obtained from real marine environments. The proposed MPDAF algorithm was developed to address the problem of tracking multiple objects in a complex environment where there can be significant uncertainty in the number and identification of objects to be tracked. Using real-world radar data provided by the German aerospace center (DLR), it has been verified that the proposed algorithm can track a large number of objects with a small position error.

  • 본 연구는 전보에서 개발한 RTX에 대한 응용 연구의 하나로써 레이더 영상 신호의 수록 및 해석에 부가하여 타선의 GPS 위치정보를 수신하여 자선의 전자해도(ENC) 및 radar 화면상에서 동시에 표시함으로써 이들 두 선박의 간격을 측정할 수 있는 선간거리계, 또한, 타선의 ARPA radar가 탐지한 영상신호, 타선의 기동정보(own ship data, OSD) 및 추적표적의 정보(tracked target message, TTM) 등을 자선의 레이더나 전자해도 화면상에서 실시간으로 모니터링하는 software를 개발하고, 이들의 레이더 정보를 필요에 따라 hard disk에 수록 및 재생할 수 있는 아주 간편하면서도 범용성이 있는 레이더 정보수록 및 해석 시스템을 개발하였다.   • This paper describes on development of integrated interface and applications to support stable digital data communication service for small and midium sized crafts exploiting SSB modems and HF wireless sets. Firstly, integrated interface module between GPS (Global Positioning System) and communication devices was developed. Secondly, maritime map was implemented into a display terminal to provide location tracking service and voyage planning function. In addition, condition monitoring service of crafts and fishing report functions as well as alarm functions were developed to support secure fishery. Results of performance measure on developed application services shows that error rate was less than 3% and communication delay was shorter than 1 second when a message length was less than 1 Kbyte along with one-to-many communication type.

  • 진해 용원 인근 해역은 부산신항 개발사업으로 추진된 북컨테이너부두 조성사업 및 항만 배후 단지 조성사업으로 전면 해역이 매립되어 원활한 해수흐름이 차단되었고, 인공적인 해양구조물 및 시설물로 인해 해안선 지형 및 단면 변화가 발생하고 이로 인해 수역의 해수순환이 점진적으로 변화하는 지역이다. 인근 어판장으로의 선박의 출입이 차단되면서 발생된 민원으로 인해 송정천 하구 지점의 북쪽 통로를 이용한 선박이동만이 가능한 좁고 긴 수로형태를 가진 폐쇄성 수역으로 변형되었다. 한국에서는 찾아볼 수 없는 이례적인 형태의 용원수로는 폐쇄성 수역이 형성되면서 수로 내로 유입되는 오염물질은 수로 내에 체류되어 수질을 악화시킬 수 있다. 이러한 폐쇄성 수역이 형성되면서 발생하는 다양한 수질영향을 장기간 평가하는 것은 매우 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 용원수로의 시 공간적인 수질변동 양상을 분석하기 위해 2003년부터 2017년까지 선정된 수질측정 지점에서의 주요수질항목에 대한 수질분석을 실시하였으며, 용원수로로 유입되는 토구를 전수조사하고, 비강우시 및 강우시 토구 모니터링을 통해 육상에서 기인하는 오염원을 분석하였다. 또한, 용원수로 내에 유입된 오염물질 거동 분석을 위해 추적자 실험을 통해 용원수로로 유입된 오염원 거동을 예측하여 용원수로의 수질변화 분석에 대한 연구를 실시하였다.

  • In preperation for the compulsory installation of VHF(Very High Frequency) wireless equipment and fishing vessel automatic identification system according to the revision of "The Ships Safety Act" and "Fishing Vessel act", Fishery Information & Communication Department of National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives is building VHF communication network and automatic identification system for fishing vessel monitoring. This study suggests the protocol analysis for the calling of location requirement using DSC(Digital Selective Calling) function and show best way for fishing vessel automatic identification system. Also, it suggest way to realize fishing vessel monitoring system.

  • Maritime back-up navigation system in port approach requires a horizontal accuracy of 10 meters in IALA (International Association of Lighthouse Authorities) recommendations. eLoran which is a best back-up navigation system that satisfies accuracy requirement has poor navigation performance depending signal environments. Especially, noise caused by multipath and electronic devices around eLoran antenna affects navigation performance. In this paper, Ship based Navigation Back-up system using UAV on Interference is designed to satisfy horizontal accuracy requirement. To improve the eLoran signal environment, UAVs are equipped with camera, IMU sensor and eLoran antenna and receivers. This proposed system is designed to receive eLoran signal through UAV-based receiver and control UAV's position and attitude within Landmark around area. The ship-based positioning using eLoran signal, vision and attitude information received from UAV satisfy resilient and robust navigation requirements.

  • In accordance with global decarbonization, optimization and productivity improvement using digital twin are being sought, and software development for optimizing ship and marine energy operation is accelerating by selecting digital twin as a future core technology. In order to reduce the operating cost of ships and strengthen the competitiveness of the shipbuilding industry due to the international strengthening of regulations on carbon emissions, it is necessary to predict the carbon emission of ships in advance and provide a carbon reduction operation solution. A plan was carried out for the development of open digital platform technology and the establishment of an environment to support the securing of carbon transparency of the ship and offshore system.

  • The purpose in having a control surface on a ship is to control the motion of the ship. The control surface may be composed entirely of a single movable surface or of a combination of fixed and movable portion A control surface has one sole function to perform in meeting its purpose, and that is to develop a control force in consequence of its orientation and movement relative to the water. The forces and moments generated as a result of this rotation and angle of attack then determine the maneuvering characteristics of the ship. In this paper the study of flapped rudder's 2-dimensional section was accomplished. Model tests had been carried out with different angles of attack of a main foil and flap's deflection angles to predict the performance of the flapped rudder and the 2 frame particle tracking method had been used to obtain the velocity distribution in the flow field $Re=2.8\times10^4$ had been used during the whole experiments and measured results had been compared with each other.
