Recognition of Hatched-Area from Region Information of Object and Vectorized Interpretation Lines (객체의 영역 정보와 벡터화된 설명선으로부터 해칭 영역의 인식)

  • In this paper, we propose a method that recognize hatched area based on segmentation and vectorization of a machine drawing. This recogntion of hatched area is composed of three parts. First, the proposed method segments an object, arrowheads and interpretation lines from the machine drawing and vectorizes the object and interpretation lines. Second, closed-loops are labeled with the vectorized objects, and then candidates of hatched areas arc determined. Finally, by recognizing hatched lines included in hatched areas, recognition of the hatched areas is completed. The proposed method is more useful in extracting and recognizing the hatched areas.

8-port Coupled Transmission Line Modeling of KSATR ICRF Antenna and Comparison with Measurement (커플링이 고려된 KSTAR ICRF 안테나의 8포트 전송선 회로 모델링 및 측정 결과 비교)

  • It is very important to predict and analyze the change of voltage and current distribution of current strap, abnormal voltage distribution of transmission line and resonance phenomenon by coupling between current straps for more stable operation of ICRF system. In this study, to understand those phenomena by coupling, 8-port coupled transmission line model is completed by appling S-parameter measured in the prototype KSTAR ICRF antenna to the model. The determined self-inductance, mutual-inductance and capacitance of antenna straps are shown to be lower than that calculated from 2D approximate model due to finite length of strap. The coupled transmission line model of current strap will be utilized to the operation of ICRF system of KSTAR in the future.

  • This paper presents data-driven thermal protection algorithm for preventing overheating of automotive sunroof motor. When a sunroof motor operates abnormally, its coil is overheated and it is failed. Besides, drivers and passengers are damaged. Hence, the sunroof motor observes its temperature and will be stoped when its temperature reach a predefined level. In order to implement low-cost thermal protection function, we drew a knowledge-based temperature increasing and decreasing curve from the result of experimental test. And then, we implemented data-driven thermal protection algorithm which prevents motor's On/Off operation according to motor operating voltage and motor speed. Finally, we implemented experimental test bed and evaluated its feasibility.

  • Sunroof tracks are manufactured by press-forming extruded aluminum sheets. During press forming, cracking occurs along the sharply bent edge. The final positions of the punch and die were measured on the section, and their relation to cracking was investigated. Finite element simulation of bending to the final position was done to find the critical strains. Three-point bending tests with different material orientations, hardnesses, bending edge lengths, and bending radii were carried out in the laboratory, and finite element simulation of the three-point bending tests was performed to find the critical strains.

  • In this paper, short-range underwater wireless communication technique using visible LEDs is proposed. As an alternative to conventional acoustic system, visible LED communications show high quality and high speed data transmission characteristics. We design a frequency modulation-based optical wireless audio transmission system. The CD4046B phase-locked loop device is applied to implement the frequency modulation and demodulation. With a transmission modulation of 100 kHz, audio signal has successfully received at a transmission distance of 30 cm.

  • This paper presents the design of a Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave(FMCW) radar altimeter with wide altitude range and low measurement errors. Wide altitude range is achieved by employing the optic delay in the transmitting path to reduce the dynamic range of measuring altitude. Transmitting power and receiver gain are also controlled to have the dynamic range of the received power be reduced. In addition, low measurement errors are obtained by improving the sweep linearity using the Direct Digital Synthesizer(DDS) and minimizing the phase noise employing the reference clock(Ref_CLK) as the offset frequency of the Phase Locked Loop(PLL).

  • A software-driven real-time frequency de-modulator is implemented with the aid of universal-serial-bus (USB) type software defined radio dongle. An analog stereo frequency modulation (FM) broadcast signal is down-converted to the basedband analog signal then converted to digital bit streams in the USB dongle. Computer software such as Matlab, Python, and GNU Radio manipulates the incoming bit streams with the technique of digital signal processing. Low pass filtering, band pass filtering, decimation, frequency discriminator, double sideband amplitude demodulation, phase locked loop, and deemphasis function blocks are implemented using such computer languages. Especially, GNU Radion is employed to realize the real-time demodulator.

  • Recently, due to the aging of workers and the weakening of the labor base in the automobile industry, research on quality inspection methods through ICT(Information and Communication Technology) convergence is being actively conducted. A lot of research has already been done on the development of an automated system for quality inspection in the manufacturing process using image processing. However, there is a limit to detecting defects occurring in the automotive sunroof sealer application process, which is the subject of this study, only by image processing using a general camera. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a system construction method that collects image information using a infrared thermal imaging camera for the sunroof sealer application process and detects possible product defects based on the SVM(Support Vector Machine) algorithm. The proposed system construction method was actually tested and applied to auto parts makers equipped with the sunroof sealer application process, and as a result, the superiority, reliability, and field applicability of the proposed method were proven.

  • The interaction of magnetic field in the frequency range of 9~150 kHz radiating from a railway system with wireless systems has been the cause of radio frequency interference. In this paper, the equivalent circuit model of the RFI noise is proposed through source and transfer path analysis, and it is confirmed that the switching noise of several kHz that occurs a vehicle traction drive system and a substation is radiated by forming the loop circuit with a feeder line by a rolling stock. And the validity of the proposed equivalent circuit model is verified by analyzing the effects of RC banks installed in the real railway between Guri and Guksu stations, the RFI noise can be effectively mitigated by loading suitable capacitance between rail and feeding line.

  • ABR서비스는 ATM 망의 이용률을 증대시키고, 매우 버스트한 트래픽 응용을 지원하기위해 설계되었다. ATM 포럼에서는 망에서 소스의 셀 전송률을 조절하고 셀 손실을 최소화하기 위한 ABR 서비스 표준으로 폐쇄루프와 전송률기반의 폭주 제어 알고리즘을 채택하였다. 이러한 폭주 제어 알고리즘 중에서 대표적인 것이 ERIVCA(Explicit Rare Indication for Congestion Avoidance) 이다. 본 논문에서는 ERIVCA 의 견고성, 공평성 LAN/WAN 환경에 대해서 성능을 시험하고. 그 결과로 성능을 향상시키기 위해 개선된 최대-최소 구조를 제공한다. 또한 제안된 구조에 대한 시뮬레이션을 하여 기존 ERIVCA 알고리즘의 성능과 비교 분석한다.
