Steady-state and Transient Performance Simulation and Limit Control for Compressor Surge and Turbine Over-temperature of Turboprop Engine (PT6A-62) (터보프롭 엔진(PT6A-62)의 동.정적 성능모사와 압축기 서지 및 터빈 자온 제어연구)

  • The steady-state and transient performance simulation program for a turboprop engine(PT6A-62) was developed. Specially this program included some algorithms, such as flat-rated behaviors in performance and limit control algorithms to prevent the compressor surge and the compressor-turbine inlet limit temperature overshoot. In order to minimize analysis errors, on interpolation method in component characteristics using matching errors and specific heat and specific heat ratio, which are functions of temperatures were used. The developed steady state performance analysis program can handle various conditions such as altitude, bleed extraction, inlet temperature and pressure and part throttle, and the transient performance analysis program incorporated a general mode for transient simulation and a control mode for prevention of the compressor surge and the turbine inlet limit temperature overshoot.

  • Surge phenomenon can be occurred in a compressor when the performance of turbofan engine for an aircraft is changed considerably such as take-off phase. This study is aimed to avoid surge phenomenon. This paper propose the PID and Fuzzy control System for the turbofan engine with control inputs, the VIGV(Variable Inlet Guide Vane) in closed loop, and the fuel mass flow in open loop. We design the Dynamic modeling, NPSS S-function, which is connection block of simulink between NPSS(Engine analysis program) and Simulink. Finally, we certify the performance to prevent a serge phenomenon in the VIGV control system using the both methods, PID and fuzzy.

  • This paper reports a Surge Protective Device (SPD) that is used to protect an automatic metering interface (AMI) power supplies of communication equipment on a low-voltage distribution system from a lightning current. The surge protective device (SPD) can be classified as one-port SPDs and two-port SPDs with decoupling elements depending on the connection type. The protection of internal systems against the lightning current may require a systematic approach consisting of coordinated SPDs. To deal with this, the definition of a lightning protection zone (LPZ) was studied and interpreted through a theoretical review. Because the lightning current resulting from a lightning surge is considerably high, there is limited protection from one SPD; therefore, coordinated cascaded MOV-based SPDs are installed to solve this problem. Regarding the power grid mentioned in this paper, a class II SPD for the low-voltage distribution system installed on the border of LPZ1 and LPZ2, which establish a protection coordination with the Arrester (LA, SA) that corresponds to the LPZO installed on the MOF stage connected to one system were designed to protect various communication (control) equipment, including the automatic meter reading system inside the branch-type electric supply panel of a building, not the incoming side of one system. In addition, performance-related tests were done by a comparison with the existing method through testing, and the optimal design was achieved for the 1-port SPD that uses a series connection and can bleed load current without any decoupling element.

  • Many factors play a role in designing the interface for bibliographic data entry system in response to the various needs. Among the major variables to be considered are planning, record format screen design, automatic generation of access points, error chocking, download from bibliographic databases, character codes, card catalog production, and use of authority data. This paper described with examples how these design considerations can be implemented in empirical system.

  • 전력계통에서 과전압이 발생할 경우 보호 장치들의 트립이 발생하거나 기기들의 영구적인 손상을 가져 올 수 있다. 특히 낙뢰에 의한 뇌 서지는 여러 과전압 중 가장 큰 크기를 가지며, 절연 설계 등에 대해 매우 중요한 현상이다. 특히, 발전기 및 주변압기가 연계된 계통에서의 뇌 서지는 피뢰기의 위치 선정, 각종 제어 회로에의 영향 등의 관점에서 검토되어야 할 대상이다. 본 논문에서는 과도해석 프로그램인 EMTP-RV를 이용하여 발전소 및 주변압기 연계 계통을 모델링하고, 낙뢰에 의한 과전압이 송전선로에 발생하였을 때 발전기 및 주변압기연계 계통에서 어떻게 영향을 미치는지 모의하고 분석하였다.

  • In this paper, controller Propose to prevent compressor surge and improve the transient response of the fuel flow control system of turbojet engine. Turbojet engine controller is designed by applying Artificial Neural Network PID control algorithm and make an inference by applying Artificial Neural Network Error Back Propagation Algorithm. To prevent any surge or a flame out event during the engine acceleration or deceleration, the ANN PID controller effectively controls the fuel flow input of the control system. ANN PID results are used as the fuel flow control inputs to prevent compressor surge and flame-out for turbo-jet engine and the controller is designed to converge to the desired speed quickly and safely. Using MATLAB to perform computer simulations verified the performance of the proposed controller. Response characteristics pursuant to the gain were analyzed by simulation.

  • In this paper, proposed controller preventing compressor surge and reducing the acceleration time of the fuel flow control system for turbo-jet engine. Turbo-jet engine controller is designed by applying fuzzy PID control algorithm and high-gain observer. Observer is used to estimate to compressor rotation speed of turbo-jet engine. Result of fuzzy inference is used as the fuel flow control inputs for preventing compressor surge and flame-out in turbo-jet engine. The controller is designed to converge to the desired speed quickly and safely. Using MATLAB to perform computer simulations verified the performance of the proposed controller.

Personal Name Authority Control in Korean Public Libraries (국내 공공도서관의 인명 전거제어의 현황 및 발전 방향)

  • This research analyzes the current status of personal name authority control and its impact on the end user searching against OPACs in public libraries in Korea. Further it also suggests the ways to improve the recall ratio in author search with a minimal modification, system-wise and authority-wise. on the KOLISNET as a stepping stone for other public libraries. Finally, a long-term plan for establishing proper authority work in public libraries including the National Library of Korea is briefly proposed. In order to find out whether authority works are conducted and examine how variant written forms of the same foreign name and variant names of the same person are treated, OPACS of the National Library of Korea, KOLISNET, and ten randomly selected public libraries were searched. Findings indicate that while the National Library of Korea was performing authority control, even incomplete, the rest did not appear to conduct any form or authority control. As a spinoff of the research, it is observed that in many public libraries their bibliographic records and retrieval methods are inaccurate, lacking consistency, and incomplete. In sum. it is strongly recommended that (1) as a start for authority work among public libraries personal name authority control should be conducted to enhance the identifying and collocating functions in OPACs, (2) a shared authority database, for which the National Library of Korea's authority database might be used. should be built for Public libraries.

  • This study simulates the operation of a 200 kW class micro gas turbine that is currently under development. The performance and operating characteristics depending on the load control scheme (constant turbine inlet temperature versus constant turbine exit temperature) and ambient condition were investigated using detailed component performance data. The sensitivities of operating parameters, such as the compressor surge margin and flow path temperatures, according to unit fuel flow change were predicted for a wide load range. The sensitivity analysis showed that the steady state calculation provided useful information about the maximum surge margin reduction during load change.

  • 전력계통에서 역률개선을 위해 사용하는 전력용 콘덴서(이하 SC bank)는 전력계통의 운전상 전압 제어와 역율개선이라는 두가지 측면에서 매우 중요한 전력설비이다. 또한 최근에 전력산업 구조조정에 의해 발전분야가 분할되는 시점에서 SC bank의 역할의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SC의 고장원인이 무엇인지를 현장조사를 통해 수행하였다. 그 결과 SC bank를 구성하고 있는 리액터, 콘덴서, PT, 혹은 CT 흑은 방전코일의 열화원인이 대부분 차단기의 투입서지와 차단서지에 의해 발생되고 있음을 확인하였다 또한 기존의 보호시스템은 SC Bank의 보호에 적합하지 않음을 검토하였다 차단기 서지에 대한 대책으로는 투입시 전압영점투입과 중성점 저항기의 취부로 투입서지 및 차단서지를 효과적으로 감소되는 현상을 모의와 현장실측을 통해 확인하였다. 또한 기존의 보호방식이 과전류와 과전압 부족전압 혹은 CT와 PT를 이용한 차동방식에 의해 셀의 경련변화를 감지하고 있으나 이 경우 보호맹점이 존재하게 됨을 검토하였다. 이러한 보호상의 문제점을 보완하는 방법으로 SC bank는 임피던스가 늘 일정하는 점에 착안하여 전압과 전류를 이용하여 임피던스의 변화량을 감시하고, 또 한가지 방법은 SC bank의 운전특성상 무효전력만을 발생시킨다는 점에 착안하여 만일 유효전력 성분이 SC bank에서 감지된다면 소자의 이상이나 비정상적은 전류경로가 된다는 결론에 도달하고 유효전력감시를 통한 SC bank의 열화감지가 가능하다는 결론에 도달하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 3가지의 방법, 즉, 첫째 영점투입차단기 채택, 둘째, 중성점 저항기의 도입, 셋째 새로운 보호방식에 의한 기존의 보호맹점의 보완을 제안하였다. 위의 새로운 제안을 현장에 적용하는 경우 제작사의 제작불량을 제외한 운전상의 SC bank의 문제점 및 고장빈도는 현저히 감소하게 될 것으로 사료된다.
