In Korean Studies, there have been made many studies for finding the identity as the intrinsic academic field, because the Korean studies have complex intertwined characteristics with other fields. However, previous related studies have been mostly focused on the qualitative content analysis method related to the major Korean Studies, the study applying the bibliometric method was not conducted. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to draw intellectual structures about the domestic and overseas Korean studies academic papers applying the bibliometric methods, and to analyze content of intellectual structures by focus group interview (FGI). As the result of this study, the intellectual structure in the domestic Korean Studies had the characteristics of the Humanities, and the intellectual structure in the foreign Korean Studies had the characteristics of the Social Sciences. Also, the domestic Korean Studies encompassed a wide range of period from ancient to modern times, while the foreign Korean Studies focused on a modern and contemporary times. This study has a significance in the way that it is the first study to draw the intellectual structures in the domestic and foreign Korean Studies applying the bibliometric method, and then to carry out the comprehensive analysis through FGI with specialists in Korean Studies. However, in order to do more meaningful one-to-one comparison studies about the field of the domestic and foreign Korean Studies, many follow-up co-studies reflecting diverse opinions of many researchers in Korean Studies will be necessary.

In this study, pathfinder network analysis has been carried out to identify subject domains of documents which cited articles in the ASIST Proceedings. This represents how articles in the ASIST Proceedings are flowed and used in what subjects areas. For this analysis, 240 documents were selected through a search of the Scopus database. The complete linkage clustering method was used to draw out 16 clusters from 240 documents. Through MDS and pathfinder network analysis, knowledge networks of clusters have been produced. As a result. articles in the ASIST Proceedings relating to knowledge management, bibliometrics, information retrieval and digital libraries have been cited actively by other publications. The most frequent citation flow type of ASIST proceedings was citation from proceedings(ASIST) to reviews(ARIST), via journals, and the most popular subject areas related to documents were bibliometrics.

Ths study was prformed to measure the indexmg coverage of the periol~cal literature on a sub'||'&'||' area inKorean language policy. A bibliography of 675 citations dated 1977-1990 was obtained through Xugohaknonpmongnokjip'.Coverage was determined by checlung the citations against 2 indexmg services, Ch-dg~idm"and Xugogungrnunhaknonmunmongrok". For the period 1977-1990, T h o n g g g a n h a n g m s consistentlyprovided coverage of about 63%. For the pencd 1986-1990, Xugogungmunhaknonmunmongrok" providedcoverage of about 33% and the combined coverage of the two services was abut 78%. Metaliteracy is a new framework that reframes information literacy. Metaliteracy is distinguished from information literacy through the intruduction of postmodernism, social constructivism and metacognition. However it has been not examined whether metaliteracy studies reflect the conceptual differences. Therefore, The purpose of the study is to observe research trends of metaliteracy on the difference from information literacy. In the study, literature reviews were conducted, and frequency analysis and knowledge network analysis(co-occurrence and bibliographic coupling) were conducted for 80 metaliteracy studies. The results of the study are as follows. As a result of co-occurrence analysis, metacognition(frequency 1st) and skills(degree centrality 1st, closeness centrality 1st, betweenness centrality 1st) appeared. Since metaliteracy criticizes skill-based information literacy, the result suggests that the concepts of information literacy and metaliteracy are mixed. On the other hand, as a result of bibliographic coupling analysis, studies with high bibliographic coupling explain the difference between information literacy and metaliteracy through metacognition.

The KORMARC format for authority data defines the ales and conventions (tags, indrators, subfield codes and coded value) that idenbfy the data elements in KORMARC authority records. This document is intended for the use of personel involved in the creation and maintenance of authority records as well as those involved in the deslgn and maintenance of systems for the communication and praxsmg of authority records. The format is developed on the basis of USMARC f o m t for authority data. And for the compatibility, the KORMARC format for bibliographc data is taken into account.

Information behavior is an important area of research in library and information science (LIS) that has evolved over the last 75 years. The aim of this study is to investigate the recent trends of information behavior research by providing insights into emerging topical areas within information behavior. To conduct this study, the bibliographic data from Scopus was used, and the trends of information behavior were traced by using variations of key terms used in information behavior research, such as "information behavior", "information seeking behavior", and "information needs." In addition, the trends were analyzed in terms of content words in the title, highly cited journal articles, disciplinary categories, and author keywords. Information behavior research has its roots in LIS, but the findings of the study reveal that information behavior has expanded to other disciplines by intersecting a variety of topical areas. In particular, this study showed that information behavior in the health/medicine domain has become a predominant emerging topical area of research. In order to enhance our understanding of complex human behavior, future research should focus more on interdisciplinary aspects by measuring the scope of information behavior.

Recently, the service of the technical information(journals, proceedings) which are taken in from abroad and provided has some difficulties to make users acquire the information with ease because the bibliographic information, article and document delivery service are not linked to the related organizations. In this paper we propose to supply a high-degree retrieval service by the systematic and unitary DB construction and management and to make a nation-wide efficient management and cooperation system of the foreign technical information from abroad as building up the assigning a part of the location guide and document delivery service and cooperation system of the bibliographic information from the foreign technical resources.

As topics of researchers become diverse horizontally or vertically, academic libraries have difficulties to identify the dynamic change of researchers' needs for academic publications. This research aims to illustrate the topic areas of researchers in a department of university by analyzing bibliographies of their publications. First, researchers' publications were used to discover the topic areas where the researchers had published. Second, the cited publications in those papers were analysed to identify the expanded topic areas of these researchers. Finally, highly cited journals were analyzed by network analysis method. The major finding is that the importance of topic areas by the number of journals was not necessarily proportional to that by the number of papers. Researchers have a tendency to use many papers in a small number of journals in a certain topic area. Furthermore, the importance of topic areas discovered by researchers' publications was not the same as that discovered by researchers' citations.

This study examines the concept of the FRBR model of IFLA, which stratifies the bibliographic relationships between related works and bibliographic records and effectively links them, as well as the problems occurring in the applied cases. Moreover, it modifies the FRBR model by accepting the excluding perspectives of main entry heading and introducing ISTC as a linking device of the related work. This study examines the validity of the M-FRBR model by applying it to Korean literature, resettles the data elements of MODS based on the M-FRBR model. and realizes a bibliographic system based on the modified record format.
