Research on Korea Text Recognition in Images Using Deep Learning (딥 러닝 기법을 활용한 이미지 내 한글 텍스트 인식에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, research on character recognition, which is one of the fields of computer vision, was conducted. Optical character recognition, which is one of the most widely used character recognition techniques, suffers from decreasing recognition rate if the recognition target deviates from a certain standard and format. Hence, this study aimed to address this limitation by applying deep learning techniques to character recognition. In addition, as most character recognition studies have been limited to English or number recognition, the recognition range has been expanded through additional data training on Korean text. As a result, this study derived a deep learning-based character recognition algorithm for Korean text recognition. The algorithm obtained a score of 0.841 on the 1-NED evaluation method, which is a similar result to that of English recognition. Further, based on the analysis of the results, major issues with Korean text recognition and possible future study tasks are introduced.

  • An artificila fish-reef is a artificail structure installed at marine ranching under the littoral sea. The artificial fish-reefs provide the function of fish spawning ground, habitation, nursery ground, and enhance the productivity of fising industry devastated by environmental pollution. After the installation of artificila fish-reef, continuous monitoring is demanded to check the validity of artificila fish-reef plan. However, the support of follow-up management is impossible because of the lack of a huge budget and professional manpower. Therefore, the artificial fish-reef combined with IT devices can be controled IT devices through the IT artificial fish-reef management system, and collect the marine environment information for the fair management. This paper shows the example of systematization for the management of artificial fish-reef based on the marine rancing management system.

  • As major industries become information -centered, business transactions and information -sharing processes are being computerized and automated, which ultimately re-defines electronic commercial transactions in a broader context. Business documents are the basic tools for corporate transactions. The use of business documents in electronic commercial transactions has increased markedly and this sphere is rapidly being extended to include information sharing between companies. XML(extensible Markup Language) was selected as the focus for this thesis. XML can help to make a complicated and data-rich document easy to share. The thesis proposes a business XML document editing system, comprised of a style document editor for business XM document structure, business documentation, and business document presentation, along with a business document transformation system which makes a transformation possible regardless of platform or using various corporate document standards.

  • Works that improve the process and notify the improved process, the product and the change of tasks to all users are essential in achieving project. Existent project management tools support the definition and the change of project activities, and configuration management tools support version check, workspace management. build management. etc. It costs too much to buy each tool. as well as, it is burdensome to learn usage for various tools. Therefore the web-based integrated tool is proposed to manage the process and artifacts at a time in this paper. The proposed tool defines component based development process model. and achieves recording of process progression, processing the request of change, reporting the progression of each task, product registering and change, version recording, artifact or form search, etc. using ebXML. Furthermore, the stakeholders get the systematic management and standardization by sharing information that are necessary in process achievement and configuration management in distributed environment using the integrated management tool.

  • Demand for text arranged in a circular shape is increasing as devices with round display such as smart watches are now being actively released. Data visualization field is receiving a lot of attention as the era of big data evolves. However, current web standard does not support the drawing of circular text. Therefore, the objective of this study was to extend CSS3 specifications to have circular text layout in web documents. In addition, we implemented a preprocessor so that contents made with CSS3 extensions could be shown in existing browsers. To confirm the wide expression range of CSS3 extension, we prepared some sample contents and analyzed them.

  • 1. A quantitative ecological investigation of the intertidal sand beach at Yong-ho Bay, located about 6km NE of Busan Harbour was carried out from February, 1974 to February, 1975. Composition of the fauna, diversity, faunal affinity and distributions in time and space were studied. Some ecological factors influencing to the community also discussed. 2. The beach can be classified as a fine-sand beach which is dominated by Armandia lanceolata and Nephtys sp. (A). Thirty two species of animals representing 29 genera were found. In number, two polychaetes, A. lanceolata and Nephtys sp. (A) were dominant, while one polychaete, Neanthes japonica and one bivalvia, Laternula limicela were dominant in weight. 3. Distribution of the fauna was devided into three areas of different faunal compositions with sediment types particularly by mud fraction content, and it well agreed with faunal affinity and diversity index value. 4. Seasonal fluctuation of the three dominant species, A. lanceolata, Nephtys sp. (A) and N. japonica was studied. Except Nephtys sp. (A), the fluctuation were closely related to the brooding time. 5. There was no relationship between faunal distribution and organic matter content. Submergence time affected the distribution of some species but the influence to the whole-community was little.

A study on the Inhabitant of Ssang-Cave in Pyeongchang, Korea (평창(平昌) 쌍굴(雙屈)의 서식생물(棲息生物)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • In this study, the inhabitant were investigated at the six sites in the cave which is located in Giwha-ri, Mitan-myen, Pyeong Chang-gun from January to June in 2005. As the result of observation, collection, researching, It was confirmed as all animals species were classified by 19 species, 4 classes, 11 orders, 16 families. Among the investigated animals, Diestrammena asynamora Adelung distributed 66.6% and Antrokoreana gracilipes Verhoeff distributed 22.4%. They were confirmed as a dominant species. Among the observed animals, Troglobite with ecological characteristics was 5.3%, troglophiles were 21.1% and trogloxenes were 73.7%. Among them, There were the largest number of species in trogloxenes. In the class manmalia, Rhinolphus ferrumequinum korai Kuroda and two Myolis daubentoni ussuriensis Ognev's species were observed. Among them Rhinolphus ferrumequinum korai Kuroda distributed 58.9%, so they were confirmed as a dominant species. The largest number of Triphosa dubitata Linnaeus, trogloxenes, were observed in January and February in winter. 503 individual of Antrokoreana gracilipes Verhoeffs, troglobites, were observed only in June. Diestrammena asynamora Adelung, troglophiles, appeared the large number of species in sping, especially, in April and May.

  • 하천유지유량에 대한 인식과 개념은 시대와 사회, 경제의 발전에 따라 변화되어 새로운 물 배분 패러다임에 입각한 하천유지유량이 정립되고 있다. 우리나라에서 하천유지유량의 필요성이 제기되기 시작한 것은 댐 건설 이후부터이며, 하구의 염수침입을 방지하기 위해 하천에서 기본적으로 유지되어야 할 필요수량을 정하면서 부터이다. 실제적인 하천유역의 관리에서 댐 건설 이전에는 하천의 유량을 조절할 수 있는 능력이 거의 없었기 때문에 하천유지유량의 설정 자체가 크게 의미를 갖지 못하였다. 우리나라 하천유지유량의 주요 기능은 1960년대 이전에는 하천의 주운기능, 1970년대는 하구의 염수침입방지 기능, 1980년대는 수질보전을 위한 희석용수의 기능으로 인식되었으며, 1990년대 이후 환경에 대한 인식 변화로 수질과 함께 하천생태계 보전의 필요성이 증가하여 이에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔고, 2000년대에 들어서는 자연환경을 중심으로 하는 하천유지유량과는 별도의 용수개념인 사회환경 개선을 위한 환경개선용수의 도입의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 하천유지유량에서 고려하는 항목은 갈수량을 기준으로 하고 하천기능 유지에 필요한 하천생태 및 하천수질 보전을 기본항목으로 하여 고려하도록 하며, 현실적으로 하천유지유량 산정 검토시 부수적인 미미한 비중을 차지하고 있는 하천경관, 하구막힘 방지, 지하수위 유지, 하천시설물 보호, 염수침입 방지 등의 항목은 필요항목으로 구분하되 하천 상황에 따라 추가적인 항목에 대한 검토가 필요한 경우 감안할 수 있도록 하였다. 갈수량의 산정은 반드시 유역 개발과 각종 유수사용, 수공구조물에 의한 유량 조절 효과가 없는 자연상태를 기준으로 산정하도록 하고 어류생태를 고려한 필요유량 산정 시 대표어종은 하천의 특성을 고려하고 지역사회의 의견을 수렴하여 단일어종보다는 생태적 군(Guild, 군(群))을 고려하여 선정하고 최소유량의 개념보다는 계절별 유량변동성을 고려하도록 하였다. 수질보전에 필요한 필요유량 산정 목표는 생태계 서식 및 생육 환경의 보전과 인간의 물 이용 측면에서 요구되는 목표수질을 구분하여 적용하도록 하였다. 하천유지유량 이외에 친수공간 확보, 물놀이, 관광, 하천문화행사 등 사회환경 개선을 위해 하천의 일부구간 또는 일부지역에 필요한 수량은 이를 이용하고자 하는 수혜대상 집단(지자체, 특정 기관 또는 개인 등)의 요구에 의해 발생되는 수량이므로 환경개선용수로 분류하여 별도로 산정하도록 하였다.

Taxonomic Review of the Snake-eels Family Ophichthidae(Anguilliformes) from Korea (한국 주변해역 바다뱀과(Anguilliformes: Ophichthidae) 어류의 분류학적 재검토)

  • A taxonomic review of 6 genera and 10 species in the family Ophichthidae was carried out based on specimens from the adjacent waters of Korea. The number of vertebrae distinguished the species of each genus: Ophisurus macrorhynchos (201~209), Ophichthus rotundus (178~183), Pisodonophis zophistius (179~182), P. cancrivorus (153~164), Echelus uropterus (152~158), Muraenichthys gymnopterus (155~156), Ophichthus evermanni (150~154), Brachysomophis porphyreus (137~148), Ophichthus urolophus (135~138), Ophichthus asakusae (124~134). Snout length in head length distinguished the 6 genera: Ophisurus (27.2~31.2), Echelus (18.0~27.7), Ophichthus (12.3~21.5), Pisodonophis (16.5~20.8), Muraenichthys (11.4~11.9), Brachysomophis (9.1~9.4). A key to the 6 genera and 10 species of the family Ophichthidae from the adjacent waters of Korea is provided.

  • This study investigated the soil oribatid mite community at planatations of the Korean white pine, planted in different years. The soil samples $(10\times10\times5cm)$ were taken monthly from Jun 1988 to July 1989, and soil microarthropods in th sample were extracted using the Tullgren funnel for 72 hors. The diversity indices decreased at the older plantation sites with the maximum point in January and the minimum in September. The richness indices showed the maximum point in June and the minimum in may. The dominance indices increased at the older plantation and showed the maximum point in April, May, the minimum in January. The indices of aggregation of Oribatid mites species showed concentrated distribution in the average 1.9. The older plantation, the more indices increase. The seasonal variation of th indices tended to be greatest in April, August and at lowest in January. The richness indices was positively correlated with shannon-wiener, evenness indices. The dominance, aggregation indices was negatively correlated with shannon, evenness, richness indices.
