The purpose of this study is to grope for policy to foster the database industry of Korea. Then, this study suggests a definition, classifications and the industry structure of database, and presents the developing processes of both world and Korea database industry. Finally, the problems of domestic database industry of Korea are pointed out and the policy to foster it is suggested.

ebXML은 e비즈니스를 위한 글로벌 표준으로서 그 동안 기업간 협력의 가장 큰 장애물로 여겨졌던 정보 시스템의 이질성을 극복할 수 있는 대안을 제시하는 기술이다. ebXML에서는 전체적인 프레임워크를 구성하는 주요 요소로서 거래 절차를 기술하는 비즈니스 프로세스, 거래에 이용되는 공통의 용어와 그 의미를 정의하고 있는 핵심 컴포넌트, 거래에 필요한 정보를 저장하고 검색하는 레지스트리, 거래 문서의 전송을 위한 메시징 서비스 등을 정외하고 있다. 이러한 구조를 기반으로 ebXML에서의 거래 절차는 비즈니스 프로세스에서 요구하고 있는 다양한 비즈니스 문서의 교환에 의해서 수행되며. 이때 필요만 비즈니스 문서의 모델은 핵심 컴포넌트를 기반으로 저작된다. 본 논문에서는 우선 ebXML 핵심 컴포넌트 기술 전반에 대하여 살펴보고, 이를 기반으로 비즈니스 프로세스의 수행에 필요한 비즈니스 문서를 생성하는 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 대해 설명한다.

최근 고객에게 개인화된 서비스를 제공하기 위한 방법의 하나인 CRM 시스템에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 룰 기반 CRM에서의 효율적인 룰 매칭을 목적으로 하는 시간요소를 고려한 룰 모델을 제안하고자 한다. 룰 매칭 시점관련조건을 고객관련조건과 구분함으로써 룰의 의미를 구조적으로 명백히 파악할 수 있고 룰 매칭 시에 룰 매칭 시점관련조건을 고객관련조건보다 먼저 수행할 수 있으므로 현재 시점에 룰 매칭을 해야 하는 룰들만을 대상으로 전체 고객 데이터를 검색할 수 있다. 이 때 룰 매칭 시간요소조건을 분류하기 위하여 필요한 카데고리 정보를 저장하고 계산 로직의 반복 수행을 막기 위한 목적으로 어휘를 정의하여 사용하는 방법에 대해서 설명한다.

무선 센서 네트워크의 효율성을 극대화 하고 네트워크 구축비용의 최소화를 위해서 에너지 소비, 보안, 선서 노드 배치 등에 대한 다양한 연구들이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그 중에서도 센서 노드 배치는 네트워크의 구축비용과 해당 네트워크가 제공하는 서비스의 성능에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 연구 분양이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 센서 노드 배치기법을 활용하여 네트워크내에서 발생하는 혼잡구간을 회피하는 배치 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 초기 배치된 노드들이 자신의 주변을 가상의 격자 구조에 대응시켜 해당 격자당 포함되어 있는 주변 노드를 검색한다. 이를 통해서 주변 격자들중 노드가 가장 적게 배치되어 있는 격자를 혼잡 후보 구역으로 선택하고 실제 혼잡이 발생하는 지 확인한 이후해당 혼잡구역 구역을 지나가는 트래픽을 우회 시킨다.

Through a wide variety of disciplines, practices on data access and re-use have been increased recently. In fact, there has been an emerging phenomenon that researchers tend to use the data sets produced by other researchers and give scholarly credit as citation. With respect to this practice, in 2012, Thomson Reuters launched Data Citation Index (DCI). With the DCI, citation to research data published by researchers are collected and analyzed in a similar way for citation to journal articles. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics and intellectual structure of sociology field based on research data, which is one of actively data-citing fields. To accomplish this purpose, two data sets were collected and analyzed. First, from DCI, a total of 8,365 data were collected in the field of sociology. Second, a total of 12,132 data were collected from Web of Science with a topic search with 'Sociology'. As a result of the co-word analysis of author provided-keywords for both data sets, the intellectual structure of research data-based sociology was composed of two areas and 15 clusters and that of article-based sociology was composed with three areas and 17 clusters. More importantly, medical science area was found to be actively studied in research data-based sociology and public health and psychology are identified to be central areas from data citation.

Due to the digital technology, the TV broadcasting platform is evolving to the digital-TV, which is supporting data broadcasting service. Although the data broadcasting services (i.e., games, wether information, stock trading service) provide rich entertainment to viewers, they make the operation manners of digital-TV so complex that some viewers feel difficulty in using their TV sets. Several researches have been performed to address the problem by improving the functions of EPG such as searching and reserving programs, applying gesture and voice recognition technologies to operating EPG, guiding the design of the EPG's user interface, and developing agents helping EPG to behave intelligently. A research, however, that tries to address the problem that viewers have different familiarities with IT services has not been performed yet. The paper tackles the problem by letting a viewer to choose an EPG configuration (among the several EPG configurations provided by a broadcasting network) and designing an EPG that implements an EPG configuration based on the choice.

The purposed of this research is to develop multimedia content usage analysis service platform. In the proposed platform, the content gazing behaviors of the users are monitored and profiled in real-time and a set of quantifiable metrics is provided. These metrics are used to determine the closeness of the users' behavior from the intent set by the provider. Based on the evaluation, it is possible to assess the effectiveness of the contents themselves as well. The content usage assessment is accomplished by utilizing the intention flow and the intent weight, which are embedded into the content by the content provider. Proposed methodology can be effectively applied and used in various application domains such as in education and in commercial advertisements.

Ubiquitous home refers not only to home but also to logical space, including a wide range of out-home personal devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, laptops, car navigators, and office PCs. There are certain connection barriers among the devices, such as the dynamic IP address, NAT. In a home network, various devices coexist in heterogeneous networks, such as IP, IEEE1394, PLC, Bluetooth, ZigBee, UWB, and IrDA, all of which lack interoperability due to their different physical transmission characteristics and protocols. In ubiquitous home where an unrestricted collaboration of the devices is essential to offer services that meet the users' requirements, free interoperability among the devices must be guaranteed. This paper proposes a networking model for interoperability of the heterogeneous devices in a ubiquitous home based on a virtual overlay network which hides the complicated physical network configurations and heterogeneity of the service protocols.

In this paper, we propose Media CIS system architecture which provides geographical information of geo-features in video sequences by using 3D geographical database and GPS-related data resulted from 4S-Van. We introduce a novel interoperable geographical data service concept, so-called, Virtual World Mapping (VWA) that can map 3D graphic world with real-world video to provide geographical information. Our proposed method can easily retrieve geographical information and attributes to reconstruct 3D virtual space according to certain frame in video sequences. Our proposed system architecture also has an advantage that can provide geographical information service with video stream without any image processing procedures. In addition to, describing the details of our components, we present a Media GIS web service system by using GeoVideo Server, which performs VWM technique.

The purpose of this study is to organize prior research related to e-commerce activation factors available to stakeholders in the online distribution industry, and to conduct FGI with e-commerce experts to calculate the importance of each factor in order based on the 3 Level Service Model of Kwon Hyeog-in (2010), the key factors derived through the preceding study and the FGI were structured and the weighting of each factor was derived using AHP methodology. In the higher factors, the private sector (0.542) > communes (0.237) > public (0.2222) appeared to be important. Sub-factories included 'search service development' (0.0970)', 'recommendation service development (0.0805)', 'consumer needs analysis (0.0534)', 'consumer consumption pattern analysis (0.0505)' and 'other platform-linked service development (0.0450)', in the order of weighting down, indicating each of the factors within the top 15 priority. The results of this study will be utilized throughout the e-commerce industry as well as e-commerce enterprises, providing an academic foundation for the rapidly growing e-commerce ecosystem.
