Effect of Professionalism of Social Workers on Service Quality : Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Social Capital (사회복지사의 전문성이 서비스 질에 미치는 영향 연구 : 사회자본의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study investigated the mediating effect of social capital between social workers' professionalism and service quality. By utilizing a convenience sampling method, a survey data form 276 social workers in Chungbuk province was analyzed. Results of descriptive statistics found that professionalism of social workers is 3.36, subtype of social capital among network being 3.43, credibility is shown for 3.67, and quality of service is confirmed for 4.00points in 5-point Likert scales. Both subtypes of social capital - network and credibility - showed mediating effects in the relations between professionalism and service quality. That is, a causal path of professionalism, social capital and service quality was confirmed by the data. Based on these results theoretical and practical implications for enhancing the level of social support and service quality of social services.

Moderating Roles of Public Services in the Quality of Life of Hemodialysis Patients within the Context of Social Support (혈액투석환자의 삶의 질에 대한 사회적 지지의 영향과 공적 서비스의 조절효과)

  • This study was conducted to explore the effect of social support on the quality of life of hemodialysis patients and to verify the moderating effect of public services. To achieve this purpose, parameter analysis using hierarchical moderated multiple regression was carried out with data provided by 156 hemodialysis patients who live in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Results of analysis showed that social support, marital status, occupation of patient affected with the quality of life. The findings also showed that public services have moderate effect on relationship between the quality of life of hemodialysis patient and social support. Implications of these results were explored in relation to the importance of public services and measures that could be taken to improve social work practice.

  • This study was originated from the idea that it would be important for caring service of community children center to be positioned as the institution to strengthen the public nature and provide quality care services to children. In particular, competencies of the employees in community children centers play an important role and the quality of children care services is the crucial evaluation parameter for those institutions. The objectives of this study are to investigate the effects of the competency levels of the employees in community children centers on the service quality to children and to verify the mediated effect of self-efficacy on their service quality to children. With respect to the data analysis methods, hierarchical regression analysis was performed. Barron & Kenny's method was used to understand the mediated effect of self-efficacy. Also, Sobel test was performed to investigate the significance of mediated effect of self-efficacy. The study results are, first, the service quality to children might be differed by the level of competencies of the employees in community children centers; and second, partial mediated effect of self-efficacy was found between their competencies and service quality to children. These results implicate that service quality to children can be improved by strengthening competencies of the employees in community children centers and enhancing their self-efficacy. It is necessary to try to improve the service quality by enhancing competencies and self-efficacy of the employees in community children centers, which will lead those institutions to play a crucial role in the caring services.

  • XML을 이용하여 인터넷 기반의 B2B e-business가 가능하도록 하는 전자상거래 국제 표준안인 ebXML이 국제 기구인 UN/CEFACT와 OASIS가 공동 추진하여 지난 5월 표준으로 제정되었다. ebXML의 핵심은 등록기/저장소이며 등록기/저장소에서 지원하는 등록기 서비스에는 객체 관리 서비스와 객체 질의 관리 서비스가 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 현재 제안된 표준 vl.0을 기준으로 등록기에 저장된 메타데이타를 검색할 수 있는 서비스 인터페이스를 정의하고, 이를 위한 질의를 제공하는 객체 질의 관리 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 또한 Browse & Drilldown Query, Filter Query와 같은 ad-hoc 질의 서비스를 제안하였다.

  • 초고속 인터넷 망의 구축에 따라 정보통신 교육이 활성화에 힘입어 직.간접적으로 응용하기 위한 노력이 지속적으로 진행되어 왔다. 웹 기반 원격강의는 원거리 학습자들의 학습욕구를 자기 주도적인 학습이 되도록 전체적인 수업을 진행하므로 학습과정에서의 질의 응답을 교수자에게 면대면으로 제공하지 못하였다. 따라서 학습자가 요구한 질의 내용을 잘못 이해함에 따라 교수자가 학습과정에서의 피드백 제공을 하지 못함으로써 개인학습의 동기부여가 감소됨에 따라 흥미를 입게 되었다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 웹 기반 서비스에 대한 체계적인 분석 및 설계를 위해 네비게이션 모델을 통해 질의 응답을 지원하는 QALT(Question Answer Learning Tool)를 설계 및 구현한다. 원격강의는 웹 상에서 기본적인 컨텐츠를 제시하고 그를 통해 수업이 진행되는 과정에서의 질의 응답의 문제점을 개선하기 위해 일다대(One-To-Many)의 서비스를 제공한다. 또한. 학습자는 교수자가 지정한 교육용 서버를 통해 텍스트 형식이 아닌 강의자료로 쓰인 문서파일에 직접 작성하여 질의 응답을 가능하게 된다. 그로 인해 교수자와 학생간의 질의 응답을 통해 상호작용을 원활하게 할 수 있는 보조학습도구로써의 사용이 증가될 것이다. 또한 서버에서의 폴더 서비스와 메일링 서비스를 통해 실시간 질의 응답이 가능함으로써 학습자는 강의파일에서 그림에 관한 질문에 효과를 볼 수 있고 교수자는 질문 받은 내용의 위치를 시각적으로 쉽게 볼 수 있으므로 빠른 응답이 가능하게 될 것이다.

Effects of Care workers' Job Satisfaction on the Quality of their Stay-at-Home aged Welfare Service (요양보호사의 직무만족이 서비스 질에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the job satisfaction of care worker affect on service quality. It was intended to provide the basic information for enhancing the Job satisfaction and making better quality of service. In order to meet the above purpose, the questionnaire method was applied for the care workers who worked at the 16 home care facilities located in Busan metropolitan city. 250 sheets of questionnaire were distributed and the total of 216 sheets were sampled among the collected questionnaire and analyzed. For data analysis, the statistics package of SPSS/WIN 12.0 was employed to perform reliability test, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis. And the obtained results are as follows: As the result of the regression analysis to find out how care worker's job satisfaction will affect towards the quality of the service, service quality increased as the care worker's job satisfaction rate was higher. For the job satisfaction's sub-variables, it showed high service quality as the satisfaction was increased in the order of task satisfaction level and job safety level.

The Working Conditions for Care Workers and Care Quality in Long-Term Care Services (노인장기요양보험제도에서 요양보호사의 근로조건이 서비스 질에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구)

  • This study examines the effect of working conditions for care workers on the care quality in long-term care facilities, particularly the coexisting perspective on publicness and the marketization of Long-term care services in South Korea brings about. Prior studies have not identified a causal relationship between working conditions and the care quality, only explained cause of a low-wage labor market and low productivity of social services. Theoretical relevance of working conditions and service quality on Long-term care in Korea is to view from a integrated care model by Daly and Lewis(2002). A nonproportional stratified sampling procedure was used to consider Long-term care facility's ownership. A merged dataset combining surveys from 248 Long-Term Care facilities and online resources from NHIC administrative was used and analyzed by multiple regression. The analysis results is showed as follows. Overall, organizations with better working conditions, having higher wage, having greater a fringe benefit, being skills development and training are likely to have good care quality in each area. This research shows that the working conditions, rewards and support to care workers of organizational culture in the normative dimension beyond the minimum standard on labor market policy and evaluation system by government regulations have a positive impact on Long-term care quality.

  • In this study, we analyze the relationships between long-term care workers' person-centeredness and job satisfaction, emotional labor, and service quality. Self-administered questionnaires were used to collect data from 460 long-term care workers in long-term care facilities. In the research model, person-centered care was verified using independent variables, with emotional labor (surface behavior, internal behavior) and job satisfaction applied as parameters, and service quality applied as a dependent variable. The results of this study are as follows. First, the fit of the model is good. Second, the implicit behavior of emotional labor is found to be an important factor affecting service quality. Also, emotional labor is an important mediator, improving the value of person-centered care and service quality. There is a positive correlation between internal behavior and service quality, and a negative correlation between surface behavior and service quality. Third, emotional labor (surface behavior, internal behavior) is the most influential variable in terms of service quality. The results of this study demonstrate the necessity to pay clinical and academic attention to person-centered care in terms of long-term care workers' emotional labor and service quality.

Effect of Medical Service Quality in Nursing Hospital on Relationship Quality and Patient Loyalty (요양병원의 의료서비스 품질이 관계의 질 및 환자충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship between medical service quality, relationship quality and patient loyalty in domestic nursing hospitals and the mediating effect between medical service quality and patient loyalty. A survey was conducted on 324 inpatients in nursing hospitals, and statistical analysis was conducted on the collected data through questionnaire survey. The following main results were derived. First, among the quality of medical services, the reputation of nursing facility equipment, nursing medical staff, nursing service system, and nursing facility was found to have a significant positive effect on the quality of the relationship, but medical expenses had no significant effect. Second, among the quality of the relationship, both trust and commitment were found to have a significant positive effect on patient loyalty. Third, among the quality of medical services, the reputation of nursing facility equipment, nursing medical staff, nursing service system, and nursing facility was found to have a significant positive effect on patient loyalty, but medical expenses had no significant effect. Fourth, it was found that nursing facility equipment, nursing medical staff, nursing service system, and reputation of nursing facilities, excluding nursing care expenses, all had a positive effect on patient loyalty through the quality of relationships between patients and hospitals.
