This paper analyzes the role of strategic fit, cooperation, and performance in small-sized subpart suppliers' interactions with large businesses. For this purpose, this paper analyzes survey data from 90 first-tier suppliers of Samsung Electronics and evaluates how strategic fit and cooperative relationships affect their performance. Empirical analysis suggests that strategic fit positively affects small companies' business and innovation performance. This finding aligns with theories arguing for strategies that accommodate specific business environments. In addition, strategic fit is crucial for innovativeness of SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises). With regard to forming relationships with large companies, findings also show that high quality technological and personnel cooperation boosts subpart suppliers' productivity and efficiency as notably reflected in SMEs' business performance. Moreover, such cooperation between small and large companies reinforces the benefits associated with strategic fit and innovation. This means that if the business environment of small-sized subpart suppliers is uncertain, harnessing differentiated strategies and pursuing collaborations with prime companies will produce innovative outcomes (e.g., increased patent publications). On the other hand, when degree of uncertainty is small, pursuing cost leadership strategies and collaborating with prime companies in areas, such as technology and personnel, will help small-sized subpart suppliers produce innovative outcomes. Based on these findings, this paper argues that choosing the right competitive strategy for a specific business context is intrinsically tied to (1) augmenting technological and human collaborations with prime companies, (2) improving the quality of these interactions, and (3) generating competitiveness among small subpart suppliers. Both competition and cooperation are necessary for strengthening the competitiveness of small companies.

An increase of national R&D has brought the growth of research performance such as paper and patent quantitatively. However, the results of technology transfer and commercialization still leave much to be desired in Korea. Therefore, it has to be drawn up a plan for effective management & application of research performance created by public research institutes. We select four leading institutes (two universities, two government-funded research institutes) that performed efficient performance management & application. Then, we analyze the best practices and suggest contributions. The results show that four institutes build up a framework of performance management & application from research planning to technology transfer and commercialization. At an early planning phase, institutes set up definite needs-oriented goals, and prior review as well as prior art search is executed through experts. Besides, they systematically promote strategic patent management, technology marketing, post management, and so forth. For such a performance management & application process, capabilities have to be supported with regard to specialized organization, system, routine. This study can give an hint to improve performance management & application from public research institutes in Korea.

In this paper, operational problems of Busan Port and competitiveness deciding factors are analyzed by field data research and interview with employees in shipping companies and terminal operation companies. In the analysis, the problems Busan Port currently has are identified as follows: 1) low price competitiveness, 2) Lack of new port back facilities and connecting transportion system 3) Lack of operation ability of container terminal 4) Inefficient pour labor supply system. In order to strengthen the competitiveness and leap up to a hub port in North East Asia, Busan port is investigated to enhance below requirements. 1) Hiring more equipment and increase productivity in terminal 2) Integrating terminal operation companies to react maximization of vessel 3) Maintaining cost advantages 4)Proactively inviting global carriers to participate in the terminal operation 5)Making business environment for Global Terminal Operator to participate in the terminal operation in order to take advantage of their global marketing power.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the concentration effect of Busan container terminal. Productivity and efficiency have played key role to attract more cargo to a port because these are important factors to select liners’ calling port in vessel deployment. It means that productivity directly links with the liners’ vessel operation cost. The main results of this paper are as follows: the port concentration by terminal integration can improve the port's external image with recovering tariff competitiveness and also facilitate economic effect of size through efficient management.

Port industry has achieved a remarkable growth with a help from increase in container shipment and above all, transshipment that reflects international competitive power of Port industry amounts to 36% of the national harbor shipment. Therefore, this study speculates the impact of Port industry on national economy using the inter-industry relation table. As it considers the reason why international competitive power in Port facilities decreased as absence of investment, it is to present an effective investment plan for Port industry. Though Port industry as one of main national key industries play an important role in production of national economy, it has been evaluated as having relatively less importance. And when Port industry is managed independently, relying on foreign countries without improvement, price increase due to improper agreement of foreign enterprises and problems relating to securing safe transportational vehicles will have tremendous impact on national economy. KICS is intended to facilitate the computerization of the criminal justice process and realize a quick and transparent criminal justice process. Thus, it has been operating in the field of criminal justice by establishing criminal justice portal for the empowerment of the people. While in 2008 the opposition by the Court concerns the independent function of the judiciary and privacy violations presented in conjunction with its own operating system between the judiciary and other institutions. KICS improve office productivity by creating documents in a single criminal justice agencies to reduce costs, and costs of document exchange between criminal justice agencies. Secondly, the decision-making process is simplified by using the electronic documentation system and speed up, bind and document handling procedures ranging from preserving documents received are reduced dramatically contribute to the competitiveness of the organization through business improvement. Third, The use of an electronic document stored in the information is easy, and it is possible to easily access a variety of information can facilitate the realization of an open state by smoothly to provide information about the people. Finally, KICS building a network of criminal legal systems to maximize the benefits and the electronic integration effect it is being evaluated to improve the overall efficiency of the criminal legal system.

This study aims to analyze the relationship between transport infrastructure investment and rural development in Korea in a more systematic and empirical way. To do so, we formulate research framework to examine the multi-faceted relationship through extensive literature review and carry out a descriptive study on the spatial patterns of road investment and rural development in Korea. Finally, using the structural equation model, this study carries out the exploratory empirical analysis on the direct and indirect relationship between transport infrastructure investment and rural development. The study finds that the transport infrastructure investment in rural Korea impacts clearly on both the population base promotion and production and income growth through better accessibility. In addition, the investment has an indirect effects on the production and income growth through its influence on the population base promotion. This implies that the transport infrastructure investment in rural Korea so far exerts both long-term and short-term influences on rural development through various channels of impacts.

We examined the effect of Investor Relation(IR) on financial Ratios. This Study used by using 1,178 sample data from 2007 to 2010. In short, the result of this study's is as followed. Investor Relation(IR) have a positive relevance with financial Ratios variables. Therefore we can support that the firm held Investor Relation(IR) shows the better financial performance according to this study. This study contributes as follow. we can confirm how does a Investor Relation(IR) affect financial performance by this study's result. We hope that this study can be helped development of capital market and give a good news to investors on firms that have good governance level.

As the excessive competition between container terminals has been deepening, not only productivity, but also cost economic of the terminals has been raised. With regard to this, the competitiveness of the terminals is limited because of inefficiency operation of transfer crane(T/C) which needs large amount of energy consumption. Therefore, it is possible that the improvement in the T/C operation leads to saving cost for resources and energy as well as increasing the productivity of the terminals. This study provides 'the K-Means Clustering based Optimized Decision Model for Transfer Crane Operation', referring to 'RFID & RTLS based Port Logistics Initiative' of Ministry of Land, Transportation and Maritime Affairs and estimates the efficiency through simulating.

빅데이터 기술은 기업의 경쟁력을 높일 수 있는 혁신 기술 중 하나로 급성장하고 있는 가운데 농업 분야 또한 빅데이터를 활용한 경쟁력 제고와 미래 산업으로의 발전이 중요 당면과제로 부상하고 있다. 해외의 경우 농업 빅데이터를 활용한 스타트업이 빠른 속도로 증가하며 성장하는 반면 국내의 경우 생산 분야 일부 농업 벤처 외에는 빅데이터 활용이 미흡한 실정이다. 또한 기업의 빅데이터 활용수준이나 활용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 연구가 대기업이나 특정 산업에 국한되어 이루어지고 있으며, 연구마다 영향요인 변수의 검증결과가 상이하게 나타나 산업/기업특성에 따라 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 농업벤처기업에서 새로운 ICT인 빅데이터를 도입하고 사용하는 데 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고, 이를 통해 기대하는 편익에 대해 파악함으로써 활용을 촉진할 수 있는 방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 본 연구는 빅데이터가 조직의 프로세스를 변화시키고, 최고경영층의 지원이 필수적이며, 기업이 처한 환경적 압박에 대응할 수 있는 수단으로 보고 기술·조직·환경(TOE: Technology-Organization-Environment) 프레임워크를 기반으로 혁신확산이론(Diffusion of Innovation Theory) 모형을 결합하여 본 연구에 적합한 변수들을 도출한 후 이들 변수간의 인과관계를 설정하여 연구모형을 구성하였다. 이에 따라 TOE모형의 기술적 요인에 관한 변수로는 혁신확산이론 변수인 상대적이점, 호환성, 복잡성을 채택하였고, 조직적 요인에 관한 변수로 최고경영층 지원, 비용부담능력을, 환경적 요인에 관한 변수로는 법적·정책적 지원, 경쟁자 압력을 채택하였다. 이들 3가지 요인에 속한 7가지 변수들과 빅데이터 사용의도와 기대편익 간의 관련성, 그리고 농업벤처 사업분야의 조절효과에 대한 8개의 가설을 설정하였다. 본 연구는 실제 농업벤처기업 종사자 대상 설문을 통한 실증연구를 통해 벤처 현장에서의 빅데이터 활용수준을 높이기 위한 기술적, 조직적, 환경적 관점의 정책 개선방안을 제시하고, 생산/가공/유통 등 사업분야별 비교를 통해 영향요인의 중요도 차이를 규명해 영역별로 차별적이고 효과적인 정책 방향성을 도출하는 데 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.
