부상공정의 색 제거에 대한 pH 및 아민 투여량의 영향

  • The removal of colours from aqueous solution and/or dispersions has been studied by dispersed-air flotation, in a semi-batch column. Two colours were used for the experiments: Basic Yellow 28 (basic) and Direct Orange 31 (basic). All two were effectively removed by flotation within 8 min. Sodium dodecyl sulfate, sodium oleate and amines were found to be effective as collectors in the removal of colour, which was found to be related to the pH of the solution and the amount of collector added to it, with high collector dosages causing the process to become pH-independent.

  • 유기발광소자는 고휘도, 넓은 시야각, 빠른 응답속도, 높은 색재현성, 좋은 유연성의 소자 특성 때문에 디스플레이 제품에 많이 응용되고 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 최근에 저소비전력, 고휘도, 소형화 및 장수명의 장점을 가진 유기발광소자의 상용화가 진행되면서 차세대 디스플레이소자로서 관심을 끌게 되었다. 최근에는 고효율의 장점을 가지는 무기 형광체와 양자점을 이용한 백색 유기발광 소자에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있으나 색 안정성이 좋지 않은 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 적색 빛을 방출하는 CdSe/ZnS 양자점과 녹색 빛을 방출하는 YAG:Ce3+ 무기 형광체를 포함하는 polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA)를 색변환층으로 이용하여 청색 유기발광소자에 결합한 백색 유기발광소자를 제작하였다. CdSe/ZnS 양자점과 YAG:Ce3+ 무기 형광체의 광흡수대역은 250 nm에서 500 nm이므로 470 nm의 청색 발광소자의 청색 빛을 흡수하여 색변환층에서 재 발광할 때 색 변환 결과를 무기 형광체와 양자점의 여러 가지 혼합 비율에 따라 전계발광 스펙트럼을 통해 관측하였다. 또한, 전압을 12 V 에서 16 V까지 변화하였을 때 색좌표가 (0.32, 0.34)에서 (0.30, 0.33)으로 적은 변화를 보여 높은 색안정성을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이 연구 결과는 양자점과 무기 형광체를 혼합한 색변환층을 이용한 백색 유기발광소자의 색 변환 효율 증가와 색안정성에 대한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있다.

  • 마티즈와 같은 유명한 화가들의 작품을 보면 쉐이딩 부분을 단순히 회색 톤을 이용하여 색을 칠하는 것이 아니라 표현하려고 하는 상황과 분위기에 맞추어 다양한 색을 사용하는 것을 확인해 볼 수 있다. 이렇게 다양한 색상을 이용함으로써 장면을 작가의 의도에 맞게 연출할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 풍성한 느낌을 줄 수 있다. 이는 색이 인간의 감성적이 부분을 자극할 수 있기 때문인데, 사용하는 색에 따라 사람의 느낌도 변하고 감정도 달라지기 때문에 작가들은 다양한 색의 조합으로 느낌을 표한 할 수 있는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 렌더링에서도 다양한 색으로 쉐이딩 할 수 있는 다중 층 색상 쉐이딩 기법을 제안한다. 기존의 퐁 쉐이딩 기법이나 카툰 쉐이딩 기법은 단순히 회색 톤을 이용하여 쉐이딩 처리를 한다는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 쉐이딩 범위를 여러개로 나누고 각각의 영역에 반투명의 색을 덧칠함으로써 자연스럽고 풍부한 색의 혼합이 가능하도록 하였다. 이러한 다양한 색을 사용함으로써 3차원 렌더링에서도 다양한 장면 연출이 가능하며 느낌 표현도 할 수 있다.

The effects of adjective meaning on response to color: A test using Stroop task (형용사의 의미가 색 구별에 미치는 영향: 스트룹 과제를 통한 검증)

  • Stroop effect(Stroop, 1935) is a reliable paradigm which has been used in various psychological research. Although classic Stroop experiment used color and color name for experimental stimuli, subsequent research reported that a color(e.g. green) and an object(e.g. grass) which displays a typical color show similar effects depending on color-object congruency(Klein, 1964). Because past research that used Stroop effect to investigate semantic representation tested association between concrete object and color, they predominantly used concrete nouns and their corresponding color names as stimuli(e.g. Dalrymple-Alford, 1968, 1972; Klein, 1964). Recently, Sherman and Clore(2009) reported that response time to white or black words is affected by moral value of words (e.g., honesty, crime) even when the words do not have specific referents. Based on this result, we tested association between thermesthesia-related adjectives(e.g., 따스한, 냉정한) and color(warm color, cold color) using Stroop task. The results showed that subjects were faster in their response to color when adjective-color was congruent than when incongruent, and there was an interaction between color and meaning of adjectives. The Stroop effect in this research is unique because, contrary to previous research that used concrete nouns, the effect was obtained even with abstract adjectives which do not have specific referents. In addition, unlike Sherman and Clore(2009) that used achromatic color, our results show that Stroop effect obtains between abstract adjectives and chromatic color.

A fundamental study on the Color Perference and the Recognition of Color Names among College Students (대학생의 색기호와 색명 인지도에 관한 기초적 연구)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the color preference and the recognition of color names among college students. The study revealed the following: 1) The most favorite colors included blue, purple, white and green in that order; and the least favorite colors included achromatic colors, ocher and red in that order. 2) Brown was the favorite color in furniture while red was the disliked color; In colthing, white was preferred while red was disliked; Red was appropriate for accent colors, and bright colors were for product packages. 3) In regards with seasonal image, yellow, blue, brown and white were associated with spring, summer, fall and winter, respectively; Blue represented self-image most. 4) Black, grey, red and green in that order showed the higest recognitions in color names while indigo, crimson, deep carmine and havy blue showed the lowesR ; Color name recognitions showed the order of achomatic, neutial, warm and cool colors.

A study on the color management between scanner and monitor using multiple regression method (다중 회귀분석법을 이용한 스캐너-모니터간 색보정에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to recover the CIE XYZ tristimulus values of original colors from scanner output signals, and to reproduce true colors on the monitor. The process of this study is composed of three steps; scanner characterization, chromatic adaptation transformation, and color space transformation between and sRGB. Especially, in the process of recovery, scanner stimuli were obtained accurately by dividing the non-linear photometric response curve into two parts. As the result of test to EPSON Expression 1680 scanner, the average color difference between true and recovered XYZ for 228 target colors, 22 test neutrals, and 36 test colors were 1.49, 0.97, and 1.42 $\Delta$ $E_{UV}$ *, respectively. With the transformation from illuminant D50 to illuminant D65, the input signals to sRGB monitor were predicted. Finally, it could be found that displayed colors with predicted input signals were very consistent with true colors. with true colors.

Effect of Color Overlay on Reading Comprehension Depending on Emotional State (감정 상태에 따라 색 오버레이가 언어 인지 기능에 미치는 영향)

  • With the advance of digital technology, new methods which acquire color information and combine it with various contents are emerging. Color has some effect on emotion while it gives some information as component of an image. In addition, change in emotion and sensation from color stimulus makes some change in cognition. This research investigate the effect of color overlay on cognition depending on emotional state. With this goal, subjects consisting of 10 men and 10 women solved some problems with color overlay of red, orange, and green after watching short video clips which intend to induce target emotion. Experimental results show that red color overlay under positive emotion significantly reduces the average score of solving problems, while green overlay under negative emotion significantly increases it. It is also analyzed that there is not statistically significant difference in cognitive function with color overlay while it is significantly better under positive emotion than negative emotion without color overlay.

  • Gamut mapping is a technique that acts on cross-media color reproduction to transform a color between devices for the purpose of enhancing the appearance or preserving the appearance of an image. Gamut mapping essentially produces color conversion error which depends on the gamut mapping method, source and destination devices, and sample points for gamut modeling. For color space conversion between monitor colors and printer colors, empirical representation using sample measurements is currently widely utilized. Color samples are uniformly selected in the device space such as CMY or RGB, represented as color patches, and then measured. However, in the case of printer, these color samples are not evenly distributed inside the printer gamut and the color conversion error is increased. Accordingly, this paper introduces a equally distributed color sampling method in CIELAB space, a device- independent color space, to reduce color conversion error, and the performance is analyzed via color space conversion experiments using three-dimensional interpolation.

Enhancing harmony of color theme by changing the order of colors (색의 순서 변경을 이용한 색의 조화 개선 방법)

  • Color harmony is affected by order of colors or orderly arrangement as well as harmonious colors themselves. In this paper, we show people perceive the degree of harmony differently according to the orderly arrangement of colors. Especially, we use the order of colors in color themes, or color schemes which have been largely used for color selection. We first present the method for harmony calculation of Ou's researches[1][2] and then suggest a method considering minimum color distance of component colors. For a design consisting of multiple colors, we show overall harmony of colors is more important than each harmony of adjacent component colors. By user study, we conclude that the suggested method can enhance the harmony of color theme.

Presentation of Target Color with Extraction Variables in Natural Dyes Extraction (천연색소 추출공정에서 추출특성에 따른 목표색의 재현)

  • The representation of color with natural dyes is closely related with the modern well-being life. This study is focused on the representation of target color of the blue, yellow, and red color system, these color sources were originated from the green tea, gardenia, and black rice respectively. The quantitative numerical value of brightness (L), color coordinates (a, b) were designated for the target color, the optimum color nearest to the target value was extracted with the solvent pH, temperature, and extraction time. The longer the extraction time had more thickening color in case of the gardenia. The L-a-b coordinate of extracted color were analyzed with the color difference meter and compared with the target color. The experimental variables were optimized to extract the color of the smallest ${\Delta}E$ with the target color. As a result, the CIE standard value was proposed and the color was represented.
