A Measurement System for Color Environment-based Human Body Reaction (색채 환경 기반의 인체 반응 정보 측정 시스템)

  • The result of analyzing the cognitive reaction due to the color environment has been applied to various filed especially in medical field. Moreover, the study about the identification of patient's condition and examination the brain activity by collecting the bio-signal based on the color environment is being actively conducted. Even though, there were a variety of experiments by convention the color environment using a light or LED color, it still has a problem that affects the psychological information. Therefore, our proposed system using a HMD (Head Mounting display) to provide a completed color environment condition. This system uses the BMS(Biomedical System) to collect the biometric information which responds to the specific color condition and the human body response information can be measured by the development the Memory and Attention test on Mobile phone. The collection of Biometric information includes electro cardiogram(ECG), respiration, oxygen saturation (Sp02), Bio-impedance, blood pressure will store in the database. In addition, we can verify the result of the human body reaction in the color environment by Memory and Attention application. By utilizing the reaction of the human body information that is collected thought the proposed system, we can analyze the correlation between the physiological information and the color environment. And we also expect that this system can apply to the medical diagnosis and treatment. For future work, we will expand the system for prediction and treatment of Alzheimer disease by analyzing the visualization data through the proposed system. We will also do evaluation on the effectiveness of the system for using in the rehabilitation program.

  • In recent years, the digital media environment has begun to diversify, with a greater focus being placed on user-centric design. With the development of digital technology, the digital media environment has formed a vast network of information, which supports interactive communication between people, creating a need for user-centric research. Mobile displays, as a representation of the digital media environment, have the advantage of mobility through the use of thin screen displays and low-performance image sensors, which allow for miniaturization and power saving. However, this results in reduced colour accuracy compared to large displays. This study investigates users' colour perception when using dark and light mode mobile displays. Colour perception was measured using a psycho-physical experiment, which controls each colour attribute based on the 12 colours of KS. The results were analysed to determine whether there is a difference in colour perception between dark mode and light mode, and if the difference was statistically significant. Future research directions based on the results are then discussed.

  • The constituent element of the city is various and extensive, but buildings are representation of it. A cllaracter of building have evaluation to form, color, volume, but the color is the most effective element to change of the city. Therefore, important of the studies on tile color of the city get on the increase. The purpose of this study was to present a line of apartment color, based on the traditional color.

  • South Korea has entered the age of aging society since the elderly population over 65 reached 13.1% in 2015. This increase rate is the fastest in the OECD members. as a part of the precaution, the Korean government has enforced the long term care insurance from July 2008 and the increase of related nursing homes until 2015 was 220.2% which is rapid and quantitative. It was natural that quantitative expansion leads to qualitative improvement. With regard to service environment conditions, color environment draws attention as one of the most effective measures. color environment supports nursing home's spatial functions and the aged class is subject to the research as the potential customers. This study aims to understand color environment, conduct surveys for color preference and attitude toward color environment, and suggest directions for color environment plan. The ultimate goal is to improve the quality of Korean nursing home environment. It studied definition, state, color environment and space functions of nursing homes as well as the preceding researches. With 100 people over 60s in Busan and Gyeongnam area (52 male and 48 female), the survey examined attitudes for color environment and color preference by space functions in nursing home. The research method is as follows. First, as a result of the consciousness survey on color environment in elderly nursing home, it considers service (37%), medical service (20%), and location (19%) heavily in order. color environment plan is not recognized significantly. However, the need of indoor color plan in the elderly nursing homes has "agree (32%) and "strongly agree (25%), which suggests that color introduction is required to the nursing homes. Second, the indoor coloration for the elderly nursing homes has various color preferences. The color preference order for bedroom was R, P, and G but this order changes in nursing space (program room) to G, R, and Y. The communal space such as lobby prefers R, G and Y in order. R color was preferred in general.

  • With the modernization fund of the government, construction of new passenger ships make the level of interior design is improved, but the space where the crew is working is still inadequate. This study is to investigate the color environment of the Bridge Deck and Engine Room among working spaces of passenger ships. It aims to improve the mental health of crews and set up a safe working environment by presenting color design, and suggest the specificity of ship's working space and color value with matching the color environment.

  • 작금의 현대 사회는 바쁜 일상 속 부모들의 관심이 부족한 자녀들에 대한 심리적 안정과 환경 적응력을 위한 색채심리치료의 필요성이 급증하고 있다. 이에 우리는 아동의 그림 등으로 아동의 감성상태를 파악하여야 한다. 현재 진행 중인 감성의 실증적 연구는 크게 심리학적 관점과 공학적 관점에서 이루어지고 있다. 심리학분야에서 이해하고 있는 감성은 감정에 가깝다고 할 수 있고, 한편 공학적 관점에서 이해되는 감성은 '외부의 물리적 자극에 의한 감각, 지각으로부터 인간의 내부에 야기되는 고도의 심리적 체험'으로 정의할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 색채 이미지 공간에서의 단색, 배색의 정보를 활용하여 색채조화를 식별하고, 아동의 그림에서의 심리를 추출해내는 시스템을 제공한다. 우선 색채 이미지공간을 기반으로 감성 데이터베이스를 구축한다. 이후에 영상을 K-Means알고리즘을 이용해 클러스터링 하여 방대한 컬러 값들을 그룹화 시킨 후에 데이터베이스와 매칭을 시켜 감성을 추출해 내고, 아동의 그림에서의 컬러 분포도를 이용하여 아동색채심리를 알아본다.

Experiencing the 3D Color Environment: Understanding User Interaction with a Virtual Reality Interface (3차원 가상 색채 환경 상에서 사용자의 감성적 인터랙션에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to test a large screen and rear-projected virtual reality (VR) interface in color choice for environmental design. The study piloted a single three-dimensional model of a bedroom including furniture in different color combinations. Using a mouse with an $8'{\times}6'$ rear-projector screen, participants could move 360 degree motion in each room. The study used 34 college students who viewed and interacted with virtual rooms projected on a large screen, then filled out a survey. This study aimed to understand the interaction between the users and the VR interface through measurable dimensions of the interaction: interest and user perceptions of presence and emotion. Specifically, the study focused on spatial presence, topic involvement, and enjoyment. Findings should inform design researchers how empirical evidence involving environmental effects can be obtained using a VR interface and how users experience the interaction with the interface.

  • 사람은 개인마다 선호색이 다르다. 때문에 색채를 통해서 개인의 성향을 분석하기도 한다. 일반적으로 난색은 밝고 따뜻한 색으로 활기와 적극성을 띄며 한색은 차갑고 냉정함, 차분함 등과 같은 의미를 지닌다. 이러한 색채가 가지는 의미는 개인의 환경, 성향, 성별, 연령 등에 따라 다르게 나타난다. 색채 선호는 일반적으로 개인이 색채에 대해 좋아하는 정도를 의미하는 것으로 개인의 성향이나 상황, 경험 등에 의해 형성된 지극히 개인적인 색을 말한다. 본 논문에서는 색채 선호를 분석하는 심리 검사 CRR와 Flood Fill 알고리즘을 적용하여 그림에 색채를 채워서 주조색과, 보조색을 각각 Decision Tree에 적용한다. Decision Tree의 결과를 기반으로 데이터베이스와 연동하여 개인의 심리 상태를 분석할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다.

  • In our environment that is developed centered on the water such as emphasizing the importance of environment and discussing the river recovery, the role of medium 'water' has been stressed and the water-friendly space's development has given a sense of stability and refreshment to people's mind. Hence, the importance of river in the city is recognized. Accordingly, this paper is intended to describe the necessity of color management and to suggest the definite landscape formation plan based on it by collecting the type analysis and color landscape by different landscape type and by evaluating the color landscape image. It is expected that this paper will become utilized as the basic frame of case zone.
