This study examined whether the combination of the indoor temperature on the learning environment and the colors of the learning materials affect the learning performance. To do this, the condition of indoor temperature was divided into three conditions: the neutral condition which is the appropriate temperature condition of the learning activities ($22.5{\sim}24^{\circ}C$), the high-temperature condition (> $24^{\circ}C$), and the low-temperature condition (< $22.5^{\circ}C$). In addition, colors of red, blue, black, and green were used as the warm, cold, and neutral colors, and the verbal-working memory task was used as the learning task. As a result, it was not significant differences in the response time of the learning task, whereas, in the accuracy rate of the learning task, the performance was more accurate in red- and black-color conditions. These results could be interpreted as the saliency and color-temperature of the red color, and the familiarity and specificity of the black color.

Paying attention to the fact that Korean traditional ink and color paintings are different in their use of colors this paper was intended to demonstrate outcomes from the difference in their painting style through specific paintings and thereby categorizing a broad range of oriental paintings into 4 types(Indian ink light color, middle color, deep color, present color) in accordance with the method of using colors, suggest directions that oriental color paintings should move toward in the future in the diversity of modem Paintings. Due to the characteristics of materials, oriental ink paintings, in style, are light in color within lines, which in return makes colors confined to a complimentary role in an overall picture, not having their unique color identity Nevertheless, there are some paintings that use dark colors, which is called moderate saturation. For such dark-color based paintings, colors play a key role, together with the characteristics of materials of color painting, as colors are used to express the most part of a picture. This study, thus, discusses the difference in the use of color depending on style on one hand, and examined the diversity of modem color paintings through specific works on the other hand, since a number of color paintings similar to western Painting in style have been created today. In such diversity, works that are being currently created should contribute to taking over the tradition and further develop oriental colors with modem aesthetic sensitivity. This paper is aimed to help to do harmonious works with traditional and modern paintings by studying and classifying varieties of colors

당 공장에서 생산공급되고 있는 동 및 동합금의 스트립(Strip)은 다양한 형태로 가공되어 광범위하게 사용되어 있다. 특히, 생활수준의 향상과 더불어 색채가 아름답고 가격이 저렴한 황동소재는 각종 고급 장식재, 침대, 거울, 액자 등의 구조용 재료로서 사용되며, 인탈산동은 주전자로 널리 사용된다. 그러나 현재 이러한 제품을 가공하는 국내 업체들이 가공에 적합한 소재의 선정 및 가공조건에 대한 기술수준이 낮음으로 인해 종종 품질사고를 일으키고 있다. 이러한 품질사고와 관련하여 조사한 결과를 소개하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is providing a usage of exterior, interior finish materials and color scheme for architectural design and the actual texture and pattern plans of finish materials from Le Corbuisier's work, Chapel Ronchamp. Chapel Ronchamp was analyzed to support the study for the interaction between texture usage and color expression. As a powerful design tool, texture, pattern and color of finish materials are very effective to alter the perception of the facade in the building. Most of architectural buildings, shapes and materials of elevations are monotonous and uniform. This study should be considered by details in the elevation of Chapel Ronchamp. As the part for developing and planning of architectural design, researching color plans and finish material is very important on real expression in the architectural space. As a result, this study will benefit in planning both the exterior and interior environments of color and finish material with texture and pattern.

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the design element in traditional palaces of Korea, China and Japan. It takes threesteps to proceed this study. Firstly, it needs to be established the analysis framework from the documents. In second step, the design elements - the form, the material, the pattern and the color - should be collected and investigated through the observation of the actual traditional palaces the Changduckung, the Forbidden City, the Nijo castle. The third step is the analysis of the results of the investigation of the design elements from step two. To sum up similarities and dissimilarities among the design element in traditional palaces of Korea, China and Japan is as the following It is to be noticed that the mainly common characteristics of the artistic design are 'naturalism', 'harmonious ideas' and 'confucianism'. But the representation style of the design element is differed from the country. : The typical features of China are symmetry, glassy surface by artificial process, the meandered curve, the magnificent pattern and the constrable color. In Japan, the mathematical asymmetry, made-up rough surface by artificial skill, decorativepattern with abbreviation and achromatic color are important feature of the design element. While the major features of Korean design element are asymmetrical balance with nature, rough surface by natural process, moderate pattern and harmonious color.

The aim of this research is to find out the flows of mega-trends and design trends by analyzing the factors that influence trend and design trends in the late 20th century. Moreover, it is to forecast and recommend design color trends by evaluating color trends in design trends for the near future. Secondary and primary research were used in parallel. In the late 20th century, mega-trends were analyzed from secondary research based on PEST. Design trends were analyzed from case studies in fashion, space, product and visual design. On this basis, design color trends were analyzed. Also, color trends were forecast for the near future. The results are as follows. Firstly, the main trends in the late 20th century were 'female thinking', 'back to the nature' and 'heaven of peace'. Second, main design trends in the 1970s were modernism, post-modernism and high-tech. In the 1980s, with those of the 1970s, ecology was introduced In the late 1980s. In the 1990s, modernism rose again and ecology had an influence. The trends of 'female thinking' and 'back to the nature' controled the design in the early 2000s. Third, design colors in the late 20th century changed from Red to Purple Blue. Tones changed from 'grayish' to 'dull' Finally, it was forecast that Purple Blue, Yellow Red and Green colors with 'grayish', 'dull' and 'deep' tones were going to be used mainly in the near future. Also, achromatic colors with female and warm nuances would be reflected in design parts. This research will be very useful in that it has built a concrete database reflected on design trends forecasting in the near future by organizing academically a methodology to identify trends reflected on design and identifying relation between mega-trends and design trends based on analyzing factors that influence trend.

Being an element of plastic arts and a language of plastic forms, the color white has significant potential for improving the quality of physical environment. Colors are dealt with scientifically in chromatics, and also often become an interesting topic when analyzing a society and its history and culture. Thus, an in-depth study of the symbolism of color white and, of white pigment are required because the color has not only an important chromatic value and this should be understood a great deal, but also been the important symbol of a culture in a particular period. This paper examined the significance of the color white identified in Asian and Western cultures based on scientific and psychological understanding of the color. This also analyzed a few major white pigments, then demonstrated different methods of using the pigments and various techniques of expression used by Asian and Western painters. In addition, the paper attempted to raise awareness of the color white as chromatic color over non-color by examining the contrasting viewpoints on the color, and the changes in the viewpoints over time and place.

This study is purposed to understand the usage of the color and the material pattern in detail and to apply for interior architecture. Many documents have prescribed the color and the pattern at random. While the usage of the color and the materials was ignored rather than architectural form, the importance of the color and the materials stands out in modern interior space. The villa, the weekend home of the Savoye family, was built between 1928 and 1931. Particularly, the villa Savoye was focused for this study. Le Corbusier viewed case pieces for storage and wall partition for division as architecture, and he units furniture and architecture by developing partition that could be painted either the wall color to become part of the wall or in contrasting colors to stand out as wall partition. He loved white and lie believed in using it for interiors, but noted that it should also be balanced with a wall related polychromy. Color became an integral part of white structure of the villa savoye that was raised on stilt with an exterior wall at the base painted green as a visual connection with the lawn. Color was used architecturally in the interior as well, with white walls interrupted by planes of pink, blue and red ocher and it gives the space an unexpected playfulness with tile color of the finishing materials. the various usage of the color and material patterns constitute an element of great architectural richness. They have a unique principle based on emotional order and make the man move to another space and experience the spacial connection.

This study attempted to find a new manufacturing method through Basalt fiber and resin infusion method to expand the range of expressions of Contemporary jewelry produced in studios. To this end, the concept of fiber introduction and infusion method was examined through analysis of used cases, and based on this, flat plates and color samples were produced, and then the samples were made to estimate the possibility of direct use in jewelry. As a result, the infusion method process presented certain results that could be used as a production process in the studio, and Basalt fibers were able to express various colors of spray and porselin, especially fiber its painted with porselin, which have high strength and they can be expressed intentionally, it are very valuable as jewelry's material, it is expected to be an opportunity to expand the practical production methods and expressions of Contemporary jewelry.

Based on the natural colors and techniques of Korean traditional Dancheong, the image from splendor and magnificence is used as a jewel in making ornaments by subjective interpretation of the researcher. The purpose of this paper is to propose the possibility of using as a jewelry design by combining the possibilities of various color expressions, the combination of solidity and luster synthetic resin by utilizing natural pigments and mono images used in Korean traditional monophonic. In this study, this study presented the possibility of accessing in the life of a modern person pursuing a lifestyle by introducing a mono image into jewelry design, and at the same time, approaching ornaments by using traditional materials of the past, modern materials, and digital production methods. We are looking for a wide variety of jewelry designs to be utilized.
