Geography has been defined traditionally as a discipline on regions, that is, as chorography, which means regional geography. Regional geography, which once withered up with the development of positivist geography, has gained recently its vitality. In particular, as social theories have been introduced actively into geography since the 1980s, new methodologies for regional geography have been suggested through a series of debates, for example, on spatiality, locality, restructuring, and post-modernism, though there remain still some important conceptual issues which have not yet settled down. On the other hand. new regional geography has made its development and significance for regional development in the age of the so-called globalization in the reality. That is, new regional geography has been required for a systematic conceptualization of region and for a theoretical consideration on the dynamic change of regions in the process of globalization. Furthermore, an emphasis can be given to geography education for new regional geography in order to understand new strategies for regional development.

현재 사람들이 원하는 목적지를 가기 위해 스마트 폰의 여러 지도 애플리케이션들이나 이정표를 이용한다. 그러나 2차원으로 나타나는 스마트폰의 지도 애플리케이션들로 3차원인 현실의 방향을 파악하기란 쉽지 않고, 이정표 또한 안내 가능한 방향, 게시되는 언어의 수가 제한되는 등의 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 보완할 수 있는 구글 맵 API를 이용하여 공간적으로 방향을 안내 해주는 시스템의 설계 및 개발 내용에 대해 기술한다. 이 시스템은 구글맵 API의 검색 기능을 통해 얻은 목적지를 안내판이 회전하여 이용자에게 방향과 거리를 안내함으로써, 3차원인 현실에서의 공간적 방향을 파악하는데 도움을 준다. 또한 기존의 이정표와 달리 새로운 장소에 대해 소프트웨어적인 업데이트만 실시하면 되므로 유지비용을 줄이는 효과를 기대 할 수 있다.

본 연구는 현실과는 다른 공간, 시대 및 문화적 배경 등을 디자인하고 그 속에서 살아가는 메타버스 가상 세계를 작품으로 제시한다. 제시된 작품인 언플래닛 시티(Unplanet City)는 상징적 의미가 담긴 조형 언어를 통해 새롭게 창조된 도시를 의미하며, 기존 도시와 대칭점에 있는 상상 속 세상이다. 현재 우리가 사는 플래닛과 대칭되는 언플래닛 시티에는 상징적인 건축물로 가득하며, 이 건축물들은 3D로 표현되었다. 언플래닛 시티는 작품 전체가 전시 공간이 되는 새로운 전시 공간의 활용과 확장 가능성에 목적을 둔다.

The communication environment made by digital technologies has made it possible to exchange information and deliver messages fast and easily among people of various classes in virtual space beyond time and space. Net-generation, who is accustomed to this virtual space, couldn't be satisfied with the linear text-oriented language any more, and began to make signs by use of computers in order to differentiate itself from others and to express its desires. Among the signs, emoticon created by joint of popular culture and digital communication centering around young generation is a new visual sign and emotional sign that can deliver a sender's feelings contained in a message. This paper has studied social phenomena, their relationships with emoticon and background of its creation through documentary review of media development, changes in the communication environment and popular culture. Furthermore, it has analyzed the meaningful action and roles of emoticon as a sign in terms of semiotics and also, studied a possibility of using emoticon as a new emotional sign. The study results say that emoticon can play the roles of a non-linguistic sign just like general signs that make mutual exchange through meaningful action, and also that it can be used to effectively deliver messages not only in virtual space, but also in advertising, posters, magazines and CI. However, emoticon is better at emotional expressions yet than other textual signs or visual signs, but in order to position itself as a universal and popular sign, emotional expressions should be clear, any difference in understanding messages should be removed, and message delivery should be more efficient.

According to the evolution of the Internet and wireless mobile communication technology, techniques for mobile databases and wireless web services are issued for them. Recently, these changes of geographic application environment increase the needs for development of new GIS database system for the web services and embedded system. In this paper, we proposed a Jana-based web database systems that can be used in the web-based GIS and mobile databases. This proposed system has been implemented using the Java to be displayed easily into the portable computing devices and Java-based web application servers and using OpenGIS for web data interoperability. Also, it can efficiently process web-based spatial queries by developing a spatial query processor including schema manager and a spatial object storage module.

본 논문은 한국어 서브워드 기반 워드 임베딩 기술을 다룬다. 미등록어 문제를 가진 기존 워드 임베딩 기술을 대체할 수 있는 새로운 워드 임베딩 기술을 한국어에 적용하기 위해, 음소열 기반 서브워드 자질 검증을 진행한다. 기존 서브워드 자질은 문자 n-gram을 사용한다. 한국어의 경우 특정 단음절 발음은 단어에 따라 달라진다. 여기서 음소열 n-gram은 특정 서브워드 자질의 변별력을 확보할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 본 논문은 서브워드 임베딩 기술을 재구현하여, 영어 환경에서 기존 워드 임베딩 사례와 비교하여 성능 우위를 확보한다. 또한, 한국어 음소열 자질을 활용한 실험 결과에서 의미적으로 보다 유사한 어휘를 벡터 공간상에 근접시키는 결과를 보여 준다.

본 논문은 보조사로 인해 야기되는 한국어 미지격의 구문관계 중의성 해소를 위한 새로운 기법을 제안한다. 기존의 연구는 수작업으로 얻어진 동사의 의미적 선택 제약을 사용하는 방식과 단어 간의 공기패턴과 빈도를 어휘 레벨에서 추출하여 중의성을 해소하는 방식으로 나뉠 수 있다. 본 논문은 말뭉치에서 어휘 레벨이 아닌 개념패턴과 격의 분포 값을 자동으로 추출하여 미지격의 구문관계를 결정한다. 개념패턴과 용언의 격 분포 정보를 적용하여 구문분석 단계에서 실험한 결과, 본 논문이 제안한 방법은 92%의 미지격 결정 정확율을 보였다. 개념패턴은 지식의 저장공간을 줄이고 격 결정 범위를 확장할 수 있기에 범용 구문분석 시스템으로의 확장을 가능하게 한다.

최근 기업간 거래는 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 기업간 전자상거래(B2B: business to business electronic commerce)로 시간과 공간을 초월하여 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 국내·외 많은 기업들은 인터넷 기반의 비즈니스와 정보교환으로 업무 효율화 및 기업 경쟁력 강화에 중점을 두고 있다. 최근 온라인 환경의 인터넷 EDI 방식에 많은 기업들이 관심을 가지고 있으며, 전통적 EDI방식의 문제 해결방안으로 웹 문서를 많이 활용하고 있다. 또한, 현재까지 웹 문서는 HTML을 사용하여 정의되고 있는데, 이러한 HTML은 간편한 사용과 높은 이식성을 가진다. 그러나 기업간 발생하는 다양한 문서양식을 표현하기 힘들며, 기업간 서로 상이한 정보시스템에서 발생되는 거래 데이터 등의 통합이 불가능하다 그래서 최근 HTML의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 새로운 언어로 XML이 등장하여 인터넷 기반의 B2B에서 기업간 정보 교환에 적용되어 질 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존 웹 기반의 기업간 수주처리시스템에 XML 언어를 사용한 기업간 데이터 통합 방안을 제시한다. 또한 이를 ‘H’기업에 적용하여 프로토타입 시스템을 구현하고, 그 기대효과를 제시한다.

최근의 새로운 교수 학습 형태인 웹기반 교육에서의 가장 중요한 요소는 시.공간적으로 떨어져 있는 학습자의 학습 상황을 파악하고 분석하여, 학습자에게 적절한 학습내용과 과정을 제시하는 하는 것이 무엇보다도 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 웹기반 교수 시스템에서 학습자의 수준에 맞는 적합한 학습 내용과 평가 문제를 제공하고, 그 평가 결과를 분석하여 반복학습 및 심화학습을 효과적으로 제공하고, 차기 학습을 할 경우에 이에 기초하여 적절한 학습이 이루어질 수 있도록 한다. 이를 위해 코스웨어를 설계시 학습목표의 중요도, 학습내용의 난이도, 학습목표와 학습내용과의 관련성과 각 항목의 가중치를 고려한 퍼지 함수에 의해 퍼지 소속성을 가진 퍼지 언어 변수로 각 프레임에 대한 수준을 표현한다. 또한, 학습의 평가도 문제의 난이도, 관련학습 자료의 난이도, 관련 학습목표의 중요도, 각각의 관련성을 고려하여 퍼지 함수에 의해 언어 변수로 평가된다. 이와 같이 퍼지 함수를 이용함으로써 학습자의 수준을 분석하고, 이에 적절한 학습 및 평가 내용을 제공하는데 여러가지 다양하고 불확실한 요소들을 고려하여 처리함으로써 보다 융통성 있고 효과적인 교수 학습 방법이 될 수 있다.

China's urban regeneration, which has been focused on economic growth since the 1950's, has brought about the uniformity of cities. In order to improve on this, the urban regeneration policy has been transformed into a cultural city resource, which is promoting urban regeneration while utilizing the cultural characteristics of each region. However, the specific application methods are still lacking. In this study, I attempt to modify the apartment environment of the city, Hanan-sung, based on the pattern-language of Christopher Alexander, a space planning tool that can be used in urban regeneration. First, 23 patterns were chosen from the primary pattern-language. Next, I investigated the characteristics of the traditional housing culture of Hanan-sung through the literature review, surveyed the opinions of current apartment residents, and summarized the requirements. Finally, a new pattern-language was developed for the regeneration of the old apartments from the viewpoint of the culture, by modifying it according to the characteristics and requirements of housing culture of Hanan-sung which summarizes 23 pattern-languages.
