A Study on Structural Safety Evaluation of Improved PSC Beam Bridges Considering To-Box Reinforcement Effect (박스형 보강효과를 고려한 개선된 PSC Beam교의 구조 안전성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • The deteriorated PSC Beam bridge is necessary improved reinforcement method. In the study, it is proposed the box reinforcing method which could make the stiffness of the PSC Beam bridges increase more stably through the secondary composition effect of open type PSC Beam bridge's girder which is converted into the consolidation box type and the half panel is formed between the lower flange of the PSC Beam about the deteriorated PSC Beam bridge suffering the capacity decline. In case the proposed reinforcement method combine with the existed external prestressed method, the close analysis depending on the time is conducted by the construction stage because of searching the effect of reinforcement quantitatively. The reinforcement method of the box type which is proposed an efficiency improvement in objective in application case, by a reinforcement method after proposing the whole and bend sectional reinforcement method, against a each reinforcement method evaluated the upward camber which it follows in secondary composite effect and a member stress characteristics. Also, the structural safety of PSC Beam bridge is evaluated quantitatively by examining of rating factor through load carrying capacity evaluation.

Playback Downlink and Telecommand Uplink Channel Design for Transportable KOMPSAT Ground Station (이동형 다목적실용위성 소형 관제국의 Playback 하향 링크 및 원격 명령 상향 링크 채널 설계)

  • This paper describes playback downlink and telecommand uplink channel design performed for a transportable small-sized KOMPSAT(Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite) ground station. As a result of downlink channel design, required receiving performance was calculated from the threshold signal-to-noise ratio of playback signal and it was revealed that this performance can be guaranteed in 1.5 m ground station with 6.5 dB/K of G/T. For the uplink channel design, 40 dBW of EIRP was derived from the threshold signal-to-noise ratio of telecommand signal received at on-board receiver. The implemented small-sized ground station based on design was evaluated to be fully acceptable for KOMPSAT TT&C(Telemetry, Tracking and Command) system and playback downlink design without taking account of additional 3 dB system link margin was shown to be effective because it had provided constantly initial channel performance without any remarkable degradation over several years of tests with KOMPSAT and KOMPSAT-2, for both uplink and playback downlink in the elevation angle above $10^{\circ}$.

  • For the DRT satellite transponder system, BER and total SNR to be required in the earth terminal are evaluated under the condition of HPA nonlinearity in the FBJ(full-band jamming) or PBJ(partial-band jamming) of uplink and downlink. In case that the satellite Inter bandwidth( Ws) is same to the earth terminal bandwidth($W_r$),in conditions of uplink JSR 10[dB], downlink JSR 10[dB] and processing gain 30[dB], linear transponder system shows that uplink SNR needs to be 14.2[dB] to achieve the total SNR 10[dB] requirement in downlink SNR 14[dB]. However, Nonlinear transponder system with OBO(output backoff) 2[dB] requires 20.1 [dB] uplink SNR. From the above results, the nonlinearity of HPA in the satellite transponder causes the degradation of BER performance so that it is of interest to consider the power increase.

  • In order to investigate the influence of feed water inequity on the settling performance for parallel arranged upflow sedimentation basin in domestic G_WTP(Water Treatment Plant), CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation were employed and ADV(Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter) measurements were carried out. From the results of both CFD simulations and ADV measurements, the differences among inlet flow rates to each inlet structure make turbulent energy dissipation uneven overall sedimentation basin. Especially local velocities in the near of both side wall were observed over the design overflow rate(74.4 mm/min). Also, it was confirmed that this inequity of inlet flow would exert an serious influence on the turbidity of settled water which is out from 8 troughs. Even though experimental velocities in full scale basin about 20% higher than the simulated, the results of ADV measurement were in good accordance with those of CFD simulations.

  • 다층 panel형 cryoarray를 갖는 원통형 cryopump의 정적 pumping 특성을 view factor를 이용한 수치적 방법으로 해석하였다. 해석모델은 단순 원판을 기본으로 하고, 여기 에 상향 및 하향의 skirt를 부착한 실질적 array를 대상으로 하였으며, 형상, 크기 및 panel 개수를 변화시키면서 array 전체의 총 pumping 효율과 array 내의 pumping 속도 분포를 모두 구하였다. 다층 panel array에서도 single panel의 경우와 같이 type III 개스(He, H2) 에 있어서는 pumping 효율을 최대로 하는 최적의 크기가 있으며, panel 수효가 증가하면 pumping 속도는 약간만 증가하나 총 pumping 용량은 이에 비례하여 증가한다. Skirt의 각 도를 상향으로 변화시키면 type III 개스의 상대적 pumping 속도가 증가되며 type II 개스에 의한 cryosorbent의 오염도는 대략 10% 정도이다.

  • In this paper, we design and performance evaluate the equalizer for S-DMT table modem, which supports more channels and better quality symmetric mutimedia services over HFC network. We verified that both of the designed equalizers show good convergence characteristics and that the performance of the time domain equalizer is 1 dB better than that of the frequency domain equalizer overall range of Eb/No.

  • 제3세대 이동 통신 시스템에서 상향 링크와 하향 링크 사이에 불균형적인 타임 슬롯 할당이 가능한 TD/CDMA TDD 시스템은 비대칭적인 트래픽을 효과적으로 분배하는데 적합하다. 게다가 TD/CDMA TDD 시스템은 슬롯이 시간 영역과 코드 영역에서 정의되기 때문에 유효 자원의 statistical multiplexing이 매우 효과적이다. 그러나 상향 링크와 하향 링크사이의 트래픽의 비대칭성을 반영하기 위해서 타임 슬롯을 최적으로 할당시킬 수 있는 동적 경계선이 요구된다. 본 논문에서 슬롯의 하향 링크부분이 이동국의 접근 시도의 정도에 따라 최대화되는 새로운 최적의 TDD 경계선 제어 움직임 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘에서 이동국의 평균 접근 시도가 미리 정의된 상한 임계치를 초과할 경우, TDD 경계선은 평균 접근 시도가 다른 하한 임계치 아래로 내려갈 때까지 프레임의 중앙에 위치한다. 본 논문에서 모의실험 결과를 통하여 제안된 알고리즘이 기존의 TDD 경계선 알고리즘보다 데이터 트래픽의 평균 접근 지연과 음성 트래픽의 블록킹 확률 측면에서 훨씬 더 좋은 성능을 나타냄을 입증하였다.

  • IDF(intensity-duration-frequency) 곡선은 재현기간을 고려하여 수공구조물 설계에 필요한 설계강우량을 산정하는데 사용되고 있다. 국내의 경우 IDF 곡선은 지점빈도해석으로부터 지속기간별로 산정되고 있으며 지속기간별 분포형 선택과 같은 많은 가정으로 인해 불확실성을 내포하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 극한 강우량의 스케일 특성을 통해 서로 다른 기간에 걸쳐 통계적으로 접근하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 지속기간 24시간의 강우자료로부터 연최대강우량을 추출하여 스케일 특성을 통해 지속기간 24시간 이하 또는 이상의 스케일링(scaling) IDF 곡선을 유도하였다. 본 연구를 위해 k-means 방법으로부터 지역을 구분하여 지역빈도해석을 실시하였고, 기상청 산하의 강우 지점을 미계측 지점으로 가정한 후 하향스케일링(down-scaling)과 상향스케일링(up-scaling)을 적용한 후 지속기간 24시간 이외의 확률강우량을 추정하였으며, 빈도해석 결과와의 비교를 통해 스케일링 IDF 곡선의 적용성을 판단하였다.

Psychological functions and values of counterfactual thinking (사후가정사고의 심리적 기능과 응용적 가치)

  • Counterfactual thinking refers to a mental simulation of "What might have been," a cognitive process of once-possible-but-unrealized alternatives to facts, Counterfactuals have been reported to produce intensive emotional experiences, specifically regret. The present research reviewed and tried to integrate the previous inconsistent findings in the view of functional value of counterfactuals. Social psychologists proposed that counterfactuals could be categorized into upward(thoughts of better alternatives) versus downward(thoughts of worse alternatives) and additive versus subtractive. Counterfactual processes are more likely to occur following negative or unexpected rather than positive expected outcome, consistent with the minimization-mobilization hypothesis. Downward counterfactuals serve affective functions(to make one feel better) through contrast effects. Upward counterfactuals serve preparative functions(to prepare and improve performance in the future similar tasks) through causal inferences. Also, upward counterfactuals have been demonstrated in several studies to be followed by success-related attitudes and intentions and actual performance improvement. Furthermore, in terms of regulatory focus, downward counterfactuals were related with the prevention focus(to maintain the current status and upward counterfactuals were related with the promotion focus(to improve the current status). Those findings from numerous studies support that counterfactuals are functional to serve human ongoing motives. In conclusion, applicability and limitation of functional value of counterfactual thinking were discussed.
