Public Design of Bus Station for Cheongju City with Plant Container Function (녹지시설 개념을 적용한 청주시의 버스정류장 공공디자인)

  • This design study was conducted to plan and propose the bus-station as the public design for Cheongju City. The study was provided other purposes which designed its function as plant container and revealed the brand identity of Cheongju City, Jikji. At planning stage, design plant container with motif from top roof of the Early Printing Museum of Cheongju. And planed it located on the top of facility. The facilities, with design factors that increase satisfaction, were planed through the analysis of user behavior. The narrow frame and transparent wall were intended to establish clear sight for its users or pedestrians on road. In order to harmonize with urban surroundings, decreased the fanciness of designed figure and used achromatic color as lead main color.

Observation of Moisture Fluctuations in the Upper Canopy and the Ground Surface of Deogyusan-Flux (덕유산 flux관측소의 군락 상층부와 지표면에서의 수분이동 관측)

  • In this paper, lysimeter was installed to analyze the moisture fluctuations on the surface of a forest. The weight of the soil was measured, and the moisture fluctuations were calculated through the difference in weight over time. The amount of dew condensation on the surface of the ground was about 2-7 mm. January experienced the most dew condensation (7.2 mm). It was found that about 43 mm of dew condensation was generated over one year. To analyze the characteristics of evapotranspiration in the forest, the evapotranspiration on the surface was measured by the lysimeter method and the evapotranspiration on the upper part of the canopy was measured by the eddy covariance method. These results were compared and analyzed. Until mid-October, the evapotranspiration of the forest was active, and the amount of evapotranspiration on the top of the canopy was higher than the amount on the surface. Thereafter, the amount of evapotranspiration on the top of the canopy decreased due to the lowering of temperature and net-radiation. The amount of evapotranspiration on the surface and above the canopy showed the same tendency.

  • 생태유량은 하천에 서식하는 동·식물 등의 서식처 조건을 고려하여 갈수시에도 최소한의 하천생태계가 유지될 수 있도록 하는 유량이다. 이는 하천의 적정유량으로 적용할 수 있는 생태적 기준의 하나이며 수생생물의 물리적 서식처 적합도를 이용하여 산정할 수 있다. 특히 하천 생태계의 먹이 사슬 상층부에 속하는 어류는 서식처의 물리적 조건에 민감하므로 적절한 유량을 보장해 주는 것이 중요하며, 이러한 이유로 생태유량 산정에 어류의 서식처 조건이 주로 이용된다. 본 연구에서는 다목적댐의 건설과 준설 및 매립 등으로 유황 변동과 하류 염해 피해 등에 의한 하구 생태계 변화 등을 겪고 있는 섬진강 수계를 대상으로 송정, 겸백, 화개 세 지점에 대해 생태유량을 산정하였다. 이 생태유량은 섬진강 수계에서는 직접 측정에 한계가 있어 금강에서 측정된 피라미의 서식처 적합도 지수를 이용하였고, 지점의 하상재료 및 환경 조건을 반영하여 PHABSIM을 이용하여 산정되었다. 그 결과 송정의 최적 생태유량은 8.5㎥/s, 겸백은 2.26㎥/s, 그리고 화개 지점은 36㎥/s로 산정되었다. PHABSIM을 이용한 생태유량 산정 값은 지점에 따라 다소 과대 추정되는 경향이 있기도 하지만, 섬진강 수계의 해수 침투 등에 의한 염해 피해 대책 마련 등을 위해서는 산정된 유지유량을 확보하기 위한 해결 방안이 제시되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

Community Distribution on Mountain Forest Vegetation of the Gyebangsan Area in the Odaesan National Park, Korea (오대산 국립공원 계방산 일대 삼림식생의 군락분포에 관한 연구)

  • The mountain forest vegetation of Gyebangsan (1,577 m) in Odaesan National Park is classified into deciduous broad-leaved forest, mountain valley forest, coniferous forest, subalpine coniferous forest, subalpine deciduous forest, plantation forest, and other vegetation which includes Actinidia argute community and agricultural land. As for the number of communities distributed in the each forest vegetation which were categorized by the physiognomy classification, deciduous broad-leaved forest had 33 communities, mountain valley forest 41 communities, coniferous forest 8 communities, subalpine coniferous forest 4 communities, subalpine deciduous forest 2 communities, plantation forest 6 communities and other vegetation 4 communities. Regarding the distribution rate of communities in the vegetation, in the deciduous broad-leaved forest. Quercus mongolica community accounted for 80.226% with $30,909,942.967m^2$, followed by Quercus variabilis community of 2.771% with $1,067,479.335m^2$. 55.463% of deciduous broad-leaved forest in the Gyebangsan had Quercus mongolica as a dominant or second dominant species. In the mountain valley forest, Fraxinus rhynchophylla - Juglans mandshurica community accounted for 10.955%. And there were ten mixed communities having Fraxinus rhynchophylla and upper layer at a similar level of coverage, taking up 32.776%. In the coniferous forest, Pinus densiflora and the community living with Pinus densiflora accounted for 100%, showing that the coniferous forest has the community with Pinus densiflora as a dominant species at upper layer. For other vegetation, subalpine coniferous forest had a total of four communities including Abies holophylla - Quercus mongolica community, and accounted for 4.980% of vegetation area of Odaesan National Park. Two communities including Betula ermani - Cornus controversa community were found in the subalpine deciduous forest, taking up 0.006% of total vegetation area of Odaesan National Park. Regarding plantation forest, Larix leptolepis was planted the most with 51.652%, followed by Betula platyphylla var. japonica with 38.975%, and Pinus koraiensis with 7.969%. These three species combined accounted for 98.565%. In conclusion, the forest vegetation found in the Gyebangsan of Odaesan National Park has Quercus mongolica as a dominant species at the top layer. A lot of other communities related with this species are expected to be quickly replaced due to vegetation succession and climatic causes. Therefore, Quercus mongolica is expected to become the main species in the deciduous broad-leaved forest, Fraxinus rhynchophylla, Juglans mandshurica and Fraxinus mandshurica in the mountain valley forest. Around the border line between deciduous broad-leaved forest and mountain valley forest, highly humid valley area is expected to be quickly taken up by Cornus controversa and Fraxinus mandshurica, and the slope area by Quercus mongolica. However, in the subalpine coniferous forest, the distribution rate of deciduous broad-leaved trees is expected to increase due to climate warming.

Performance Evaluation and Improvement of Operational Aviation Turbulence Prediction Model for Middle- and Upper- Levels (중·상층 항공난류 예측모델의 성능 평가와 개선)

  • Aviation turbulence, caused by atmospheric eddies, is a disruptive phenomenon that leads to abrupt aircraft movements during flight. To minimize the damages caused by such aviation turbulence, the Aviation Meteorological Office provides turbulence information through the Korea aviation Turbulence Guidance (KTG) and the Global-Korean aviation Turbulence Guidance (GKTG). In this study, we evaluated the performance of the KTG and GKTG models by comparing the in-situ EDR observation data and the generated aviation turbulence prediction data collected from the mid-level Korean Peninsula region from January 2019 to December 2021. Through objective validation, we confirmed the level of prediction performance and proposed improvement measures based on it. As a result of the improvements, the KTG model showed minimal difference in performance before and after the changes, while the GKTG model exhibited an increase of TSS after the improvements.

Annual Net Production and the Stability of the Puer Phragmites communis Grassland on the Lower Course of Nakdong River (낙동강 하류의 순갈대초지에 있어서 년순생산성과 그 안정성에 관한 연구)

  • In the pure Phragmites communis grassland in the lower course of Nakdong river, the seasonal changes of standing crop and productive structure, annual changes of the maximum standing crop, and annual net production were estimated. The maximum standing crop of the pure P. communis grassland is on mid-September, the maximum average daily productivity was $32.7g/m^2/day$ from June to July. The leaf area index of the pure reed grassland increased to July, and then decreased slowly. The logitudinal growth of above-ground parts of the reed grassland was maximum state, 320cm, on mid September. Annual net production was $3,399g/m^2/year$, and it suggests that grassland is stable. Productive structure of the pure reed grassland indicated that the distribution of leaf was concentrated on the upper parts according to the grassland maturation.

Vertical Direction Redistribution of Beam Moments in the Seismic Design of RC Frame (RC 골조의 내진설계에서 보 모멘트의 수직방향 재분배)

  • For the lateral load resistance of a RC frame in a medium risk seismic zone, the strength of lower story beams and columns should be larger than those of the upper stories. However, the lateral loads can be accommodated by redistributing design beam moments vertically as well as horizontally so all beams end up with identical strengths. This paper looks at the impact of the vertical redistribution of beam moments to provide identical beam strength over as many floors as possible. Two-bay six-story RC frame was designed with and without vertical beam moment redistribution and its seismic performance were evaluated by using push-over limit analysis and by non-linear time history dynamic analysis. Analytical results show that with the use of vertical beam moment redistribution the increase in the ductility demand is similar to the proportion of moment redistribution applied, but this additional demand is below the ductility capacity of well detailed RC members.

  • Recently, the resizing algorithms based on the displacement participation factors have been developed for sizing members to satisfy stiffness criteria. It is proved that this resizing algorithms made for utilizing worker's stiffness design are practical and rational due to the simplicity and convenience of the method. The resizing algorithm can be practically and effectively applied to drift design of buildings. However, the researches on the change of inelastic behavior by the resizing algorithm has been insufficient. To identify the effect on the inelastic behavior of buildings by the resizing method, this study used the reinforced concrete shear wall-frame example. Through the application of the resizing method, the weights of shear wall in the lower class and the weights of columns and beams in the upper class increased respectively. And the initial stiffness of the building increased and the ductility of the buildings had similar with that of the initial structure.

Changes of Species Diversity and Development of Vegetation Structure during Abandoned Field Succession after Shifting Cultivation in Korea (화전 후 묵밭의 식생 천이에 따른 종다양성 및 식생 구조의 발달)

  • Changes of the species diversity and development of vegetation structure during abandoned field succession after shifting cultivation were investigated in Pyoungchang, Gangwon-Do, Korea. The height of top layer tended to increase rapidly during the earlier successional stages and stabilize in the later successional stage. The heights of top layer in the 10, 20, 50 and 80 year old-field were 4, 9, 18 and 18 m, respectively. In this region, thirty five year after abandonment need for the development to the normal forest formed by 4 stratum structure, tree, sub-tree, shrub and herb layer. Among the vegetation values, Ivc showed a tendency to increase logarithmically, and Hcl a tendency to increase linearly during abandoned field succession. Species diversity showed the peak in mid-successional stages ($10{\sim}20$ year old-field) and declined slightly thereafter. Species diversity was correlated closely with the species richness than the evenness. The most woody species established in the earlier stage ($2{\sim}6$ year old-field) and turned over their dominance step by step during succession. These results support the IFC model proposed by Egler (1954).

  • In recently, foods must to be contained a health point and fashionable feeling, mayonnaise was called pronoun of dressing must be changes to new products. At this point, new type's dressing oil was research and developing used for raw- materials of 13 kinds. Red pepper seasoning oil, seasoning soy sauce, seasoning solution and seasoning oil were manufactured from soy sauce, vinegar, garlic etc. Manufacturing of new type's dressing oil(DO) could from only blending of these seasoning raw-materials. The result of organoleptic test about vegetables, pizzas and meats was esquired a distinction. According to, it was treated to addition of a functional raw-materials. In this study, it was investigated red pepper DO and DO for diabetic, adult disease patient as well as DO for children, Japanese dining room, general man etc. But these DO products had trouble to layer separation of upper layer and bottom layer, this problem was happened to shaking. This troubles were able to treat gums and emulsifiers.
