Brand as determinant of evaluation of product personality-a cross-cultural study- (문화적 차이에 따라 브랜드 개성이 제품 개성에 미치는 영향의 비교에 대한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 브랜드 개성이 제품의 개성을 판단하는데 영향을 미치는가에 대하여 설문을 통해 살펴보았다. 동일한 제품에 대하여 개성이 상이한 브랜드가 적용되었을 경우 제품의 개성을 판단함에 있어 브랜드 개성의 특성이 반영되는지 여부를 확인하고자 하였다. 설문을 위하여 두 켤레의 신발을 준비하였으며 각각은 상징적인 측면이 강조된 여성용 하이힐 제품과 기능적인 측면이 강조된 운동화로 구성하였다. 각 제품에 대하여 명품브랜드(Versace), 일반 상용 브랜드(독일: C&A, 한국: 밀리오레), 그리고 브랜드가 부착되지 않은 총 6장의 사진을 준비하였다. 실험에 앞서 별도의 피험자들이 상기 사용된 브랜드들에 대하여 "frohlich/유쾌함(cheerful)", "ehrlich/정직함(honest)", "provokativ/도발적인(provocative)"의 형용사로 평가를 하였다. 본 실험에서는 실험참여자에게 각 신발들의 3가지 사진 중 무작위로 선정된 사진을 한 장씩 보여주고, 각각에 대해 브랜드 측정에 사용했던 동일한 평가항목을 이용하여 평가하도록 했다. 더불어, 본 연구는 개인주의 문화권에 비하여 집단주의 문화권에서 브랜드의 영향이 더 두드러지게 나타나는 지를 알아보기 위하여 독일의 만하임대학(Universitaet Mannheim)과 한국의 한국과학기술원(KAIST) 학생들을 위주로 설문을 실시하여 문화적 차이에 따른 브랜드 영향력을 비교하고자 하였다. 실험결과에서는 독일과 한국 모두에서 브랜드 개성이 제품 개성에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으나, 브랜드 개성이 제품의 기능적 측면(가격)에는 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<.001).

  • In an extended enterprise, there is a shift to shared services, cosourcing and outsourcing, and extending out to partners, suppliers, and customers to accomplish business objectives more effectively. Along with this critical need, executives should be aware of the need to focus on optimizing the value of their information technology and reducing the related risks. So IT governance is critical, and many companies including spin-off venture are providing IT governance solution, but very little is known about brand management and marketing strategy of IT governance solution provider. The purpose of this study is to investigate brand positioning of IT governance solution company focusing on spin-off venture. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, brand management is needed in the spin-off venture. second, IT governance solution companies including spin-off venture must provide something more than functional value. That is, they actively seek to emotional or symbolic value for their customers.

  • From the 21st century, characters have been developed and managed by many companies, organizations and groups due to public-friendly elements, Community Identity Program, value of utilization for OSMU, etc. This study was carried out according to a plan of developing a character and making an application in ACC Children based on Asia Culture, which was implemented as ACC Children contents R&D project from 2014 to 2016. This R&D and purpose is significant because of laying the groundwork for identity system making it possible to increase the brand value of ACC Children and symbolize ACC Children by developing a character, application and name suitable for the philosophy and function of ACC Children that will be used together with CI of Asia Culture Center. With regard to the research method and scope, Asia is divided into 5 regions, and 100 representative stories in Asia are selected, and a storytelling-based character, application and name with connotative symbol and meaning pursued by ACC Children is developed by choosing and analyzing symbolic animals according to consulting and survey. The characters of ACC Children give publicity to the symbolism of ACC Children, and are actively utilized for OSMU.

  • The primary purpose of this study is to understand academic library service as a brand and a set of brand offerings. Based on previous studies, the study has built a classification of three distinctive perceptual aspects of library services; perceptual aspect of the service, experiential aspect of the service, and functional aspect of service. Eleven measurement items and 45 questions that are subject to the items are studied and employed from previous studies, each of the items were allocated through Item Response Theory (IRT) test and cluster analysis to filter in items of substantial contribution to the constructs as well as filtering out less contributable ones. The study shows there are 27 effective items to understand and measure library service as a brand.

  • Part of public arts, environmental sculpture not only enhance the beauty of a building, but also a landmark having intimate values with the city environment and symbolic meanings. 'Space storytelling' is not only a connecting bridge between the space and human, but also plays a role in promoting creation of story like a catalyst. Storytelling is expanding to many related industries and one of which is artistic structure, and the storytelling of residental space is getting widely applied to establish the competitive superiority. The purpose of this study involves logically examination the service deliver process of space storytelling based on the residential space. And this study expected to research the influencing factors about purchase and service delivery process of artistic structure.

  • This paper introduces an irrigation facility for agricultural use of Rokugo alluvial fan in Yokote Basin, northeastern Japan. A cylindrical distributor of agricultural water is able to supply water accurately to seven irrigated areas through its 180 orifices and one circular baffle, implying that people around fan areas has been tenacious of agricultural water. It has been recently reevaluated as tourism resources or symbolic landscape reflecting regional characteristics even though its functional value has decreased.

  • In the confusion of communication, the monogram is the very important symbol of information communication as the visual language for the identity, which have became gradually the important role as the most excellent competence of the visual message. By study the nature, function and symbolism of a monogram in formative element of symbol design, we have the aims in this study to help the design study groups in this country to develop the korean monogram with a correct understanding of mooogram in the present state of korean monogram.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the meaning and function of black and white in the comic strip, which are mounted on the book pages. The role of space in comic strip, compared to the role of time in the cinema, enable to feel the role of the time in the book. Therefore storytelling of comic strip has been placed in the inseparable relationship with space. My aim is to think about the black and white meaning in the visual media, especially the use of black and white which is highlighted in the comic strip. Black and white doesn't mean a loss of color in the comic strip but it works around 2 important notions : readability, modernity (with minimalism). In comic strip, 'black and white' is not a true colour but it is complex items which indicate symbolic significances. Moreover it is also a notion which enhance 'existence and absence' and 'visible and invisible'. That's why to analyze and to understand how the space is organized in comic strip page, i chose several examples extract from black and white comic strip.

  • 당산철교 경관조명 연출은 철교라는 특징에 부각하면서 독창성, 조화성, 기능성, 경제성, 관광성등을 고려하였으며. 디자인의 컨셉은 지하철 2호선의 상징 색이 Green컬러를 기본으로 구조적 조형미, 다양한 조망에 대한 배려, 빛의 색감, 조명 방식등을 기본컨셉으로로 하였으며, 전원공급은 지하철 2호선 당산역 구내 전기실을 이용하여 3상4선식 380/220V로 공급받아 남단과 북단에 각각 1개소에 PANEL을 설치하여 각각의 램프에 공급하였다.
