The purpose of this paper is to study on colonial modernity of commercial space in the case of commercial companies in Kyungsung(Seoul) during Japanese colonial period. Commercial companies in Bonjung2jungmok had the greatest growth in the numbers and the scale of company's capital from 1920s to 1930s. Japanese's commercial companies had concentrated in Bonjung1jungmok and the scale of Japanese's capital had been the greatest in Hwanggumjung2jungmok. Korean merchants had tried to change their commercial organization to modern and capitalistic system in the face of infiltration of Japanese merchant capital in Kyungsung. They had established some modern stock companies and had managed a few companies of large capital such as Hwasbinyeonshejum(a multiple shop) in Jongro2jungmok. We may observe the modernity of commercial companies in some modern stock commercial companies and the activities of commercial merchants in Kyungsung. But Korean's commercial companies had been small-scale businesses in comparison with Japanese's commercial companies. Colonialism in commercial space in Kyungsung had been appeared doubly in ethnical segregation of commercial activities and the scale of commercial capital.

The purpose of this study is to analyze how financial and commercial space in Jeonju had changed after Japanese rule. The biggest local bank was located near the Chungangdong post office in Taisyoudoori and the other bank facilities were located near the Jeonrabuk-do provincial office and Nammun market. Periodic markets and permanent stores were major commercial activities in Jeonju. Many stores and commercial companies established by many Chosun merchants near Nammun markets. Chosun commercial companies were superior to Japanese commercial companies in both number and capital scale. Japanese commercial companies were concentrated on Taisyoudoori(Jungang Road). Commercial activities in Jeonju were segregated by ethnic group. Financial and commercial activities were concentrated on Taisyoudoori and Ekimaedoori(Nammun Road).

Gaesung was the Mecca of Korean ginseng. Factors that Gaesung has been a leading brand of Korean ginseng were multiplicative. Those were natural conditions and huge commercial capital, red ginseng factory, creative business systems and etc. We can quote BongSang Son, SungHak Kong and JeongHo Kim as a famous Gaesung' ginseng merchants. They, as leaders modern ginseng industry had supplied the method of cultivation, prevention of phyto-diseases, excellent ginseng seed, and prepayment system of farming capital. The Gaesung merchants also adopted modern marketing techniques : commercial advertisement, made-order sales, changing package of the ginseng products. The book 'The Dictionary of Korean Companies and Stores' which was published in 1927 introduces BongSang Son as a great businessman in Gaesung. He was not only merchants but also educator and social worker. He practiced the spirit of entrepreneurship. BongSang Son's role of pioneer contributed to the development of Korean ginseng and Gaesung. Due to such efforts of Gaesung merchants, Korean ginseng industry were took a great step forward. This article considered the development of Korean ginseng industry through the life and achievement of the ginseng magnate BongSang Son who was a representative one of Gaesung merchants.

American Electric Power회사에서 건설항 미국최초의 A.C 765kV송전선과 변전소에서 일련의 159회에 달하는 개폐시험과 기타시험을 상업운전에 앞서 시행하였다. 여기서 얻은 광범위한 Data, 즉 여러 조건하에서의 개폐서어지전압, 기기특성, 과전압억제방법, Radio장해 및 가청잡음등에 대해 설계치와 비교검토하였으며 그 결과를 여기에 제시한다.

A classical commercial insurance, which is used widely as the risk management methods for risk transferring and risk financing, includes the factors of interests, gambling and uncertainty, In 1985 Islamic Fiqc Academy declared that the classical commercial insurance violates the Islamic fundamental principles and beliefs, alteratively recommending a mutual insurance and takaful. A basic principle of takaful is the mutual aid in the Islamic community. On the basis of mutual aid, takaful participants (insurance policyholder) establishes the takaful fund, which is cooperation fund by participant contribution. Takaful fund is separated from shareholders' fund, and the profit and loss of takaful fund are responsible for takaful policyholder. Ownership and operation right of takaful belong to the takaful participants. In takaful, takaful company takes a role of agent or management operator. Comparing to the classical insurance, takaful has the rights of profit dividend, voting of executives, access to accounting books etc. which are additional favors for business company or individuals as takaful participants. Business companies and individuals should consider to use takaful to transfer risk and to enjoy takaful's additional advantages.

Suez운하를 이용할 경우 부산항에서 로테르담항까지의 수송거리가 11,340마일이 북극해 항로를 이용할 경우 6,860마일로 36%가 줄고 수송기간도 10일 이상 단축되므로 북극해항로를 통한 유럽과 아시아간의 상업적인 수송이 이뤄진다면 해운회사들의 물류비용이 대폭 절감될 것으로 전망된다. 이런 시점에서 2011년 9월 한-러 국장급 해운회담이 열렸으며, 2011년 11월 23일 부산 누리마루 APEC House에서 "북극해항로 상업운항의 현황과 전망"이라는 주제로 국제세미나가 개최 되었다. 현재 북극해 항로를 통과한 선박이 2007년 2척, 2008년 3척, 2009년 4척, 2010년 10척이었던 것이 2011년에는 34척 총 82만톤의 통과 수송이 이뤄졌고, 러시아 북극내의 물동량은 2백20만톤에 달할 것으로 전망되었으며, 2012년의 통과 물동량은 100만톤을 상회 할 것으로 전망된다. 이에 북극해 항로에 대한 소개와 빙하지역을 항해하는 선박에 대한 운항지침에 대하여 검토해보고저 한다.
