This study analyzed the process of university mergers that took place in Finland and Norway in order to present policy implications for the Korean government considering university merger as an effective policy instrument for restructuring of the Korean higher education system. Based on reviewing the previous literature and related documents, researchers conducted a comparative case study on the context, strategies, and outcomes of the implementation of university merger policies of the two countries. The results of analyses suggested that combination of government's clear direction-setting and enhanced autonomy of merging institutions was essential for successful mergers. Considerations on upgrading the structure of the whole higher education sector to meet new needs of the future society were also suggested.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relation between regional identity and national identity in a regional textbook in Korea. In geography education, regional textbooks are curriculum materials which represent regional identity based on territorial difference from other regions. In local curriculum level, the harmony between national unity and regional identity is to be pursued as educational objective. However, this harmony appears to be distorted in the school textbook in Je-Ju Province, a case region. For example, Confucian cultural landscapes are represented as otherness in regional discourses, but togetherness in the regional textbook. Also, the regional textbook implies that the boundary of external territorialization is mainly not regions but nations, and it seems to intend that leasers get a sense of place towards their region as periphery of nation. Therefore, we argue that regional identity, which must be stressed in a regional textbook, is marginalized in a case region.

In 3D gaming environment, it is important to simulate the physically plausible behaviors of gaming objects in real time. In particular, rigid body dynamics consists in the heart of most game physics. In this paper, we present a constraint-based rigid body simulation method using continuous collision detection as a collision detection method, and LCP formulation as a collision response method. The continuous collision detection method never misses any collisions and thus is able to accurately report the first time of collision as well as its associated colliding features. Moreover, since the number of colliding features is typically low, it also reduces the complexity in the LCP formulation.

We investigate the God gate olleh of the largest tomb, pyramid, in the world which is scattered in Jeju Island and construct link which is connecting Jeju people's custom to modern science. The three sacred gates and the two tombs are connected to the olegil space. In this space, the principle of complementarity in which coexistence exist between life and death is hidden in Jeju culture. It is a question and wait. Contrarily, the opposite is complementary. (Contraria Sunt Complementa Latin) This refers to the relationship of each other in relation to one another and in a mutually dependent relationship. Seminal vesicles are used as basic logic in DNA codon of human body as well as communication principle.

The trp2 gene encoding trifunctional enzyme in Coprinus cinereus was investigated the expression in the heterothallic mushroom species. To identify the homology of trp2 gene to Schizophyllum commune and Pleurotus ostreatus, southern hybridization was performed with plasmid pHIONA8 containing C. cinereus trp2 gene as a probe, which resulted in a strong signal indicating an homologous sequence to the chromosomal DNA of S. commune. About 50 transformants per dish was appeared in the complementation test by pHIONA8 using S. commune tryptophan auxotroph as host. In the mating test between transformants and other mating type alleles, the fruiting body of S. commune was formed at $30^{\circ}C$ in $2{\sim}3$ weeks.

효율적인 멀티미디어 검색의 필요성이 증대됨에 따라 내용기반 멀티미디어의 검색에 대한 다양한 기법들이 소개되고 있다. 그 중에서 친숙한 멜로디를 가지고 사용자가 직접 마이크를 통해 생성한 음성 질의에 대한 분석에 대해 다루고자 한다. 음성 질의에 사용되는 음성 데이터를 분석함으로써 검색에 이용하는 것이다. 음성데이터를 분석하기 위한 방법으로 시간영역에서 가장 많이 쓰이는 기법 중의 하나인 자기상관함수를 사용한다. 자기상관 함수를 이용하여 특정구간에서 발생하는 일정한 주기 즉 기본주기를 검출할 수 있다. 자기상관함수에 의해 분석된 결과를 가지고, 음의 높낮이를 구하기 위한 기본주파수 검출 알고리즘과 음의 길이, 음의 세기를 결정하기 위한 방법을 제안한다.

This paper focuses on Korean and Japanese female workers participating in the outside (secondary) labour market, especially with an attention given to two aspects. First, we explain how females are 'more outsiders' than males in the labour market. Secondly, we investigate M-shape in the female labour market participation by focusing on different proportion of non-standard worker. Then, in order to explain why women keep on being more concentrated in the outer side of the labour market, we examine the development of three policies in Korea and Japan since 1990s. Labour market deregulation policy, female employment policy and lastly, family policy are examined as institutional arrangement. Lastly, we discuss on how institutional combination is associated with females' concentration in the outside labour market in Korean and Japanese dual labour market.

Sporulation in the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe has been regarded as an important model of cellular development and differentiation. S. pombe cells proliferate by mitosis and binary fission on growth medium. Deprivation of nutrients especially nitrogen sources, causes the cessation of mitosis and initiates sexual reproduction by matting between two sexually compatible cell types. Meiosis is then followed in a diploid cell in the absence of nitrogen source. DNA fragment complemented with the mutations of sporulation gene was isolated from the S. pombe gene library constructed in the vector, pDB 248' and designated as pDB(spo5)1. We futher analyzed six recombinant plasmids, pDB(spo5)2, pDB(spo5)3, pDB(spo5)4, pDB(spo5)5, pDB (spo5)6, pDB(spo5)7 and found each of these plasmids is able to rescue the spo5-2, spo5-3, spo5-4, spo5-5, spo5-6, spo5-7 mutations, respectively. Mapping of the integrated plasmid into the homologous site of the S. pombe chromosomes demonstrated that pDB(spo5)1, and pDB(spu5)Rl contained the spo5 gene. Transcripts of spo5 gene were analyzed by Northern hybridization. Two transcripts of 3.2 kb and 2.5kb were detected with 5kb Hind Ⅲ fragment containing a part of the spo5 gene as a probe. The small mRNA(2.5kb) appeared only when a wild-type strain was cultured in the absence of nitrogen source in which condition the large mRNA (3.2kb) was produced constitutively. Appearance of a 2.5kb spo5-mRNA depends upon the function of the meil, mei2 and mei3 genes.

The purpose of this research was to develop and validate the coach-athlete relationship scale suitable to amateur golf players by applying the Rasch rating scale model. As the coach-athlete relationship scale, the Korean form of scale developed by Kim and Park (2008), which was revised based on the evidence on the basis of inspection contents, was used to conduct a survey on 217 amateur golf athletes. And the unidimensionality, which is the basic assumption of the Rasch model, was verified using the WINSTEPS program, and the appropriateness of the item category was established through the step calibration. The goodness of fit of each question was tested through the goodness-of-fit index and the differential item functioning (DIF) was estimated according to the golf career. When the goodness-of-fit index estimated for each question was 1.30 or more it was judged unfit and the significance level in the analysis was all set as.05. The results of the analysis showed that the measures variance explained by the Rasch measurement model was more (33.7%) than 20%, so the unidimensionality assumptions of the 11 questions (..hospitable posture when my coach is teaching) were satisfied. The result of analyzing the item category (7 scale) with step calibration was found to be unfit, but in the result of reanalyzing by rescoring into a 5-point scale, it was found to be fit. Particularly, in the result of estimating the goodness-of-fit using the systematized item category (5 scale), Question 10 (...my best when my coach is teaching) and Question 11 were found to be unfit, and as a result of estimating the differential functioning item according to golf career, Question 11 was found to be unevenly differentiated according to golf career. So the 5-point scale of Question 9 after eliminating the two questions which were unfit and differentiated was validated to be the coach-athlete relationship scale suitable to amateur golf athletes.

본 논문에서는 불확실성을 가지는 2차원 비선형 시스템을 안정화하기 위해서 추가 다이나믹스를 이용하여 출력 궤환 제어기법을 제안한다. 추가 다이나믹스는 이득값에 대한 것으로 0으로 수렴하는 구조를 지니고 있으며, 이 상태변수의 역수가 고이득의 역할을 함으로써 불확실성이 존재함에도 불구하고 제어목표를 이룰 수 있다. 더욱이 추가 다이나믹스는 그 설계에 의해 목표달성 후에는 본래의 초기값으로 복귀하는 구조를 지니고 있다.
