The effects of consumer counselor's work training in firm work performance and satisfaction (고객상담 부서 직원의 상담업무교육이 업무수행 및 업무 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examines the effects of consumer counseling education on the work performance and work satisfaction of consumer counselors, controlling the effects of other variables. The results of this study is as below: First, approximately 70% of consumer counselors have not had any education pertinent to their work. The level of work performance was highest in listening to customers' complaints, and then consistence of counseling work and explanation for counseling were next. Professionality was the last in order. Second, consumer counseling education did not affect the work performance. Instead, the number of counselors and work experience, along with whether the counselor majored in consumer studies, were more likely to increase the performance. Finally, educating counseling skills did not affect the level of work satisfaction. Instead, the work performance affected the level of work satisfaction. The number of workers and income were positively related with the level of work satisfaction.

Experiences of Training and Counselling of Life Planning Counselor for the Later Life (노후설계상담사의 상담교육 참여와 실제 상담경험)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand deeply the meaning of training and counselling experiences of life planning counselors for the later life. This study analyzed the meaning of training and counselling experiences of counselors and tried to structure the meaning of their experiences. The qualitative research was conducted with 12 counselors who got the license after completing life planning training and do counselling. This study found 4 categories, 15 sub-categories and 50 concepts. These results analyzed are : 1) Motivation of participating in life planning counselor training for the later life ; 2) Training experience of life planning counselor for the later life ; 3) Counselling experience as a life planning counselor for the later life ; and 4) Way to improve capacity as a life planning counselor for the later life. According to these results, this study proposed practice and policy suggestions to improve training curriculum, working process and building capacity of counsellors. Lastly, this study stated the limitation and significance of the study and also suggested another proposal for a follow-up study.

  • 정보화 시대를 맞이하여 교육의 중요성이 커지면서 교사의 주 업무인 교과 업무 외에 다른 업무가 증가하고 있다. 그 중 하나인 학생 상담은 과거의 가정방문 기간까지 사라져 교사들이 큰 어려움을 느끼는 것 중 하나이며, 학생의 학교 상담에 대한 신뢰도와 참여율이 낮아서 신뢰도와 참여율을 높이는 방안이 요구되고 있다. 기존에 연구 되던 상담시스템의 개발은 거의 모든 부분이 진학이나 진로 상담 위주로 개발되어 왔으며, 정작 중요한 학생의 생활 상담에 대한 연구는 제대로 이루어지지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구는 시간과 여건의 부족으로 학생에 대하여 문제아 학생이나 특수 학생의 상담위주로만 행해지던 생활 상담의 혜택을 일반 학생들에게도 줄 수 있고, 교사의 시간적인 효율성을 높이며 학생의 상담에 대한 부담감등의 해소와 학생에 다양한 정보 활용 등 상담 도우미 시스템의 요구사항, 설계 및 구현에 대하여 논한다.

Operation and Perception on Dietary Life Education and Nutrition Counseling of Elementary School in Chungbuk Province (충북지역 초등학교 영양교사의 식생활 교육과 영양상담 운영실태 및 인식)

  • The purpose of this study is to present a more effective nutrition education activation plan. As a result of investigating the dietary education operating situation, 58.9% underwent direct education, and 89.5% underwent food life education through traditional food culture succeeding business operation. The results from investigating the recognition regarding dietary education are as follows. The activation level by education types was as low as 2.24 points, the necessity was as high as 4.54 points, the difficult point in performing food life education was 'overwork' with 4.43 points, and the teaching activity ability level was 'can effectively prepare a teaching guidance plan' at 2.96 points. As a result of investigating the nutrition consultation operating situations, 62.8% underwent it and all of the students as well as some parents and teachers performed it. The consumed time per consultation for effective nutrition consultation was 10~20 minutes, the required education equipment and data were 'consultation program' with 40.3%, and the important content during consultation was 'contents related to eating habits' with 70.5%, which was recognized as the most important.

Training, Working State and Ways of Improving Work of Sex Education Counselors in Health Centers (대구·경북지역 보건소 성교육 담당자의 훈련 및 업무현황과 개선방안)

  • This present study was conducted to reduce problems by analyzing training and work of sex education counselors and to come up with ways of improving sex education counseling. A survey was performed in 57 subjects at health centers who finished training on sex education counseling in Taegu Metropolitan City and cities, kuns, and gus of Kyongsangbuk Province from December, 1999 to February, 2000 on general characteristics, items relating to the work of sex education, and ways of improving work. The results are as follows. Out of the sex education counselors, there were 55 females, taking 99% out of the total counselors, and the average age of these counselors was 42 years. There were 26 nurses, and their government grade was level 7 in 36 and level 6 in 14. The members who had finished sex education counseling at each public health center was 2.1 counselors at an average. Among those had finished sex education training, 30 was not in sex counseling. When analyzed the answers given by 27 sex counselors who were counseling at the time and the results are as follows. As for the amount of work, 15 answered to have too much work and 1 little; as for having pride on being a sex education counselor, 18 answered to felt pride and 7 so-so; as for materials for sex education and counseling, 25 answered to use videos, 23 books, 10 pictures, 8 beam projectors, and 7 slides. All of the subjects answered to have other responsibilities besides sex education and counseling, and the satisfaction felt on having other responsibilities was 6 satisfied, 12 average, and 2 dissatisfied. The proportion of work load in sex education counselors was other work besides sex education 76.2%, sex education at schools 7.6%. collecting sex education materials 5.7%, counseling of adolescents 4.9%. development of sex education materials 3.5%, and administrative work related to sex education 3.1%. The biggest problem of their work was over-load in 9 respondents, lack of sex education materials in 8, lack of training in 6, and shortage of professionals in 2. As for the answer on the ways of improving matters related to work of sex education counselors, the most frequent answer was that the organizations responsible for sex education needs to be more professional and systematic, followed by dividing the work load so that they could concentrate on developing education materials and sex education and counseling. Thus, the results of the present study indicated that in order to utilize human resources efficiently, the speciality of counselors needs to be considered when making personnel transfers among health centers, and continued activity as a sex education counselor needs to promoted by reducing other overloading tasks. And systematic re-training of the counselors needs to be done, and education manuals that are diverse and realistic to applicable to the children, who are to be the subjects of sex education, need to be developed and distributed.

Job and Competency of Healthy Family Supporter in Charge of Counselling Work for Training (상담영역 건강가정사의 직무 및 보수교육 콘텐츠 개발을 위한 역량연구)

  • The aims of this article are to examine the basic law, contents and concept of counselling work for healthy family and provide the jobs and competency of healthy family supporter for counselling work. The research objects are 48 healthy family supporters for counselling work inclusive of full-time and part-time position. They are analyzed through the survey using questionnaire made by ministry of women and family and headquarter of healthy family support centers. The process of research consists of two parts. One is to suggest their jobs and requirements, the other is to offer their core competency and area for improvement. First, the jobs of healthy family supporters for counselling work are planning, performance and valuation consist of 29 items. A publicity activity of them is the work strengthened strategically. The requirements for the performance of their duties are having a master's degree, career for 3years, and a certificate of qualification of family counselor, healthy family supporters and social worker. Second, their competencies are understanding of the characteristic and life cycle of family, family law, education of family life, ability of documentation, data analysis, sensitivity of the change of family, society and environment, ability of solving the problem, attitude of the dignity of man, positiveness and so on.

Answering User Queries on Online Learning Platforms through Natural Language Processing and Keyword Visualization Using Word Cloud (자연어처리를 통한 온라인 학습 플랫폼 사용자 질의 답변 및 Word cloud를 활용한 키워드 시각화)

  • 최근 온라인 학습의 비중이 증가함에 따라 온라인 학습 서비스의 일부인 온라인 상담 부분도 비례하여 증가하고 있으며, 많은 상담량으로 인해 상담 서비스의 품질이 저하되고 답변의 속도, 효율성도 감소하는 문제가 발생한다. 국내 교육기관에서는 서비스 개선과 사용자 맞춤형서비스를 제공하기 위해 다양한 연구를 진행하고 있으며 민원을 처리하는 챗봇 등 자동 답변 서비스 도입을 추진하고 있다. 챗봇 및 자동 답변 서비스는 서비스 제공자 입장에서 저예산으로 단순한 질문에 대하여 신속하고 효율적인 서비스를 제공할 수 있으며 서비스 이용자는 즉각적인 답변과 유사한 답변 예시를 확인함으로 질문을 빠르게 해결할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 국가 공공기관에서 제공하는 학습 서비스는 단순하고 반복적인 문의가 많고 정형적인 질의응답이 주로 등록이 되고 있다. 자동 답변 서비스는 이런 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 대안이 된다. 서비스 이용자가 등록한 문의를 기반으로 학습한 답변 서비스는 담당자의 반복된 업무처리 경감과 사용자의 답변감소, 일관된 답변처리로 서비스 품질개선에 큰 영향을 줄 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 사용자의 질문에 효율적인 답변 및 민원 처리 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 방법을 제시하며, 관리자의 업무능력 향상과 효율성을 위해 기간별 키워드 빈도수를 계산하여 Word cloud를 생성하여 제공함으로써 사용자들에게 일정 기간 내 빈도수가 높은 키워드 관련 공지 및 안내를 할 수 있도록 한다.

Effect on the Job Accomplishment of Coordinator at Dental Clinics (치과 코디네이터의 업무수행 효과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to promote efficiency of hospital management with customer satisfaction by understanding qualitative system about more systemic hospital service coordinator's job under analyzing the satisfactory degree and coherence of hospital service coordinator's job because of increase of customer need level by medical environment improvement and the variety of offering method of medical service. I allocated a questionnaire per each dental clinic at total 226. According to the study results stated above, generally necessity on employment of a coordinator appeared high and to the necessity, I considered that a dental clinic coordinator's job must strengthen the role for going still more to customer with discriminated mind and service not simple kind service to medical consumer, with establishing more systematic and realistic educational culture in qualification and educational department of a dental coordinator. Also a dental coordinator must be changed to promote customer satisfaction and efficiency of hospital management by more systematic business assignment and role establishment.

  • Changwon National University has been developing and using a computerized supporting system named SAVIORS for ABEEK(Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) related tasks since the year of 2001. The main purpose of the development of SAVIORS is to totally computerize all tasks related to ABTEK so that faculty staff may perform their job as readily and efficiently as possible. In this paper, detailed functions and utilization records of the SAVIORS are introduced for sharing the advantages of the system with other institutes.

The effects of work environmental factors and self-compassion on burnout of school counselors (학교 상담자의 업무환경 요인 및 자기자비가 소진에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of work environmental factors and self-compassion on the burnout of school counselors. The subjects of this study were 312 school counselors under the D District Office of Education participated. In order to examine the effects of individual, organizational, and self-compassion factors on burnout, correlation and hierarchical regression were applied. Individual factors were gender, age, health status, and personal hobbies. Organizational factors were employment type, working hours, and job satisfaction. Self-compassion and burnout were measured using the Korean version of self-compassion and Baslach burnout instruments. The correlation analysis showed that the three factors are correlated with each other. In the hierarchical regression analysis, three models were developed as personal, organizational, and self-compassion factors. The results of regression analysis are as follows. The influence of self-compassion on burnout was stronger than the organizational factor (i.e., employment type, working time, job satisfaction) and the personal factor (i.e., age, health status, hobby). There were no significant differences between genders. This study results suggest that self-compassion can reduce a level of burnout significantly, although personal and organizational factors have a significant impact on burnout. Further study and suggestions for reducing the level of burnout of school counselors were discussed.
